i get it on good like behind me don’t use the voice anymore now you have to choose you’re either gonna wear them all it are you gonna be the teenage girl you can’t be both to this good mythical more okay I’ll take it I’ll do it I’ll quit when you put it on hey you got a lot of hair what you get all his hair like I don’t think of a thing I think the wigs just too too small for your head yeah it’s too big to happen alright let me go this way there you go reversing to copy um how you saying to copy backwards it pop in your pocket it pocket that’s not okay welcome to good mythical more where I take you through some of the things that we didn’t want to talk about earlier six weird company names in their origins you ready for this yeah haha you’re sticking with it no um online real estates like Zillow there’s a combination of the words zillions and pillow I do not know why why would they think that this is the thing I mean do I really needed real estate pillows I kind of get I use Zillow a lot it’s a it’s a good name but it’s meaningless I don’t think they have to go so far as they our origin story is zillions of pillows you because you know what I do it I’m going around I like just looking at houses not that I’m looking for houses but I like looking houses and I’m like no matter how much that house cost you just put the address in to Google and Zillow will come up and it’ll have the estimated value of the house even if the house isn’t for sale you know I want how much that dude pay for that house it’ll be sold in 1994 for two million dollars whatever Zillow I’m not giving an ad for Zillow I’m just telling you I use them all the time now the whole zillions of pillows thing does I don’t get it I don’t get it by the way I just copied my sphere boy whoo there’s an idea the copied sphere boy additional you got to buy this in addition Etsy how many people in here been on Etsy lately haha pretty crazy right Jen said yes crafts it’s like it’s like a shop for people who can’t afford like a shop right people sell stuff it’s the store fruit otherwise couldn’t sell things otherwise couldn’t sell things I just think it’s like it’s a good place to sell things but you like you sell things from your garage from the garage no storefront out of their garage mats and woven stuff never been there is that obvious Etsy Etsy is a word yep in Latin it means and if not as if but like and if in Latin but it also means in Italian oh yes Robert Kaelin sought a meaningless word that he could turn into a brand he listened to foreign movies wrote down what he heard and turned it into the company’s name Etsy Etsy so it’s meaningless to him even though in two languages it does have a meaning yeah right but but it’s not like one of those situations where you name your company something that it means like poop and Chinese I mean this is actually and if and was the other thing it means oh yes oh yes oh yeah that’s good that’s cool oh yes I’m gonna get me a woven thing from a garage hmm GoDaddy was originally called Joe max technologies Joe max sounds like some sort of prostate treatment that will be flomax almost call it Big Daddy but the URL was taken oh yeah cuz I had and that’s it sells you ain’t gonna get Big Daddy daikon from me and sounds like a joke but I I’m told it’s true because there a URL registration service they couldn’t get their own URL so that therefore they change their name it’s funny to GoDaddy from Big Daddy too from Joe Max GoDaddy it works a lot better Twitter was almost called what status wow you’re a genius you can see this far don’t look at my nose man I want to know things status and then they called it twitch who originally suppose we call status they wanted something more memorable to capture the feeling of the physical sensation when your phone buzzes in your pocket but then they should call it buzz but they did I almost went with twitch but thought it produced the wrong kind of imagery yeah all something stronger that guy he’s twitching but status was that it would we would not be talking about them if they were called status look look through the dictionary four words around the word twitch and found Twitter really which I did not know was a word but it was in the dictionary it’s what a bird does Zynga com what is Zynga com zyn GA is the game company they make all those games you play with your friends all they made farmville they definitely make like words with friends write words with friends and ex with friends whatever it is well it was named after the creators bulldog who he had already named Zynga with an i zi n GA z ing a.com was taken so it made a why that Big Daddy I bought him all up back in the late 90s Google was originally called back grubbé now what they change his name to Google after the mathematical term Google that the number one followed by 100 zeros I think back rub I think that was a placeholder in it like a like a hula started company and tried to do something for now we’ll just call it back rub like that car like a like a fake name to keep people from knowing what the real like project back rub hmm before it before they came up with the title of the movie or the title of the company yeah it’s like a working title stevie has more information so what it was a search engine called backrub I’m it bonafide was called backrub cuz back rub was a bad idea what do you think of that sphere a boy yeah would you like to go back rub it it just seems a little too intimate for a search engine the wrong yeah a search engine for uh massage oh how much pill my nose off trying to smell Mar science okay yeah we go back we rub up some Mars Science and let us know what comes up you
