GMMore 1978: Are These Foods Actually Different?

(rooster crowing) (lion roaring) (dramatic whooshing) – Welcome to Good Mythical More. I gotta slurp up whatever’s on this plate and we’re gonna play Samesies versus Differentsies. – Yeah. But first, we’re gonna play Daddy Like, Daddy Don’t Like. Daddy like puppies. – Daddy don’t like carpet burn. – Daddy like corn. Daddy don’t like burnt corn. Daddy like basketball. Daddy don’t like getting his- (laughing) – Getting his what? You lost, man. (Link stammering) – Foot caught in a hole. I’ll help you. – I was thinking of pluck. – Daddy don’t like his foot plucked. Daddy don’t like getting his foot plucked. – (laughing) What did I get so hung up on? I was like, daddy’s not gonna like something getting plucked, but I’m starting with an F. So what’s something that starts with an F that can get plucked? – Foot? – Exactly and that’s why I sat there. (Rhett laughing) – I was like- (stammering) – It can’t be foot. – The brain is not fully engaged today, which is good news for you because- – That’s right, it’s more entertaining. – So as my punishment, I feel like I shouldn’t be punished because I threw the game to make Rhett feel better about this symmetrical score. – Yeah, that’s true. – This is called a puzzle puddle. – A puzzle puddle. If we don’t know what’s in it, you have to lick it and tell us. That sounded just a tongue set. It wasn’t as much of a lick as I was expecting. (Link coughing) What do we got? What do we got? – Orange and fishy. – Orange and fishy? – It’s like Tang and it’s like- – Tang? – It’s like goldfish Tang. – Goldfish Tang. is that the official answer? – [Stevie] I don’t have the official answer. – We’re going with goldfish Tang. – I’m not taking another lick. – [Stevie] Well, I’m pretty sure that- – It’s nasty. – Citrus and fish sounds like something that we would put in there, so. – Fish-trus. – [Stevie] You win the mystery puddle. – I got caught with my fish-tress. – [Stevie] Oh, here. Okay. It’s fish sauce, heavy cream. – In case you’re wondering, that’s not my wife. That’s a fish that I make love to. – That’s when you take one of those carps. (Rhett laughing) – [Stevie] Heavy cream, grape soda. Oh, there is no citrus. – This my fish-tress. – [Stevie] Oh, wait, yeah. Sprinkles of emergency. – He put in a tank. – Emergency. – You wanna spend some time with her? – [Stevie] You know those women’s shirts that are like, I don’t know what they’re called. – Like this, yeah. – [Stevie] Yeah. But it’s like, a little peek cleavage. Like a little peek-a-boo hole. – Yeah, doesn’t quite have the same effect from us. – [Stevie] Peak-a-cleave. – Yeah, right. – Look at how I can move it around and emphasize different. It’s like you’re a human, so you want to try to find eyes. – Oh, there’s an eye. – There’s an eye. (Rhett laughing) You’re winking at me. – Oh, gosh. It’s heinous. – Now, if I could only get my other nipple over there. – Like a flounder. Flounder got nipples on one side. (laughing) I don’t know why I’m thinking about fish. – You don’t wanna get close to my breath because it’s my breath. My breath smells like fish, man. – [Stevie] Hey, you guys wanna play a game? That’s not find the nipple in the hole in your shirt? – Yeah, yeah, yeah. – My nipple’s way over there. – Give us something and we’ll tell you if it’s samsies or differentsies. – [Stevie] Yeah. Jam and jelly. – Okay. You’re gonna give us a three, two, one on this? – [Stevie] Okay. I said a three, two, one. – That is different. – We are the most famous tasters on the internet. Come at me. – [Stevie] It is different. Can you tell me why? – I thought that jam had fruit in it. Actual pieces of fruit. I don’t know if that’s right. – It’s something about sugar. Sugar added. – That’s what I would have told you. – Sugar added. – [Stevie] Jam consists of chopped or pureed fruit cooked in sugar and jelly is cooked fruit that’s been strained so it only includes the juice. – So we had a visual aid here. I always thought I preferred jam. – And who wouldn’t? It’s got actual fruit in it. – And it’s one consistency. You’re thinking of a preserve. – But she just said that jam did have pieces of fruit in it. – [Stevie] Yeah, jam is chopped or pureed fruit. – Jelly is a lot sweeter, I think. But jam is a lot- – But you’re right, preserves is like, you might find a whole strawberry in there. I probably won’t taste it now. (crew laughing) I’ll probably won’t taste it. – I’m just trying to get rid of that puddle taste out of my mouth. – Okay, assuming that we’re not going to play that particular game again, can I tell you what ended up being what I’m gonna call my cheat code on that game? Are you interested in it? – Oh, yeah. – The key to solving or making an informed guess about a Rube Goldberg machine is not to start at the beginning and try to anticipate what all is gonna happen. You start at a door and you work backwards to the last step before that door. So I would go to the doors and look at the last step that had to happen before that door. And if it made sense, I guessed it. If I was like, oh, I could see something happening closer to that door. So like this one, for instance, I was like, the only thing that can happen on this one is that little hammer is gonna fall and what else can happen after that hammer falls? Nothing. It’s just gonna turn that kettle on and that’s the end of it. You know what I’m saying? – You wanna know what I was thinking when I looked at this? Nothing. (Rhett laughing) I mean, I was like, this is a lot to look at. – You know that something’s gonna happen with the food processor that’s going to lead somewhere else because why? Now, the toaster was a complete mystery to me. I was like, I have no idea. I just think the toaster is just there for kicks. Didn’t know that it was gonna go across the bread and that was pretty exciting. – That was pretty cool. Let’s do another one of these. Samesies, differentsies. – [Stevie] Fireflies and lightning bugs. – Okay. – [Stevie] Three, two, one. – That’s just the same thing, different terms. – Called synonyms, Rhett. – [Stevie] Yeah, you’re right. It’s the same thing. – Did you ever trap? Did you ever make a lantern? In the south- – Sure, sure. Definitely, man. – Only at my Nana and Papa’s house. – I only did it in my aunt Helen’s house. – I think it’s because of the environment. There were no fireflies at my house. It’s something about the trees. Were there trees at your aunt Helen’s? – Oh, you know, it wasn’t aunt Helen. It was aunt Olive. I had an aunt Olive. Ever tell you about her? – No. – She’s dead. She’s been dead a very long time, probably like the 80s, but yeah. Uncle JD and aunt Olive, they had a bunch of lightning bugs and you’d make the lantern and then you’d go to bed. Did you go to bed with a lantern on and then wake up with all the bugs dead? Or did you let them out? – [Stevie] Yes. – I let them out because I didn’t wanna wake up. – There’s nothing like waking up to a big jar of dead bugs, though. (crew laughing) It’s just the cycle of life, you know? There they are at the bottom of the jar. – They did their thing. – [Stevie] That was the name of my first soccer team. Dead bugs. No, fireflies. – Fireflies. – Fireflies. – [Stevie] Our uniforms had glow in the dark bugs. – Did you ever play at night? – I don’t think so. I think I was like, seven. – That was just for the sleepovers. – Kind of a missed opportunity there. You only play at night and you can only see us. I mean, a lightening bug is just an amazing feat. – Yeah, it is. Yeah. – All right, hit me. – Inflammable and non-flammable. – (laughing) Okay. – Inflammable? – [Stevie] Three, two, one. – I think those are the exact opposite. – I think that they’re very close, but I think they’re technical terms that the government says mean different things. – If something is inflamed, then it is agitated. – It’s inflammable. That means it can’t catch on fire. – Oh, inflammable? – [Stevie] Non-flammable means not easily flammable and inflammable means the opposite. It’s easily set on fire. – Okay. – What? – Are you saying I-N inflammable or I-M flammable? – [Stevie] I-N. – Inflammable means that it can become inflamed. – [Stevie] Yeah. – When you say something is inflamed, how do you spell that? – I-N-M? – But if it was inflammable, it wouldn’t be a word. – I’ve been thinking wrong. I was right about that, but I’ve been thinking wrong about the way that that was. I would just say I’ve got some imflammation. – No, inflammation. – I’ve never written a note. – Meaning that it’s inflamed. – I’ve never written a note that said I’ve got inflammation. You know what I’m saying? That’s how I think about things. – Imflammation? – Because I’ve been watching the leftovers and they write everything on the notes and I’ve been thinking like, man, those note pads don’t have spell check. I’d be a moron. Hey, I’ve got some inflammation. – You’re saying imflammation. – Imflammation. No N’s. – Yeah. – That’s how I would’ve spelled it. – Hinges on that. – I get kicked out of the cult. – Can we watch- Leftovers right now? Yeah. – Paisley’s Rube Goldberg machine? I wanna analyze that because we gave it short shrift in the episode because all we cared about was our score, but I wanna see this thing. So he burns the rope and then he- – He burned it with the Gwyneth Paltrow goop candle, by the way. Is that a Wade Boggs card? – [Link] In a magic eight ball. – [Rhett] We have the thing of beans. We’ve got two Sprites. – The beans dung a bell and then the two Sprites rotate over and then point at a bass, which then lowers a golden microphones. – Now, go back to the top. No, okay. – Now play it in slow motion. (crew laughing) That’s how slow my brain is going. – Would you like to know how I guessed number three? The only thing that has a trigger mechanism is the third gun. It has a rod going through the trigger. That was the first thing I found. I was like, okay, well that’s the only one that can actually shoot. – [Link] But that number one. You seriously looked at the number one? – [Rhett] And I was like, it doesn’t have something going through the trigger. It’s gonna get knocked over by that spray can. – I’ll be dang. I was just amazed by the number of components. – How many times did he have to do this before it worked properly? – [Crew Member] One. – Once? – Once? There it goes. See, it falls over. It does trigger. – [Rhett] That’s tricky. – [Link] The microphone triggers the mechanism. – And then they got a close up. You know what? Joseph, if you stuck around for this, put in a close-up like that. On a fish-tress. – That was pretty great. That was pretty great work, Paisley. All right, before we get another one, we sell stuff through Amazon and you can get Prime shipping. Sometimes just getting stuff by Prime. I buy stuff just because it’s on Prime. It just makes me feel like I’m doing something efficient. You can do that with our stuff. Amazon.com/mythical. We got all kinds of logo tees, exclusive designs you can’t get in any other store, not even mythical.com. – Not even that. – So we’re in competition with ourselves. amazon.com/mythical and mythical.com/nothing. – [Stevie] I have never in my life pronounced. Well, green beans and haricots verts. You know what I’m saying? – Yeah. Haricots verts, – Yeah. – [Stevie] I can’t tell if you’re kidding. Three, two, one – It’s French for green beans. We know that because it’s the first thing we learned in French class. – It’s the only word. – [Stevie] Oh! (speaking in French) – It’s the only thing I still know in French. – You know more than me. It literally is the only word that I still know. – Because I say it. – Because you keep saying it. – I keep saying it. I keep teaching you. – You know other French. You paid attention. (Link speaking in French) Yeah, see? See, you know more than that. Come on, man. That’s a deep French cut. – [Stevie] Except for- – French cut. – [Stevie] They are different, actually. – What? – [Stevie] Yeah, it literally means green beans, but they are in fact different from traditional green beans because they’re bred to be thinner and more tender than your traditional green beans. – Oh, they’re more haricots. – Oh. So we were both wrong. – Yeah. Well I actually, yeah. I definitely don’t know if I moved the thing, but I was thinking that. So hold on, for real, though? – And they’re better raw. – They’re better? – They’re better. They’re better raw. – They taste better? – Yeah, taste them both. – Oh, you mean versus, but you don’t like uncooked green beans versus cooked green beans. I don’t like an al dente green bean. I like it when you cooked it with some fat back and you took all of the nutritional value out of it and it’s almost brown. – The seeds in an haricots verts are smaller. – Haricots verts is better. – That’s what I said, man. – So much better. – I’m getting my greens in for today. – I’m gonna have to start requesting haricots verts. – [Stevie] Well, the stay on the bean kick, chickpeas and garbanzo beans. Three, two, one. – I’m just gonna go with what I’ve always thought. They’re the same. – [Stevie] Yeah, they’re the same. – They’re the same. They’re the same. – But which one’s more fun to say? – We have no chickpeas? – Garbanzo is definitely better. Do you know why? Do you know origin of that? – [Stevie] I don’t. I have the scientific name of the legume and then other than that, I don’t have. – Now, she’s talking about legumes. – Now, you got a mouth. If I could get my nipple next to my belly button, boy, you’d really have something to talk about. (crew laughing) Oh, yes. Twinkie finger’s been over there working it! Wow! – Hey, that looks like. That is like a horror movie. – That is a horror movie. – [Stevie] What if you shaved your face and looked in the mirror and that’s what it looked like? – Nipple face, man. – Hey, do me! Do me! – Nipple face. – Leave that one up, though. It looks like something in a Guillermo movie. – Oh, my gosh. What would the nose? What could the nose be made out of? Twig and berries. – Yeah. A penis. – Let’s not do that. Don’t do a wiener. – Put a wiener, but no balls. Just a wiener. – What could the mouth be? – No mouth. – [Stevie] Speaking of wieners. (Rhett laughing) Shrimp. – A butt hole. (laughing) – [Stevie] And prawns. – That would be the most. Talk about like, if there was like- – Don’t do it, Twinkle! – No, if there was a contest. – Don’t twinkle that! – If there was a contest and it was like, make the most heinous horror movie villain. And a guy came by with nipple eyes, penis nose, butt hole mouth. (both laughing) You would win. You would win, man. – And that anus has gotta talk, too. You have to see it talking. – But only through farts. Morse code through farts. – No, no, no, no. I think you could hear it. I think you can make out. – It’s Morse code! – You can make out what he was saying, but it would be farts. It would be like- (both blowing raspberries) – That’s hard to do. – Yeah, we gotta bring in Mel Blanc for that. (Rhett laughing) – Oh, man. There are people who can talk with their butt hole, though. – Now, those two nipples that you used, are those? – Not either of ours. – Are those my nipples? – Eye stock. – That’s just eye stock nipple. – eyestocknipples.com. – Yeah, yeah, yeah. – Wow. That’s crazy. That is just disturbing. I cannot look away. The way that it’s- – It’s got hair on the forehead like that, too. I like that. – [Link] It’s like a big eyebrow. It’s like a big swath of unibrow. – Yeah. It’s really, really cool. – You doing me? – [Crew Member] You have glasses, so it takes a little while. – Yeah, yeah, you gotta get those nipples right through the glass. – Yeah, I want the nipples underneath the glass and I want the glasses to like, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy. – That may be worse, yeah. – Until you’re ready? And just take as much time as you want. I’m gonna be looking at this. – And just do the penis and the butt hole for us. Don’t show it now. – Do you need a suppose for that? – Is there more game? – [Stevie] Yes. – There doesn’t need to be more game. – Just one last one. – Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. – I wanna go out on a good note. I don’t want me saying do the penis and butt hole for us to be the last thing that you hear. – Why am I still looking at it? – It’s hard not to. – [Stevie] Okay, one more. – I mean, a belly button could be the mouth. – You can’t talk out of a belly button. – [Stevie] Crawfish. – It’s not connected to anything anymore. – [Stevie] And crawdads. – Oh, this is a good one. – Let’s do lightning round. Three, two, one. – That’s different. Technically, very, very similar, but technically very different. – [Stevie] No, they’re the same – (laughing) Dang. – Crawdads and what? – Crawfish. – All right, next one. – [Stevie] Mules and donkeys. – Come on, y’all. That’s different, man. – [Stevie] Yeah, they’re different. – A mule is sterile. A donkey’s not. – A donkey is sterile. Mule is sterile. – A mule is a breed. Cross between a horse and a donkey. – [Link] Donkey and a horse, they make a mule and a mule can’t make anything. – Did you just make that up? – Yeah. – Kids, remember that. – If you take two nipples, make them your eyes. – No, no, say it again. – And your wiener is you nose and your butt hole’s your mouth. – Yeah, you remember that. Yeah, remember that. Can we make it a mule penis? – All right, the moment that Twinkle fingers shows us my face with nipples for eyes and nothing else, I want it to be up there just for a second. So like, they have to pause it. The video will be over, you know? They’ll just have to pause the video in order to see that. – Just to be clear, it’s just gonna be Link with nipple eyes. We’re not doing the penis and the butt hole. That’s just for us. – Oh! – (laughing) Whoa! Whoa, do it again. Do it again. He did a belly button mouth! Oh, man. Wow, that was a good call. That was such a good call. (gentle music) Man. We gotta make this movie now. – [Link] Get exclusives, additional colorways, and Prime shipping over at our Amazon store.
