try to do some different things instead of just walking slower and slower so we saw the guy who was singing and you’re like it would be funny to just plant yourself right in front of the guy because I have seen this man performing before it I always thought it was great he is great and when I learned at it I went up to him and he was he was like what are you doing I was like I’m walking like a you didn’t tell him ahead of time there’s something I just while you were filming this recording you walk up there and planted yourself and then started to walk at the speed of a seeing and then he basically invited me to sing with him and then we gave him a tip and he was very very happy made his day and he was wonderful now a little different story with you and the escalator well bin saw the escalator at the movie theater and he said there’s an escalator you should you should block it some of the oh gosh you got to do that so I mean I’m like you know I I know that I have to I know that I have to plant myself there and I’m like talking to people and I think it would have been better if the goggles or whatever they called the hidden glasses video glasses video glasses had have been working been working but and from my perspective is okay how long am I going to have to stay here before somebody comes and tells me that I cannot be here and then what am I gonna do they didn’t take long it didn’t take long at all when you’re blocking a a couple of people went by me you were there for less than two minutes before there was people on the scene asking me what was going on what is it there were people like there were people lined up at they bought their tickets to move and they wanted to go upstairs and instead of just take walking up the stairs they stood there and watched all they have their life don’t let your art delay me from getting to see my movie your people thought you were doing some sort of demonstrate they thought I was making like a up yeah a public art statement or something that wouldn’t be very artful but I mean if we weren’t filming of course I never would have done that just for the the giggles up well and then as we were walking away the guy said I hope you had a great day and thought that was very funny because it wasn’t so apparently it wasn’t funny which was probably maybe we should have done it and was that a customer or an employee I was boy he said it was not funny very adamant the guy who came up and blocked the camera because I didn’t see that the camera was being blocked and so you guys are trying to tell me to go up the escalator as you had been discovered well I would be a good out tonight I saw do the security guy coming down the escalator I was like oh link right when he gets to the bottom uplink makes it and if I can goes up that would have been able to be like but but I we had no way to communicate except by very large hand signal which I still didn’t see you don’t even know where we were I don’t think you never looked at us why didn’t I want to uh like give you guys away by looking at you wish me all Monsieur Doug go go up well that would have distracted you a little bit me but it’s a type of video that we don’t typically do like a hidden camera type thing because it’s kind of its kind of shooting in the dark you never know if it’s gonna work and there’s a lot of there’s not a pressure I don’t know yourself I don’t know person not I don’t enjoy getting asked to leave a place I mean I’m not I don’t I would want to do it every week yeah that’s for sure I mean I didn’t I like doing it once in a while just to kind of it’s like jumping in a Russian bath I will say I will say that the slowly walking frigid baths the slow walking thing is something that if you just do this in public and I’m not talking about going to standing stationary at the bottom of a escalator the movie theater I’m just saying just go into public and just to walk significantly slower than anyone else yeah you will definitely draw attention there was a guy telling about there’s a guy in Santa Cruz California they call the slow walking man now in places like Santa Cruz you know there’s just weird people and they have t-shirts and say keep Santa Cruz weird and there’s an you know and there’s the kind of thing where there’s people that are doing some kind of act that you would see like on the street in San Francisco or whatever the Worf kind of thing but this guy had made his thing walking incredibly slowly from his house to wherever he was going and this is like a mid 40s yeah early 40 year old kind of a guy he was totally committed to it he he looked relatively normal he had like all night kind of a suit and he had long hair he had curly hair curly yeah kind like Ronald McDonald hair yeah and he had a bow tie right or a tie he was dressed up he was dressed up he knew that he was going to be seen I remember sitting on a bench and have a conversation with carry an umbrella like the slow loris he didn’t have an umbrella he carried a number out oh and you know why he didn’t he did that the heat of the Sun uh well not only their Sun Also he creates like a Kane effect so you can it’s really hard to walk really slowly because you have to drop your weight and then move the next thing up but he was walking probably as slowly as me like maybe first maybe the me the second time I think he he wasn’t it he was not as fast as you because I remember having a relatively lengthy conversation with him while he walked in front of the bench I was sitting on you talked to him yeah I was like so how long you been slow walking he’s like Oh couple years really yeah cuz no one would talk to him I’ll talk about for two or three minutes and he just went from one end of the bench to the other that’s really slow you just stepped you just sat on the bench and like talked to him like this when he was about 10 feet from the bench that’s when the conversation started cuz I was like he’s gonna take a while and it took him a couple minutes to get by you sat on the bench yeah I never moved and he didn’t want to talk he didn’t but he was so committed to the thing that he was like you he had Norman act himself he ignored me for four or five steps and I was like hey buddy you know and then I got a conversation with him and was his name buddy know he’d been doing it for a couple years he doesn’t get paid to do it he just wants to move that slowly you ask him if he got paid to do it it wasn’t an act in other words it wasn’t like do you want me to tip you or anything – no no tips oh just walks
