buddy I didn’t know you’re here yeah I’m sorry I missed the beginning of the interrogation but better late than air okay can I kind of give you anything to make it more comfortable uh some coffee maybe a bagel ha ha ha maybe you have our own bagels oh I got a little bagels down your pants father you can tell me you got a bagels in your pants huh come on where do you keep your vehicles okay I’m gonna go mythical more where we keep all your bagels nice and fresh and when they’re like rubbery in a good way yeah you know that’s what we do with your bagel and make them rubbery uh I’m just gonna stay quiet until um and see where this goes what what constitutes a good bagel rubberiness right who here knows anything about bass TVs Jewish she knows doughy that’s what I mean like where you smush it and it doesn’t it comes back but it takes a long time it’s kind of memory foam yeah why use a memory foam for that um the sensation so here we are guys kind of debriefing about our awesome trip to JPL it’s uh inspiring to know that we were on it’s kind of like hallowed ground where you know these people are are making strides in space travel down base explorations really the data coming into that room the center of the universe you know the data that we get from everywhere outside of the earth is coming through that one place like everywhere I’m not I’m talking about every single interstellar or whatever they use whatever that word is communication comes through that pointer galactic even for like foreign stuff is still coming through there that’s it that was my understanding yeah it was crazy but I think it’s true I believe it and that’s all that matters right um so yeah it was it was cool to be there and you know get to get to even to get to drive that little thing on my body was pretty fun yeah you ever wear that normal day to wear the helmets and I’m pretty excited about the trailer we’ll put that up on Facebook and maybe you can convince people that we are making a movie and that like the Matt Damon movie is us yeah I’m sure a lot of people go I don’t know I don’t think any but wouldn’t it the one interesting things as as you know link had hiccups in the during our time at JPL the truth is it didn’t come out of nowhere I mean we kind of had to simplify story in the edit that hope you had it you had hiccups all day yeah um and let’s see what what’s the start of this story well I I mentioned that I’ve been going to physical therapy and I’m still been going for a while because my shoulders messed up but the start of all that what oh you thought Lizzie just hiccups like Wow for real you hiccups yawns are contagious but hiccups are not contagious no if it if hiccups are contagious to you majors like a bet I’m just skipping I’m just kidding so before I started physical therapy how I got on that road was first going to the doctor who tickled my shoulder and said you need to start going to physical therapy to like adjust your posture and to work your opposing muscles but depending on how much pain you’re in today I can also give you a shot and it wasn’t cortisone but it was basically like a steroid shot like same type of thing that would reduce the inflammation in the shoulder and reduce therefore the pain and I said I was intrigued because I’ve heard about this treat my father-in-law like gets injections in his hand because he has certain type of arthritis and stuff and it it hurts but then it’s helpful and I’ve been in like chronic pain it’s not just it’s basically every single day and I said well it’s not really hurting right now but it will be hurting later today because it hurts at some point every day and he’s like well I don’t know if I want to give you this injection but um why not give you if you want it I was like sure I’m curious and then he comes back in with a needle and he gives me the injection and that’s the story in himself that I’ll make shorter but the thing I was curious about was how bad it would hurt and the answer is really bad it’s very uncomfortable like he’s like there’s gonna be a pinch he’s putting a needle down against my bone into my joint like down into that thing and then he’s like you’re gonna feel so the needle was in there and he was like you’re gonna feel a little pressure I didn’t feel anything it was like now you’re gonna feel a little more pressure and then all of a sudden he like drops the plunger on me and I thought my shoulder was going to explode off of my arm like a detonation device on an Android you know it was just like the amount of pressure within my shoulder felt like it was going to send my arm across the room actually Threepio and then he’s like you get I was like oh I like literally made that noise oh major pain sound everybody has a pain sound he was that he was like just breathe deeply so I breathed deeply and then it’s like it got bigger bigger and I was like it’s about to explode and then finally it started to edge off and subsidy and say like you know how like sometimes a daughter warns you about something and then it starts happening anything I don’t know if his warning accounted for what I’m what I’m feeling yeah a dentist will be like let me know and I never like to be the guy that says anything at the dentist yeah there was a point when I think I need to say something because I might be about to die oh yeah that kind of thing it went from pain to fear like there was fear I was going around my arms gonna pop off right as I catch it man catch it and I also was afraid that I was gonna faint which I I got this close to fainting not this close he’s not that close but this could you tell him I told him ahead of time my cleaner be ready to lay me back brother cuz I could I could go down like flame at any moment um so anyway it’s subsided and then he said it’s gonna be sore and by tomorrow it’ll start to feel better and that’s when the hiccups um so I’ve got I’ll go home but you kind of taken the flame out of my story here well I think y’all know that yeah it’s going we’ve already said that no the hiccups are unrelated it’s just no I was just want to tell that story first so I go home and I go to sleep and I the pain is not subsided and then I wake up at 3 a.m. or it’s 2 a.m. I never wake up in the middle of night unless a kid is waking me up which does happen frequently but I never wake up I’m on volition and I woke up and I couldn’t figure out why and then all of a sudden it was like and I realized I had hiccup to myself awake and I was up for an hour I left the bed cuz they don’t want to wait Christy I was sort of walking around the house yeah like hiccuping violent man let me explain you heard some of those on the JPL thing but his hiccups are that loud um he’s not joking so after an hour I would think that it was a joke I was exhausted I finally get him back in bed and the hiccups do subside and then at like 5:30 in the morning my alarm clock of hiccups woke me up again and while go to this JPL shoot because it was the next day this day and that I’m talking about right now I’m in this day and I show up and I’m like I mean it would come in like every hour it would be like 20 my head one day but before that no I didn’t you sure you didn’t I did not have one day it was just that day just that morning yeah and I showed up we were getting ready for the shoot like going through security and everything and about 20 minutes out of every hour would be a hiccuping spell and it was subside and I was pretty concerned about it but for some reason I’m not the type of person that like will start googling about it I I think I like to not know it’s just like let’s just hiccups oh who cares but you you started googling this thing but I’d like to know because you cuz you realize that there are stakes here first we’re shooting at JPL all day I don’t want you to be hiccuping all day as what you’re thinking and then we shot this well in advance before scheduling issues with JPL this was right before you went to VidCon like literally day before so then we’re like hosting the mainstage and recording a bunch of your biscuits and a bunch of stuff and it’s like all the next well yeah and I had looked it up that when I googled this I found that there were a number of people who had had a steroid shot who had suffered from chronic hiccups well not yet it is a bonafide side-effect of a steroid shot but here’s the thing is that it also said they were like people who wrote in to forums and said I’ve gotten hiccups from a steroid shot but my doctor won’t acknowledge that as connected so pause there because that will we’ll come back to what you said but it did say it there was a study done in like some different some subjects went two or three days and some people went up to a ten day ten days of hiccuping straight ten days after after a couple hours if you have ever had all the prolonged hiccups spell you start to realize get painful and become a nuisance to your feelin that you the amp of the amplitude of your it goes like that senses once um so I was like well but there were two there were two different drugs that you could be prescribed to deal with it cups in that article and so I wouldn’t normally take a drug for the hiccups that just seems weird but um we called the doctor and then the nurse got on the phone and we explained the sir and she’s like no there’s no way it’s like well just tell the doctor the doctor says no there isn’t there’s no way it’s like what we’ve looked on the internet everyone on the internet says there is a way and it happens and he’s like okay I’ll give you the prescription but there’s no way it wasn’t me but he gives a prescription and I fill that but we had to shoot all day so that’s why in that one scene some of the scenes I was kind of staving it off a few times we kind of cut around it but it kind of it just became a part of that one scene with the biker guy who was driving the rover right it came in there he came in the right time but it didn’t stop and then that night I went to sleep and well I didn’t have the drug yet I got the drug the next morning so I woke up that night too got that took the pill the next morning and you’re supposed to take it every few hours or I don’t know every three hours or something but I took it over the course of the day hiccup but the hiccups didn’t go away but the drug that they prescribed to you was an anti-psychotic right I wasn’t psychotic you don’t know so I got that day right um and it took all but then that so then I’m like it’s not working I still have the hiccups and the next day was we were going to VidCon it I woke up that morning at VidCon hiccups were gone so it took a whole nother like 48 hours so i hiccup 20 minutes out of every hour for two minutes two and a half days here’s the interesting thing though because I understand disconcerning I understand why doctors in today’s I know why doctors do this but it just makes me a little suspect because it’s just like okay you never have ever had a hiccuping spell in your entire life like that and it was literally right after that and then there are other people who had the exact same experience clearly it was it was attached to it was connected to the thing but they can’t admit it I don’t want it because it could be like what if you have hiccups for the rest of your life then they get a malpractice lawsuit they can’t admit wrongdoing yeah yes that’s what it was yeah any complications I think they just have to be if it’s if I think there’s probably a protocol that if there’s complications that have been determined to be linked to that specific drug they can acknowledge it but if there’s anything else outside of this like small window of things are like nope it can’t be it definitely not related they probably all been trained we should ask our doctor friends no I’m not you’re friends with God and you know I’m still going to physical therapy and that’s going well my shoulder my shoulder is marginally better but it’s not eat another she’s not better enough I’m thinking about getting another shot like I’ve seriously considered it well how many how many weeks was a good after that shot less than a week that’s the thing it’s not worth it it’s not worth it but physically every stop and it’s just taking a while you know maybe it could take some you know over eight week 16
