the world might have this one right just let me put this out there the whole 18 thing because when you’re 18 traditionally is when you have taken on responsibility for your own actions in your life and your own finances so there’s a whole set of consequences that happen when you get in a wreck right and when you’re 16 and it’s you know we just talked about this yesterday when I ran out you ran into the ditch and you had to call your mom and then I had to call my dad again it wasn’t that big of a deal because it’s like dad I know you’re gonna handle this you know my parents took care of it for it you didn’t have to pay but as soon as I turned 18 or really it should have had to pay for me it was when I graduated from college was when I was at a place where I was suddenly on my own but matured enough to drive safely and appropriately not all which is why the driving test is important as long as they don’t text or talk while driving 16 or 17 is okay first of all don’t talk or text on can do it hey you know you can do it there’s people who grow up on farms they drive tractors and stuff from a young age they till the land and they know how to handle machinery they should be able to drive and take themselves as a school or to a job well that’s it but there’s a different license for that kind of thing if you work on a farm there’s a different class of license but that already exists for younger kids to go out and work on try to feel pride if you’re good enough that you should be able to pass the other test and they’re saying that’s good enough but then when the kid who drives the tractor for at home drives the car to school and he’s like 10 mmm the other 10 year olds riot and then we have we have public rioting we don’t want that well what if the car was had a governor on it where it could only go as fast as a tractor then it’s and the government oversaw out that installation of the governor so yeah that’s good I like that remember when we used to ride my granddad’s golf cart oh yeah and it went really fast and then one day we went there and it and it was like you put the pedal to the metal like we always did hmm and it went half as fast yeah he put a an intelligence test to have one I think some of the people who have driven me places I think of some of the people who driven many places and I also think of the stupid things they’ve done yeah some people just have no common sense and I think they have no place operating machinery that’s not a bad idea but I think the jury I think the idea and since has nothing to do with operating machinery that if you wait until you’re 18 what you’re doing is you’re letting people loose and you’re letting them out to society on their own at the same time that you’re giving them the responsibility to drive a car I think you should offset that a little bit I think when you go off and you’re like now I’m my own person I’m an adult you should bring into that adulthood the ability to drive a car so right by 17 I think 17 is a good age because I think 16 is good for the same reason because it that way you have even more time you have two years before 18 in there out the door here’s what 17 is better because when you’re 17 you’re that much closer to that point in your life we were beginning to think about things like college applications and potentially getting a job you’re thinking about life responsibilities at 16 it just seems like it’s so far off and just like whoa I got a car let’s go racket well my dad will take care of it but when you’re 17 you’re thinking listen I can’t get in trouble I gotta get stuff right so I can get to college 17 it’s the perfect a so are you gonna start lobbying Congress yeah it feels strongly about a congressman who watches this show I know you watch
