GMM 1248.2: French Press Bench Press I BLENDERCISE

(playful theme music) – Exercise hybrids are now a thing. People are taking two different things, and then making one ridiculous exercise out of them. There’s Pilates-boxing, which is called piloxing. There’s antigravity yoga, there’s karaoke cycling is actually a thing, and sitting on the toilet while tweeting at the same time. – Yes, the thing is is some of these hybrids have caught on and made people millions, so we were like, we gotta get in on that action. It’s time for, Blendercise. – Now I like to go to the gym first thing on most mornings, but when I roll out of bed, oftentimes I’m torn between going to the gym and just staying home and making a cup of coffee, sometimes that feels more important. Right, so we thought what if we take the time that you invest in making coffee, and incorporate it directly into your workout. So we got ourselves a bench press, we got ourselves a French press, and that means we’ve got a brand-new exercise, the French bench press. – To the workout zone. Since we are using a French press, we thought we would dress the part. – Ah, French man, I should have read that note more closely. – But you look fabulous. – And I’m very comfortable right now. – Alright, so, – I’m also six-10. – I’m gonna French bench press first. – Okay, so now we have a bench press, we have a French press on each side of the bench press. We have some coffee for weight, that’s just for weight, because the coffee is already in the bench press. Now Link go ahead and grab right here, and do your best, I’ll help guide the plungers directly into the French presses if you need any help. – Oh I got this. – That’s what I’m here for. (Link grunts) – Okay, pretty light, alright, I’m gonna go with this one over here, line her up. – You’re in. – And then line, – And you’re in, go down. – I’m pulling down, this is a new aspect that you usually don’t get with a press as much. Yeah, I’ve got it. – You all the way down? – I’ve bottomed out. – Okay, now come back up. – I’m fully pressed. (Link grunts) – This is where the resistance comes in. And return the weight. – Popped right out. – How do we look, did we make some coffee? – I think you did. – Nice, your turn. – Okay, modesty’s important to me, so I’m gonna make sure my skirt doesn’t show my– – Good idea, do not show your baguette. I have made un cafe. And because you’re going second, you get the benefit of my fruits of labor. As you’re lining it up, I want you to press your coffee, and then, take it down, feel that negative pressure. – Yeah, that’s real nice. – That’s good, feel the burn. And then hold on, as you bring it up, I’m gonna give you some fruits of my labor here. This is what you’re working for Rhett. Push, press, press. Oooh, lift the head.
