Holy crap, McDonald’s brought back the Szechuan sauce. Here’s how you make it at home. Half cup of water, half cup of sugar, quarter cup soy sauce, half teaspoon sesame oil, quarter cup of white vinegar, two tablespoons of cider vinegar. Whoa, whoopsies! Half teaspoon garlic, half teaspoon ginger, teaspoon of corn starch, and whisk it up. Now I’m just guessing here, but let’s go quarter teaspoon of Szechuan pepper, quarter teaspoon of Chinese five spice, and a quarter teaspoon of white pepper. Now you just let it boil for about five minutes. We let the sauce cool down, and look at that gloopiness. Let’s see how we did, both nice and gloopy. Both vaguely brown, let’s taste the original. Lot of sweet, lot of soy, lot of ginger. Now the homemade. Nice and sweet, lot of soy, lot of ginger. This is identical, test it out. Make it for yourself. Let me know in the comments how it is.
