GMM 2222: Match The Flavor To The Oreos (Game)

Do we know where every Oreo flavor go? – Let’s talk about that. (uplifting theme music) (yolk glubbing loudly) (UFO whirring rapidly) (flame igniting suddenly) “Good Mythical” summer. – Now if you hit that search bar and type “‘GMM’ and Oreos,” you know what you’re gonna find out? You’re gonna find out that we seem like we love some Oreos! Some might even say we have a problem with Oreos, we’ve eaten so many Oreos on this show. And you might even think that we’ve tried every Oreo that there is. – But, we have not. When it comes to Oreo flavors, there is a never-ending stream of new flavor innovations- – Uh-huh, that’s right. – Happening all around the world every single day. So today, we’re not only tasting some of the most hard to find Oreos, but we’re also attempting to find these flavors by using our memories. It’s time for… ♪ Memory Flavor, Memory Flavor, Memory Flavor, Flavor Match ♪ Oreos. – So we’re gonna taste an interesting Oreo in every round, and not only will we need to identify what flavor that is, but then we have to locate it on our beautiful flavor memory board. – Whoa! Behind each number on this lovely board, manned by the lovely Channa Hite. Hello, Channa. – Hello, Lat. – Hey. – Like you know, Channa is Vanna, Lat is Pat? – Link. – Lat, yes. Lat and Rat, the two Pats. – Under each number are images of every Oreo flavor we’re about to taste, plus some decoys. Whoever wins gets to become the dashing and brainy Oreo Prince Rememberington. – Mmm. – [Stevie] Alright gentlemen, please direct your attention to the board. You will have 20 seconds to look at all of your potential flavor options in their locations. And remember, these are the spots for the entirety of the game, so play and pay close attention. – Okay. – [Stevie] Channa, please start revealing the flavors. – Oh, carrot cake, bubble gum- – Shh, don’t do that. (“Mythical” crew laughing amusingly) Grape ice cream. – [Stevie] Your 20 seconds begins now. (clock ticking gently) – There’s a lot on here! Firework. – [Stevie] Your time is up. (horn blowing loudly) – Oh gosh! – I’m not confident, I’m not confident. – What do you think I am? – I was trying a new technique, and I only got through five and I can’t remember any of them. (“Mythical” crew laughing amusingly) (introductory string music) Some Oreos, man. – Okay, it looks like a normal Oreo. Nope, it’s a little greenish, greenish, greenish. (Oreo crumbling loudly) – Hmm. – That’s subtle, you know? – It’s pretty good. – [Stevie] I know we’ve talked about this before, but like are you eating the Oreos in this way to taste as much as possible, or is this representative of your personal Oreo consumption technique? – I would never do what I just did (“Mythical” crew laughing amusingly) if I wasn’t playing this game. – I don’t know what I do, Stevie. – Who goes first, Link? – [Stevie] You just kind of black out? – Yeah, I just kind of black out every time I see an Oreo. – [Stevie] Yeah, so Rhett, you’re going first of course ’cause you’re taller. So, please. – You were better at this last time. Whatcha thinkin’? – I don’t wanna say what I’m thinkin’. – Alright, well then just- – But, I’m gonna say five. – Well, I’ll tell you what I’m thinking. There’s like a mintiness to it. I remember there being a mint. I think I also remember a matcha though. I think this is matcha. Matcha do about nothin’ when it comes to my memory. Where was the matcha? Oh gosh, was it eight or nine? I’m gonna go with nine? Come on, matcha! – [Stevie] Alright, let’s go ahead and reveal what Rhett has chosen- – What did you think five was before it turned around? – Mint. – [Link] Oh, you’re thinking mint? – Yes! – Oh, it is Moroccan mint. – My technique worked. I don’t know if I’m right, but I did mean to choose it. – Is this matcha? – Java chip? – No! – (Rhett laughing gently) I doubt that’s right. – It’s not java chip. – [Stevie] And the correct flavor was matcha. – Aw! (buzzer blaring negatively) – Yeah. – [Stevie] Which is in spot number eight. – Gosh, I was so close! Oh, that was the only one I knew! – Yeah, I was like, “I think maybe I’m just tasting mint because it’s green.” Well that’s kinda purdy, isn’t it? – It is. – It was tasty and it was refreshing. – Where is this from? – [Stevie] China. – Oh, that explains the Chinese writing. That is good! I didn’t know this existed. – I don’t remember seeing this on the board. I’m thinking two things here is this like a pumpkin spice? It is kinda… Or is it… – [Stevie] So Stevie, I wouldn’t do this if I was just alone with an Oreo. – Alright, I have another answer. I’m not gonna say it and I’m gonna say number one. – Well Link, you are right, it is number one and it is carrot cake. That’s also my guess. – I was thinking carrot cake. – I remember number one ’cause I spent the most time on it. – Just looking up there – One! – [Stevie] Guys I’m so proud of you, let’s turn number one around. – We were right about- – Carrot cake. – That’s carrot cake, bro. – [Stevie] You were correct all around, these are carrot cake flavored Oreos from right here in the USA. – That is really good! Like that might be the best new unexpected flavor of Oreo that I’ve ever tasted. – It’s very accurate. And you know what? A good carrot cake’s hard to find, but once you get one- – It can be some of the best cake you’ve ever had. – You know, marry it. – [Stevie] Is the icing inside like cream cheesey? – Yes, it’s cream cheese icing! – [Stevie] Ooh, that’s what I was wondering. – Can I take these home? – [Stevie] Yeah. (introductory string music returns) – This one’s like a combination of the last two rounds. You’ve got what appears to be a normal Oreo cookie, but a speckled orangeish brown. – Mmm. That was good. You learn a lot from the inside because in this case, I think the outside is just regular. – Yeah, that’s why I’m eating it separate for that reason. – I’m also eating it separate for that reason. – But when you put it together, this is a good one. But you have to go first and I can’t say anything. – Number nine. – Alright, now I’ll say somethin’. (“Mythical” Crew laughing amusingly) This is a coffee flavored icing- – Oh you think? – But, there’s like some dark flecks in it that were reminiscent of chips. I’m gonna say this is java chip, and yeah, we’ve seen that at number nine. – Ah, dang it! – [Stevie] Okay, now y’all are getting too good at this. Let’s reveal number nine. – Java chip. – Damn. (bell dinging correctly) – Just because I guessed it wrong the first time, you know, if it weren’t for that- – Yeah, if you had not… ‘Cause I don’t know any of the bottom row, I don’t know any of the bottom row. – And look, here they are in all their glory. – It’s pretty good, but- – I’ll just let Miley eat that. (Rhett imitating eating sounds) (“Mythical” crew laughing amusingly) – It looks like she’s busy with pizza, man. (introductory string music returns) Blonde. – Another blondie! It looks like peanut butter, but it tastes like- – Apple pie. – Now, I didn’t see it. – Apple strudel. – I did not see an apple pie ’cause I didn’t get that far. – I wish you wouldn’t have said apple pie because I don’t remember that either. – This is good. – I’m trying to find something else besides apple pie. I don’t remember any apple thing. – I don’t know what the bottom row and I don’t know most of the middle row except nine and eight. So by process of elimination- – It’s my turn. Oh, go ahead. (“Mythical” crew laughing amusingly) – I shouldn’t have said that though. Yeah, there’s a lot… I mean, I’m thinking the exact same thing you are. Where’s a part of the board I never looked at? 15! – [Rhett] I’m pretty confident that’s not correct. – So what’s your guess, besides not 15? – 13. – [Stevie] Alright, let’s see- – Blind guess! – Kinda luck of the draw here. – [Stevie] Let’s see what Link guessed. – [Link] What did I guess? Apple pie? – Caramel. – Caramel. – Yup, I do remember that. – Oh, it could be caramel. – It’s not. – Oh, firework! – Firework. – I remember that. – I doubt that it’s firework, and that’s the first time I’ve seen that. – [Stevie] So these are apple cider donut flavored Oreos from the US. – Donut. (buzzer blaring negatively) That’s what threw us- What’s an apple cider donut? – Hold on, is that in the top? – [Stevie] Yeah, that’s in the top. – That’s number four! – [Stevie] That’s behind number four. – God dang it! Dang it, I thought number four… Number four is the only one at top I couldn’t remember. – What is that? It’s a donut made with apple cider? – [Stevie] Yeah, duh. – It’s pretty dang good. Not a good carrot cake though. – Nah. (introductory string music returns) Dark cookie with a purple lavender looking icing. – Wow, that is a unique flavor. – I think that cookie is regular. – That is a- – Very sweet. – That really grabs hold of your tongue. – Even for icing. – Does things with it. – There’s a mintiness to it, isn’t there? Like, the aftertaste is like- – Refreshing. – Refreshing. What is that? – Man. – Refreshing lavender. – Refreshing lavender. This one might be the bottom row. But, I’m feeling number two. – And you’re acting like you don’t know something. – Huh. – That number two is grape. You think it’s grape. I remember number two is grape. – We’re both pretty rememberable today. – Yeah, but I remember there was another one that I thought could be purple, and I think that was under number 14. I wanna make sure it’s grape. Yeah, it’s grape, number two. – Dang it! – [Link] Yup, it’s grape. – Ice cream to be specific. – Oh, ice cream! – [Stevie] Reveal number two. – Yeah! – [Stevie] No! – It’s not? – [Stevie] It’s blueberry ice cream Oreos from Indonesia, behind spot 14! – Oh, dang it! Dang it, Link, you should have gone with it. – It was blue though. I never saw blueberry ice cream, but I’ve seen it now and it’s pretty good. – Yeah. – A little strong though. – It tastes a little grape. – It tastes just like grape when you think it’s grape. (introductory string music returns) – Alright, it all comes down to this round for the crown. – Oh, this is an interesting. Oh, golly. – We’ve got some sort of sprinkles in here. – Look at all the things… That looks like and it smells like- – A certain annual celebration. – Yeah, it’s obviously birthday cake. – Of course, you know what else this looks like? It looks like another type of celebration, a colorful menagerie of ignition in the skies. Could this be the illustrious firework under number 13? 13. – I know that firework is under 13. – Yeah, I just told you that. – No, ’cause that was turned over. I’ve actually doing a good job of remembering the ones that got turned over. I’m not doing a good job of remembering the ones I didn’t see ever. – Yeah, was there a birthday cake? There was not. – This is risky because if I say 13, then we just tie ’cause we’re tied. – And we go into sudden death. That could be fun. – And you get to go first on sudden death. – Oh I mean, do you think I’m right? – The fact that I haven’t seen a birthday cake, but I didn’t look at half the board, makes me very unsure. – I think there could have been a birthday cake, honestly. Now I’m feeling like I did see one. – The fact that I would be doing a blind guess on something that I don’t even know is up there, and firework makes sense, I’m gonna also say firework and send us to sudden death. I did not see birthday cake. It’s firework. – [Stevie] Alright, well let’s reveal firework ’cause we know what that is. And then, we’ll also reveal- – It has to be right. – [Stevie] That you are- – It sounds like that wasn’t right. – [Stevie] Both incorrect. – Dang it! – [Stevie] Because it is birthday cake flavored Oreos from the US. And so, we’re going into sudden death. So Link you, go ahead first, pick a number, we’ll reveal, and go back-and-forth until one of you gets it. (gently pensive music) – I think it is number 10. I think I did see it over there. – [Stevie] Let’s go ahead and reveal. – Yes! – Dang it! (Link laughing happily) Whoo! (Link humming victoriously) ♪ Wear the crown ♪ – Okay, I didn’t get to guess, but whatever! – Would you have guessed that? – No, I was gonna say seven. (“Mythical” crew laughing amusingly) – I miss you, Alton Brown.
