(rooster crowing) (lion roaring) – Welcome to Good Mythical More, let’s get into some fun would you rather. – Okay, this is getting tough. – Or would you rather watch something else? I mean, that’s your prerogative. – First we gotta do a new selfie face, this one’s called I wish grown-ups could go trick-or-treating. – I got it. I can help you out. – Okay. Okay, Barbara. She’s so excited. – I rarely do this. – She’s so excited, she’s so excited. – What is it called? – I wish, I wish grownups could go trick or treating. (camera shutters) – All right. I took a few. – Okay. Barbara. Have at it. Do whatever you want. – Maybe somebody can take that up a dormant mountain. A dormant mountain? What is a dormant mountain? It’s like a plane. It’s like one day it might become a mountain again. What do you have to do about that. – [Stevie] Hey, you guys wanna discontinue some stuff? Metaphorically. – Yeah. Let’s see how long Barbara stays on the desk. – The, what, the what came out. – Yeah, he just, what. I said, “dink it.” What! – Showing her butthole and drinkin’ my water. – We have butthole coverage and not, not coverage by the camera, coverage by tail. So that’s good. Oh, also by a camera. Okay. I’m going to give you two things, and you guys are going to tell me which you would rather discontinue. – Okay. – [Stevie] So, would you rather discontinue people who don’t refill the Brita, or people who somehow always make the bathroom counter really wet? – Oh my gosh. Well, here at the studio, we don’t have a Brita. At the creative house we have a Brita, and for, when’s the last time you refilled that Brita? – Oh, I don’t, I don’t fill it. – I know! Do you know that I fill it up every time. Have you noticed that there’s always water in it, but you never filled it up? – Have you noticed that I’ve never once had the water from the Brita? I drink tap water. That’s why. It makes me stronger. And also, I also get the, the, the counter wet, like a maniac. – I, yeah. – At my house. – Are you the one here who does it? – No, no. At my house. Like around my sink is super wet all the time, because I don’t know. I’m just a big man. I got a lot of hair, a beard. – But, just dry it. Like, Ill use- – But its my sink. It’s my side of the sink. – Yeah. But here at the office, I mean, I’ll, I will dry my hands, and then I will dry around the counter. – Whoa! Don’t. She bit it. – She bit it? – Don’t bite it, just- – She thinks its a chew toy. – So I, I, I’m abstaining from this one because I do both of them. – Oh, no, no, no, no. We don’t want her to chew this, ’cause this is- – This is our display model? – Its the floor model. – Yeah, but if, but here, if she chews it a little bit, the floor model can be discounted. (plushie says “Good Mythical Morning”) She loves her daddy. Even when he’s a plushy. – I’m gonna let you have it. She really wants, she really wants to chew, chew you up. – Are you going to jump? You’re going to jump on me. (Barbara barking) Okay. I’m going to throw this to Jenna, and then you’re going to jump off the desk. Okay. I’m going to throw it to Jenna, then you’re gonna jump off the desk. – Still on my desk. – There she goes. – [Stevie] So Link, it’s up to you to pick which you would rather discontinue, because Rhett is abstaining. People who don’t refill the Brita, or- – I think, I think refill the Brita, because I think that sinks dry on their own. – [Stevie] You know, what’s a, well, I mean, I don’t have a Brita or a K-cup Keurig, but I do feel like the Keurig water filling follows the same model. You got to look at the amount of water in that thing, and then you got to be a team player. – Hey, I do put water in the coffee maker. What are you getting out of that trash? – [Stevie] Okay, people who chew with their mouths open, or people who ride on your bumper in the fast lane. – I don’t really mind tailgaters, but I don’t like the chewing with the mouth open. – I mean, one, the tailgating could lead to a lot worse outcome. – Are you the kind of person that, if somebody is tailgating you, you tap the brakes to like get them to back off? Like you have a bumper sticker that says “back off Jack”? – In this town, I feel, I feel like there’s an expectation to tailgate, and I tailgate. And we’re all in traffic, so- – flow of traffic. – It’s a flow. Yeah. It’s a flow of traffic, density thing. So I tend to not, I’m not sensitive to that. – Yeah. The mouthful thing is a problem. – And I do it, but yeah. So, even though there’s more danger involved in it, I think in this town, you just kind of get over it. – And if you have cat-like reflexes. – But, putting your lips together when you chew is something even I’ve figured out. – Yeah. – Right? – [Stevie] Yeah. I feel like that’s the right decision. – I mean, I do chew with my mouth full. – [Stevie] I mean, I think LA is a special- – It helps, but you can still hear it. – [Stevie] LA is a special traffic consideration place, I would say. Probably outside of that, you wouldn’t pick that. – If it was a country road, yeah. – [Stevie] you wouldn’t pick that. – In Greensboro we’re not doing that. – No. No, no, no. Not Greensboro. – I see, I see videos, like you got the dash cam videos, and some of those are people who tap their brakes in front of an 18 wheeler, which is stupid. (Rhett sneezes) Bless you. [Stevie] Bless you. – Both of us. – I’m a little allergic to dogs. I have one. – [Stevie] Someone who hops in front of you in line, because they just have a quick question, or someone who returns a bunch of stuff, but searches for the receipt for 20 minutes. I’m guessing these are both in front of you in line situations. – I’ve done. I, I’ve done the, the quick question thing, a version of it, and I got to say, I did it in, like a month ago. – Oh. – Or maybe, I don’t know, month and a half ago maybe. It was Shepherd’s birthday. – Okay. – Jessie wanted me to go to the Baskin Robbins and get an ice cream cake, because it keeping the family tradition alive. He likes ice cream cakes. – Uh-huh. – Nobody is at this Baskin-Robbins. Nobody. I don’t even, I think it might just be like a front for something, some sort of organized crime situation. But, I go in there, and I’m by myself and I’m looking through the cakes, and then like a full van, like I’m not kidding, a van of people. I don’t know if it was a youth group, a large family- – Commune. – Could have been a commune. – An ice cream loving commune. – They get out and they come in. It was a it was a 15 passenger van, and I think they were violating the law. So it was more than 15 people, and they all get up there, and they’re all like taking time and stuff. I found my cake. – You were in the establishment first. – I was in the establishment first. – [Stevie] So you’re quick question was, “I have cake. Can I check out now?” – Yeah. Well, they were all in line, and there’s only two people working there and they’re both helping them. And I, and I kind of went, I navigated through the whole group and I was like, Hey, I just need to get this cake and get outta here. Just real quick. And the guy was like, “no problem.” And it took me 30 seconds, and I was out and they continued on, and I felt a little bit bad, but I was like, I’m going to be in here for 15 minutes. And I got to get back. I mean, cause they were McLaughlins. It was all last minute we needed the cake right then. – Birthday was about to end. – Right. And so I am, I have done that. So, I can’t say that I have a problem with it, ’cause I’ve done it. – I think if you ask the quick question, and then it that’s all it is. I do think you’re okay. But the moment that it takes another beat or two or 20, then you’re really, you gotta be like, you know what? You gotta turn around to everybody in line and say, “I had a quick question. They have a complicated answer. I’m sorry. You know what? I’m just going to bow out of this. I didn’t- – I otta thought you were gonna be like, “just so you know, I’m gonna be here awhile. But its not my fault.” ‘Cause that was cool, I like where you were going with that. – I was at the craft store with Lando, ’cause he had to get some of that stuff. He’s always having ideas that require a trip to a craft store to get something that is really hard to find. – And there’s complicated questions. Like they are bound in the craft. – The dowel rods are not easy to find at a Michaels. – And once you get there, there’s like seven different kinds. – And there was only one cashier. Once we got up there, and there was two people in front of us. And then all of a sudden I started looking and there was eight people now behind us in line. I was like, “well, we got in at a good time.” And I looked before us, and really what was happening was there’s only one cashier. And then, but no one was there. The thing had just grinded to a halt for no reason. And then after a minute of waiting, a woman comes back with an additional thing. She was up there checking out. – Can’t do that. – She was like, let me get one more thing. – Was it a dowel rod? – That doesn’t work, dowel rod or not. – Sometimes I’ll just get a dowel rod without knowing how I’m going to use it. – It’s good to have those. – I love them. – I mean, it really made people in front of me angry, but I was just thinking, you know what? I’ve got nowhere to be. I’m not going to get triggered. – This isn’t the apocalypse, yet. – Yeah. But what was the other one? – [Stevie] Okay, so it sounds like you’re giving, you want to discontinue someone who returns a bunch of stuff, but searches for the receipt for 20 minutes, which I have not experienced this being allowed, but yes. – I’ve experienced the coupon- – If you’re returning- – coupon notebook. – If you’re returning stuff and you’re in that line, you gotta be ready for a lot of frustration. I mean, it’s gonna happen. That’s just part of you returning something. You’ve already admitted defeat. – They can’t make it easy. – Yeah. That’s not gonna be easy. But the other thing should be easy, and that’s the problem. – [Stevie] Okay. This, this one is this one’s difficult. Gender reveal parties or Jersey shore reruns. Actually, it’s not that difficult now that I say that out loud. – Is that, is that still happening? Jersey shore rerun? – [Stevie] Yeah. – I love trashy reality TV. I never really got into Jersey shore, but I’m sure I’d love it. I’m not a big fan of gender reveal parties. Not only because they’re inherently problematic, but also, because they burned down like half of California at one point. – [Stevie] Yeah. But those, that family did get a hefty fine. It doesn’t make it okay, but at least they were punished. – Yeah. So we got to get rid of those. – I think when you buy the gender reveal crap, there should be a fine that you have to pay them for just doing it. – [Stevie] Walmart Black Friday stampedes, or really deep paper cuts. – Oh. – Oh man. You’re talking about like poster board? – [Stevie] Yeah. In parenthesis it says poster board. – You know, a dowel rod can give you a paper cut if you, if you’re really erratic with it. – I think that’s just a wooden stabbing. It’s a different, it’s a different thing. Yeah. It’s a giant splinter. – Oh, yeah. That’s a good point. – Do you know about the ends of the dowel rods that are painted different colors? That’s for sorting. – Cause there are different diameters? – It’s just for the sorter. It’s just the person doesn’t have to be like, they can just be like blue, blue, blue, blue, blue, red, red, red, red, red, red, yellow, yellow, yellow. Yeah. – The ones that we got didn’t have any paint on the end. – Well you may have gotten all kinds of dowel rods. – Oh crap. – That could be a problem. I’d cancel that. Not knowing what kind of dowel rods you got. – Black Friday stampedes. I, I’m just, I don’t participate in that stuff. So I don’t, I don’t. – I don’t think we should get rid of them though, because I think it makes you feel, it makes you feel alive and free. I’m not- – If you’re into that. – I’m not a part of it. But I just feel like listen, this is a capitalist nation. We’re crazy about our consumer goods. – Right – Let us have’em. Not a sponsor. – [Stevie] Okay. So we’re discontinuing really deep paper cuts. – Yeah, those- – Definitely. – People get hurt. – That gives me, that shakes me. – I mean, every once in a while somebody gets trampled, on Black Friday. But you know, that’s part, That’s the cost of doing business. – Speaking of shopping, reminder, check out our Amazon store, amazon.com/mythical logo wear, classic designs, exclusive designs and grooming. That’s what I did today. Try that again. – That was a little bit of grooming. You’re just grooming a little bit. Okay. – [Stevie] Phone calls or small talk? – Oh, I hate both of these. – Now, now we’re getting to it, aren’t we? – Oh, I hate phone calls, man. – But you can accomplish a lot in a phone call. I mean, that’s to get, do, do away with phone calls. I’m definitely going with small talk here because it’s- – I find myself falling into the trap of small talk, and it, listen, we’ve avoided a lot of small talk because of the state of the world. Right? Not meeting a lot of new people, not going to gatherings and stuff. But, the few that I have gone to, I found myself falling into the trap. First of all, all the small talk is about what has been going on in the world. Everybody has to have that conversation, and then you have that conversation and you’re like, it’s like being in LA and talking about traffic or weather. And now you got to talk about- – Which we’ve already done in this episode. Talk about weather. – Yeah. – Well, the weather today- – I find myself in that small talk trap, and I don’t know how to get out of it. I need to have like a whole, a quiver of other subjects. – I think it could be, you know, I’ve got someone I need to call. – I have a phone call to make. That’s how you get out of small talk, but then don’t make the phone call. – We’re saying it’s small talk, Stevie. – Yeah. – [Stevie] Get rid of that small talk. Yeah. I agree with that. – It’s pointless. I mean, maybe it’s not pointless. You get to know people making new friends, but you know, I’m all tapped out on that front. – [Stevie] You can’t take your answer back. – And I don’t want to. – Need mythical merchant, a hurry? try amazon.com/mythical for grooming, logo wear and reissued designs delivered with prime shipping.
