GMM 2582: We Drank As Much Pre-Workout As Humanly Possible

Let’s find out what happens when we try pre-workout. Let’s talk about that Good Mythical Morning. Now, I know this may come as a shock to you, but I am no gym bro. Despite that, today I am pumped to dabble in their culture by testing pre-workout. Now, if you don’t know what pre-workout is, well, you need to spend more time on bodybuilder subreddits. Yeah, don’t we all? It’s a wonderland over there. Basically, pre-workout is a supplement filled with things like creatine, vitamins, amino acids, and usually a lot of caffeine, like, way too much caffeine, all designed to increase your energy and help you get the most out of your workout. And it’s also known to make people feel a little crazy. What’s gonna happen to us? It’s time for, Is That God Coursing Through My Veins, Or Is It Just a Pre-Workout? A Scientific Exploration. Okay, you mother. Today, the pre-workout you’re gonna be taking is called Mother Bucker, not a sponsor. Stevie. Now, there are repeated warnings on the label that this is not for beginners and should not be mixed with any other caffeine sources. And we’ve got a lineup of flavors for you to try here, all from the Mother Bucker line. So each one of these little tasting cups has about a third of a dose, so you’re gonna drink up all three. First, we have Gym Junkie, which is red raspberry, and orange. So go ahead and give that a taste. Give it a taste, she says. Maybe I’ll go, I’m not gonna drink it all at once. I’m gonna give it a little so I can go back. Can you believe she called us that? Well, it was censored, so I couldn’t tell what she said. At least that’s. I heard it. That’s what I’m trying to, clean out my ears. That is pungent and triggering. Well, that, it says on their website, hands down, most intense pre-workout formula we, or for that matter, anyone has ever created, which is indicated by the fact that they just put, it’s so grainy because it’s packed with so many things that probably shouldn’t be packed into such a small space. I didn’t love that flavor. What is this one? This is a Musclehead Mango, which is mango and pineapple. Oh, okay. Don’t spill it. I did a little bit. Don’t get it in your muscles. I like this a little bit better. Yeah, I like it better, too. It’s not quite as crazy. I mean, it’s still sour, but it’s not as sour. I am looking forward to the frequent urination, which is one of the side effects of the amount of caffeine that we’re about to consume, which is four hundred milligrams. Good gracious. Four X the amount of coffee. And finally, you have these Strawberry Sour sets. So, that’s four cups of coffee? Okay. I’m actually shaking a little bit already. Oh, interesting. This reminds me of. That one’s okay. That one’s. My last trip to Santa Barbara. As far as the taste goes. I like it, sour strawberry candy. Wine tasting. I was like, what are you doing in Santa Barbara with strawberries? I think I’m gonna. Wine tasting. I think the mango is my favorite taste. Well, the news is that you have to drink down all of them, so maybe. You know what? You know, chase down the one that you don’t like with the other two. Strawberry’s my favorite. And do a little swirl to make it catch all the granules. I mean, there’s, like, devil’s peppers in this thing. Yeah. It’s a vasodilator, which will help you get the gnarly pump you dream of. Yeah! I don’t dream of pumps, not that kind of pump. Oh, you don’t dream of pumps? Not that kind. I always enjoy a pump dream. Okay. Does it, is it like helium? Does it make your voice? There’s granules in the bottom of this. I’m gonna have to get those granules in me. We look like a team. Like a generic, we’re a generic workout team. My favorite is the Sour Strawberry. Yours is the mango? You get the granules. You left granules. Okay, so I want to make sure that you guys get steeped in this bro culture. So, there is a trend with pre-workout called dry scooping, which involves taking a full dose of the powder and throwing it back into your mouth, not mixed with any liquid. So you choke on it? Yeah, that’s the thing, is that it’s really dangerous, and we don’t want that for you. You have a whole episode to shoot, so there’s little, tiny, little, tiny spoons that you’ll see to the side. Why don’t you just, you know, try it with that? Try and get the experience without the danger. What is their reason? Cause it’s cool, man. It’s cool, bro. Because everything they do is based on reason discovered in podcasts. That’s right. They’re not advocating dry scooping at podcasts. Other muscular men on microphones. Oh, you seem a little bitter. I just don’t, I just don’t get it. How much should we do? I think that this should touch your tongue first. And the only way to do that is to defy gravity with it. And that’s the beta alanine, right? It started in my jaws. It has a weird effect. It feels like I’m burnt underneath. It feels like you’ve got burlap on. Yes. Like you, like, you know what I’m saying? Like, if you’re in mourning and you wear burlap. Should we get a baseline again? Well, now, so, yeah. So, for the Mythical Beasts watching, we did establish some controls pre, pre-workout. So, now we’re going to go back through those exercises and see how they compare. So, first, if you’ll put those monitors on, we’re going to get your blood pressure and heart rate and see how that compared. I’m one hundred and seven. That’s very, very low. Over sixty-five. Very low. And you are one thirty two over eighty-two. And my heart rate is already at ninety-eight. My blood pressure was already high. You’re just. Whoa. One forty-nine over eighty-four. That’s high. You’re crazy, man. How’s your blood pressure still so low? I don’t know. I’m a cool cat. It’s lower, I think. Mine’s lower. You got low blood pressure, but dang. What does that? What does that mean? I don’t know. Mine’s lower. What is your heart rate? What about the heart rate? Seventy-five. It’s basically the same. I feel so amped right now. What was your heart rate? I feel amped, too. One hundred and one. Oh, okay. And I can get way higher than that. And my resting heart rate, like, during the night, is like fifty-eight. Just to give you an idea of where this, where this thing is going. So, it must not impact my heart. Okay, well, let’s see if it impacted Lucas’s special jitter toy. If we can bring that out.
