(rooster crowing) (lion roaring) (dramatic music) – Welcome to Good Mythical More. Let’s hang out and make some jewelry outta sea stuff. Yeah? Yeah. – But first, let’s give $1,000 to the Los Angeles LGBT Center which provides services for more LGBT people than any other organization in the world and you can join us, Team Mythical, as part of the big five K to help raise money for the L.A. LGBT Center. So go over to lalgbtcenter.org/mythical to be a part of the team. – (applauds) Thank you for being your mythical best, and for being with us, oh my gosh, look at this stuff you can make into jewelry. We’ve got, there’s some shells in there. – [Rhett] There’s some shells? – So we’re going with the sea theme. There’s lots of big stuff here. You know, uh– – I always thought that this was like the jaw of a little shark. I never understood what that was, but now I see that it’s just a seashell. – A jaw of a little shark, yep, that’s what I thought too– – I never thought about it when I just saw it in the stores. I was like oh, it’s like the side of a shark mouth, a really tiny one like the baby sharks. And that’s where a baby shark comes from. Oh, look at that, I can make some earrings outta that. – Oh, (laughs) just by putting a hook on it? Now, I wanna– – Do you think my wife would wear earrings like that? – I wanna use, uh, you know what? Sure, I don’t know. – [Stevie] I had to Google it to make sure, but that was a puka shell. Like, you know, puka shell necklaces were really– – I never did that. – Yeah, we missed that boat. – [Stevie] Oh. – This is a puka shell, huh? – [Stevie] I unfortunately did not. – (laughs) I did not miss that boat. – [Stevie] I also didn’t miss the choker phase, that came back recently? And then went away again? You know what I’m talking about? – Here’s a cutter. – Um, I haven’t been following the jewelry trend. – [Stevie] Like those like, you know, when you see, it’s like in the, it’s like, in the middle of your neck and it’s like tight and it looks like black lace situation. – Yeah well one of my children has one just to answer, you know. I’m not gonna say who it is, but one of ’em has one. – So you can make a necklace using this– – [Stevie] I don’t know what to make out of it. (laughs) (people laughing) – Um– – I don’t know, I don’t wanna make jewelry. How about that? (Link laughs) (Rhett laughing) – I’m not big into, yeah, (stuttering) talk about a fish outta water. – Yeah, I mean. (Link chuckles) – We are not– – I mean, I’ll buy jewelry for my wife. – My dad’s wife, I guess my stepmom– – That’s your stepmom man. – Uh, but you know, it’s like they got married after– – You rarely know how to describe the people you’re kind of related to. – Yeah, all this stuff happens by marriage. After I’ve been married, anything that happens with other people in marriage is just like, okay, I love you, but I don’t know what to call you. I call her Nancy. – Oh yeah, we’ll that’s appropriate. – The kids call her Nana. – Okay. – And they call dad, grand daddy. Grand daddy and Nana– – When she leaves– – What do you mean when she leaves? – Do they say– – When she leaves him? – Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye? – Oh. – Because that’s what they should say every time she leaves. And when she leaves him, which might happen, you don’t know if it’s gonna happen. Then you need to call her and say that. – Mm, that’s sad. – I mean, I made a joke, but then you were like– – I made you uncomfortable. – You didn’t make me uncomfortable, yeah, you made me uncomfortable for, well, they’re not watching, it’s fine. Anyway, what I was trying to say was my Nana, my kid’s Nana, which is my dad’s wife, she, I mean, like you got these bins that have like stuff to make jewelry in ’em, she’s got like a room full of this stuff. Like she’ll just like make jewelry. She’ll make jewelry for fun, she’ll make jewelry for professional reasons, she’ll sell it to people or she’ll give it to people. When we go visit, like the kids will start making jewelry and I don’t get it. – And then– – I just don’t get it. – And then when you leave– – I guess if you make it and then you wear it, there’s something to it. It’s kind of like, washing a car and then driving it versus just paying somebody to wash your car? – Yes. – Why did I think that Lily went through a jewelry making or was it like a friendship making phase or one of those like– – You can do that with jewelry. – [Stevie] Plastic lanyard making phases? I thought she went through– – Yeah, she went through a plastic lanyard phase. But you know, who hasn’t? – Not that I recall. – [Stevie] And Lando does not like making, he like draws the line at jewelry making? – No, they’ll all make jewelry with Nana, but we don’t have a lot of jewelry making stuff. Lando is the one now who’ll make jewelry, yeah. – Do you know what I say when Nana asks me to make jewelry with her? Na na. – Okay, so I’ve got– – I’ll teach that to your kids. (laughs) – I can see how it would be relaxing. Like I’m relaxed. – I’m nervous and I feel like I’m gonna screw it up. – I’m threading fishing line materials through– – I feel like I gotta make the right choices. – Through holes. You know, there’s little holes in this stuff and you’re making these choices. I get that. – I mean, there’s choices involved, that’s for sure. – I guess I’d rather do this than solve, like a jigsaw puzzle. – A jigsaw puzzle? – A jigsaw puzzle. – What does that mean? – Like, you know, it’s very meticulous and could be relaxing, but, to some people. Let’s see, what am I gonna do– – What, no, I’m asking specifically, what’s the difference between a puzzle and a jigsaw puzzle? – Oh, I guess a jigsaw puzzle is a type of puzzle that’s been made with a jigsaw. (Rhett chuckles) You know, you can, makes you wanna jig. Oh, look at that, I can put that through there. I don’t know, Rhett, I don’t know. You know what, if I knew everything, why would I need you to bull crap your way through all of our conversations? – When I try to buy jewelry for my wife– – Jury. Jury. – I go in, like if I go to like a place that sells jewelry, let’s just say a website, okay? And I look at all the jewelry, I’m just like, whatever I need in order to understand the distinctions between the items, that she will somehow sense– – Yeah, right. – It’s just like looking at a series of like inkblots. I mean, I, I’m not saying I can’t tell if something’s pretty or not, but I’m like, I don’t, I like that color, I don’t know what I’m supposed to be looking. I feel very intimidated. – [Stevie] It seem so challenging to me. I don’t understand it. I don’t know how to read that language. I feel for you. – Yeah, it’s– – I’ve never worn jewelry. Like, I’ve got a wedding band and I did try my hand at a necklace my sophomore year in college. – Oh, sophomore year in college? – It was like little spheres, like metal balls. They were all the same– – Oh, a ball necklace. – Morgan, you’re nodding your head, you have one of those? We’re talking like late 90’s kind of a situation. You got yourself like a ball necklace. It kinda hung right in this area, but it wasn’t gold and it wasn’t– – What did I do wrong? Oh, it needs to be symmetrical. – Yeah, that’s the– – Well no, I think you can go on like this. My junior year in high school, I did a gold chain with a little basketball hoop on it. – Was that your idea or was it just a gift and you felt obligated to wear it? – No, at some point, I was like, “I need a gold chain with a basketball hoop on it “with a basketball going through the hoop “in a swish pattern.” So I did that– – That’s what you got, huh? – And I wore it and one time– – That was a basketball player thing to wear a gold chain, right? – And one time, and this is one of my prouder moments, with a chain, I was playing in a basketball game– – For every proud moment you share with a chain, you have to share an embarrassing moment with a chain. – Well pretty much every other moment with this chain was embarrassing, especially as I reflect back on it, but I go into the game, well I mean, let’s face it, I started in the game. (chuckles) You know, I wasn’t coming off the bench. (chuckles) So, you know, halfway through the first quarter, the referee’s like, beep, that was his whistle, and he’s like, “Ah ah ah ah– – His whistle was a censorship beep? – “Three oh, three oh,” that’s me, 30, “you gotta take off your chain.” – Oh snap. – Wore the chain to the game, in the game. – You didn’t know you couldn’t do that or you were in defiance? – I forgot that I had it on. – The thing about– – But you know what? It’s one of the better reasons to be taken out of a basketball game, so you can go to the bench, take your chain off and then immediately go back and check back in. – Did you like, while everyone was waiting, did you like walk over to your– – I took it off– – girlfriend and like– – No no, I took it off slowly and maybe– – Put it on the coaches neck. – I put it up so people could see that it was a basketball hoop with a ball going through it ’cause I was like, “This is what I’m about to do to y’all.” – And then whose neck did you drape it on? I mean, it has to be kept somewhere. – I set it in my bag or something. – You just like whip it to the crowd. – Yeah, right. – Anyone who wanted it? I remember that game where Linwood Campbell dunked man. I don’t remember anything you did, but I remember that game when Linwood Campbell– – You don’t remember the game that I dunked? – No. – You did not, breakaway? You would think that I dunked a lot, I actually didn’t. But I had one breakaway, I pretty much just stook out there and shot the ball from long distances. It was kinda embarrassing, but I had a chain on so it was very difficult to– – Drive the paint? – Jump high. I was like, “I don’t wanna mess my necklace up.” – [Stevie] What about hats, you ever have any hats? – Never wore one in a game, but you know what? You can wear this one. Look at this, Feel Good Mythical Morning– – Check out this one. – Is now a hat. I can’t put it one because sorry, the man-bun doesn’t allow me to put it on– – We also got a Mythical Kitchen hat. If you’re a fan of the design that’s on the Mythical Kitchen apron, well you’ll love this hat. Look at that, it’s on my head right now. Trucker hat. If you like a trucker hat that’s not too big and not too trucker, this one’s perfect for you. – And this is what they call a six-panel. – Mythical.com. – Sort of a dad hat. – [Stevie] It’s a dad hat, yeah. – Sort of a dad hat. My face shape, it’s not complementary to this, but maybe yours is. (laughs) – Stevie Good, that’s a real selling point. – Hey, more people wear these than any other kind these days. You can wear this at a basketball game. The ref will tell you to take it off though. – [Stevie] I saw Shep rocking a gold chain. – Yeah well, my in-laws– – I’m starting to like making a necklace– – My in-laws got, first of all, just progress on this. That’s pretty cool. – Yeah, that’s good. That’s a bracelet, I assume. – I hope so. – Anklet perhaps? – My in-laws got my boys gold chains and I was like, “Okay, all right, I mean, okay.” – They ask for ’em though, right? It is a thing. – Chains are a thing. – [Stevie] He didn’t wanna talk about it, though. – But he wore it. Did he wear it on the livestream? – [Stevie] He wore it to our testing before the livestream and then I complimented him on it and he recoiled. – Yeah, he’s, well, I make fun of ’em both when they had the chain on. Just feel it’s my duty, as a dad, to do that. But it hasn’t stopped him wearing it so they’re learning something. – They know your chain history. They know that you’re in no position to make fun of them. – Yeah. Sometimes they come downstairs and they’ve got something on and I just say, “You know, “I made a lot of bad decisions as a boy as well.” – Lincoln had on a shirt that was a Sublime t-shirt and I was like, “Oh, you got a Sublime t-shirt on. “You know, I used to listen to them a lot.” And he was like, “Oh, I just thought that was a logo.” – Yeah, well- – I was like, “Son, I need to play some Sublime for you.” I was like, “If you’re gonna wear the shirt, “I feel like you gotta know about it.” I’ve made that mistake before ’cause then people ask you about your shirt or they’ll just start talking to you about something. – How do you– – How do I what? – What do you do about this part, is there like a clasp? – Oh, here’s an instruction manual. Just go to the last step. You’re talking about shutting it down? – Well I gotta make a clasp. – ‘Cause I think, I think this is– – I didn’t use– – Oh no, no! (shells clattering) (Rhett muttering) No! Just worked on it (muttering) – I’m sorry Link, that’s really frustrating, isn’t it? – There’s still one on there. – Really really frustrating. (distant laughing) Hey, that’s a cool necklace. – You know how sometimes you just wanna cry and then after you do, you feel better? But you can’t cry until you do something that just like breaks the dam. Well, that was it and I’m about to run to the br, restroom. – To the breastroom? (laughs) – Stop making fun of me! (distant laughing) Here’s my necklace– – I’m not the one going to the breastroom. – Bathroom, restroom, I couldn’t make up my mind. Look it. There it is, there’s my necklace. – I’m gonna need to get somebody else to tie that. You know what, it’ll be one of those things, like one of those pizzas you buy that you take home and bake, it’ll be like, this is a necklace I made for you, but you gotta finish it. (laughs) – [Announcer] Put some mythicality on top of your melon with our mythical head-wear available at mythical.com.
