Welcome to Good Mythical More. Apparently, there is a Generation Alpha. Yep. You have to be like, what? Ten? Nine years old, ten years old? At most? Something like that. And they have their own slang. Yeah, I’m sure it’s awesome. And we’re gonna learn it today. With you. But first, I got a little secret handshake. ((Laughing)) You’re trying to. Oh, these? You’re trying to unbutton them. I wasn’t gonna give you a titty twister. And then. There it is. A little secret handshake, we’re in a club. It’s a little pocket for us. You gotta have on pocketed shirts to be in our club. Because otherwise that handshake doesn’t make a lot of sense. Corduroy. – [Stevie] 2012 was the first year of Gen Alpha babies. So they could be 12? – [Stevie] So they could be 12. So, my youngest, Lando, did not make the cut. He’s too old to be Alpha. He’s in the Z’s. Alright, so what are these 12 year olds and 11 year olds? What are they saying? – [Stevie] There is a viral meme song called Sticking Out Your Gyat for the Rizzler? ((Laughing)) Sticking Out Your Gyat for the Rizzler? ((Laughing)) – [Stevie] Yep, you know it, but, but, also, because you like to hear it so often, let’s, let’s listen. (♪) Sticking out your gyat for the rizzler. (♪) (♪)You’re so skibidi. (♪) (♪) You’re so fanum tax. (♪) (♪) I just wanna be your sigma. (♪) (♪) Freaking come here. (♪) (♪) Give me your Ohio.(♪) Okay, so that kid said skibidi I learned this from Jarvis. Yeah? On the podcast. On Sad Boyz. Skibidi? Skibidi. They showed me the, the skibidi toilet thing, right? I don’t know where that’s at at this point. At the time, it was in a very dark place already. ((Laughing)) But he was trying to explain it to me, and I just, I mean, I seem so old, I’m sure. I was just like trying to figure it out, and just, like so confused, and probably squinting a lot. But yeah, but the skibidi thing, my theory about this having thought about it since I was exposed to the skibidi toilet thing and now seeing this is that they just use these words not because they think that they’re cool or they think that they’re trying to invent slang, they’re literally doing it just to troll everyone older than them. That’s my theory about this. Okay. It isn’t like when the 12 year olds get together and they’re like, yo, that’s skibidi. They don’t, I don’t think they do that. I think they talk like just normal people. And I just think that they say skibidi on the internet to confuse their parents. So, we’re falling for it? Yep, totally falling for it. All right, Stevie, let’s fall all the way down. – [Stevie] Well, you’re right about skibidi, but were there other words in there that you didn’t understand? A lot of them. Definitely. – [Stevie] Yeah. ((Laughing)) Majority. – [Stevie] Gyat. Gyat? – [Stevie] Yeah. That’s when you, I mean, that’s like, gyat. “ge-ot” out of here. Right? Gyat. Gyat. Gyat. Get out. It’s like, when you’re trying to get a livestock animal to move. ((Laughing)) Yeah, is this a particular video game that we were watching? Probably. – [Stevie] Fortnite. That’s Fortnite. Of course it is. ((Laughing)) Boy, I remember. Because my kids were into it when it first came out. I tried it once. Give me the context again. How, what was it? – [Stevie] Okay, let’s play it again. Oh no. (♪) Sticking out your gyat for the rizzler. (♪) Okay, pause it. (♪) You’re so skibidi. (♪) Pause it. Alright, and then you can keep it going from there next time. So, rizzler. Cause I don’t want to hear the whole thing. – [Stevie] We’ll go to, well, yeah. Rizz. Rizz. – [Stevie] Wait, wait. Figure out what gyat is. Sticking out your gyat for the rizzler. So, sticking out your gyat. It’s your butt. Your gyat is your butt. – [Stevie] There we go. It is? – [Stevie] Yeah. And then the rizzler – [Stevie] It comes from AAVE. Gyat is used as an exclamation for God, but it started growing popular with Gen Alpha when people would use it in the comments of a Twitch streamer’s streams to mock him. Although it started as a generational exclamation, general exclamation for God, kids were hearing it used in the context of seeing an attractive woman so often, so often that they started taking the term to mean, butt which is how they use it now. How do you spell it? – [Stevie] G-Y-A-T. I don’t, I guess I, you lost me with the first thing you said. Which was A A V? – [Stevie] V E, like gyat damn, you know, like, like God, like. Oh. – [Stevie] Yeah. Okay, alright. – [Stevie] G-Y-A-T. Alright. Gyat. Got it. Okay. Gyat. So it’s pronounced differently. – Gyat. – Gyat. Gyat is a butt. Because, okay. Wow, that’s pretty cool. For the rizzler. Now that you’ve explained it. Now, we know that rizz is Gen Z. For someone who has charisma. Charisma. So the rizzler. It’s someone who’s like, flirtatious and winsome. Has rizz. So the rizzler is. It’s somebody that you like, you gotta stick out your gyat for the rizzler. The rizzler is the, is the standard bearer of riz. It’s the most charismatic person that you know. – [Stevie] Yeah. And, it was popularized by Twitch streamer Kai Cenat Okay, yeah. Oh, Kai was at, The Streamys that I was not, well, that my cardboard was at. He’s in with the rappers. Yep. Yeah, maybe, that could be me one day. I wanna be in with the rappers. Why didn’t you talk to him? You know? You could’ve talked to him in, like, with your alter ego. I should and could have, but I didn’t. You could’ve been like, I’m a DJ. Alright, so let’s pick it up from there. (♪) You’re so fanum taxed. (♪) – [Stevie] We missed, we missed the, the next one. We gotta rewind. Oh, we gotta rewind? – [Stevie] Okay. Let’s start from the beginning. ((Laughing)) (♪) Sticking out your gyat for the rizzler. (♪) (♪) You’re so skibidi. (♪) – [Stevie] Oh, yeah, we have skibidi. You’re so skibidi. – [Stevie] I also don’t have any more. That means nothing. You explain Skibidi to the, to the, you know, length that it should be explained. There’s no other definition for it. Alright. But Link doesn’t know. No, it means nothing. It’s a? – [Stevie] It’s just skibidi toilet. Yeah, it’s just a reference to that animation. By the way, shout out to Tiktoker human.1011, who is a linguistics major, who, who broke all this down. Thank you, 1011. God bless you. Gyat bless you. ((Laughing)) Alright, let’s hear the next snippet. (♪) You’re so fanum tax. (♪) You’re so fam tax? Phantom tax. – [Stevie] Fanum tax. Fanum tax. Oh, fanum tax. Fanum? You’re so fanum tax. Fanum. It’s just a word for fantastic. It is positive. We know that. You’re so fanum tax. ((Laughing)) Phantom tax. It’s just another way to say fantastic. That’s cool in Gen Alpha. That’s all we’re, that’s all we’re talking about. That is a good guess. We’re all talking about that. I bet you they’re not talking about, like, taxes. No. There’s no way that makes sense, like, well, it’s the tax that the fanum has to pay, you know, when he shows up. You know, it’s not like that. It doesn’t make sense. Fantastic. – [Stevie] I mean, it kind of is what you said it’s not. So, it refers to content creator Fanum, who’s friends with Kai. And when Kai streams, Fanum will often be seen coming into the room and taking some of his food, which became known as the Fanum Tax. Wow, so it does make sense. There’s hope. No, there’s not hope. There’s hope for the Alpha generation. They know what taxes are. Let’s seem real old now, okay? I have never once in my life, never once in my life watched a Twitch stream. Not once. I’ve not watched one second of a Twitch stream. Well, you know, I haven’t. Now I have seen like a TikTok clip of a Twitch stream. I’ve seen Kai like, you know, in like a highlight or something like that. Right. But. Yeah, why, why would we do that? But my impression just, just as a 46-year-old man. Yes you are. I just don’t understand. I truly, it’s like I am at that age where I truly do not understand. I do not understand what is entertaining about it. Here’s the thing. I understand somebody playing a game. I get that. But they’re not playing a game, they’re just streaming. I don’t. This is what it comes down to. Tell me. Help me understand it. It comes down to, when you go home, do you just want to lock yourself in your bedroom? Yes. ((Laughing)) Okay, never mind. In fact, that is exactly what I do. Leave me alone! I mean, if you went home and just went to your bedroom to be with your friends virtually and to like be on screens and stuff, it’s just part of it. You turn on a stream, man, it’s just there. It’s like when I go visit. It’s company. My mom, her phone, her television is always on. It’s company. Blasting. It’s not entertainment, it’s company. Yeah, it’s just like, oh, you know, it’s like, is she buying anything from Home Shopping Network? No, she’s just keeping it company. And vice versa. I’ll watch a stream. It’s the bedroom thing. I’ll watch a YouTube, clip of a streamer that like does commentary about something. Like, oh, this streamer is gonna sit down and watch this video in, like, a Jarvis type way. Like, I get that, but when I just see the clips and they’re just, like, just sitting there? Yeah. I don’t know, man. Let’s keep going. (♪) I just wanna be your Sigma. (♪) Sigma. I just wanna be your Sigma. So, you’ve got Alpha. You’ve got Beta. Beta, and you’ve got Sigma. So this is, like. Well, Sigma’s not after Beta. I don’t, well, no, I know, but it’s somewhere, right? Yeah, it’s. It’s, it’s in the Greek alphabet. Sigma means I wanna be, like, your, I wanna be subservient to you. Is it like a, is it like. I wanna be your Sigma. I think it’s a sorority thing. No, they don’t know, they don’t know about that stuff. It’s fraternity, sorority. – [Stevie] You’re on the right track about Alpha male and Beta male. Yeah, Sigma’s so far down the line that it’s just like, I just want to be your little, what do you call it? Bottom? – [Stevie] No. ((Laughing)) No. No. ((Laughing)) Right? Is that, is that it? See, I know little things. ((Laughing)) – [Matt Carney] The bottom sticks out the gyat. – [Stevie] Well, okay, so it’s so, it’s, yes, it’s so far down the alphabet, and that, and, but it’s not because it’s someone who’s like, so subservient, because that’s kind of like, what a Beta Alpha versus Beta would be so the Sigma’s far away from those two. Are you giving a hint? – [Stevie] Yeah. It seems like you’re giving a hint the way you said. – [Stevie] I am. So it’s, it’s a different track where you’re not subservient. You’re not even trying to be an Alpha or a Beta. You’re just, you’re not a threat. You’re outside the system. Or a benefit. You’re outside the system. Yeah. You’re outside of the box. – [Stevie] Yeah. Yeah. You’re a lone wolf. You’re a lone wolf. – [Stevie] Yeah. But I wanna be your lone wolf? – [Stevie] Yeah. I don’t understand. Well, first of all, I, this is starting to kind of make sense and I love the tune. Did I say that? You haven’t. I love the dance. I’ve been thinking that the whole time. I just wanna be your Sigma. ((Laughing)) Keep going. (♪) Freaking come here. (♪) (♪) Give me your Ohio. (♪) Give me your Ohio? Freaking come here. That’s nothing. That’s not a slang. Freaking come here. – [Stevie] Yeah. That’s like Millennial slang. Yeah. Give me Ohio. Or give me death. I don’t think, play that again. (♪) Freaking come here. (♪) (♪) Give me your Ohio. (♪) Give me your “hio”. Your Ohio? Give me your “hio”. Your “hio”? Give me. – [Stevie] It’s, it’s been interpreted as, give me your Ohio. Oh. – [Stevie] So, what’s Ohio? Give me your Ohio. Ohio is a landlocked state. Ohio is a neglected, unappreciated, forgettable. Yeah, like, don’t give me your best effort. Give me, like, half effort. You know? Give me your Ohio. We love Ohio. I just also love making fun of it. What about Oh, hi, oh? It’s like you remember to say hi and oh to someone. Oh, hi. Oh. Yeah, that feels very, almost Gen X of you. ((Laughing)) You know, we’re technically on the line and I think you just X’d all the way into it. Give me your Ohio. So they have the Ohio and they want it to be given. ((Laughing)) Your Ohio. Is it, is it, is it from, is it a reference from, oh, is it like a reference from somebody who lives in Ohio? – [Stevie] What? Like. Give me your, give me your. Oh, like your own private Idaho. My own private Ohio. Do you even know my own private Idaho? That was a saying that we would say. I don’t know. Back on the prairie. – [Stevie] I’ve never heard of that. You know about my. Is it related to, it is related to, yes, the state? Well, probably. – [Stevie] In a way. This is, there’s the least conclusive evidence of this thing, so there’s some speculation here. Okay. How many people have watched this song? – [Stevie] Millions? Millions. So, this kid’s a pop star? I give up. – [Stevie] Okay. Ohio is a meme amongst young people based on the idea that Ohio is a lawless state where really odd things happen. So our best guess is that give me your Ohio is a longing for a state of chaos. Ohio is the state of chaos for Gen Alpha. Okay. Anything goes because nobody cares. It’s a swing state. I’ve said that before. – [Stevie] Okay, now go ahead and do the dance. ((Laughing)) Oh, is that it? (♪) Sticking out your gyat for the rizzler. (♪) (♪) You’re so skibidi (♪) (♪) You’re so fanum tax.(♪) It’s more of a march. (♪) I just wanna be your Sigma. (♪) (♪) Freaking come here. (♪) (♪) Give me your Ohio. (♪) Give me your Ohio. What is he? ((Laughing)) Is he carrying one of those, characters from, uh, the impostor on his back? Among Us? Yeah. Impostor. ((Laughing)) So that’s an Among Us character on this character’s back. See, I knew that. Yep. I mean, if you kill him, he falls off. And you can pick it up. Let’s hear it again. (♪) Sticking out your gyat for the rizzler. (♪) (♪) You’re so skibidi. (♪) (♪) You’re so fanum tax. (♪) (♪) I just wanna be your Sigma. (♪) (♪) Freaking come here. (♪) (♪) Give me your Ohio. (♪) ((Laughing)) I like it. I think I get it. Somebody needs to be grounded. I’m gonna start watching Twitch. Somebody needs to take away your screens for a week. So you can carry a tune. – [Rhett] If you’re second and third degree Mythical Society, you can watch the very first Good Mythical Evening on the society now, MythicalSociety.com
