Zombies may actually be real soon let’s talk about that [Music] you [Music] good mythical morning not as you know this is Halla week we are halfway through hallow week and things have already got a little neck deep in hella week but things are gonna get even more sensitive I’m giving a little warning to those of you out there who may be a little bit more sensitive because anything serious I’m being serious because we’re gonna be talking about experiments to bring people back from the dead both people and animals in real life showing and talking about some of those experiments including showing some videos of animals being experimented on now if that if you’re sensitive that hey I don’t blame you and B you may want to skip this episode but if you want to embrace your inner Halloweeny then that that came out wrong but just hang off the world that’s where we’re going today and brother scientist link are getting closer and closer to making zombies yet to making zombies a real thing to bringing people back from the dead and we’re going to be talking about what they did in the past and what they’re doing right now let’s go back to the late 1700s with the gentleman named Giovanni aldini this is a guy who was actually the basis for dr. Frankenstein Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein yeah we mentioned this guy in an episode of their business we thought about weird experiment yeah link in the description if you want to listen to that so this guy basically started applying electricity to dead animals starting with dead frogs basically sounds like a middle school boy is very rare in the 1700s I mean this is advanced stuff and he started electrifying frog legs here’s an example of what that would have looked like this obviously is not from the 1700s this is like from you know recently why I got asked in the frog leg before they make it move so you can look more alive if it still had the skin makes me a little hungry it’s not really I’m not yeah I’m not hungry so okay he did this it moved but the leg wasn’t alive he did not understand the life force and didn’t understand how electricity was involved so he was like I’m doing this and it’s starting to move maybe I should just move from frog legs to actual humans so one of his most famous experiments is he actually had a recently executed criminal named George Forster and he brings George out for a public demonstration hooks him up to some electrodes he’s a dead criminal we can do anything to him in public applies the electricity to George and George’s jaw begins to move one of his eyes opens and he clenches his fist and he begins to move his legs and his thighs around really this is impressive stuff I pictured him doing Gangnam style I don’t know why well that was before this time that what didn’t exist that’s when it was invented but I do have I do have an idea or just something to propose to you if I die first or you die first can we make an agreement right now that we will let electricity be applied to our body so I mean I can see everyone when I open that could just be my thing it gets your fist going let me see this is a full audition now and can you speak or am I gonna have to pay a mime no I’m just there for the milk I’m with this just back out completely sergej Brooklyn Eagle Russian was very into experimenting on dogs back in the 1940s now the Soviets we’re doing lots of weird stuff back weren’t we all and they did this thing when weird stuff you may have seen this video because it’s been it’s been on the internet for a while really hooked a dog up to something called the Auto ejector which is basically an artificial heart and lungs machine it’s circulated blood and they na are hooked yeah he goes it was artificial heart and lung yeah so they hooked a dog’s head up I’m Sam let you watch it again look away if you don’t want to see this is just the head of the dolls the head of a dog hooked up to a machine oh my word there’s the two pumps now that’s a cartoon this is the actual ditch oh no now you may think now as you can see that dog’s head is biting a brush is responding to the stimulus it’s blinking its eyes genius lips that is just a dog’s head it’s responding to light it’s it’s it’s like a sleeping dog head that’s like licking peanut butter off a q-tip responding the Hammers they’re hitting the hammer next to it and make it move now this is a very difficult thing for many people including me oh my god to watch now that I have a dog but this last time I watch this it didn’t phase now there are there are there’s a controversy around this video because some people just can’t believe that it actually happened they can’t believe that it’s true they think it’s some sort of propaganda video but it’s actually not that far-fetched to think that at for at least for a period of time if you were to get a clean cut on a dog’s head and you were to hook it up to this machine that still provided blood flow yeah and oxygen that it could actually continue to function so and I personally think that it’s real they put peanut butter like on the dog’s mouth and where do peanut butter go they just slide out the back like it did I think it just dropped on the tape just slide on the day it’s recycle it but here’s the question for us here’s the question for us now well this Auto ejector for technology is not something that’s in use today but if you had to make a choice between no Jade or just Jade head what would you do I’ve thought about this in terms of Barbara already what would that’s not my favorite part of Jade what’s your favorite part like the body I mean I pet a body you want I’m gonna do I’m gonna do the inverse you just want a nice body I just want to pet the headless body but it’s gonna be hooked up to a machine yeah it’ll have like a robot head okay without I didn’t know that was that’s actually cooler I mean my dog Jade now has a robot head it wouldn’t be I mean just a like a head just like you bear gross I love her face in her ear but if you had to make a choice just the body I’m going for the body cuz more power just bark a lot but I think I go for the hit I love the licks I like the face laughs licked it put the head up and she licks them she licks the but she licks the face do with less you wouldn’t have a but yeah it’s great she could oh I tell you magnet Jade could not lick the button still lick my face this is only the beginning of the auto detector they actually also took blood out of a dog let it die for ten minutes and then brought it back to life a full dog whole dog head and all that’s also in the video you can watch that on your own and they live and then the dog lived a life yes let’s move on from dogs to hamsters into the 1950s and America James Lovelock began to take hamsters and freeze them in a negative five degrees Celsius bath for 90 minutes until a hamster sickles yes until he had hamster sickles and he would take a hot spoon and apply it to their chest to get their heart to stop to start beating again and he succeeded in doing this frozen hamster hot spoon brings the hamster back to life into this man this is his picture now this is him now just grand piling it up yeah yeah I mean look at that smile he doesn’t look like the guy who would like fries and FRA hamsters with a spoon well he was he did he was in his younger days and he also started to realize that he was hurting them as if he wasn’t already hurting the hamsters he was hurting the hamsters with the hot spoons and so he modified a radio transmitter to emit microwaves and began to microwave the hamsters back to life and he actually claims to be an integral part in the invention of the microwave so every time you have a freaking hot pocket think about those little hamsters well yeah there is the moral dilemma that also explains why there’s a hamster thaw button on my microwave now you always wonder what that was yeah now you know what the hamster button spork well I knew it was retard note I didn’t know why this does raise an interesting ethical question I don’t we can’t gloss over that point let’s not as people did this dude and other people like him did these experiments on innocent little animals but now you have endless hot pockets and little pies that you can warm up and even you I got right some breakfast sausage you get breakfast sausage and if you get it real quick because of some little hamsters how does that make you feel I mean there were years that I cooked exclusively in a microwave I would be dead if it weren’t for for these hamsters sacrifice okay well I’m about to make it even more personal link more current because right now as we speak there are companies revita life sciences and bio cork who are collaborating to bring humans back to life from the dead yeah there are people out there who are completely brain dead the definition of being dead in a hospital setting is when there’s no brain activity now you can of course continue to through a respirator ventilator and some other machines continue to keep people alive but they’re brain-dead so what they have done is they have 20 I’m not going to call them volunteers because these people cannot volunteer at this point hmm they have selected 20 people and they just recently in May of this year have gotten medical approval to begin experimenting with these people with injecting stem cells into their brains and then stimulating them with lasers and some other things to get them to begin to grow and regenerate the parts of their brain that are dead in the same way that like a salamander regenerates limbs or its tail they want to try to do that inside people’s brains and it’s happening right now now I don’t know how these people right here under the table know I don’t exactly know how these people were chosen for this because they basically said they had to find people who were who were organ donors prisoners no all right so just a heart on your driver’s eyes you got one of those I’ve seen it I got one of those I’ve seen it now but it’s a little bit more complicated they just said they went to the families and was there any like religious or moral or ethical reason that they didn’t think that these people should be subjected to this but it’s very controversial so I got some permission from families but they don’t have permission from these people who may have their brains regenerated and they may come back to life or some sort of half-life zombie state and they’re like I didn’t want this look at Who I am now with my crazy zombie brain is this happening right now well I’ll tell you I’ve lived a lot of life well I’ve lived the life that I lived I’ve lived a lot of life man and all the life that I’ve lived I’ve liked it I’d like to live in it really all of it and I think that when I die I’ll be like you I’d like to keep doing the life thing oh so you want me to inject the brain and do the lasers only but only if I knew that I was going to come all the way back like I want it I want it to be like like just an outpatient procedure okay and then I men but I don’t want to be in the experimental phase I got a real race I’m gonna like wide out my license that’s not what it’s for this organ donor organ donor donating you need that part of your brain stimulated yeah I don’t even bring it maybe maybe somebody’s got a got to be magnanimous enough to volunteer for this for this experimental phase but when it’s outpatient I mean okay what do you think what do you think about those hamsters and those dogs and what do you think about those people that may be coming back to some sort of
