We’re gonna make a dinosaur. So what’s your stance on Pringles? I’ve been very clear. I’m kinda with you on that. I’m not a big Pringles person. What about Stax? I don’t think I’ve ever tried Stax before. Well, you know what? There’s the first time for everything. I think if you didn’t know that chips were a thing, you would love these. Probably. And first of all You know what I’m saying? Like, this is like chips of the future. Let’s compare an actual Pringle and a Stax in terms of Just grab one of each here. So these are the originals. But if you, the Pringle is a lot more curvaceous. Oh, I didn’t even get a whole one here. A lot, a lot more curvaceous than a Stax. And then if I’m just gonna Oh, it sure is But they’re about the same size. That’s a little disappointing, isn’t it? I mean, because the, I like the Stax cylinder better. It just seems like it, like you couldn’t get a Pringle in a circular. But here’s the thing about Pringles that I’m really I really believe in. This is made out of paper. This is plastic, bro. Made out of plastic. Now why you gotta, I mean like, do we need another thing made outta plastic? It’s not as good. I mean, Pringles is doing the paper thing. You gotta give them credit for that. Let’s take a little nibble of the Pringle. I like that, man. I just do. Bland. I’d definitely have to eat one with some flavor on it. Whoa, the Stax is way different. How is it different? Same consistency. It’s crumblier. I thought it was crumblier. Yeah, it’s crispier. You think? Yeah. It’s thicker. It is thicker. It’s saltier. You think it’s crumblier? Assuming I got them on the right way. Yeah, they are. But they taste It’s not as good as a Pringle though. Like, let the Pringle taste really settle on your tongue. and the balance on a Pringle is better than the balance on a Stax, I think. As a chip, I think the Stax are better. But as a Pringle for like the entity of the squished chip I think the Pringle has a signature taste. Yeah, right. It does have a more signature taste. But I’m not gonna be eating the flavorless ones anyway. But for this one, the Pringles have won. So bow down Stax. So just to keep a record Rhett, keep the winner. The winner stays out On your far side there. Just as a record of it. Yeah, the winner stays out. All right. Now we’re gonna go with one of our favorite flavors on this show. Sour cream and onion. What’s your favorite flavor of chip just in the chip world? Me personally? Yeah, you personally, Ian. Those dill pickle ones, honestly. And I was agreeing with you on that. I told y’all The what? The dill pickle chips. That’s why I gave Dill Pickle their moment on that taste test. Because I knew people were with me on that. Yeah, but how many of ’em can you eat? Can you just eat ’em forever, indiscriminately? I’m not really big of a chip person. I’m more of a French fries person. Oh you are? If I’m gonna have potatoes, yeah You got a sweet tooth or something? With French fries? Those sweet French fries. [Ian] sweet French fries. No, I’m just saying if you choose French fries over chips and you don’t like both then that must mean you’re really a sweet toother Oh no, I love potatoes. No, yeah, my dad used to call me potato-tarian. That’s like my thing. Potato Terry? Potato-tarian Oh, potato-tarian. You’re potato-tarian, but you don’t like chips? Chips are the best, dude. They don’t taste as much like potato. It’s kind of like the the Pringles have that Pringle flavor. It doesn’t taste like a potato. It tastes like a Pringle. Am I eating the right one? Yeah. I gotta stop this nibbling. I just gotta eat the chip like a normal guy. It’s crispier. I’m telling you the Stax are crispier and thicker. So you’ve already tried one of these? Now we’re just talking about flavor though. I think the Stax is winning this one. It’s got a stronger tangier, it’s got more sour. It’s got more sour cream. Am I wrong about this? Nope. It’s got more flavor. And you can look at the surface and tell. I would go so far as to say twice as much flavor. Look at the difference. Like, you don’t see any green specs on that. Look how many green specs are all on that. They’re not even trying to say there’s green specs on this. So Ian, not that it matters, but what’s your vote? Because we agree, is all I’m saying. Yeah, I’m with that one. This is unanimous. This is unanimous. Bow down Pringles. Alright, you wanna make it bow down? I kind of, I started that Bow down Pringles. But like, make it bow down. If they stay that bold I don’t know, maybe they pull back every once in awhile. Slide those across Apparently Pringle are just supposed to be bursting the flavor. So I don’t know how that’s going. Yeah, yeah, They’re not really I mean this definitely says that it’s bursting with flavor. Mesquite barbecue over here versus just regular barbecue. What if you were at school and you had a teacher named Miss Keet? Miss Keet? That would be weird on a couple of levels. Miss Keet. Oh, I’m in trouble with Miss Keet again. Well That’s a fine chip. But this one, look at how, I mean, good gosh. Stax is better. I’m gonna find the one that has the most, I can’t even, Find the one that has the most. I mean, look look at how much more stuff is on this. Yeah. Yeah. How about Miss Steak? Am I gonna have to be the one to tell you what a steak is? Oh, I’m in trouble with Miss Steak again. And is it like, is it Miss Steak or is it Miss Take? That’s why there’s mystery Right? And there’s Miss Terry across the hall. It’s a mystery. That’s true. This has a lot more flavor. But the barbecue flavor I think is better than the Pringles. I was thinking the same thing, honestly. You think the BBQ flavor is better? Not that it matters, but Rhett, what’s your vote That’s so packed with flavor, I thought it was better, but I guess it bows down. As a barbecue chip, that’s better. That is a decent flavor though. We’re right, Ian. It’s just something about the mesquite part of it. You in trouble with her again? Yeah We failed that test. I don’t think Miss Keet understands me and understands my gifts. Woo. These are so much better. They’re a lot more vinegary. So if you don’t like that Count me out for this one ’cause I’m not a good, He’s abstaining. What an after taste Rhett. Here we go. See how fun it is when they’re bowing down? Making things bow down. Cheddar cheese Now before the other chips got wise Pringles was really, Hold on, where’s the chip at? Right here. You gotta keep the chips with it. We don’t actually, though. No, no, no. Well, I had to go to Pringles in order to get a cheesy chip, if I remember correctly, before all the other chips, you know, caught wind. This is my favorite Pringle. If I had to choose one. I mean, they just don’t go bashful with how much seasoning they put on. The interesting thing about Stax is that whoops, they only put the flavor on one side And then you can choose if you want a lot of flavor or a little flavor. And I like that. Yeah, it’s kinda like a frosted mini wheat. Yes, I love those. I always go flavor-tongue down. There’s such a strong potato flavor though that it’s almost overpowering the cheese The Stax? Interesting. Let’s try again. Like there’s a lot of potato aftertaste. Hmm Hmm Hmm. I’m kind of on the fence on this one. I’m gonna leave it up to you guys. Break the tie in my mouth. I like this one better. Okay. Alright. I like the Pringles better. Oh man. Oh dang, okay. Well this is, we’re at an impasse. Because the chip is thicker, something, I don’t know. All right Let me try one more time. Ian, you’ve got guest privileges. All right. You like Stax better? Yeah, I do. Bow down. It’s very close. Just so we’re on track here And move that blue one there. Pringles has won two out of the five rounds, Stax three. Now we’re going with scorching cheddar. Look, how much stuff is on the one, the Stax Versus flaming hot? Good Gosh. Flaming hot is not cheese at all Right? It’s just flaming hot. Look at that, look at that. So we’re going scorching cheddar. It’s spicy. Is it hot? Is it real hot? It’s not that hot. I mean, the Pringles isn’t. I mean, look at that. I wouldn’t know that it was cheesy. That one’s hotter than this one, I think, maybe. Oh no, this one has a bit of an after bite. Oh, it is scorching cheddar but it certainly doesn’t taste like it. Stax are hotter. Way hotter. Listen, if you’re trying to go hot, you go all the way Extra flaming hot. Yeah, I’m voting for Stax. Yeah, I like it. I like, oops, sorry. I like hot stuff. Sorry Ian. No Look at what I did. I made it bow down and you almost lost a chip over it. Oh man, look at this. Stax are on a, we got a Stax streak. Ooh, let me get a drink. Yeah, I gotta pace myself. Thank you. What you got? You got a tea? Oh nice. Yeah, I got some tea. I think it’s That’s nice and calming Vanilla and cinnamon. Oh, I’m a big tea person. I don’t know how this is gonna mix. Tea and French fries. You’re very sophisticated. Okay, what have we got now? We love it when we have sophisticated fans. It makes us feel smart. The joke I made in the episode, I don’t know if it stayed in the edit, What’s this? Switch those. What do you mean? Like that and what’s that? I don’t know if it made the edit, but when I said a 10 year old would like that joke. I asked Ian in between rounds off camera. I was like, “So who are you pulling for?” And you said It’s kind of a legacy vote. I used to always vote for Link when I started watching when I was about 10 years old. And so I was still doing that. Because why? Because as a 10 year old his jokes resonated with me more. You’re right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think the words exactly were I found his jokes funnier when I was 10 if I, But I like them both equally now. Funnier than Rhett’s jokes, when you were 10 or funnier than my jokes now. Oh no, no, no. Funnier than his I like, I still like you. That’s why I said I like you both now. Yeah. You’ve only gotten funnier, Link. Wouldn’t be here if I didn’t like you guys. That’s right. So we couldn’t really get a a one-to-one comparison here, but we got We’re gonna see which one we like. And drinking that tea’s gonna mess you up. Yeah. Well Oh man. Finally, Pringles is bringing the flavor. That’s a good Pringle. It is a good Pringle. That’s a really good Pringle. I gotta give it to them. I don’t actually like ranch, but I like that. Well, it’s ranch, so maybe you like ranch. Maybe I like ranch now, what do you know? I don’t like what the Stax are doing with that. It has that fake-y barbecue flavor. That’s bad. I think it’s actively bad. So this is apples to oranges. But that ranch is so good. Get Pringles another round. I mean they’ve lost three in a row. Oh, we have to. Do you agree? Just like me. Yeah, the Pringles. Bow down, bow down ba-dow, ba-dow That’s going outta here. Okay, there you have it. So if you want, we recommend ranch. This is the winner of the day overall. Well we didn’t discuss that In my opinion. I mean, you, yeah. You just sort of said that. What do you think is the best chip out here? Mine is ranch. I like the hot one. It’s kind of my go-to The hot Stax. Yeah, I think so. But I was the most surprised by the ranch. I think that one was the exceeded expectations the most. I actually think it might be the salt and vinegar Stax. What, don’t bow down. You won. So that is a negative to the cans being too tall. You can hit them over too much. That’s right. If I had to take one home, it would be this one Which is? Salt and vinegar Stax. Oh. That’s my fave. You know, my loyalty to Pringles remains. And I don’t like Pringles Nonexistent, you mean? Yep, that’s it. My loyalty to Pringles remains and it’s a disloyalty. Yep, yep. As long as you’re consistent. Okay. Alright Ian anything else you want to want to try while you’re here? You want to like, you can eat a piece of the desk. I don’t know. Yeah, just start nibbling on it. I’m actually a beaver in my spare time. I did see, I was watching a TikTok of someone who had a pet beaver in their house. Really? Yeah, and the beaver just kept dragging things out of the closet and taking it down to the end of the hallway and building a dam out of household items. Building a dam in the hall? Yes.
