(upbeat music) – Welcome to the dojo. – Is that where we are? – Yeah. – Mythical beasts, a few weeks back, we launched a community building exercise that was a little odd because it involved you winning a piece of me that I had detached, my mustache from Buddy System season two. Yeah, you know, I filmed the entire Buddy System season with a real mustache, I don’t know if you knew that. – It was real. – It was real. – Yeah, I saw a video of gluing it on every day. – I was very attached to it but then I shaved it off, and my challenge to you was, submit fan art that is Buddy System themed that depicts me, at least as part of it, my character, which was also me, but the character version, it’s weird. – Not that weird. – If you’ve seen Buddy System it makes sense. But without my mustache, so that when we pick a winner, I’m going to mail you my mustache so you can attach it to your artwork. We’ve chosen a winner and before we unveil that winner, we wanna show you some amazing runners up. First one’s from Kaitlyn, check this one out, there we are on our motorcycle and sidecar. I say it’s ours but it was technically yours. – And I like the way that she made it very clear where you’re supposed to attach the mustache. – [Link] Insert mustache here. – [Rhett] And she’s made the bottoms of my shoes look like peanuts, which I am especially fond of. – Let’s recognize Samantha’s entry here. – I recognize this one. – [Link] There’s a mustache there, but then it says glue here on top of it. – So I don’t know if that’s quite a rule violation or not. – It’s not. – It’s close. – It’s not, I love the color scheme, and this is from the Pour Some Coffee On Me music video. Very good entry. – She made you a redneck. – Link That’s my turtleneck, man. – It’s true, it’s within you. – [Link] This next one’s from Jill. – [Rhett] I love the different styles here. – This one’s cool because it combines season one and season two together. I’m half robot, but you’re painting me with glow-in-the-dark paint from the afraid of the dark music video. – And I’m very interested in my work, which is how I am, I’m like, “let me make sure I got the pelvis markings correct.” – [Link] Is that what you’re staring at, your work? – Yeah, your work, my work. – I hope so. – Because that’s not your body, man, that’s– – Right. – But I don’t want to say, I don’t even want to say, I don’t want to spoil what happens in episode seven. – [Link] Elana. – [Rhett] I like the way she kinda gave you a little bit of gray, you know? – [Link] That didn’t happen in Buddy System. – No, it did. – Because it was still colored. – Well this is fiction meets reality. – Fiction meets reality. I do love vanilla, I do not think it’s too spicy, in this hemisphere. And when I say hemisphere, I really mean – The universe. – This version of reality. This one is from Sarah, is that watercolor? I don’t know anything about art. – [Link] If you squint your eyes, even just a little, it could look like a photo. – Yeah, very photorealistic. – Was this a production photo we took, because that is the paint on the wall from the studio over there. – Do we have a leak? Do we have a leak? We will deal with that later. – [Link] The mustache is already there, though– – [Rhett] The mustache is already there. – It’s hard to want to add the mustache. – It’s incredible but that is technically a rule violation. – This is one of my favorites, almost the winner. – It was a tough decision for you, I know. – I’m sorry to tell you that. Jen, you did a great job with this Christmas ornament, and I would like one. Well, don’t make another one– – Don’t not give her first place and then ask her to make another one just for you. – (laughing) I’m sorry, Jen, and she pointed out that there’s a perfect spot for the mustache right above my mouth. And, whatever is not used could have been contained inside of the ornament, so this one was so close to winning. – But, the winner, we found a winner, an incredible piece of art. Link, why don’t you do the honors, since this is all your thing. – Congratulations to Sam, did this amazing poster. We printed it out here, this is painted on canvas I believe, and we were monitoring the progress of this thing as he was posting different iterations of it as it came together. And it’s really awesome, because it has all the different things that– – [Rhett] Basically every person that– – That my character did in the show. You know, even the animated version of me, and all of them have the mustache except for the one right in the middle with a nice unpainted spot. – [Rhett] Untanned, even. – It’s just beggin’ to have that mustache put on there. – Well break it out, break that mustache out, man. – I got it right here, Sam, and we’re gonna send it to you. Now on the envelope I put Link’s mustache, do not eat. But now ironically we’re gonna put it in the Stash Can, I’m gonna put it down in there. I’m gonna leave it inside of all the layers so that there’s no chance of it escaping through some sort of can hole. – Now I feel like I’ve just kinda been on the sidelines for this whole thing– – 210 calories, don’t eat it. – So, Sam, I wanna be a part of your project too. I’m not gonna shave my mustache, not gonna shave my beard, both too precious, and I recently got rid of all my chest hair, so… (razor buzzing) Okay, some just fell down. – There’s some right there. – Yup. – I mean, because mine’s still in the Ziploc bag, you wanna put it in the Stash Can? You wanna stash it away? – [Rhett] Just a little piece of me. – Not that you asked for it. – I put on deodorant this morning. – Smells like can.
