Welcome to Good Mythical More. We’re about to learn you a hack for your life so that you can be better at the things that matter to you. – Period. Comma, first, freeze frame. – They could do anything. – They froze it. -They can do anything. – Boy, I wonder what they said about us. – As spokesmen for New Pepper. We are glad that you have joined us today. We wish that we were being paid, but we’re not. – Yeah, typically, when we try to acquire a sponsor by going ahead and acting as spokesman, it easily doesn’t work out. – I’ve eaten too much of this. We filmed a Mythical Society exclusive bonus round because we had some more products. What were they? I already forgot. – Gum and butter. – Some strange gum and butter so go over to the Mythical Society and see that. I may have eaten more New Pepper on the gum, and I may not be feeling great right now. Just wanted to throw that out there. – As a spokesman for New Pepper, I kind of think you should be able to take as much New Pepper as possible without any complaint, because when we’re out there on the streets with our little booth trying to get people to try New Pepper, and it’s a windy day and you’re applying New Pepper on someone’s hot dog, it might fly right back into your face. And you have to be unfazed. – Unfazed. – And if you. Get a bunch extra in your mouth, you have to smile and be like, Boy, I can’t get enough of New Pepper. That’s the thing, by the way. – And then you’ll be like, it’s anti-inflammatory. – It’s anti-inflammatory. That guy’s not going to be inflamed for weeks. – Right. – He just got 10% of his daily vitamins. – Okay, but yeah, I’m hurting a little bit. I’m a little bit under the weather, and the weather is New Pepper. – Stevie, you tasted this on the fry. I saw you get one. And what was your opinion on New Pepper? – [Stevie] It was good, and bold name. Okay. Peppers. Peppers. Been out here for a long time. – Yeah, it is different than pepper. – [Stevie] But it was good. – And we were discussing there’s also new salt, but I think it’s “Nu” Salt and it’s potassium chloride and it’s supposedly. – Puts salt in you. – Doesn’t cause you, you know, it doesn’t cause hypertension. So it doesn’t contribute to high blood pressure, but it doesn’t, I mean, it tastes kind of salty, but it’s a little bit different. I got some. – Maybe you can be Nu Salt Boy and I could be New Pepper guy. – Look at that. Well, I think you should be salt and pepper guy. – I’ll be, yeah, I’ll be Nu Salt and New Pepper guy and you’ll be my number one fan – I’ll find a new thing. – I feel like I deserve a pat on the back for that one. – [Stevie] Oh, this brand also makes new salt but it’s spelled you know, N-E-W. – Hold on, this brand makes New Salt? -Give them my number I want it for free. – Ashwagandha? Oh, that’s a – Ashwagandha and salt? -That gets you going, I think. – All right, so let’s get to our first life hack. It’s meme format. so get ready for that. You’ve been looking at it, now we’re going to explain it. Level up. – This is two bowls in one microwave. I can’t tell you the number of times that I’ve tried to double bowl a microwave and just run into all kinds of problems. – Oh, I like this. I’ve certainly fallen over the microwave. What’s it called? Leftover night. – And so you’re using a ceramic mug to lift one of the bowls higher. Now, the question I have, just from a microwave standpoint. – Ask it. – I think getting the bowl up higher, is it better or worse? Are they like focusing all the microwaves at one spot? Or are they all bouncing around? Some of them get out. That’s why you can’t get too close to it. – Right. That’s why there’s holes, little holes in the screen and you’re. And that’s why I am who I am. Staring through those holes too long. – Got too close to the microwave, watching things spin. – I got a couple of problems with this. – Let’s hear them – My first one is the teeter factor. I mean, that’s teetering. Once that starts rotating, it’s going to teeter. – I don’t know. It seems stable. -The last thing you want and this leads to my second point, you don’t want to be having to sop up and clean up the inside of your microwave. Where is the drape? The paper towel drape, And can you do it? You could do a double drape. – But let’s not critique that part of this, because let’s just assume that you drape it the way that you drape it. – When you drape it. It’s going to increase the teeter factor, thereby making this too risky for New Pepper. – And I use those, you know, those Tupperware that’s glass. And then has the thing on, Anyday, whatever it’s called? Whatever it’s called. – The lid? – [Stevie] What does it have on top? – It’s that David Chang. This is like the second plug I’ve made for it because Jessie and I talked about it on Ear Biscuits. But David Chang has this, like, glass Tupperware that uses. But he cooks everything in the microwave. We’re talking to David Chang here. Professional, accomplished, chef. Will cook, like, salmon in the microwave. And you’re like, you can’t do that. You can. And it tastes good. And he does it. And he started doing it on his TikTok Anyway, that thing can’t spill because it has a pressure relief valve mixed into it, built into it. So you could totally do this with Anyday. That’s all I’m getting at, is that I’m only commenting on the different leveling that’s been done. And I think this is A-plus. I think for making that observation, I should get a pat on the back. – I’ll give it a I give it a C-plus. I’m afraid of the things I already talked about. – Let’s see what we’re going to go up against. – We’re going to put it up against. – Flat meat. – When freezing ground meat, flatten it out as much as you can to reduce thawing time. You got to run this under some hot water in your sink. And you want to get to them burgers as quick as you can. – Also just cook, you can throw that on the grill You’d just have a big Wendy’s patty. – Yeah, you could. Wendy’s. – Call it the Super Dave. – Make sure that you get all the plastic off first. – No, it cooks right off ((Laughing)) – Cooks right off it. – It just melts? – It melts right away. You never knew it was there. – It slougheds off like Gollum’s first layer of skin. Okay so what we’re doing here is we’re going to compare these. – Who cares about thawing time. We’re waiting seven weeks for New Pepper anyway. I might be confusing a couple of the products at this point. – We’ve already been doing this at my house because. – Y’all been flattening your meat? – It makes it more storable as well. Yeah, yeah. – I don’t think I’ve ever paid much attention to how I put my meat in my fridge. – Come over to my house, open my freezer drawer, you’ll see stacks. – You got stacks of flattened meat like files? – Yeah. Yeah. – Like, what’s your meat filing system? – It’s like going through LPs. – Oh, veal from 2017. Don’t eat that, by the way. It’s been there since 2017. I don’t even care what’s next. That doesn’t win. No way. – I’ll just keep it to myself then. – This is ingenious. Everyone’s going to do this. – I was already doing that. – Okay. Flattening the meat? – Okay. All right. What’s this? Low on counter space? Put a drawer and place your cutting board on top. – Now, they do make these, just like fancy kitchens. You can get, like, a pull out cutting board. – I think this is like a 60’s kitchen thing, too, because the creative house. There’s a drawer, but then there was like there’s a little slot above it and I yanked on it one time and a cutting board came out. Really? I never thought of that as a fancy kitchen. – No – Yeah, it’s an kitchen – Did you know it was there? – No. But now I’m going to cut so many things on it. – Yeah, it’s literally this, but it’s built in, What kind of drawer is this under there, though? Because, you know, all of this stuff I’m not trying to be Debbie Downer, but I’m just trying to keep it real. You’re going to be sloughing off shavings into your silverware drawer. – I get so much stuff off of the cutting board that I then have to do a pass to get all the stuff off of the counter after cutting things. So this is not I just don’t think this makes sense. – I feel like I need a pat on the back. – But I will say that meat on top of the counter is so flat, it looks like it was stored very well. – Uh huh. Yeah. – That’s a flattest meat I’ve seen. – Bring it back. Seeing what happens. Are you second guessing it. We can go back. We can put this one here. – No, man, this double bowl thing is the best thing so far. – Okay, well, if we change our minds. – Level up. It’s got a good name and everything. – It’s right over here. This is dumb. – Yeah, we don’t like that. – We don’t like that. I mean, what? I mean, what? You live in a dorm or something? Or New York City? – Yeah, right. Yeah. Your bed is your countertop. – Okay. How’s my stomach doing? – I think it’s doing great. – Not great. Thanks for asking. – Okay. – Here we go. Mount your phone to the seat in front of you using a Ziploc bag. Is this on a plane or is that, where is this? A plane? – Yep, that’s a plane. – Oh, my gosh. This is. And then if there’s a flood, your phone’s safe. Like if you crash into the sea, you can still watch. – Well, you probably got a waterproof phone. – Gilligan’s Island. – You know how like different airlines do things differently, right? – All airlines are not created equal. – So Delta will put, Delta in most flights. Delta has a screen in the seat in front of you, right? – Yeah. – But American made a choice a while back. They thought that everybody was just going to be watching their phones and their iPads. – Yep. And you know what they’ve got? – I don’t think that has happened. – But do you know what they have? Where there’s a screen in Delta? There’s like a it’s a plastic flop down platform that you then put your phone on. – Oh, you mean American? – Yeah. – American will do that. Yeah, they have a little, little screen. You don’t need to take a bag on American. I don’t know. Like I just, I feel like I really want the screen. And then we were on a flight with Shepherd recently and I was like, Shepherd, do you realize that when I was, not when I was your age. Probably when I was 25 or something. – Okay, his emotional age. – You get on a plane and there would be this screen at the top of the plane, like one screen every like five seats, and it would fold down. It was this big and they would show like the Titanic on that screen. And everybody would just be watching. This one little screen that was like four rows ahead of you. – Right. – He went, really? I was like, that’s what plane movies were. – When flat screens were invented and they put them in planes. Yeah. Like 20 people would share one. – One screen that was so small. Do y’all remember this? – [Stevie] Yeah. – But now we still do it. I mean, you got your screen in front of you, but you’re watching their screen anyway. – Yeah. – [Stevie] Remember when we didn’t have screens at all and you had to get one of those little magnetic mini checkers games. ((Laughing)) – Magnetic mini checkers. – [Stevie] Can you imagine? Like, that’s your entertainment. – Yeah. I think maybe if you’re on Spirit, You know, Southwest, probably And American because they, already have a little holder. – This is not, this is fun. This is cool. This is ingenuitive. This is cheap. This is shameless. I love it. Because you don’t when you’re holding your phone down, it hurts your neck. It’s not it’s not good. It’s not good. I’m really in love with this because even though the occasion for needing it is getting less and less. – You also have to look through a bag though. You got to get a good bag. What if you get a wrinkly bag? – You got to pull the bag taut. You’re going to really, you got to seal it. – I feel like I can see the wrinkles in that picture. – You go up there with a cord, that’s coming out to go to your phone. – And you blow it. – You suck all the phone air out You make it like a sous vide. – [Stevie] You have one of those David Chang Tupperware You just stick it right. Stick it right there. And it really. – Now you’re talking. – [Stevie] Really works. – So I feel like you’re fighting for this. – I’m fighting hard for this. Yeah, because there’s no downside to this besides embarrassment. This is not I mean, that thing is not going to stay up there. – Yeah, it is. – Everybody knows – Unless there is an earthquake. I think you’re fine. – It rotates the placement of. – Stevie, we need a tie breaker. – Coffee mug. That thing is going to hit the wall. Turn over. You’re going to be mixing two bowls. It’s horrible. It’s stupid. – Which one is better, Stevie? We need a tiebreaker. We’ve come to an impasse. – It’s ingenuitive. – [Stevie] Okay. – It’s good for your posture. – [Stevie[ Well, I’m just going on what meme style I like more and level up two bowls, one microwave. That’s a reference I love. – Yes, that’s right. Passing it right along. Put that with your flat meat. – I will. I’m taking both of these home. – We got one more though. – Both of these are going to be going over my toilet. – You know what you can hang your flat meat up on the seat in front of you on the plane too. ((Laughing)) And you can put a whole laptop in there. You can put a whole like Microsoft Surface. You take the meat out, put it on the seat next to you, and then you put the Surface tablet in there. So you have fun with that. – The phone is going to help thaw out my meat. – You leave the meat in there? – Yeah. – And the battery last longer. – Meat stays in. Phone goes in. By the end of the flight, I got a burger. – Hey, is that the New Salt guy? I think that’s the New Salt guy. He’s got flat meat and his Surface tablet in a bag. Or New Pepper. Sorry. New pepper. – Okay, Stevie, you’re not going to like this. There’s no meme format at all, but it needs not words. – Oh, this is the sprinkler. This is a Pepsi, clear Pepsi sprinkler. – So the amount of effort needed to attach the garden hose to the end of the to the 20 ounce. This is sus right here. – And then do you rotate it or you just let it sit? I think it. – This is this is a sad, sad. What do you think the HOA going to think about this? ((Laughing)) This is going to be on Nextdoor. – I don’t love this, y’all. I do not love this. What? I’m trying to come up with something positive to say about it. – Well, it’s better than just hosing, hand-hosing your yard. I saw a guy doing that the other day. You don’t see that a lot out here. There was a hand-hoser. – I think it creates more of an intimate connection with your lawn, and I think that’s good. So, I’m going to get to know this spot. I’m watering this spot. Hey, little spot. – Right. Yeah. – And you’re like, you just sitting there. – You familiarize yourself with it when you’re around automatic sprinklers. – Right. – You might go a few weeks and have one broken and you don’t even know it. – It feels a little corporate. – Yeah. – I like to be on the ground level, you know what I’m saying? Right there with it hosing down my yard. – [Stevie] Are you are you a yard hoser? – I like the idea of it. I’m a New Pepper man. – [Stevie] Yeah, yeah. – Yard hoser. – So I’m just. Why have I been opposed at every turn? I just don’t. – If I go stand out in my front yard, sometimes I get mistaken as yard hoser. If I have my hair down. – If I combine these two together with my meme. -That was a Hozier joke. – Oh, I get it. – Yard “Hozier”. – I get it, he’s got the long hair. – Yeah. Can I get a tap on the back? Not a pat. Hey, is that the guy that looks like Hozier in his front yard? That’s just a yard “Hozier” Just keep driving. – Let’s replay the whole thing, because I did. I did appreciate. – Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Sometimes I can look like a yard hoser if I just go out my front yard. And take my hair down. – But did you say Hozier? – No, because I thought that was giving away too much. But I’ll do it again. – That’s what you need. – Sometimes when I go out my front yard, I look like a yard Hozier That makes it work when I say Hozier, right? – Right. – Yeah. – When I’m standing in my yard with my hair down, sometimes I get mistaken for a yard Hozier. – It would be a funnier joke if yard hoser was a commonly known thing. – Because we just invented yard hoser, and then I immediately make I made a yard hoser joke. – But that’s not how his name is said – “Hoser”. – It’s “Hozi-a” – No, no, it’s not, it’s “hoser”. – No, it’s “Hozi-a” – No, it’s not. – I think it is. – It’s “Hoser”. – No. – Is it “Hoser”? – It’s not “Hoser” – It’s “Hoser” – Hey, man, meet “Hoser” like I’m not taking you backstage anywhere. – It’s “Hoser” – “Hoser” might show up. – It’s with a “ser”, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. – Allow me to introduce you to “Hoser”. How many people? How many people call him “Hoser” to his face. – Hoser? – Hoser. – Well, I’m not going to. – “Hozi-a”. I mean, if you don’t know what it is. – It’s “Hoser”. – But if it couldn’t be that. – If I had to pick between “Hozi-a” and “Hoser”, I would call him “Hoser” And hope that he just didn’t hear me that clearly. – No, man. – Hi, “Hoser”. Hi, “Hozi-a”. – Hi, “Hoser”. – Because I will say, “Hi” if I ever meet him. That’s how I say hello to people. – [Stevie] You know, the natural greeting of hi, person’s name. – Hi, “Hoser”. – [Stevie] You usually say. – Hi, “Hoser”. Thanks for having me backstage. – Hi, “Hoser”. Okay. So this is the best. – Yard hoser. – This is the best. Two bowls, we knew it right from the beginning. Two bowls, one microwave. – I do think that you should change your your artist’s name to Garden Hozier. – [Stevie] Wait, we’re getting the right. It’s “Hozi-er”. “Hozi-er”. – “Hozi-er”? – [Stevie] Yeah. “Hozi-er” – “Hozi-er”? – [Stevie] “Hozi-er”. – It is? Hi, Hozier. – Like, he’s more hose? – He’s the hose-iest of them all. He’s more hose than hose. – [Stevie] Hozier. – Hozier. Hoser. “Hose-er” daddy? – Hozier. Hozier? Hozier. – Hozier. – Hozier. I don’t like it. – Yeah.
