GMCL 21: Sick and Tired of It!

I’m sick let’s talk about that good morning chicken it is January 3 1 2 0 1 1 and it is a Monday and I’ve never felt better how you feel right feel like death you do I your are you is your are your lungs rattling or is that your phone on vibrate behind us get a call get a phone call okay somebody’s calling to tell you that you’re miserable and you’re sick and you should go home she’s in the bed hey you know this is this is probably folly on my part to be this close to you yeah I hope you had a great weekend I hope you didn’t come down on something I have been fighting something off but um I think well I think I’m succeeding and you’re failing yeah what you fought off I succumb to on Saturday morning I woke up to go do my weekly coaching job I coach my son’s basketball team I knew that something was wrong when I woke up but I said you know what I’m committed to this I’m a coach tuck my shirt in and I coach basketball so how much he get paid for for that I think you actually have to pay to do it I don’t get paid anything really I kind of feel like there should be like some sort of barrier in between I just don’t breathe in can you like put your X 10 minutes yeah just do that okay I don’t have SARS I can’t drink my coffee when it’s I you know I did a coaching job and then I went home and I was like this is just getting worse and worse and worse and in what started as I thought like a flu-like symptom turned into a stuffy nose turned into the beginnings of a sore throat last night and then I woke up yesterday morning and I felt like I had been in some sort of accident that involved head trauma at least like a medicine ball or like a young child or a weight like an 8 pound weight being dropped right here on my upper chest like the entire like taking a deep breath or the it’s just like some sort of upper respiratory thing and it got worse yesterday and then I woke up this morning and I felt worse than I did the previous day’s it’s getting worse and I said yeah I shouldn’t be this close to you you know what I’m going into work I’m going into work because I’ve got to do good morning Qi Ling Caen then I’m going to go home and here we are here we are here we are doing it so I got to stay here and keep working is that how this works well you know I have this desire to go home after after we do this and we do the intro to our video were releasing today on our main channel because I gotta admit I was pampered a little bit by my mom growing up you know my mom was a stay-at-home mom so it was like if I was if I was sick I could be like mama I’m sick and she’d be like okay son and she I could stay at home now I did I didn’t fake I wasn’t a faker and I didn’t get sick that often but I never had perfect attendance in a given year there was always at least one or two sick days and my mom would like give me some sprite I get all the I get on the couch she give me a blanket chicken noodle soup chicken noodle soup sprite and then after a while you’re like this is pretty good being sick like a spa and then she’d give me like a movie to watch I remember sitting there watching americantale just crying my eyes out about Fievel being lost just being sick just sitting there crying I don’t I don’t really remember being that sick growing up I mean my mom my mom had to work so I didn’t you know I couldn’t just say I was sick and and lay out of school whenever I wanted I mean I maybe that was a factor but or maybe I was just had such a robust immune system that you know I would you know I just perfect attendance was just part of my DNA I mean I think old honest I probably if I had to just there was very few times where I was so sick that I really couldn’t gone to school but I kind of carried that mentality over to the rest of my life so that you know when I got a real job out of school if I was sick I’d stay at home but ever since we started this this business you know we never we just work every day no matter what an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure you know then Franklin said that I think you know what that means if you feel a little sick you lay out one day so you don’t make it all your co-workers sick and you know you have to lay out for three days later but you know I think for me I didn’t I didn’t get that sick but the memories I do have of being sick as a child were being really sick like vomit sick like I would I my mom would set me up on the couch and you know she would give me the sprite or chicken noodle soup and I might have this had this sleeping bag and like a navy blue sleeping bag that had reindeer on the inside of his Snuggie of the 80s yeah and I would only I would only sleep in it when I was sick and I remember getting in my reindeer sleeping bag sick and vomiting that type of vomit that’s like projectile like across the room I remember vomit going from me and hitting the television I’d never happened I don’t believe you’ve never been really sick you’ve just been like Lola sick I’ve been I’ve gone all the way and I’ve returned to tell you about it what do you do when you get sick and what what are your expectations well you don’t have to have a sprite what is it about sprite and chicken noodle soup that’s supposed to be a cure-all is that is that it’s supposed to be ginger ale but kids don’t like ginger ale says well sprites kind of close is that an American thing I mean people in other countries and we know we have an international audience watching good morning Chia Lincoln a good afternoon or good night she a Lincoln wherever it is whatever time it is when you watch this what do you do when you get sick in other countries chicken noodle soup is that on the menu sprite the cure-all carbonated drink does your mom put on americantale probably not she might put on like Lithuanian tale which is the Lithuanian version of American tale which involves a Lithuanian mouse yeah lost in America and it should always be spelled ta le you don’t want lift the wing your tail spelled the other way don’t Google that yeah so we’re curious what you do and I’m curious what I’m gonna do the rest of the day without you here because I don’t want you to be here you know I don’t I don’t want to get your sickness I don’t want to I’m you know I’m definitely fighting this thing off you’re probably giving it to Chia Lincoln down here yeah I bet you I could eat some of that Chia or take some of that water that’s been stagnating inside of his head and would probably cure me you know like when cats and dogs get sick like Gia what they go outside they’re eating the grass you know that maybe you should do that go outside need some grass forget to sprite in the chicken noodle soup do you feel any better for a second there that’s not what’s got a lot of flavor actually you’re supposed to feed a cold Chia and starve a fever I think that’s the same feed a cold Chia starve a fever let us know what you think let’s check in with chia Lincoln no need to drag this out you know in the midst of your sickness I’m sorry I couldn’t have more energy people I’m sorry I’m sick speaking of low energy and disappointment and potential sickness oh boy Chia Lincoln is uh the sprouts are getting warbly yeah it’s like they’re there they’re getting crooked and they’re like they’re searching for life and not finding it anywhere especially on top this is the beginning of the end link and this is the end of Chia Lincoln Monday we’ll be back tomorrow or at least I will be or maybe you’ll be better and I’ll be sick I’m gonna get some rest I’m going to liquefy myself and like like like that guy from Terminator yeah I’m going to turn myself into a puddle of molten metallic stuff metal and go home see you tomorrow
