Is expensive fast food really worth it? – Let’s talk about that. (light music) “Good Mythical Morning.” – Whoever’s setting fast food prices nowadays must really love teepeeing because all the prices keep going up and they stay there. – And they stay there? – And they stay there. So today we’re doing it again, y’all. We’ve wrangled up a fresh batch of the most expensive fast foods to see if the price matches the taste. – It’s time for The Fast Food Bling Boys are Still Making it Rain at the Drive-Thru. That’s us. We’re still the Fast Food Bling Boys. (upbeat music) – [Stevie] Okay, boys, you’re going to be tasting the highest priced menu items from six of the most popular fast food restaurants. Then you’ll try to match them to the correct menu price behind you. If you fail to match at least four to their correct price, you lose. – Oh. – And we’re starting with Shake Shack’s most expensive menu item, the Black Truffle Shack Stack Burger. – Ooh, have you ever gotten this? – I’ve never gotten it because- – You’re scared of it. – I don’t get to go that often and I would just, I really love the Classic Double Stack. – And I love their Smoke Shack. – So, its hard. It’s hard to move to something else. But there is a- – What’s that on that? – Fried mushroom? – It’s Gruyere cheese, a crisp fried Portobello mushroom filled with melted Munster and cheddar cheeses, topped with black truffle sauce. – Holy moly. – All right. And that bread? – Mm-hm, that’s a good burger. There’s cheese inside the mushroom? – [Stevie] Yeah, there’s, I guess there’s Gruyere on the outside and then Muenster and Cheddar on the inside of the mushroom. – That’s real good. I’m having to hold myself back a little bit. – I needed that to be in that mushroom because I was afraid to eat the mushroom. – Are you afraid of mushrooms? – Kinda. I like raw mushrooms, but cooked and covering an entire burger, which is one of my favorite things, I just don’t wanna mess up a burger experience. – It’s not as good as the other ones, as the regular one, or the one that I like. It’s got the peppers on it. – But I really like the truffle. – But you got truffle and I that’s expensive. – I’m not. – You got mushrooms. – I’m not hating the mushroom. – They’re hard to find sometimes. – Yeah, you gotta get a pig involved. – And sometimes you can make a whole sandwich outta just a mushroom. In fact, they sell that. Then you got the meat. – Right. – That costs money. – I’m just gonna bite the mushroom. – [Rhett] Look at all that cheese coming outta that. – [Link] Look at all, that’s so much cheese. – [Rhett] That cheese is expensive. And also Shake Shack is already a little bit more pricey than the average place, don’t you think? Don’t you stink? – Yeah, I do stink. I’m just gonna eat a little bit more. I ate the mushroom by itself, that was a mistake. – You think it’s 14.49? No way. How much is it? How much is a regular burger at Shake Shack? Last time you got it, what do you remember? – $11. – So this is 12.49 or 13.55. – I think it’s 13.55. – We’re saying it’s 13.55. – I think we were surprised. Last time we did this, Subway was the one that really surprised us. – Yeah, Subway, you better not do that. – We don’t know what we’re talking about. (upbeat music) – [Stevie] Next up is McDonald’s most expensive menu item. The 40 piece Chicken McNuggets. (Link growling) – Ooh, that hurt my lip. Lip damage. – Go high. Oh, ho, ho! – It hit the tongue. Now you try it. – Not, with a new nugget. I want a new nugget. – Why do you want a new nugget? This one’s moist, It’ll stay on. – We have 40. – It’ll stay on the… – We have 40. This one, gimme one more chance. – 38, just gimme one more chance. – Just gimme one more chance. – Come on, baby. Just gimme one more chance. – Gimme one more chance. Oh! (audience laughing) – Remember how easy I did it? – Yeah. Okay, well maybe- – Classic taste. – Maybe next year. – I mean, could you eat, why am I even asking this? 40 of these? – I ate 55 wings one time. (group laughing) – You probably ate the bones too, didn’t you? – I used to go to McDonald’s and get a Big Mac meal and then get 20 nuggets on the side (laughing). – Wow, sir. A hot nugget is a good nugget. – I impress you with that? – A cold nugget, yeah, I did. – You said “wow.” – I did get impressed. – I don’t get a ow from you very often. – I know, I just feel for you. 40 nuggets, now how much? – Oh yeah. – How much is 10 nuggets? – What are we doing here? – How much is 10? How much is 10 nuggets? – Mm. Surely you get a discount as they get more and more. I mean, if they’re like $7 for 10, well then it would be $28. That’s not, there’s no way. – You get a discount. – It’s not $7 for 10. – $5? – It’s probably $4. – Really? That’s a steal. Alright, so that would be 12. – No, that would be 16. (group laughing) – That’s right. – Good thing you get a- – Wow, wow! – (laughing) Double wow! – Twice, you impressed me two times. – Then you get a 25% discount from that and you’re down to 12. But that’s too much of a discount. We’re gonna lose money if we do that. Is what McDonald’s is thinking. – So something has to be down here. – I think that this might be where the Shake Shack is currently. This is so much meat. – But then I think the Shake Shack goes here. Truffle. – Truffle, he said it. Wow. – Mm-hm. – I gave it back, right back. – Yeah. (upbeat music) – [Stevie] Next we have Jersey Mike’s most expensive regular sub. A California Club Sub. – [Rhett] Oh, it stayed up. – The most expensive regular sub is a California Club Sub. What’s on that? – [Stevie] Turkey, provolone, Applewood smoked bacon, and fresh avocado on white bread. – [Link] Okay. – What, it has tomato on it? – Yeah. Thank you for removing it. – Okay, so it’s expensive because California and it’s expensive because of avocado. – It’s called California because it’s avocado and turkey? You’re saying things are more expensive in California? – That was my little joke. – Hm. Wow. – But the avocado people will kill each other for avocados. Have you watched any of those like- – What? – Documentaries about avocados in Mexico? – No, no, no. – It’s dangerous to be an avocado farmer. – It’s like the new blood diamond? – That’s the main reason I’m not one. – What the crap. Why? ‘Cause they’re so pricey. – Yeah. – It’s like gold. – Mm-hm. – It’s intense. – It’s the new gold. Eight’s my go-to. So I don’t go with the avocado and I need to eat less bacon. But there’s bacon on this. There ain’t no truffle on it. I’ll tell you that. – So what’s the difference between the one that you get and this? – Ham. Ham. – Is the difference. – Is the difference. Ham instead of avocado. – Hey, so we need your knowledge. What do you pay for that? – Oh. Uh. – Because I think avocado is probably- – When you say we need my knowledge, it really shakes my boots. – Okay, well come on. (group laughing) Hey, it’s in there. It’s in your brain. You just have to learn how to effortlessly- – I think it’s like effort 7.49. – 7.49 plus two? 9.49. – We’re not even on the- – No, you’re not even on the, so you’re wrong. You’re wrong. – 8.49 plus two? 10.49. – If you’re right about this, then we’re down here. – Avocado costs more than two. – More than two. – Four. – No way. – We’re in an 11.99 territory. – Well, there we have two options right in that area. – We’re gonna double up. That’s what we’re gonna do. = I’m not confident with what just happened, but I’ll go with it. – Why aren’t you confident? Was it because of my delivery? – Because you said avocado is $4 extra. Nobody’s doing that. – They kill for it in Mexico. – Okay, there we go. (upbeat music) You should start the New Year out right with our new Mythical Move Club long sleeve tee and corduroy hat, look at that. You can get this- – This is a fun little hat. – Both at mythical.com. – I’m liking that. What’s this hat say? – It says Mythical Move Club. The same thing that my shirt says. – You know, you remember, what’s it say on the back? – It says whatever together. Oh, I like that. What ifs to gives. – I like that. – [Stevie] Okay, we thought it would be fun to give you a menu item that you had the last time we played this because of course- – I thought so. – [Stevie] You should totally remember the price of this. It’s Panda Express’ most expensive bowl item, the Honey Walnut Shrimp Bowl. – Okay. – We ate it. We talked about it. I’m accessing memories that may or may not be real. I think that we thought that this was the very most expensive thing. – Mm-hm. – Because it was shrimp and you said, “Shrimp are really expensive” or something like that. And “Panda Express is more expensive,” something like that. – And walnuts. – And walnuts. – Or something. – People get killed over walnuts. (group laughing) And then at the end of the day, we realized we were oh, oh so wrong because the Subway was the one that was so expensive. – Yep. – And we were surprised at how cheap these shrimp might be. – Yep. – And we said it was 11.99. – (clapping) Yes, that’s what I’m thinking. – Ha ha! Try again, ha ha, suckers. – You’re gonna try to trick us and you’re gonna suck for it. – Not the Bling Boys. (upbeat music) – [Stevie] This is Carl’s Jr’s most expensive menu item, a Big Angus Guacamole Bacon Burger. – Ah, there you go, avocados. – Oh, oh, oh goodness, that one almost came out of the woodwork for me. – [Rhett] What is it called again? – [Stevie] Big Angus Guacamole Bacon Burger. – What did you think I was like trying to trap you in something? – Well, look at that Big Angus, Rhett? – Well, yeah. – No, I just was curious. – How do you feel about the scalloped edges of that Big Angus? – It’s one of my favorite things about the burgers from Carls Jr. – Makes me a little uncomfortable. – It looks like grandma shaped that thing herself. Hm. – Smokey bacon. – Got a lot contributing to price here. As we’ve already established, avocados. People will get killed over those. Bacon. – Do they? – I guarantee you people have died over bacon. – Do they kill ’em with the avocados? – No. – They like shove ’em in their mouth and suffocate ’em? – No. – Do they make ’em eat so many avocados they die? – I don’t know the details. I bet you more people have died over bacon though. – Historically? – Yeah. – ‘Cause avocados didn’t exist until, well, I didn’t know about ’em until I moved to California. (group laughing) – Yeah, yeah, that’s when they became a real thing. – For me. – Because you’re like a baby. And if it doesn’t- – Right. – If you can’t see it, it doesn’t exist. – Yeah, I do not have object permanence when it comes to avocado. But if you’ll note, I know what object permanence is. (group laughing) – Mm-hm, wow. – I’m a mystery. I’m an article waiting to be written. Alright. – So you got bacon. – Shall I take another bite? – You got beef. But- – Angus. – You’re at Carl’s Jr. – Angus. – Angus means nothing. – Angus is not like Wagyu. – Angus means nothing. I mean, it does mean something. But for our where we’re coming from. – What do you mean? It sounds like it means something. Why would they say it? – I’m just saying, I don’t think it means as much to the price. – It doesn’t mean as much to the taste, I’ll tell you that. It’s not a bad burger. – I think it’s 12.49. – It’s a bit of a sog fest. – You think one of these moves up to 12.49? Jersey Mike’s? Maybe. You don’t think so? – I think this is more expensive than the Jersey Mikes. – Well, then put it at 12.49. – Okay. Or you put it at 12.49. I’m gonna put mine over here. – We’ve done it. – We did the things. (upbeat music) – [Stevie] Finally we have Wienerschnitzel’s most expensive menu item, size large fries and meatballs. – [Rhett] They got meatballs at Wienerschnitzel?. – I have recently heard about this. My son was in a car with another family and- – Oh, is he okay? – He was great. He actually seemed to be better than he was with our family. – Yeah. – With the way he talked about it. He was like, “Mom, dad, we went to this place called Wienerschnitzel.” – Hold on, he was talking to you as if he had never heard of the restaurant before? – Yeah, yeah, and there’s one like five miles from us. – Right. – We’d never been there. And he was like, “When we got there,” this family, it was a friend of his and you know their family and he was like, “They’re such a fun family. And we were all in the car together and they all participate.” – In what, a game? – Like “fun” he said. He said, “They were daring each other to get the meatball sandwich” or whatever it was. – It sounds like he was saying that- – Not this. – As opposed to our family. – Yeah, he did say that. He did seem to be saying that. But that’s how I learned that there were meatballs when my son wanted to live with another family. (group laughing) – [Rhett] That’s clearly where he is headed. Oh gosh. – Sorry. Sorry for that. The picture shows the meatballs on the fries, meatballs at a fast food restaurant. – I actually am pretty fond of this. I like meatballs. And you buy frozen meatballs and cook ’em up at home. – They’re pretty good. – And they’re good. That’s what they’ve done. Probably. – Meatballs at Wienerschnitzel. – That’s a very good meatball. – I need some time to wrap my head around that. – Take it. We’ll clock wipe. (whimsical music) – Now I understand. – Okay. He understood. – Now I understand why- – How long was that clock wipe? Three days. – I now understand why your son wants to live with another family. (group laughing) – That’s not what you were supposed to be thinking about. You’re supposed to be thinking about why meatballs are so good and at Wienerschnitzel. We need another clock wipe? – No, I’m good. – Come on, come on. It’s fun. – Okay. (whimsical music) – And we’re back. It’s been another 43 minutes. Have you figured out what you were thinking about? – Yeah, I think that these are not that expensive. – Yep. 10.70. – Also, I think- – They pack a punch of flavor though. – That we are wrong about the 40 nuggets. You know why? What do they not have? Avocado! – Oh avocado! – No one’s dying over these nuggets. Okay, so. – Whoa! And there’s avocado here, but the only thing that trumps the avocado is the truffle. You remember the truffle wars? So many deaths. Okay, so we’re doing this. Feel pretty good about that. And I’m not just saying that ’cause I’m wearing a hat. – Okay. – I feel pretty good about- – [Stevie] I’m gonna tell you how many you have right currently. And then I’m gonna allow you to do a little switcheroo. – Yeah, we won’t need to because we have six right. – I mean these two are the same. So- – Half. – Half! – I said currently have. – Oh. – Two correct. – Okay, okay, I’ll be dadgum it. We have two correct? – Which ones? – I feel like it’s definitely Wienerschnitzel. – Is the cheapest? – And if I was right about the sub, we need to switch that and the… We only have two correct. I think we have the extremes correct. – Why would you know that? (group laughing) – ‘Cause Shake Shack is pricier anyway. – That’s what I thought. I think that these are more. – Let’s switch these. – I think this is more expensive. – Yep, yep, let’s switch those. – And then I think that these nuggets- – And switch these. – Are so cheap you don’t even realize it. – [Link] Yep, yep, yep. There we go. (group laughing) – [Stevie] Okay, I’m gonna reveal from the cheapest to the most expensive. – Oh, we didn’t do anything here. (group laughing) – Hold on, hold on, hold on, we’re not done. – Thank you for laughing. – 40 nuggets. No. – We gotta bring Wienerschnitzel. – One of these is going down to 10.70. What’s going down to 10.70? It’s not nuggets. It can’t be shrimp. – Let’s put it Panda. The thing that they do is they only give you five shrimp or is that ’cause we ate two? – We ate two. – Yeah. We’re falling apart here. – [Rhett] You think so? You think the meatballs are 11:99? – Here, let me just do that for you ’cause it doesn’t matter. – [Rhett] Yep, now we’ve got all of ’em right. – We’ve learned our lesson. We went from making the shrimp the most expensive last time to the least this time. – Yeah, 100% right. – [Stevie] Okay, we’re gonna start down at cheapest. At 10.70 we have Panda Express. (both celebrating) – Yes! – Yeah. – Yes. – [Stevie] At 11.99 we have Wienerschnitzel. (both celebrating) – Wow. (group laughing) – [Stevie] At 11.99 we have McDonald’s. (both celebrating) – Yes! – What, what? – [Stevie] At 12.49 we have Carl’s Jr. (both celebrating) – Are you messing with us or is this actually happening? – It’s happening, it’s real, man. – [Stevie] At 13.55 we have Jersey Mike’s, which means 14.49 is Shake Shack. (both celebrating) Which means it’s a Queen Sweep! – We did it, man. (Link singing) We did it! We’re on fire this year. – Yes! (Rhett sighing) Look at that, look what we did. – Thanks for commenting and sharing this video. – You know what time it is. – Hi, I’m Carly. – And I’m Mark. – And we’re from Phoenix, Arizona. And we just finished the $5 value meal taste test. And it’s time… – [Both] To spin the Wheel of Mythicality. – I wonder which one won? I don’t know. Click the top link to watch us play video games with our voices in good mythical moor. – And find out where the Wheel of Mythicality is gonna land. – [Rhett] The Mythical Move Club long sleeve tee and corduroy hat are available now at mythical.com.
