He shoots. He scores! Bargain basement prices. – Let’s talk about that. (upbeat theme music) – Good Mythical Morning. – If you’re anything like me, then you’re a former kid, and if you’re a former kid, then you know there are three universal playground rules. – No peeking when you’re “it” during hide and seek. – Yeah. “He hit me first.” – And “ball don’t lie.” – But maybe, ball do lie sometimes. Today we’re combining the game of basketball with the game of comparing cheap items against their ridiculously expensive counterparts. It’s time for: Price-Ketball: Rhett versus Link. – Welcome to the GMMBA Zone. – Oh, I like that. Okay, we’ve got two handheld vacuums here. One is cheap, one is expensive. We don’t know which one is cheap and which one is expensive. – No, we don’t. – But we’re gonna be making our guess as to which one is which by putting the one we think is the expensive product’s balls in the high hoop over here- – [Link] Ho-oh! – And which one we think is the cheap product’s balls in the lower hoop, okay? And that’s the only way that you can earn points. – [Link] And they’re both worth one point, the high and the low. – Right. And the winner will be named a GMMBA All-Star and get to keep the coveted jersey. There’s a jersey! – What! – Ha ha! Yeah! – Oh, and then wear it until the next time we do this? – Yeah, every day, nonstop. – Unless I’m so good that I blow you out and you never wanna play again. – Yeah, that could happen. – Let’s test these vacuums. – Anything could happen. – Let’s start over here. – [Rhett] Well, this one, it could be a thermos, but it’s not. – [Link] Look, yeah. (vacuum humming) – Well, I mean… You could suck me, or you could suck this, man. We got some… What is this? Shavings. And, of course, we got some little- – This is a wild night out. – Little wieners. – Ope! – Oh, it’s really doing a good… Okay, we clogged it. – “We”? You clogged it. – See if it’ll suck a wiener. – Well, gotta get the… Suck that out. Don’t blow it out. – You want me suck sawdust? – We’ve already broken this one. – Okay, turn it back on. – We didn’t even get a wiener. – See if it’ll grab that wiener. It won’t even grab a wiener. – Nope, nope, nope, nope. Oh! Okay. – It looks expensive. – Let’s try this one. This one’s greener. – Smaller. (vacuum humming) Whoa! – It’s like, it’s blowing! – The end… Well, mine does the same thing. – You gotta keep that end… Will it go higher? Nope, it’ll just turn off. – It’s got one speed? – I turned it off. – Let’s start with a wiener on this one. – Okay. Oh, there’s a light. – I’m just gonna hold it very loosely. (vacuum humming) – Nope. All right, what about this stuff? – Most people don’t suck up their Vienna sausages. – Now, this right… Sucking up this stuff… Ope, yeah, it’s clogged. It’s clogged now too. – Neither one of these things is made to do a job of this size. I mean, I think we’ve just… (vacuum powers down) – All right. – I’m just gonna get a… – Do you have a… Yeah, I… – I mean, I have a guess, yeah. – Well, we just broke both of ’em, so now let’s shoot some hoops, shall we? All right. – [Stevie] Okay, guys, you have 45 seconds to score as much as you can, and remember that if you guess incorrectly, you don’t get any points. Your time starts when the refs- – So, uh, uh… Yeah, that’s right. So we can hedge our bets. – Oh, yeah. – By throwing at the one we think is wrong to… Okay, I’m ready. – No, you can’t grab a ball. – Sorry, Stevie. – You can’t grab a ball yet. – You were saying? – [Stevie] Your time starts when the refs blow their whistles in three, two, one… (whistles tweet) (energetic music) – Okay, it seems like we’re agreeing. And it seems like neither one of us are making anything. Yes! Swish! (Link grunts) – Gotta do some bet hedging now. – [Link] I’ll do a little hedging. – [Rhett] Shoot! – The hedge betting does… (buzzer honks) – Aw, man! So it seems- – I got one hedge bet. – It seems like we agreed- – This was the more expensive. – This one’s more expensive. ‘Cause it’s so much heavier. – It’s heavier, it’s heavier. – That’s really what it came down to. – You gotta pay for those parts. – [Stevie] The vacuum on the red podium is the Turbotube 2 car vacuum, which retails for 319, that’s $319, making it the expensive item. – Yes. – [Stevie] And the cheap vacuum on the blue podium is an Amazon cordless handheld vacuum which retails for 13.92. – I’d say they worked pretty consistently bad on our wiener test. – Yeah, we over-wienered it. – [Stevie] Yeah, I don’t think either one is a wiener vac or a shop vac. Refs, how much did these guys score? – Well, Link, you got four points. – That’s all? I threw so many. – Rhett, you got 11 points. – What? (crew laughing) – I’ve done this before. – What… (Chase laughs) – All right, it’s the sunglass round. – Which is why we have headlamps and eye charts. – Ready to be cool? – So you need to hold this eye chart. And I’m gonna read that. And then, I’m ready to be cool. And now you’re gonna- – [Rhett] Hey, you look super cool, man. – You’re gonna… Where’s the… Where’s my… Where’s my switch? There it is. – You’ve never looked cooler. – Neither have you, man. You look so freakin’ cool. – Here, here’s your eye chart. – All right. – You know, just two buddies hanging out, shining lights into each other’s sunglasses. Um… – T Z C O. – P F Z O D T E L. – [Link] Hold on, what line are you on? – The bottom line. – P F… – Pfodtel. – Pfodtel. – Pfodtel. – [Link] And then the one above it. – [Both] Ldczote. – All right, let’s switch. – Okay. How do you feel about those? – These are purple and cool-lookin’. – Look, these have like miniature glasses for somebody else inside. – What is that? – [Rhett] Just in case you want to put your baby in ’em. – Baby glasses inside of it? – Why are there baby glasses inside? – And they don’t come out, either. That’s wild. – I feel like I can… – I’m blinded a little more now. – Yeah, I can see better outta these. Pfodtel. – Etodcfo. – Ptocet. – Zlpedtc. – Ldpof. – All right, so we learned some Swiss, I think. – That’s definitely Swiss. Okay, closer inspection. These don’t have the baby glasses inside. – I’ma put these back over here. But they’re both wery… Very well constructed. – They’re both wery, wery expensive. – Man, I’m just wary of the basketball shooting part, ’cause my strategy was bad last time. – It was. – I was throwing whatever ball I could get my hands on. And you were concentrating on just one hoop. – I won’t do that this time. Because I’m also much less certain. – [Stevie] Your 45 seconds starts in three, two, one… (whistles tweet) – Oh, so we… Are we agreeing again? (energetic music) See, ’cause I think this one… Nope, I think the blue is more expensive. So we disagree. – Whoa, really? – Yep. – Okay. Well, then I’m gonna hedge my bets a little bit. Whoa, Link! (buzzer honks) – Aw! – Okay. – Man! – [Rhett] You made a bunch at the end. (Link groans) – I really tried. So I thought this one was more expensive. – I thought this was one was the more expensive, but during the middle, I completely just started taking balls and putting ’em into hoops. – [Stevie] The sunglasses on the red podium are the Extremus Matterhorn Polarized Cycling Sunglasses which retail for $9.99, making them cheaper. The expensive sunglasses on the blue podium are SunGod Vulcans, which retail for $230. – What! – Wow. – What about the baby glasses? – $230? – [Stevie] Yep. So what’s the score this round, refs? – Rhett, you got five. – Ha! – And Link, you got eight. – Yes! – All right, okay. – I’m creeping back into it. – Creeping. – Oh, so this is the headache round? – Yeah, I was about to say. You’re at a disadvantage ’cause you’re gonna get a headache. – Well, just spray it on this paper. And don’t spray me. Get it close. – You don’t wanna get too close. Haven’t you been to the mall, man? – No, who is the Mall Man? – Well, it’s me on Saturday. (chuckles) – All right, so that goes there. – Actually, I hate the mall. If you see me at a mall, just know that I’m hating life. – All right, so pick that up. I’m gonna spray it. – Golly, that smells like fruit. – No. It doesn’t. It smells like perfume. And when it’s like fruity lotion stuff, that doesn’t give me a headache. – Yeah, but it has a lot… I mean, it smells like fruity perfume though. This one smells like… Ooh, that smells like maybe I should wear it. – No, it smells like- – It’s got like some wood notes. – It’s totally different. Yeah, I think- – I mean, they’re not mimicking each other. – No, this is a cologne. Colognay. – Colognay. – Uh, I can tolerate this. At first I started- – You want some on your turtleneck? – No. I thought it stunk, and now I like it better. And this is the only one that’s giving me a headache. Ugh. – It’s giving you a headache. Okay. Does cheap give you a headache? What’s your experience with that? – Well… – Do you think you know which one’s more expensive? – I just think perfume gives me a headache and lotion doesn’t. – You want some lotion on your turtleneck? – Lotion is less expensive. – You want some lotion under your- – I don’t want anything on my turtleneck! – Okay! I’m just, I’m asking. – And then, uh… Shoot. – Man, I don’t know, man. Let me see if they mist in the air differently. Let’s watch ’em side by side as they fall. – Well, they’re both in generic misters. – Well, let’s just watch ’em as they fall. (bottles hiss) – Same. – There’s no difference. – [Stevie] Your 45 seconds starts in three, two, one… (whistles tweet) – Oh! Okay, okay! (Link grunts) – [Link] Oh! (energetic music) Come on now. – [Rhett] I don’t know… – [Link] Come on now! – [Rhett] What in the world? – [Link] Ope! I knocked yours in! Yes! (energetic music) (Rhett laughs) (buzzer honks) See? (laughs boisterously) I had to play a little defense there. And did you see that one of the times I knocked you out, and then mine went up and went in. – And then went in. Yeah, that was pretty awesome. – That’s called a two-point swing. – So you thought this one was more expensive. – Yes. But at a certain point very early, I said, “Who am I kidding? I don’t know.” Whatever ball I had, I threw in the little one, until I started blocking you. – Okay. – Man, I’m outta breath. Why am I out of breath? – [Stevie] The perfume on the red podium is Bath & Body Works’ A Thousand Wishes, which retails for $8.50, making it the cheaper perfume, and the expensive perfume on the blue podium is Le Labo Santal 33- – Oh, Number 33. – Which retails for $215. – Whoa, we spent some money in the air a second ago. – I mean, is it… It’s crazy to spend that much more money on just like a mist that goes on your body for a few hours. – I mean, just watch. Look. This is like- – Don’t do that anymore! – This is like a three-cent spray. And this is like 50-cent. That’s 50 cent in the air right there. – [Stevie] Refs, how did they do? – Link, you got four points. – Nice. – Rhett, you got five. – Okay, look at us. – We both sucked. – Look at us. Look at us. You know what, it’s election day, and if you are in the United States of America, we are encouraging you to go out and vote! – Yes! You can do it. It’s very important, and if you need to get informed last-minute… In some states, you can still register last-minute. You can go to the website we created, VoteLikeABeast.com to get yourself in order, and then get out there and do it, yes! – Get yourself in order and go. – Wear that sticker proudly. Stevie? – Okay, for your final round, we have commissioned custom digital portraits of you both. One cost a whole lot more than the other. So go ahead and reveal the red podium. – [Link] Okay. – [Rhett] That’s us after we got vasectomies and we cuddled. You remember that? – No, but I don’t remember any of it. We got the peas. I can’t see though all of your hair. And, of course… It’s a digital thing, right? We just like printed it ourselves, or… – A digital portrait. – Quality is not part of it. That is really good. – [Rhett] I mean, this is well done, and it’s signed by someone. – See, and if you look at the signature, it’s very ornate. All right, let’s take a look a this one. – I gotta say, I’m pretty impressed. – What do we have here? – Okay, so this is like a Rick and Morty version of us. – That’s pretty cool. I like this one a whole lot more, just being honest. But is it easier to do? Is it less expensive? Where’s the signature on this one? – Uh… – There’s not even a signature. – Okay, signature-less. Do you think you’d know which one is more expensive by looking at it? – See, but if- – I don’t know how this Etsy stuff works. – I think this artist had to pay a license fee to Rick and Morty. And then he passed that… Or she, or they, passed this cost along to us. – I’m sure that’s exactly how it worked, Link. – So that could make this one more expensive. It’s also… It’s pop-culturally popular, so this artist may be in a position to charge more because there’s more demand for turning normal people into pop culture icons. – But look at the shadowing on this. – But look at the shadowing. The quality is arguably equal, because this nails a style. – This is tough. It makes it very difficult. Other than the first round, I wasn’t shooting with a lot of confidence thus far. – [Stevie] Your time starts in three, two, one… (whistles tweet) (energetic music) – See, we’re fighting for the same balls. – Really though? – Kinda like a vasectomy. – Why are you reaching over for balls when you’ve got a bunch of balls right in front of you? – [Link] ‘Cause I want the red ball. Come on, come on. Come on! (energetic music) Dang it! (buzzer honks) Yes! – Okay. – All right. – [Rhett] Who knows, man? – I completely committed to this one being more expensive. – I committed to that for a little bit, and then I committed to that for a little bit. – I couldn’t make anything though. – [Stevie] The portrait on the red podium is from the AlysonRecordart shop on Etsy and cost us $130. The portrait on the blue podium is from ToonStudioShop on Etsy and cost us $32. – Okay. – So you were right. – [Stevie] So the one on the red is more expensive. Refs, how’d they do? – Rhett, you got seven. – Link, you got eight. – But… So I won this round, but overall, I didn’t do it, did I? – Why am I out of breath? I mean, I don’t feel like I did anything. – So Rhett won, right? – Correct. – All right. You get the jersey. – Oh, look. Oh, this is… Oh, and look at this. Look at this. Will you look at that? Look at that. – GMMBA? – GMMBA. We should sell one of these. – And put it on. – But for now I’ll put it on. – Now, your arms go though those little holes. And now turn around, let’s see the back. What’s your number? “I Know Prices Good.” Until next time, thanks for subscribing and clicking that bell. – You know what time it is. – Hi, I’m Zeva. – And I’m Sam. – We are at NC State, Rhett and Link’s alma mater… – [Both] And it is time to spin the Wheel of Mythicality. – Remember that? Remember that? We went there. – I went there and he went there. – Click the top link us to watch us judge video games by their cover in Good Mythical More. – And to find out where the Wheel of Mythicality’s gonna land. – [Rhett] It’s election day! Go out and vote! And get informed at VoteLikeABeast.com.
