GMM 2374: What Broken Product Is This? (Game)

To enjoy today’s episode, disassembly is required. – Let’s talk about that. (upbeat music) “Good Mythical Morning.” – You’ve heard that you should not judge a book by its cover, but can you judge it after one chapter? How about two? Maybe three? – Oh. – Okay. In our case, can you judge a thingamabob by its… Whatever doohickeys thingamabobs are made of. – Well said. The crew has torn apart some well-known thingamabobs down to the unrecognizable doohickeys they’re made of. – Yes. – And it’s up to us to figure out what thingamabob all of those doohickeys come together to create. – The crew tore crap to pieces, and we’re gonna guess what they tore up. It’s time for titillating tear downs. – How’s this going to work, Stevie? – [Stevie] Well, as you said, the crew tore crap to pieces, also known as has taken apart a series of items. – Titillating. – And your job is to identify what those items are by analyzing the individual pieces of each product as they’re revealed. You’ll begin with a nice 35 points, and you only have three chances per round to guess what the product is. – Okay. – [Stevie] Each round we’ll begin by giving you a single piece and you can ask for more pieces to help you make your guesses. But each additional piece will cost you one point. Your first guess per round won’t cost you anything, but the second and third guesses will cost you two and three points respectively. And if you can’t determine the item after three guesses, you’ll lose an additional five points. There’s also a hint available to you in every round, but those cost three points each. – This is so cruel. – [Stevie] And if you have any points remaining at the end, you’ll win a digital breakdown of yourselves, which I’m told is a good thing. – Digital breakdown! – [Stevie] Digital breakdown. – What do you think is happening to our brains, and your brain, as you watch this show, that often has rules like this, like three points and then five points, and then a hint, and then a… I mean, I think we’re all getting smarter. – I’m getting so smart. – That’s what I choose to believe, is that we are staving off dementia. – Can I get smarter? – Oh yeah. Oh yeah. (upbeat music) – Lucas! Rhett, look at that. – This is a spool. – Is it a spool? It’s very light. I would think that this thing right here- – [Link] It’s made outta plastic. – Some sort of thing goes through there and is… See how it’s like caught on that right there? Like, there’s some wear and… There’s some wear. – This is my favorite type of hole. – Oh. Not mine. – ‘Cause when you put it… You have to turn it sideways to get it in, and then when you turn it, it won’t come out. – [Rhett] Oh, yeah. – And then if you push it in sideways and then you slide it, then it also won’t come out. Okay. I have no freaking clue what this is, dude. What’s the best thing we can do at this point? – Do we get penalties for guessing? – Not the first guess. – [Stevie] I’m sorry, were you not listening? – First guess is no cost. Second guess is two points. Third guess is three points. – I’m not ready for a guess. – So we can’t just be unmitigatingly guessing. – And how many points is another thing coming out? – [Stevie] One. – Give us another thing. – Yeah, we need another. – Lucas! This is colorful. These colors go together. I’m immediately thinking some sort of like, this is like a toy. This might be some sort of a… Is that a handle? – This is made to look like something that it is not. Do you know what I’m saying? Like, if you buy like a toy. – It’s a toy, A toy radio that’s supposed to look like an old radio. Those like panels actually served a purpose. But now it’s just a mold. – It’s impersonating metal. I think it’s a Nerf blaster maybe. – Ooh, that’s a really good guess. – [Stevie] To clarify, that wasn’t a guess, right? – That was not a guess. – No it wasn’t a guess to you. – [Stevie] Okay, okay, okay. – But… – Let’s get a third thing. – This is a handle. You are right about that. – It’s a handle. – I don’t think they would even give us a Nerf blaster. – [Rhett] They wouldn’t do that. – They wouldn’t give us anything that… – Of course, they wouldn’t… – Like a projectile sending device. – We would like one more. Oh. – Oh, Lucas is getting generous, y’all. There’s two more pieces for the price of one point. – Not only is a Nerf blaster a good guess because this is a handle, but also because these are the colors that you associate with Nerf blasters. Green and orange. – Maybe this is a… – And look at that. I just put that together, homie. I think this is a computer. – Can I… – I think this is one of those new, oh, let’s get kids into computers. – Okay, I was tracking with you until you began saying things like that. – Remember when Apple was trying to get, like, people to think computers were cool and they like started making those big bulbous, colorful computers with handles? – Yeah, it sort of worked, if you didn’t notice. – [Link] Oh, so that goes on the end. – No, I don’t- – This is a freaking blaster. – I don’t know if it does, but I’m just- – Well, that, what you did is not right. Rotate that around. – But well, this thing is- – [Link] And then that like this. Look, look, look. – I know, but I’m just trying to make- – We’re actually gonna make it. You didn’t even know that was part of this. – I don’t know if that’s… – Come on, ma’am. Can we ask for another fun lifeline? Whichever one you recommend. – [Stevie] Well, there’s only one, and it’s a hint. And it costs three points, which is a lot of points. – I mean, we could get three more items for that. – That’s not a Nerf blaster. – Let’s just get one more item. – Do they shoot little things now? – I bet it’s a… I bet it’s a confetti cannon. One more item please. – What if it’s a vape? Oh, it is a vape. – It’s not a vape. – [Rhett] Yeah, it’s a vape. – What? All right, so… – Hey, don’t vape. Okay? Kids, this was all just a big- – You don’t know what can be in that stuff. – PSA about not vaping. – And, you know… Okay, this- – [Rhett] This is a tube. – And here’s another tube. And then that one comes out. It comes out right there. And this goes in here. – Yeah, but it’s gonna shoot water. It’s a water gun. It’s a water blaster. – It’s a water blaster. – It’s a water blaster. It’s a very powerful water blaster. – I bet you this isn’t water. I bet you it’s some other material. – Can we just guess water blaster. – We’re gonna guess water blaster. – [Stevie] Okay. Can you get more…. – More specific? – [Stevie] Yeah, just because- – Hot water blaster. – [Stevie] You had a nice brand of the time that you were not guessing. – Super soaker. – [Stevie] Hey! There you go, you got it. – This is a super… This is a defanged Super Soaker. – There’s the rest of it. And there’s the whole thing assembled. – And look at the… This is the genius of a super soaker. The entire blaster provides water capacity. – Self-contained. – It’s not just a little bladder up in here like we humans have. The entire thing is a bladder. It’s kind of like how the entire mechanism of an octopus is the brain. – Right, right, right. – That’s where this was inspired by. – But I do think it could be a vape, here. – Don’t you do it. – It’s not a vape. Don’t vape. (upbeat music) – Sir Lucas left foot, bring it in. Here we go. Look at this right here, Rhett. I’ll give you the plug end and then I’ll take the satellite end. – [Rhett] No. – What? – We know that it requires power. (Rhett laughing) You can’t fool us! – And look at- – It requires power. – Look at this though. – It’s a vape. No, it’s not. I’m not gonna… That’s the last one. That’s the last one. It’s not gonna be a runner. There’s no vape runner in this episode. – No matter what you say about it, it seems pro vape when you talk about it. – I’m anti vape. – I know, but even the look on your face. It’s like… – We had the freaking surgeon general on this show. – Power! – And the vape lobby got very upset. – Okay, give us something else, Lucas. And it better be good. That sucks. – Okay. Oh, okay. But this is metal. – That’s a vacuum type thing. – That’s what I thought. Oh, you know what? Caution to the wind. – Vacuum! – It’s a vacuum. – [Stevie] Oh. Absolutely not. – Oh. – Absolutely not? What happens for that? – What happens for vacuum? – [Stevie] Yeah, your free guesses are gone away. – Our first guess is free. – I thought you said free guess and I thought you said that you got a free bite. – Vacuum again! For two points this time. – You didn’t get a free bite. – I’m not on board for that. That’s a tiny hole though, Link. – It’s a tiny hole. – I wouldn’t have have said vacuum if I saw the tiny hole. You should’ve let me see it. – [Stevie] Honestly, I didn’t know it was a guess ’cause I was waiting for you to tell me what you thought about that hole, which I thought was gonna be- – What do you think of that hole, Rhett? It’s not my favorite hole. – This is not my favorite hole. – And you put stuff in that hole, and if you twist it, nothing happens. – Yeah, I’m not intrigued by holes like this. This is a spring loaded… Spring load. – And I’m gonna tell you the pressure of it. – What’s the pressure? Give it in psi. – I would say that that’s 24 psi right there. So this thing’s got some wallop to it. – That’s like more than tire pressure. – Let’s see another one. – It’s a pump of some… It might be a pump. – Oh, there’s a dial. The dial goes from one, all the way through to 30. – Is that a timer? – Would you call that a timer or a gauge? (Link laughing) Did that seem smart when I asked that? ‘Cause you looked at me like you were impressed by the question ‘Cause I didn’t think it was that impressive of a question. – I was impressed with myself. – This is a timer. It’s a timer that then something pops and it- – It’s a timer that goes up to 30 minutes. Doesn’t go there. – [Link] You know what? – What kind of things are timed? – Caution to the wind… – Runs. What kind of things are timed? Cookings. – Cookings? – [Rhett] Cookings are timed. – But something that then it springs forth. I think it’s like you set it and you get back. – Toasters are timed. – It’s like a rocket launcher. – Is this a mini bagel toaster? Did Stevie- – We gotta have another one. – Did Stevie donate her mini bagel toaster for this exercise? – Okay, all right. – We’re gonna have to get her new one. – Look at how this looks like a flashlight. Well, you can’t see in front of… Can you see in front of my black shirt? – Ooh. It’s not though. It looks like it, but because of all this stuff up here, there’s no… – It’s a wand. – I think it’s some sort of a… Like this, this definitely goes here. – [Rhett] Oh my goodness. – And I don’t want the next piece because it’s just gonna be the other half of this. – Oh, Link, Link, Link, Link, Link, Link! It’s a curling iron! – [Link] Are you sure? – Yeah, I use one every morning. Can’t you tell? – All right. We have a guess. – Certainly, it’s gotta be. This gets hot. – For two points- – And it’s got a timer on it. – It is conducting. – So you don’t burn your house down. – Is it hot? Is it real hot? All right. For two points. – [Both] It’s a curling iron. – [Stevie] That is not how the points work, but it is a curling iron, so, you got it. – Yay! – Lucas, you can’t fool us. – [Stevie] That’s also not a timer. That is how you adjust the temperature of the curling iron. – Well, you know what, based on the number of times that I’m getting in the car with Jessie and she says, “I think I may have left the curling iron on,” they need timers. So I can be be like, “Well, as soon as the timer goes off, it’ll be okay. You won’t burn the house down.” – That’s just called auto off. – Yeah. Do you think they all have that? Does this have auto off? – [Stevie] I don’t think so. – See, it doesn’t. (upbeat music) – Mad dog, hit me. – Don’t think about it yet. Don’t think about it yet! – I’m already thinking about it. We got 26 points. Maybe we should have made it harder. You know? There’s a lot of psychology that goes into this and we have nothing to do with it. – You notice anything different about me? – Yeah, you need to brush your buck teeth, homie. – Look at that. – Carney, isn’t that how this show works?
