GMMore 2732: Match The Emoji To The State

Welcome to Good Mythical More. We’re wrapping up this season by asking ChatGPT to produce an emoji that represents a state. A set of emoji. A set of emoji? A set of emoji. And then we’re gonna look at those emojis and see if we can guess what state ChatGPT. And we’re gonna get every one of them right. Trying to do. We’re in that kind of mood today. I love the fact that like, in the distant future, you know, 26 more seasons from now, um, we’ll be looking back, remember that chat GPT? Remember when that was a thing? Boy, that, that went away. All of that AI stuff just went away. Oh, just faded away. You know? Didn’t take us over. It’s not impacting anything anymore. Um, but before that happens, uh, you gotta check out the new website that we found. Sour Puss Soundbites. Sourpuss sound bites. Yeah, it’s like, um, it’s kind of like debbiedowner. com, but it’s a cat. If you want to hear somebody complain, like, Aw, shucks! Rats! And you can put in something. Like, if you don’t know how to be negative about something, you can put it in. Like, here, put something in the chat and I’ll demonstrate what sourpuss would say. How do I, what can I say bad about donuts? Oh my god, don’t get me started with those hole things. It’s like, you know, they’re charging for something that’s not there in the middle. Well, that’s, that’s so depressing. Sour pat, sour puss. Yep. It’s chat GPT, uh, source. Anyway, you should check it out because it’s just as good as we just demonstrated. All right, Stevie. How do you feel about this season, Stevie? I feel great. Best season ever. You feel like we’re getting better? We just keep bringing it back, you know. You feel like we’re getting better? I do long for the days where it was just the two of you, just talking about whatever you wanted. There’s no crew, and there’s no Stevie, and it’s just the two of you. But this season was okay. Oh, are you talking about the golden age of GMM? Yeah. Sound like you’ve been on sourpuss. com. Now, um, you can phone a friend. Um, well, where’s the phone? Bring the phone back. Oh, I’m sorry, I thought, I didn’t know. Where’s my friend. Yeah. He, I loved it when he would call him on the phone. It went far away. Well, go get it. It’s coming back. Got to get it. You know what? Season one, that would’ve never happened. Would have never happened, season one. Yeah. Cause we couldn’t have phones in season one. Yeah. Phones didn’t exist, actually. And where’s the phone? Here we go. Okay. What were you doing with the phone, Lucas? Can phone. You call it. Are you talking to my friend? You’re talking to the, uh, the dea, the businessman? What was he called? The dealer. The dealer. I might phone a friend, but I don’t think I’m gonna need to. Okay, here’s the first set of emojis. Kentucky. Kentucky. Heyo! Hold on. I didn’t even need to call you. I’m sorry. I saw it and I was like, Kentucky. We got whiskey, basketball, bluegrass, and horse racing. I mean, give me a freaking break. Give us a challenge is what I said. And you’ve got a fiddle. So your friend is Chat GPT? No. Well, why did you say give me a break to your friend on the phone? Like, it’s too. You know, I’m commiserating. Got it. Well, you know, give me a break. Like, quote, give me a break. I said that to someone else, not you. Not me. Not you. Yeah, yeah. I did say it to you. Okay, here’s another one. Florida. Okay, listen. So, uh, yeah, oranges and alligators are the only two that I can think of. Is it not Florida? It’s Florida. He said it so quick, and then he picked up the phone. Now he’s talking to somebody. So the thing is, is that, He’s got things to talk about. I feel like this might be my superpower. I can look at a set of emojis and know the state within one second. Yeah, he, that is what you’ve done so far. Alright. Okay, here’s another one. Washington. Oregon. Yeah. Gosh, I didn’t do it. Okay, I’m sorry. I went Pacific Northwest, but then I saw Mount Rainier, and I was like. That’s Half Dome, though. That’s the problem. Why did it put Half Dome on there? That’s in California. Mushrooms. Mushrooms? So, isn’t the big mountain in Washington? Or is the big mountain in Portland? Oregon? Well, now, and, oh. Where’s Mount Rainier? Rainier. Washington. Yeah, this is Washington. They got it wrong. Well, but again, Yosemite’s on there. So they got it wrong twice. I think this is like, mountain, mountain. You know? Picture of a mountain. Yeah. I’m taking issue with this one. People from Oregon visit Yosemite and then take a picture and take it back. Also like, not every state has a mountain that’s an emoji, you know? Oh, oh, okay, I forgot that. That’s true. How? How? Bewildering. Do you think this is for someone from Europe to watch this happen? In what way? Like, do you think that this is impressive to someone in Europe? That we can look at emojis and know what state it is? Oh! Or do you think they’re like, they also know? Because, you know, they don’t have states. They have countries. They have countries. Yeah. But their countries are basically states. Let’s be real. Let’s be real. Like, I mean. Yeah. With individual governments, but that’s kind of what we have. You guys have, like, different languages. We have different barbecue sauces, but yeah. Tit for tat, as they say. Yep. Ready for another one? I think we’ve had better seasons. Okay, this is getting harder. Alaska. Could I say what they are? No. Yeah, that one took me four seconds. I’m just joking. Took me four seconds. I didn’t even look at it. I’m not even trying. We had the stars, the fish. We had, uh, bears, eagles. He said Alaska very quickly. Mountains, snow, and trees. Yeah, it could only be Alaska. I mean, this is a [bleep] of a way to end it. I think this is our best season. I think it gets a little bit better. A little bit better every year, Link. This show. That’s how I feel about it. Just a little bit better. Uh, I think some years it hadn’t. Oh, okay. What year? Gotta tell em. I mean, you know the years. But, uh, I’m saying in general. Not right now. In general. I feel like, uh, I feel like we’re having a good time. I feel like we’re really in alignment. I feel like, it’s just like a new set of veneers. I think that it gets a little bit better every single year, but that doesn’t mean for the individual experiencing it, that that would be the perception. Because your perception of the show is much more dependent on. Moments. When you entered into it, what you’re going through in life, what the show means to you based on other factors in your life. I mean, listen. You think it’s the SNL thing? Like the reason why people Everyone remembers SNL. Their favorite season of SNL is something that happened when they were in high school. is a season that while they were in high school. Hmm. Well, at least at a certain point. It’s like, it depends on where you are. What you’re bringing to it is a factor in what’s your favorite. You’re much more likely to be granted parole if the judge has just eaten. If the judge is hungry, you’re very unlikely to be granted parole. There was a study done on this. So people’s opinion on a situation is much more dependent on their personal. I’m just saying, I’m just saying that I think that we’re trying to make it better every single year, a little bit better every single year. Eat before you watch this show. But there’s no way that it’s going to be perceived in that way by most people. And it shouldn’t be. Yep. I don’t know how convincing that was. Here’s another one. New York! New Jersey. New Jersey, you’re right. He’s right. I got one. I slipped one underneath ya. Mm hmm. Cause of the roller coaster. Yeah, he got it faster than me. The Atlantic City of it all? I can deal with it. Okay. How you, is that a threat? Oh, I’ll deal with it. I’ll put an end to that. Alright. Another one. This is, uh, California. Yeah, it is. California raisins. Well, wine. Wine, cities, ocean, surfing, sun, and sun and Sunny, palm trees and surfing. We probably should have just gotten it with that one. It’s okay. Are you feeling bad about yourself? You wanna, you wanna let him know? Yeah, I was really, really fast the first three or four and now he’s done two in a row. Well, I don’t want to do that. Oh, this one’s interesting. This one’s interesting. What did he say? He wants me to, I can’t tell you. It’s not about that. It’s about, I can’t tell you. Um, this is, uh. Basketball and whiskey. Guitars. Where’s the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? Uh, this is, uh. Boston. No. Uh oh, this is states? Like, I would, isn’t there an acoustic guitar emoji? Like, why did Chat, I don’t know, that would be helpful at least. Utah. No, the basketball I don’t really understand. Utah Jazz. It’s not Indiana? Um, some mountains? Whiskey, whiskey and country music. Tennessee? Yeah. Tennessee. The basketball’s a little bit weird. Is I guess Memphis? What do you mean Memphis? There’s, I mean, there’s NBA basketball, but that’s not really, Tennessee’s not a basketball state, It’s a football state. This is a head scratcher. There was a football. That’s weird. And a different type of tree, a deciduous tree. And those mountains are not in Tennessee. I’m over that, I definitely, you know, you schooled me with the emoji thing, and I’m not barking up that tree anymore. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. I think this one’s gonna be easy. Go! That would be Wisconsin. I was. Yes! I was. Yes! Yeah, he’s three in a row now. Well, no, we skipped one because we didn’t get Tennessee. Yeah. He’s actually, he’s good at talking to nobody. That I just I just really enjoy it because, like, I actually believe there’s somebody on the other side of the line. You know, it’s like hey, it, I’m not, I’m not, I can’t do that. I, I don’t know how, you know, I don’t know how to act like I’m talking to nobody. Yeah, he’s impressed. Something about the tone. It’s like, you’ve really got the, I’m talking to somebody on the phone tone. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I’ve done a lot of that. I’ve had to do a lot of it in my day to ignore my wife! Are you, are you hearing the other side of the conversation in your head? Uh. Or are you, like, what’s happening when it’s silent? Yeah. He wants me to explain how it works. Well, I mean, I feel like that would be, I think it removes the mystery from it. Well, yeah, Okay. Okay. That was pretty good. You see the laugh? The sudden laugh? Dude, what did he say that was funny? I mean, did he say something that was funny? Did you think of something funny? Yeah. He wants to know what you said. Can I talk to him? Why would you say that? Ask him if I can talk to him. Hold on a second. I just, I, Is he, are you sure? Just let me, just let me talk to him. Okay, listen. No, no, no! I guess I know where you live. Oh! Oh! Okay. Okay. I’m sorry, that was a misunderstanding. Okay. Okay. I mean, is there another one? Yeah. Oh, Colorado! Montana. Dang it, he’s right! No, no, no, no, your both. Wyoming. Yeah. Uh, it should’ve been Montana. It could be. They’re all the same. All the same parts up there. It’s like, uh, this is when it gets hard. Parts unknown. Even if you’re European. Okay. Oh! And again. Is that? Huh? Do I hear? Is that the? Is that the phone ringing, but only for Link? Hello? Hello? If you’re there, just say something. That’s good, man. That was funny. Nobody, nobody there. Nobody there. Oh, man. Thank you for such a great season. I want to thank the crew for everything they’ve done. To, I don’t even, we don’t even know what they do. We just show up and it’s, and so much is done. We sit down and things get, things get rushed in and things get swisked away and we give our opinion and, you know. Our memory of it gets whisked away. Um, they store all of that. They, and then after, it’s taken places, and they massage it, and then they, and then they push it out, and then you see it, and it’s like, Yeah. I, it’s, it’s just, wonderful what y’all do for us and for you. Especially the massaging part. and Stevie, you know what? We couldn’t have done it without you guiding us through this, you know, it’s like there was a time, there was a there was a time when of course you weren’t, you know, you weren’t part of the show. Let’s not, let’s just don’t. It was just us talking, You were doing so good. And we had to work so much harder and now it’s just so easy and good for us, And then you turned 18 and we could hire you. You make, yeah. You make, you make our lives a living heaven. Yeah, you do. And, um, and thank you. Thank you. And you know what? For watching. Especially you. Because you watch Good Mythical More. And you stick around for the end of Good Mythical More. You stick around and, um. You’re a subset of a subset of a subset. We mean something to you. And you mean something to us. And that’s not lost on us. So and, uh, like we said, we’ll see you Monday. For a little retrospective.
