today our friendship will truly be tested let’s test it good mythical morning Trust is a key component of every healthy friendship it’s also a key component to co-worker relationships newsflash Rhett we are both of those friends and co-workers friends and co-workers so today is about assuring up the trust that we have between the two co-working friends yeah what I’ve done is I’ve found trust exercises that we are going to I was gonna say compete but we’re gonna complete together and it’s totally gonna build our trust together and you can also complete these with your friends if you want to build trust hopefully we won’t be injured are you ready yes all right to the trust park where’s that over here trust welcome to the trust park it’s not actually what it’s called that’s just what I’m calling it all right first exercise is called the human spring we’re gonna touch hands and hold them there matter how I do this and so I contact is optional at this point so what we’re gonna do is we’re gonna basically form a triangle by trusting each other well we don’t eat I trust you link all right so what we’re gonna do is start stepping back step back keep going keep on keep going I don’t trust you I don’t you don’t weigh enough do you going okay good grip you got a cook do you trust me look at me some of you trust me I trust you I trust you I don’t trust mom’s trust okay this next trust exercise is called minefield Rhett as you can see I’m blindfolded I see that as I can’t see I’m blindfolded Oh so what you’re gonna do is you’re gonna lead me through a minefield basically an obstacle course so to speak I guess using only your vocalizations and I have the perfect place that I would like to guide you link okay let’s do it okay link turn to your left and walk but no no I mean just like turn to your look at what was your left now walk straight watch your step something in front of you take a step over it yep yep yep yep now walk straight forward don’t put your arms up just you don’t trust me honey you don’t trust me okay okay stop go to your three o’clock walk you can walk quickly well quickly your three o’clock a little bit to you two o’clock having trouble even balance okay stop go to your 9 o’clock yep there you go walk straight okay take two steps forward two big steps okay stop freeze right there now squat down lower look now turn to your 9 o’clock get down on all fours go a little bit to your right and crawl under that thing December 15 crawl there you go keep going there you go buddy trust me you got to be ok trust me ok now go to your left I feel like I look so bored left hard left hard left yeah come on out yep straight straight turn to your right hard right hard right oh come on crawl trust me man Oh crawl see very distrusting ok keep going straight you coming straight stop go a little bit to your right yep straight keep going speed it up crawl fast like a beetle beetle walk across beautiful beautiful ok stop stand up trust me man above you I wouldn’t do that to you take one step forward another step yeah your snap should really small that are very untrusting if that’s turn to your left okay now take a step up and just keep walking take a step let me take a step off take a step up oh yeah there you go take another step dig another something yeah yeah now you won’t get back up on it get back up on that thing you were on man what is did you trust me okay I got it you don’t even need to use your hands man no hands oh yeah all right just take a step just walk right up this thing don’t worry nothing’s above you just walk just walk now watch your head yep now turn around and come back down on the count of three do you trust me yeah I kind of know where I’m at okay one two three yeah trust okay this one’s called running free as I can’t see I’m blindfolded again yep I am going to start at a walk you’re gonna lead me to begin running and I’m told this it requires a lot of trust to run at full speed while blindfolded oh my goodness oh we’re in the darkness I didn’t let you hit I didn’t let you hit the thing that was pretty nerve-racking what’s up you trust me trust okay this next one is called proximity basically we start really far apart and we say how we feel and then we get a little closer say how we feel keep repeating the process until we’re in close proximity I’ll trust you whatever you say all right how do you feel I feel doing I’m normal this is totally normal this is comfortable let’s take a big step in okay I can see you better a little bit yeah I can’t smell you though you’re downwind go again okay this is like hey what’s up it’s like I can almost give you a high-five but I don’t really need to right let’s take another step okay Michael it’s too close where I’ve done this is closer than I’d normally get to you I can smell your breath it could be your beard I don’t know what I’m smelling a little uncomfortable move closer but let’s do I don’t know I’m trying to breathe but I trust you you’re uglier this close I trust you we got to fully explore our feelings uh I don’t feel good I’m not proud of this moment nope okay I’m ready whenever you are me too I think we’ve learned everything there is alone about this just back away slowly you want to do a countdown three two one okay all right at least no one saw that trust okay this last exercise is called eye contact and touch and I met Kevin here who happened to be watching the previous exercises instead of me conducting the last trust exercise I’m gonna guy the two of you to conduct the experiment trust just hold your hands open and then Kevin grab Brett’s hands like that and then we need I contact and what’s going to happen is trust I guess I mean there’s supposed to be 60 seconds of eye contact starting now there’s no talking just and I’ll just commentate a little bit now these two men have never met before but they’re doing it look at it Kevin’s losing his composure a little bit but that’s okay that’s losing his composure a second but now he’s regained it Kevin’s done this before it’s nothing new for him never done I just stay in the moment you’re doing great Kevin’s a pro at this he’s done this many times and now Kevin how do you feel was there trust established yeah I don’t know yeah you’ve never met before no I trust you more than any stranger I’ve ever set on a park bench where that held hands and stares that for 60 seconds okay do you have any questions no is this over it’s over but don’t forget it trust well I don’t know how much I trust you but uh I sure do trust Kevin all right feel free to try out these trust exercises with your friends co-workers loved ones anyone you need to build trust with probably not strangers at the park I’m just saying thanks for liking and commenting on this
