well I connected with my mom through you now you guys haven’t been to West Virginia right you go through there you’ll get picked up real quick either you’re confused or I should be sorry right now really didn’t think about it ahead of time was I said click through to good mythical more where I will share something that helped me realize that I’m not a mom which is kind of I was just trying to make a connection to moms I’m you thought your mom up to that point I want to clarify I’ve never thought that I was a mom but this story what happened to me last night um helped me understand that I could never be a mom even if wanted to be one and I don’t mean physically I mean emotionally you can get they make some contractions like injections like some sort of you know they make a mess Turgeon injection they make a man bra that you put milk into I’m not kidding about it so a man can breastfeed grab my daughter is 11 years old well she doesn’t breastfeed look in some cultures they breastfeed until I 6 or something not a joke not joking about that is that really where you want to take this no no but okay so here’s what happened last night um II um let’s see Lincoln said let’s watch let’s watch a documentary together let’s watch a nature documentary together whoa because it’s raining I’m right right here’s here’s what happens what my son really wants to do is watch Minecraft videos but he knows I’m not going to let him watch Minecraft videos and he’s addicted to screens this is the main thrust of our parenting at this point is to get our kids to not be addicted to screens we give them screen time which is allotted amounts of time where they don’t because they would spend every waking moment in front of a screen all three of my kids mm-hm and it I don’t think it’s a reflection on my parenting I think it’s a reflection on society all really not my fault okay I also like screen therefore my compromise is let’s watch a documentary together and Lincoln’s picked up on that so now he will say he’ll suggest to watch a documentary because at least he’s getting to watch a screen and it fuels his is uh his his habit his addiction and um Lily did not want to watch a nature documentary really no she was not into that at all she loves animals but she just don’t want to watch one of those Lando doesn’t care you talk about one where like the lion attacks the zebra and there you watch him eat the zebra we usually watch the ones like deadliest animals ever type thing yeah horror stories involving animals I’m not really a documentary it’s kind like a true TV special but it’s close enough so we got Netflix and we’re looking around I just said search for nature and then whatever comes up we’ll pick from that oh here’s one about bears everyone’s like link is like yeah and there’s like no no and then there’s here’s one on a snowy owl everyone’s like no and then I look at the description it’s like made famous from the Harry Potter books in films the snowy owl blah blah blah blah and all of a sudden Lily’s like yes oh she’s got a point out Kinect she is obsessed with Harry Potter she’s read all the books except the last one over the last three weeks it’s like cooporation oh that maybe five that’s impossible you need to lie send her somewhere I mean like she’s it has an addiction a great reader for that which is fine anyway to move the story along we watched the snowy owl documentary and they are just milking riveting they are milking the heck out of the snowy owls oh there’s only two snowy owl milking the snow yeah how the heck do you do that back to breastfeeding they are making they are overdramatizing a storyline to make the documentary more interesting ok these are the only two snowy owls in this whole Tundra and they’ve set up a nest here does that mean that they’ve picked a bad location and they’re not going to survive they now have five little hatchlings are they going to survive one of the the father is having to bring in all of these little mice type creatures I can’t remember what they’re called something with nice two syllables like big rat type things they feed them to the little outlets are they gonna survive one of them outlets is alarmingly smaller than all of the other out the runt is it gonna sever probably not at this point I’m like I’m gonna go take a shower I didn’t feel dirty or anything I just thought I was not interested in documentary so I went to take a shower I get out of the shower documentary should not be over yet everyone has dispersed and I Christy’s in the bedroom like what what happened with them would look at how LZ will have a wondrous day snow elk I just got to the runt part um she’s like it took a turn really the baby owl died and then the mom fed it to the other hey kids hey Harry Potter hey and then it’s got famous and Harry Potter and he Christian Brothers and then Christy goes Lily is in her room crying bawling her eyes out yeah you got a warm put a warning on that disc uh who came up with this thing what outfit is this thing from Hughes luring Harry Potter fans young and old then it’s such a morbid situation so then why did you say well I gotta watch this put it back in we’re not privy it’s not about there I gotta be dad to the rescue here so I’m like before I go for I go into Lily’s room I go into Lincoln’s room he’s getting in bed now it’s bedtime so I go up to Lincoln I’m like what happened he’s like maybe I’ll died other baby I was a tit good night dad yeah it’s I’m like okay at least he’s not upset this is cool Lando it was already asleep um I go in Lily’s room literally like face red eyes bawling and I’m like do you want to talk about it I just I’m not equipped for this I’m not the mom but you just showered I mean I’m at least pleased you smell like you want to talk about it she’s like no and I finally get out of her Mike are you upset and they I know they did I know that’s gross oh I’m sorry that that’s that’s wild life that’s why that’s nature that’s what happens things happen since I’m just upset the cameramen didn’t help my glass a good point interesting breaking the fourth wall and yeah and then I’m like well do you feel did you feel bad for the ponies I think they were called Kony’s there’s a little rabbit piece Kony’s where the rabbits and then there were like little rat like things do they were feeding to the Alice was like did you feel sorry for them did you want the cameramen to save them you felt sorry for the outlet because they were making the story about the aleph they made the story about the little mice you do feel sorry for the mice therefore good night she’s still crying I didn’t say therefore good night that’s just what I was thinking but that didn’t work you shouldn’t have said that and then so somehow I ended up saying you know when auntie C showed you the little puppies what they didn’t tell you is that the mom is blind and she rolled over on one of the puppies and suffocated it and it died too not like immediately I was like that’s not it wasn’t good it was nothing she do perspective I was trying to illustrate that you know those puppies that we met a couple of weeks ago one of them died as a result of the mother suffocated how do you feel now so she was she was she cried a little bit more than I was honestly trying to help and then I was like what was your point my point was it don’t stop watching documentaries but it’s good for you to learn that these things happen in nature it’s cruel but it’s the way things work you can’t interfere as a cameraman because you’re documenting it and it there’s a balance and things die all the time I can’t even do a much better job here of explaining and then I paint if you do we’re gonna feed you to you brother sister goodnight baby and then I said it’s like it’s like our friends dog Oh God you got also just died Gus got put to sleep yeah for our friends uh Gus who made an appearance in art get off the phone video was put to sleep on stones Saturday golden he had to be put to sleep had cancer dead cancer he yeah it was a humane choice but it was very sad heard her up with and my yeah I told Lily that it at this point I got to give my daughter credit at this point she goes she starts convulsing well yeah and I think I would have been convulsing and but then after a second I realized she was laughing she was and I was like then I started laughing I was like what are you laughing at she’s like dad you are such an idiot hahaha think about everything you’ve just told me and she totally called me out on she’s like dad you told me the worst stories that you could possibly tell me this puppy dies this dog died what are you what are you thinking wow she’s smarter than you are already and then then I realize I’m a genius I pulled her through it she’s laughing she had sweet dreams last night everybody’s good I’m I didn’t take one the motherly attack but you know what it was a long meandering path but we we it we achieved victory and I’m a great father mmm question mark like through well you know I’m proud of her because she’s smart enough to figure out she’s finally piecing it together what it means to have you as a father it only took a decade I mean the application point is happy Mother’s Day you know she better be glad she’s you know she’s got your mom she’s guys right your mom’s got the dad she’s
