GMMore 1837: Crazy Waffle House Crimes (Game)

Welcome to Good Mythical More. Let’s hear some crazy Waffle House versus IHOP stories. – But first, let’s check that old voicemail inbox. – Yeah. – [Voice] Guys, think about this. When an alarm goes off. – Yeah. – [Voice] It’s actually turning on. (all laugh) – Oh man, that’s mind blowing. – And then what? Then what do we think about? Give us more things to think about. Call us back. – One thing at a time, man. That’s enough to keep you up for a while. – All right. We’re gonna be thinking about Waffle House versus I say versus but just a story of something crazy that happened. – Did you see the recent fight at Waffle House? – We’ve got to figure out, was it Waffle House or IPOP? – IPOP. – I don’t watch those things. – This one, I saw it on the Twitter It got really serious and somebody I mean, there was like hair pulling there was some boobaloobaloobies that popped out during the fight. – Oh yeah? – And what I have found and then I kinda got into a watching fights sort of rabbit hole on YouTube. And boobaloobaloobies pop out a lot of times during fights. – Yeah, it’s a distraction technique. – You’ve gotta have a sports bra on before you get into a fight if you don’t want it to pop out. It’s amazing how easily they can pop out if you get into a fight. – And then you, depending on what you’re wearing I mean, I’m only speaking from experience. And then if you’re distracted by trying to put them back away, you can’t do that. Once they’re out, they’re out. – As soon as you look down at your boobaloobaloobies and you try to cover it back up boom, somebody pops you right in the face. – You gotta, you know. – In fact you want to leave them out and let them swing because that’s a distraction. – For them! – And then somebody gets locked on boom, boom, boom, right in their face. And somebody had commented right under this fight on Twitter and they said one of the questions on the Waffle House employee application should be, can you fight? – Oh, it was an employee? – Well, the employee, they were so mad at the person ringing the thing up. And then both cooks got into it with two different parties. Like two people who weren’t together were fighting both cooks. And I was like, yeah, okay. I wish I could go back to Waffle House, man. – That’s the thing about Waffle House. You walk into that place and you can tell that they have, the employees have a community of their own. And if something goes down in there they’re protecting their turf, you know? It’s like you’re– – They’re on team Waffle House. – You’re visiting their ecosystem. They’re there all hours of the night. – They know all the corners– – Regulars. – And intricacies of the layout. – If you’re not a regular at a certain Waffle House you have to assume that you’re an interloper. And the last thing you need to do is get in a fight because they probably know the person and their boobies and you’re going to and you’re going to be on the outs. – [Stevie] Hey guys. – They know hot parts of the grill. – IHOP, they hide in the back. – It’s totally different. – IHOP is so impersonal. – Yeah. – You get in a fight and they don’t even know what’s going on, they hear some stuff and they’re like, we just won’t go out there. – [Stevie] We’ve had some good times at Waffle House. – Yeah we have. – [Stevie] Do you remember the last time we were at Waffle House? – Are you talking about when we went to Waffle House in Florida? – [Stevie] Yeah, that was it. That was a good time. – Miami? – [Stevie] But then the last time we went to Waffle House in Dunn, yeah. – I wasn’t there for that. – [Stevie] What? You weren’t? – I think I was visiting my mom. – The employees were fans. – [Stevie] Yeah all the employees were fans. – Oh no I was there for that, the one in Lillington. It wasn’t in Dunn. – [Stevie] That was in Dunn. – Are you sure? – There isn’t a Waffle House in Lillington. – Yeah there is. – [Stevie] Well, it was right next to the huge Walmart. – Oh that’s Dunn. – Oh yeah, there’s a Waffle House now. But that’s not the one we were at. – Then I wasn’t there. Yes, I was. – You were there, you were there man. I remember when we went to Cook Out. – [Stevie] Yeah, oh yeah, good times. – Had to wait a long time for some reason – [Stevie] In 2007 Kid Rock was sued for $40,000 for getting into a fight and an Atlanta breakfast establishment. Was this Waffle House or IHOP? – What do you think? – $40,000, that’s kind of a low for a Kid Rock fight. – You don’t get in fights at IHOP. I mean you just, how could you? It’s like you’re in a maze, you can’t see anything. – It’s like a maze. – I mean, it’s not as close to the floor plan but. – You think it’s IHOP. You think it’s Waffle House. – I think it’s Waffle House. ‘Cause of the conversation we just had. – I actually think it’s IHOP. – [Stevie] It’s Waffle House. – Gotta be. – No I was saying that the employees don’t get involved at IHOP, but there’s still plenty of fights at IHOP. – Not as many. – Plenty though. – When you can see lots of people while eating it’s like two dogs that happened to look at each other the wrong way sometimes. You know what I’m saying? Like dogs just look at each other like oh, I should be mad, I should be mad. That happens at Waffle House. At IHOP you’re kind of just. – ‘Cause there’s visibility. – You can see everybody. Especially when they used to have the smoking section. They got rid of the smoking section and half of the fun left the Waffle House. – I’m glad though. – It’s easier to eat there now. – There’s not really a smoking section in a Waffle House. – Not just make a generalization about people who smoke. But the people in the smoking section at Waffle House they were a lot more likely to hurt you. – [Stevie] Clown makeup-covered Shaggy Two Dope and Violent J of the rap duo Insane Clown Posse started a brawl in this Indiana breakfast spot after a show and ended up paying $325 in fines. – $325? – [Stevie] Yeah. – I think Indiana, that’s IHOP. – I think I’m going with IHOP on this just because Insane Clown Posse’s penchant for trouble is not limited to places that are just waiting for it. So I think they can bring their trouble anywhere including IHOP, a very peaceful place. – [Stevie] It’s Waffle House. – Oh dang. – [Stevie] Oh you know what? You guys need to do some interesting poses for wallpaper. – That’s right. In the main episode you guys earned, it’s backdrops. I mean, you gotta take the screenshot yourself but Morgan put up the border. – We’ve got a barrier here. We know what your phone screen looks like. So you want to, do you want to just do one? – That’s just the line is right here. – Classic back to back just to start. Just to give them something simple. – How’s your face? – Like yours. Okay. Did we both look at the same time? – Yeah, I believe so. – [Stevie] That was great. – All right, now we do front to front, no. All right, now we do. – Totem? Totem pole? I’m crazy, look. – Should I? I shouldn’t grab the shoulders, huh? – No, you should create antlers out of hands, for me. – All right, let me focus up here. Move that way. Did you get it? – Okay, all right. We’ll get more, we’ll get more. – Let’s do flight. – Don’t waste all the good ideas. – I’m not coming back to this. Once I sit down, I ain’t standing up again. – All right, flight, flight, flight. – Back, maybe a back to back flight. Kinda like we’re coming out of the. Got to get that other arm in, get that other arm in. Move it down, come on, move it. Come on. – I can’t get the arm. There we go. – Hold on, three, two. We’re coming out of your phone, see, pretty good. Boy that was like yoga. – Man, I haven’t been doing my squats lately. – All right, let’s hear another one. – [Stevie] In 2015, a 50 foot wide and 600 foot long sinkhole opened up and swallowed 15 cars in the parking lot of this Mississippi establishment? – 15 cars? – [Stevie] 15 cars, 2015. – Mississippi? – [Stevie] Mississippi. – I think it’s Waffle House because Waffle Houses are smaller which in general makes the likelihood that their parking lots are bigger greater. So swalling up 15 cars. That’s a decent sized parking lot for a IHOP. – I’m going to say waffle house because I think that the answer to every one of these is Waffle House. – [Stevie] IHOP. – Oh gosh, okay. – [Stevie] When was the last time you went to IHOP? – Last year. – Lando. Lando insisted. He was like, I want to go to the IHOP. I was like, oh I’ll take you once. – [Stevie] Like, because of commercials he saw or something? – We drove past it. You know, they’ve got the high A-frame roof and it kinda seems like something from like a fairy tale and there’s pancakes inside. And let me tell you they have all types of pancakes. – All kinds of pancakes. – I mean, it’s a house. – We should try every one. – Full of pancakes. It’s almost as if it were international. – And listen, the pancakes are good. – The pancakes are good. – The pancakes are really good. The pancakes are good. The vibe of the Waffle House is really what’s won our hearts. – Oh yeah you’re saying the vibe of the IHOP. – [Stevie] Well no, I will also say the food of Waffle House because you get those hash browns. You can get them any way that you want and also– – Scattered, smothered, covered, diced. – [Stevie] Yeah. – IHOP doesn’t have anything that comes close to it. It really is the freshness of the grill or something about just how it’s just right there. And it’s just bam diggity dog right there. I mean, I’m sure you’ve been to a Waffle House. – They don’t close. – Oh yeah. – But you grew up in a region where there was no Waffle House, right? – [Voice] True, I had to go to Aurora, Colorado to go to Waffle House. – Colorado? – [Voice] The only time I’ve ever been to one. The server actually came by with the waffles that were like very visibly burnt. And she goes, the waffles are burnt, is that okay? (all laugh) I was just like, yeah, I’m not eating it but okay. – I’ve only had a waffle at the Waffle House once. And I probably been a hundred times. They had the patty melt. – They have a lot of fun stuff. – Get your steak and eggs. – The menus are fun. – Pork chop and eggs. – ‘Cause it’s just, it’s a front and a back and you eat on it. IHOP, there’s so many pages. Let me make a promo here. Can I make a promo? – Yeah, yeah, yeah, I’ll do a pose while you’re doing it. – Mythical Society. If you’re thinking about joining the Mythical Society. – Get into the square so they can make a screenshot of this. Now just kind of get a little bit low and I’ll frame you inside the phone. – You can get closer, get closer. You’re in the dark. Get closer, bend over more, get closer. I’ll move back. Here we go. Three, two, one. Okay. If you’re thinking about joining the Mythical Society today is the last day if you’re not a member to purchase second degree, third degree, monthly or quarterly plans at a steep discount. – Steep. – Very, very proud of what we’re doing over there and you might get annoyed with us promoting it if you’re not a member because you have to pay to experience that stuff. But it’s stuff worth paying for. – Yeah. – And stuff that wouldn’t exist if the people who deemed it worth paying for didn’t pay for it. – Yeah. – So it’s a win, win, or a lose lose. If you’re not a member. – Depends on who you are. – [Stevie] Can you do a wallpaper where your chins are on the desk? Because I have this problem where my first page of my app, my phone, you know, the apps are up high and then, and then down low there’s space. – So you’re going to use this as your phone background is what I hear you saying. – [Stevie] Yeah, you better believe it. I can’t get enough. – Try to get your shoulders out of it, so it’s just head. – [Stevie] Yeah, exactly, yeah. – Oh, this is a good idea. – No, I’ve got to get into the frame. – So put your butt further in. I’m gonna move your butt towards me. That’s your problem, you’re not really. – I’m all the way in. – [Stevie] See this is good. Then all the app icons just live above you. – And then a happy one. Good idea. – [Stevie] No, but you know what I didn’t account for? I didn’t account for that bottom the bottom bar of the apps. – Well, you know what? People can figure that out. – Oh, you mean we need to get our head higher. – [Stevie] Yeah, we need like, yeah. Yes, yes, yes. Cause then you’re right in between the app icons and the bottom bar app. Yeah, I think that’ll, I think that’ll do it. – I don’t know why I can’t figure out how to put my face. – Put your head a little lower and then, how’s that? – [Stevie] Yeah, that’s good, that’s creepy. – Apps, click on your apps. – Let’s look up at the apps. – Apps. – Okay. – Wow, you guys got more than you bargained for. – Let’s hear one more. – [Stevie] This breakfast chain got into some hot water over a Tweet on mother’s day involving an ultrasound image of pancakes inside a woman’s womb. The caption said, if you have pancakes in your tum tum, does that make you a pancake mom mom? Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. – They don’t even do, do they pancakes at Waffle House? – [Stevie] Yeah. – You can get pancakes at Waffle House? – I didn’t think so. – I’ve never done it. But this is IHOP Cause I don’t think Waffle House is really who’s got the better Twitter account? Let’s bring them both up and see. But I think this is IHOP. – [Stevie] Yeah it’s IHOP. I don’t know if you can get pancakes at Waffle House. – Let’s just give them a background that we’re not in. – Put yourself in there, put yourself in there. – Screenshot it. – We could also do one with our hands in it. Like dogs like this, like when you do the dog. – I’ll do one of these. – [Stevie] Oh wait, I have a really good one though. About an owl. – Owl? Okay, let’s hear it, owl. – I mean they Tweeted make waffles, not pancakes. September 23rd, 2020. They use the sprinkler application to manage their Twitter account. – Is that right? – Waffle House only has 94,700 followers? No, 109,900 followers. See about IHOP. IHOP has 366.8. – Hold on, they’re not following anybody. Is Waffle House falling anybody? – Yeah, they’re following 5,000 people. Come on IHOP, stingy with your follows. – They’ve got a lot more people. They’re being followed by a lot more people. They’ve done more campaigns. They did the whole IHOP where they tried to trick people into thinking it was a burger back in 2018, I think. All right, let’s hear that owl story. – [Stevie] Police rescued an injured owl at this restaurant in Georgia and named him Steve. Steve was sent to the Chattahoochee Nature Center where he recovered. – They sent him way down to Chattahoochee. – IHOP because of the roof. – Yeah ’cause it’s that A-frame man, it’s an owl zone. – Before you reveal this, can I just quickly say. The other night when I was on one of my neighborhood walks and I don’t often hear the ooh-hoo-hoo of an owl. but I heard the ooh-hoo-hoo of an owl. And then I heard the ooh-hoo-hoo of an owl receiving the call and giving it back. And then a third owl ooh-hoo-hoo. The owls were triangulating and I turned to my wife and I said they owls are up to something. – We gotta get outta here. – [Stevie] Cassie would be so jealous to hear that because she has been looking for owls every night. – No, it’s crazy. – I can’t, I’ve never seen the owls. – I’ve been in this neighborhood. – You’re right. – For six years, I’ve never heard an owl. And I heard three in one night. Like the three owls. – That happens, that happens. Cause I was like, I’m hearing owls. I’ve never heard owls before. – Yeah. – Sometimes they go into hiding or something ’cause sometimes they come out and they’re owling it up. – [Stevie] I got Cassie bird calls but she’s too nervous to. She’s too, you know, she has bird call stage fright but I did make sure to get her an owl so that she could communicate. – She’s got an owl call? – [Stevie] Yeah. – She needs to be doing it every night. – [Stevie] That’s what I’m saying. – That’s not an owl, that’s something else. – That’s a dove. – It’s a dove? – [Stevie] You’re saying IHOP? – So dove’s do that. – IHOP. – Oooh ooh ooh sound. – [Stevie] Waffle House. – Oh wait it’s Waffle House? – [Stevie] Yep. – An owl? All right y’all. – I don’t even believe it. – All right. – Now let’s give them an IHOP wallpaper. Just so they can have that with a little Waffle House added. – And then let’s give him the double Waffle House for people who are Waffle House fans. There you go, look what you’ve got. You got all kinds of things. – [Link] Today is the last day to join the Mythical Society at a huge discount.
