I feel like this is driving a wedge between me and my wife. As long as you’re not in the middle, I’m cool with it. (laughs) (upbeat music) – Good Mythical Morning. – Welcome to day two of the most exciting tournament on the internet that involves crappy candy bars. Yes, it is the battle to determine the worst candy bar of all time. And yesterday, four lame logs moved on to the quarterfinals. What stands out for you so far, Rhett? – The fact that you just said, “lame logs.” – Lame logs? (chuckles) – I mean, that’s pretty much what’s on my mind right now, ’cause you just said it. – All right. – Well, we’re gonna creep back into the lame log tunnel. It’s time for Creepy Candy Bar Crapfest, Day 2! – All right, take a look at our gargantuanly graphic, gorgeously gassy, gory candy bracket, and you’ll see the four crappy candy bars that have moved on to the quarterfinals so far are Baby Ruth, Heath, Payday, and Hershey’s Gold. – And today, eight new bars are battling out to join them in the tournament, that’s Zero- – [Rhett] Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme- – [Link] Yoo-hoo Candy Bar. – [Rhett] 100 Grand. – [Link] Chunky. – [Rhett] Lindt White Chocolate Bar. – [Link] Milky Way Midnight. – [Rhett] And Charleston Chew. – And of course, manning the board again today is John Wayne Chasey. – Oh gosh. Why? – You’re always to close! – Be at the board. – Be at the board, man. – Be at the board. – Go to the board, man. (thundering) – Kicking things off, we’ve got the 14 seed, with 4,728 votes, Hershey’s Cookie’s ‘n’ Creme versus the 3 seed, with 12,655 votes, Zero bar. – As we learned yesterday, Hershey’s doesn’t release a lot of candy bars. I was surprised that- – This one’s from 1994. This actual bar is from 1994, Link. – [Stevie] Do you guys remember that commercial when these came out? – No. It was a montage of people opening cookie jars to find the cookies weren’t there anymore because Hershey’s took all the cookies and put them in this bar. – That’s what happened to the cookies back in ’94. – [Stevie] But my cousin was one the people in the commercial and that’s the only reason I remember that. – Whoa, you got a famous cousin we didn’t know about? – [Stevie] Yeah, it’s true. – Did you show up at family reunions – I mean, actually, you’ve met her, but- – Or like mitzvahs or whatever? – Yeah, she was at all the mitzvahs. She would carry around the cookie jar like, “Ahh! That’s me! It was me!” – You did it, girl! You made it! – I was gonna say that- – [Link] It tastes good. – It taste good. – Why y’all hating on this? – It’s actually got a lot of salt in it. It has a lot of bite to it. And it does have… – Salt? It’s got 105 milligrams of sodium in it. That’s 5% of your daily value. Eat 20 of these and you don’t need to eat anymore salt the rest of the day. – Now, this is my wife’s favorite candy bar. So Christy, I love you, but she’s… she’s… She’s kind of on her own. I’ve never loved this thing. – I don’t even know what it is. – [Link] I don’t know what it is. Well, it’s white- – It sounds like a zero-calorie bar, with Coke Zero, something like that, but it’s not that. – No, what they’re trying to do is they tried to make you think that it’s a really cold bar. – Oh, man, I see the – It’s a caramel, – ice on it. – peanut, and almond nougat, covered with white… – Ice. – No, white fudge. And then if you look in the inside. – Oh, give me a break of that. – Yeah, you can take the bigger piece. So yeah, she loves this stuff. – So it’s like a Milky Way with white chocolate on it. – The almond nougat is very strong. – This is… you know what? Your wife and I- – It’s nasty. – Tend to like the same foods, right? – Yeah. – Things that have very specific tastes that are polarizing, we tend to fall on the same side of that argument every time. – Yeah, I mean, she likes tomatoes, she likes olives. I don’t know how she lives with me. – This is horrible, Christy. – It’s not good. It’s a bad taste. – This is a mistake bar. That’s what it should be called, mistake. (laughing) – Or you could just call it steak. – Okay, well, you know what? We’ll take that into a development conversation. – So the good news is, baby, is that this moves on, which means we’re keeping the Cookies ‘n’ Creme one, which technically, has no actual white chocolate in it. – It’s just oil. Woo! – Nice shot. John Wayne Chasey, move my baby’s bar on, which isn’t a good thing, but maybe I can sell it to her in that way. – Yeah, I mean, it’s really doing a good job in this tour-manent. (thundering) – Slanging their gloves together in the ring, we’ve got the number 11 seed with 5,404 votes, that’s 100 Grand bar versus the number 6 seed with 6,894 votes, the Yoo-hoo Candy Bar, which I have never heard of. – I’ve heard of the 100 Grand. I don’t actually know if I’ve ever tasted on of these. Now, this thing- – Oh, I have. There should be two in there, see? – There you go. – One for you, so there’s one for me. – That’s just 50 grand. Okay, this came from the success of quiz shows in the 1950s. There was actually a show called “The Big Surprise,” and winners would win 100 grand. so when it first came out, it was called the $100,000 bar. You can see the one on the left is the American version. And then, they released a separate one in Canada. And the only thing they changed was a little bit of French and the boy changed. That’s a Canadian boy. – Me and my mom went through a period where we would eat these. – This isn’t bad at all. It’s crispy on the outside. – It’s Nestle Crunch, you got the Rice Krispies, and then you got a nice, solid bar of caramel right there in the middle. – But the Yoo-hoo bar, that’s news to me. – First of all, this thing is yoo-hoo-huge. – Why is it so big? – It’s big as an entertainer’s face. – Why you gotta put it on your face before you hand me a piece of it? – You want eyebrow piece, or- – I want the furthest away from your mouth. But I hit your forehead with that piece. Look how little care went into the design. – There’s nothing- – It’s like this is a preliminary- – [Stevie] I thought you said “little hair,” like little hair from Link’s forehead. – Look at how much little hair went into the design. – Okay, here’s the deal. Full bar, 690 calories, it’s got 3 servings in it. That’s why it’s so huge. But it’s made by the RM Palmer company, which is that same company that makes all the chocolate Easter bunnies. – I was gonna tell you, it tastes exactly like an Easter bunny, and I didn’t know that. In a bad way. – The coins and the bunny use milk chocolate and whole milk and vanilla. The Yoo-hoo bar has coco with skim milk, so it’s actually not exactly the same. – But it tastes, in my mind, is super reminiscent of that waxy… just flavorless chocolate. I don’t even like Yoo-hoo to begin with, but- – I agree, man. This right here has magical layers to it. We need to keep this for ourselves. Can I? – Oh, sure. – Even though it’s on your side? – Yeah, well, yeah. You need some practice. – [Both] Yeah! – Which means the Yoo-hoo bar moves on. Look at him go. – [Rhett] I think he’s sad about that. – [Link] Look at him plop it on there. – [Rhett] I think he’s a big fan of the Yoo-hoo bar. Aren’t you a big fan of the Yoo-hoo bar? He’s hard to read. He’s hard to read. – Yeah, just don’t look at him. – Yeah, we shouldn’t even ask him questions. (thundering) – Quick reminder, check out the Mythical Kitchen channel. Josh, Nicole, and Trevor are always making crazy stuff over there. And every Thursday, they include a written recipe in the channel descriptions, so you can make mythical dishes in the comfort of your own home, as opposed to wherever else you might be tempted to make dishes. – Just in the yard. – Also, this week on “A Hot Dog is a Sandwich,” they’re podcast, Josh and Nicole are debating is chocolate candy? So let them know where you stand using #opinioncasserole once you figure out how to spell casserole. – Yeah, you can do it. All right, next we got the 7 seed with 6,770 votes, Lindt White Chocolate bar, versus the 10 seed with 5,521 votes, Chunky. – Chunky, Chunky. – Now, Lindt is a very respected name. – Tell me about it. – Both in your belly button, but also in the world of chocolate. – Tear off corner, pull end out. – And you know why it’s so respected? Because Rodolphe Lindt basically, according to the facts that we have, we might have alternative facts, but the facts that we have say- – According to our facts. – That he invented, basically invented the process called “conching,” which takes chocolate from a liquid, which it used to be, basically, consumed as a liquid until the late 1800s. And then he invented this process that made it into the bars that we enjoy today. – Oh, wow. – And this is Lindt’s White Chocolate offering. – Break that off. It didn’t break evenly, and it- – And it’s on the ground. – It drops. So it doesn’t give you an even break. See, mine did. You just gotta know where to push. – That’s good, man. – Is this real white chocolate, right? – If Lindt’s not making real white chocolate, who is, dude? – Well, the Hershey’s Cookies ‘n’ Creme is not white chocolate. – This is white chocolate. – I like it too. I mean, I’m expecting to not like it because I mean, you guys are voting on it. But over here, we got Chunky. So the big square, four-quadrant, oh my gosh. – Looks like it got melted. – Yeah, in the mail. All right, so this is- – Nope, I melted them all. – We cannot hold this against Chunky. I know what this thing is supposed to look like, and I think when it was delivered to us, it sat outside in the Burbank heat. It’s like four quadrants and you can pull it apart. – You can find the original crevice. There you go. This has got raisins and nuts in it. – Cashews, brazil nuts, raisins, and milk chocolate. – I like this too. – The ’80s jingle was, and I quote, “You gotta open wide to get a Chunky inside.” (crew laughing) Their words not mine. – How long did they stick with that? – This is nasty tasting. I don’t like… – You don’t like the raisins? – I don’t like the raisin in it. – I like the raisins. – And you know what? I don’t think I like cashews either, which my wife loves. You love cashews? – I like nuts. – I don’t know, I just feel like this is… This is driving a wedge between me and my wife. As long as you’re not in the middle, I’m cool with it. (laughing) I don’t like cashews and I don’t like raisins. – Open wide, I’ll keep my chunky outside. (laughs) – You better. You better. But this is good, we gotta keep this for ourselves. – Yeah, I gotta say, the Lindt Bar is better. – Even though you like… – I went with two hands just for the hell of it. – It’s a little wide. So Chunky sucks, and moves on. – He’s just, you know, he doesn’t seem to care anymore. – He’s not hurt himself. That’s a good thing. There we go. – Okay, makes sense now. (thundering) – For our final matchup of the day, we’ve got the number two seed with 13,715 votes, the Charleston Chew, which I’ve never had, versus the number 15 seed with 4,549 votes, Milky Way Midnight. So Charleston Chew- – It’s got a backboard as well. – Yeah, it does. – I think you just sort of… just grab it. I’m assuming it’s chewy. – Oh, my goodness. What is that, marshmallow? What’s in there? – Flavored nougat wrapped in rich chocolatey coating. So it’s very simple. – Very chewy, and this nougat is more like taffy. – Oh, wow. It says- – What comes in other candy bars? – Try frozen on the thing, so hey, we’re anything if not compliant. Is that how you say that? – We’re everything but compliant, except for right now. All right, so same thing, except frozen. I can already tell you that it’s breaking off different. – Oh! – Whoa! – That’s way better! – It’s like a icy crunch. – That’s actually good. Well, then you start tasting it. – And then it just tastes the same. – It’s fun at first, and then you taste it and you’re like, “Oh, it’s not that fun.” – But my problem with the Milky Way Midnight is that, I mean, I’ve seen this thing on shelves, and something about the packaging, I’ve just never wanted to try it. In 1936, ’cause this thing has been around, it was originally called the Forever Yours bar. In 1989, it was called Milky Way Dark. And then, in 2000, they changed it to Milky Way Midnight. – [Rhett] It’s been around that long? – [Link] Yeah. – Can I have some of it? I like these. – You’ve had one? – Yeah, you get a Milky Way Dark every once in a while in a variety pack. – Baby, that’s dark. Look, you can’t even see it anymore. Oh, and look at that snowy white nougat inside. – What’s not to like about this? – This is a Milky Way that doesn’t taste right. It’s turnt, it’s a turnt Milky Way. – I gotta say that I’m a fan of dark chocolate, but- – This is not good. – Something about that- – But this is horrible. I don’t know, I’m tempted… I’m not disappointed in that. But, the packaging sucks. – But did you try it frozen? Did you try it frozen? – I tried it frozen. This is an actual disappointment ’cause I actually had expectations. – I think the Charleston Chew is a special kind of bad that deserves to move on. – Yeah. – This is just a Milky Way that’s a little bit dark. I mean, you can hate on that that much. I feel like that’s unwarranted. – I understand why this could be on a shelf. Seeing that on a shelf, I’m like, how in this age could this still be happening? – This needs to go somewhere and die. – So we’re gonna keep the Milky Way Midnight for ourselves. – Whatever. – And that’s gonna move on. – Charleston Chew is moving on. Hey, John Wayne Chasey, are you okay? He’s sitting down. Are you stretching? – [Link] I’ve never seen a clown move so slow. It’s like a sloth clown. – Yeah, Charleston Chew, put it up there, please. Thank you. He’s really not as motivated as we was earlier. – He’s losing steam. But we’re not because we’re about to combine all these tomorrow to crown the absolute worst candy bar ever. And you think you might know what it is, but I mean, I don’t. – Come back and see which one it really is. – Thank you for subscribing and clicking that bell. – You know what time it is. – Hi, I’m Rhett. – And I’m Link. – And we’re about to go trick or treating in Atlanta, Georgia. – And it’s time to spin the Wheel of Mythicality. – Hey, daddies. – Oh, yeah! (laughing) – Do you think – Hilarious. that their names are really Rhett and Link, or do you think that’s a Halloween costume? – As long as they get candy, I’m staying out of it. – Click the top link to watch us guess if the creepiest survival stories are real or fake in Good Mythical More. – And to find out where the Wheel of Mythicality is gonna land. – Are you gonna smack it? – Yeah, yeah. – [Nicole] Yeah! – You wanna do it? – Yes, I do. – Yeah, this is called… nothing. This isn’t a thing. – Oh! (laughs)
