today we share our sheer genius let’s talk about that [Music] good mythical morning now I know you probably can’t tell by looking at my quaff but uh I cut my own hair Oh have four years and late used to be in the same haircutting boat I did you said I got your own hair what happened I don’t know I felt like when it got shorter on the sides there was more at stake and I I might I might go back to cut my own hair well hopefully you’re a little rusty because we’re gonna see just how well we can cut our own hair today well but not our own hair hair that’s gonna be on our hair yeah you’ll figure it out as we play di why are we cutting our own hair there are professionals for this okay here’s how this is gonna work there’s gonna be three rounds of us trying to perform increasingly difficult hairstyles or cuts on wigs that gonna be we were gonna be wearing it we’re gonna be guided through the process varying steps in YouTube tutorials by Lizzy you’re gonna walk us through the process we have not seen or prepped in any way when we’re done we’re gonna remove the thing that’s keeping us from seeing each other and then we’re gonna judge each other against what the hairstyle should have actually looked like Claire a winner amongst the two of us the winner gets to die Alex’s hair mythical for me for a second let’s do it round one okay link I don’t know what you look like cuz I can’t see you but if you look half as good as me right now I look like a Norse God we are in business buddy roll okay we’re gonna get me a rock rockin our laughter Brooke we’re gonna get things started a little bit easy we’re not even gonna cut this round this round is about more of a style but in this tutorial we’re gonna be having Lizzie lead us through this it’s supposed to take us two minutes to do this okay so this should be piece of cake okay Lizzie when you’re ready okay guys so the first one is gonna be a braid braid no cutting involved yet no cutting involved so step one you’re gonna part your hair in a deep side part and make sure it’s on the opposite side from where you want your braid to go what okay but I do deep side but deep side fire that’s nice I wish I had this much hair where’s my face this is a good wig it’s real Norse God hair it feels like it was just like ripped right off her Ukrainian woman it was that’s how it works right yes all right here we go all right so step two grab a section of hair along the top of your forehead and divide it into two equal sections a section of hair how big that’s your prerogative I can’t see cuz my hair gets in the way so much hair so little time it’s too okay I’ve got two okay step three take it okay take the front section and cross it over the back section what do you mean front and back you said make two groupings in the front the whole front section and cross it over the back section done okay this is easy okay step four add more hair into your quote unquote new front section and then cross that over the back section I think I thought you needed three groupings more hair from where is this the front section over here so much hair and then you come across okay I’m pretty sure this isn’t correct entre I’m trusting I trust I trust YouTube okay repeat steps 3 & 4 until you reach the nape of your neck what the back of my head so keep adding hair to your new front section and keep crossing it over the back section so keep doing that oh yeah I need another hand think you only need two sections too late for that and then you grab a little bit more of that twisting motion it could be like a freaking machine you just get you just want to get down there and you just do that so much hair I’m getting to the napes I wish something you said was helpful to me then you do this then you do that I look look at that look what I made there that little piece yeah I’m kind of giving up point okay take the two sections so take all of your hair into two sections now hmm okay now once you have all of your hair in the two sections you’re gonna twist both of them individually counterclockwise you mean like this twist them individually counterclockwise you can still do it rip I feel like I’m right on course I feel very pretty all right I’m counterclockwise in this so once you’ve done that you’re gonna twist the two sections together clockwise yeah done I see because I did I took care of all that already okay once you’ve done that secure with a hair tie yeah what you do feeling good all of a sudden I’m kidding some last-minute momentum I mean I like beautiful a little bit and when Lily was little I would like put her hair in ponytails but I never did a braid never could do a braid until today all right guys so I’m gonna show you what it’s supposed to look like okay I mean I got I got it going on my hair is in the same places it’s not configured exactly the same but I think mine actually looks a little bit better then what hers yeah let me be the judge of that okay let’s go ahead and look at each other guys okay what is this over here the extra that’s my thing man I can’t have a guess I started slow didn’t incorporate the Nate but but look at that look at that wham bam thank you ma’am right there that’s a weakness man Rhett you did like half of it right but then it ended up looking like it all fell apart mine came together at the end this is how I feel about this right now you did really good here but I feel like I could go out right now you know thinking I can go out and then be like look at her but when I look at her and then I look at me Mike hard to tell the difference are you guys know that congratulations I’ll see you Friday night Wow – all right Lizzie what is this all right guys so this round you’re gonna cut your own bangs oh yeah okay step one is section out a chunk of hair at the top of your forehead that you want to become your bangs go light on the amount you can always grab more later well that’s a good point that’s that’s wisdom speaking all right guys once you have that section the next step you’re gonna pin back the rest of your hair so isolate your bangs isolate the bangs pin back here we go she’s like a big alligator look at this big alligator I’ve always wanted to use these okay okay so comb the front section of your hair and then use your fingers to create a straight line around the bridge of your nose this is the bridge sure holding your hair between your fingers there we go start to cut diagonally upwards underneath your finger line in chunks yeah we go above the finger line that’s debt that’s still way too long how many steps are there is this are we going from am I going straight for bangs and my banging yet did I just take the lead what happened I just moved way out in front all right guys cut vertically into your bangs until they’re at the desired length okay right you’re just done yeah I mean I look amazing all right link I’m gonna give you the last step right you can participate if you standing by old sections of your bangs straight up above your forehead and cut down into the ends to create some finishing layers yeah you don’t want it to look like it just came from the salon you wanted to look like you’ve been working this for a couple of weeks and it’s really settling and I think I caught up with you I don’t know I went the long way round but something tells me we’re in a similar place I probably not alright that’s the last round guys you ready to see what it’s supposed to look like yes oh yeah thanks yeah but her bangs are being defeated by gravity that’s what she doesn’t understand your bangs have to make a statement your bangs have to say I reach I reach for the sky all right ready to see each other guys yeah take a look like a rocker you as well matter a little better though mine you really hold themselves up a little bit bangs are supposed to go down no they’re supposed to bang alright guys what do you think I mean personally just my personal opinion is that mine looks better but if we’re going with which one follow the the tutorial more I say we got to give it to you yeah thank you round 3 I get extra points for cutting myself in the last round No look at that you cut your finger of course you did tiebreaking round both looking as beautiful as ever but there can only be one beauty queen link alright guys so this last round is gonna be a little different I’m gonna give you the name of a hairstyle it’s a very in hairstyle right now and you’re gonna cut it without any instructions okay Oh based on name alone I want you to cut a lob a lob never heard of that it’s all the rage on Pinterest lob lob can you give me a celebrity who has a lob I will not well not well a lob sounds like a bob with an L yeah I definitely feel like if we’re going with this philosophy of the bob the bob has liked it like it has it it has a body to it smooth – bah bah bah bah mr. lava lava and guys you do have styling gels in front of you should you like to style it whoa look at that what you got well I got one half of a bob I’ll tell you that much I got the same thing I think we’re tracking there’s something so freeing about cutting hair that’s not yours like the way that we just so aggressively go after it isn’t you know you would never do that if they’re if your own hair was at stake I don’t have I got to start with a vision it’s like a sculpt I have a vision because I think it’s all about what the L stands for yeah here we go it’s not quite doing what I needed to do are you actually cutting trying to cut a L in your hair no no no I’m interpreting what the L hue means the gravity is really is really hurting me you got to defy gravity cuz that what’s happening it’s the LOB you ever heard of it what is that thing that you stick inside your hair that makes it oh I bump it I’ll bump it isn’t that what it’s called like what’s hooky has in her hair oh yeah oh goodness you are you already in style mode well I think I’ve got a great vision just got it it’s a form of forehead I was it stab it with an scissors oh yeah look at dad I’ll keep that rat tail having some trouble right okay I’m actually feeling pretty good again because I’ve got the what the L was and I still gotta be good again I feel like I’ve got the Bob Park all right just a few final touches well for me all right you guys ready to see what it’s supposed to look like yeah it was a bob with a little lift they just didn’t live it’s lazy it’s like a bob that’s growing out it’s a long bob a long bob Oh obviously okay I took a different direction but I’m still feel good all right it’s pretty me we have the same thing but mine has something that yours does sir my hasn’t bola bola I feel like this was gonna have to go to a judge vote again you mean because I I respect what you did I really do but I had respect what I did a little bit more I feel like I’m closer to a lot it’s coming down to me Lizzie do you agree with that here’s the thing it’s a long bob and rets is a little longer so I
