Not only are we gonna be trying a whole mess of peanut butter ice creams. A sacrifice that we are willing to make. But we’ll also be crowning an ultimate peanut butter champion of PBC, if you will, when the winners of all three daily tournaments go head to head. Fine. We’ll do it. If it’ll get you off our backs. Is there anything else you want us to say, or can we get this over with? You sound like you’re being a little facetious. I’m being a little facetious. For today’s competition, we asked the ultimate taste testers to help us determine the bracket. The crew over at sporked. com. Look at these happy peanut buttery faces. Of course they are. Just like we’re about to be. Yeah. Thank you. Sporked. And of course, their choices are over on the board, controlled by Mouse-rie Ant-cheese-nette. It’s me. You’re back. It’s me, Mouse-rie Ant-cheese-nette. Yeah, that’s what we heard. What’s? Is there a connection for you being here or just because we enjoy your presence? Mice like more than just cheese. See, look at us. We’re expanding the view of mice here. In the end, only one peanut butter ice cream wins the title of Peanut Butter Ice Cream Queen, and our contenders are. Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Half Baked. Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter Nutty Bars. Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter World. Ben and Jerry’s Netflix and Chill’d. Breyers Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. Reese’s Peanut Butter Ice Cream. And Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup. We’re starting off with our first seed, Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Half Baked, up against our last seed, Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter. Now, Häagen-Dazs Peanut Butter ice cream won the overall title in the ice cream tournament. But can it do the same thing under the peanut butter microscope? And the reason why it’s last seed is that’s just randomly generated, right? No. Yes? It always is? Oh, we’re doing random generation? For this one, because it’s not votes. It’s just. There’s so much stuff in this. What is it? Chocolate. Chocolate and peanut butter ice cream mixed with gobs of peanut butter, cookie dough and fudge brownies. So, there’s no ribbons of peanut butter. Can I just say that? There’s no ribbons of peanut butter. Point against. That was my robot. This is a peanut butter tournament. Point against. You’re making. It might get very logical when my robot part talks. That’s my left brain. Point against. It’s a very good point, against, and. It is tasty, though. It’s such a good. I mean it’s. This has ribbons. It kind of rivals Tonight Dough, which is one of my favorites. I’m fond of a good ribbon. I love it. It’s what I want in a chocolate peanut butter ice cream. I want the chocolate ice cream to be the base and then the peanut butter ribbons. Did you get a good ribbon? Yes. I mean, it’s just. Oh, there’s a big ribbon. It’s just unadulterated. I’ve struck gold. Pieces of peanut butter. It’s so good. That’s so good too. If I want ice cream and I don’t just want peanut butter, I’m probably going for that because I like the dough. But this is if you’re in a peanut butter mood and you want ice cream. So we got to stick with the peanut butter. Häagen-Dazs moving on. Yep. Wow, look at that. You approve? I approve. I think that’s a delicious ice cream. Very efficient. It’s absolutely amazing. How are we going to get rid of this one? That means that Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Half Baked is going into Beelzebub’s peanut butter jar. I hate to do it, but. It’s so deep. Now we got Little Debbie Nutty Bars versus Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter World. Wow, Nutty Bars coming back again. But not Nutty Buddy ice cream. They didn’t change the name on this. Right, but the same ingredient. Hit the shelves in 2022. It is peanut butter ice cream. Okay, okay. Swirled with chocolatey waffle cone pieces and a fudge swirl. So, we’re getting peanut butter ice cream. And then no more peanut butter in it. That’s good peanut butter ice cream. It’s very light colored. It’s not the most peanut buttery of ice cream either. It’s not bad. I wouldn’t even know that was peanut butter ice cream unless you told me. Well, what if I told you that Peanut Butter World won our Ben and Jerry’s Gut Check? I would remember that because it was so good. What’s in this again? It’s got milk chocolate ice cream with peanut buttery swirls and chocolate cookie swirls. Okay. So, it’s got those peanut butter ribbons. It sounds like you really prefer peanut butter ribbons over peanut butter ice cream. If you had to choose one or the other. Yeah, because it’s actually peanut butter. But I didn’t get a swirl that time. But here we go. I got one. That’s so good. That ice cream, just as an ice cream, is exquisite. It is an exquisite ice cream. I like chocolate ice cream as the base. But again, that’s not what this is about. The peanut butter is great. It’s very present. It’s battling with the chocolate cookies swirl, making it an amazing experience that in any other setting, I would only praise. I’m tasting more peanut butter in this ice cream, now that I come back to it. I don’t need to go back to it. But, I don’t like it. It’s just not good enough. It’s not good enough. Debbie. So, Peanut Butter World. Move it on, Marie. Thank you. There’s a lot of names over there. So polite and so gentle with the way you do that. Now. It’s Beelzebub. You said Beel-zebub. We’re going into Beelze-boob’s endless peanut butter jar. Now we got Ben and Jerry’s Netflix and Chill’d up against Breyers Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup. You ever had this? I haven’t. Does it, is it supposed to make you horny or is it just playing off of that? I’ve never had it. It’s got oysters. I’ve never had it. It’s peanut butter ice cream. Sweet and salty pretzel swirls and fudge brownie. The saltiness is nice. I always thought that the pretzels would be crunchy, which is why I’ve never tried this. And here I am. How could the be crunchy? How could they stay crunchy inside ice cream? Well, Rhett, there’s plenty of things that are in ice cream that stay crunchy. Not pretzels. I really like it. I think that it’s a much better peanut butter ice cream than that Nutty Bar one we just had. So, it’s a soggy pretzel? Yeah. You’ve also both had this before. How did we talk about it then? Did we make the same? Yeah. You were like, is this going to make me horny? Pretzels aren’t crunchy, and yeah. I mean, I don’t remember a lot of things on this show. I’m getting horny. That was my left brain talking. One horny point. One point for horny. What is? It’s really good. What do you got going over here? Because that looks good. Yeah, the label looks good because it looks like Breyers and Reese’s. What could go wrong? But, well, I’m not going to tell you. But? What? I have a but. I’m not going to tell you until we taste it. It’s got peanut butter cups, pieces and fudge swirl in peanut butter ice cream. Is it healthy? It’s not healthy, but it is light ice cream. Oh, yeah. I knew something was up… I could tell. Does it say that on the thing? It’s technically frozen dairy dessert. Oh, really? It does not contain enough milk fat to be called ice cream. It doesn’t contain enough milk fat to be good. Yeah. And that is apparently not memorable, but really good. I’m not going to forget you Netflix and Chill’d, and you’re going to move on. That’s right. Great placement by the mouse. Wait, wait. You know, just when I was talking about how elegant and gentle you were. I still dropped it elegant and gentle. Oh, you did. Yeah, you did. And that means, going into Beelzebub’s jar. We’ve got that. It’s not right there. It’s deep. Okay, in our final preliminary round, we’ve got Reese’s Peanut Butter ice cream versus Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup. Now, you might think to yourself, what’s the difference between Reese’s Peanut Butter Ice Cream and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Ice Cream that we just had? Because they both have Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in them. That ain’t the difference. Now, this says with chunks of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Peanut Butter swirl. You know what? We need to get the old one out. Reach in there and see if you can get it out of the bottom of this. Just reach in there. You got to go deep. You got to go deep. You got to go deep. Got to go deep. Oh, there he goes. I think I, I think I. I got to go. Further. I’m still not to the bottom. Further. Further. Still not. I think I. Look at that. Whoa. Okay. What does that say, Link? Frozen dairy dessert. Is that frozen dairy dessert? It says light ice cream. Yep. They’re both light. This one has a fudge swirl. That’s the difference. Oh, all that for just that. Fudge swirl versus peanut butter swirl. Peanut butter swirl is. More peanut butter. I just got a bunch of it. Let me dig out some of that peanut butter swirl. Peanut butter ice cream. Light years ahead of that other one. I’m glad that one’s in ice cream hell. Yeah, but there’s so much peanut butter that it’s doing a lot of heavy lifting over here. What’s the point of light ice cream? I guess you have so much fatty. I think it’s to make it somewhat. In the peanut butter? Not just embarrassing to eat, you know? It’s so peanut buttery. Wow. All right, over here, B and J, you got. It’s just peanut butter cups, peanut butter ice cream. So, a lot of peanut butter here too. Lot to love here. No ribbons. It’s very good. The peanut butter ice cream itself is like. It’s better ice cream because it’s not light. I’m coming back to this, because. I’m missing the swirl. The swirl’s doing it for me. I don’t know. I just got an aftertaste of this light ice cream, though. I know. It threw me off. The chunks are so. This ice cream is primo. I agree with you. We’re going to stick with this one. Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup. Moving on. So both of our Reese’s contenders are already out, guys. Crazy, we’re so unpredictable. Wow. B and J is, all right. Beelzebub. Here comes a big one. It’s really great chocolate, and it’s just really great peanut butter. Peanut Butter World, though, holds a special place in our Gut Checking hearts. I taste brownie more than peanut butter. Exactly. Why would you call it Peanut Butter World, if only if peanut butter is not the main story? It’s not. This is a great ice cream that shouldn’t be called Peanut Butter World. No. I’m sorry. So Häagen-Dazs, move it on, because it’s a beautiful creation and I feel bad about Peanut Butter World, again. I don’t. I love you, but go to hell. Fun every time. Who’s going to face Häagen-Dazs in the final? Is it going to be Netflix and Chill’d or Peanut Butter Cup? It’s the Ben versus Jerry round, Rhett. Yeah, Ben representing this side. Oh, really? Look how big the chunks can get. Like that is a huge chunk. It’s a lot to take, isn’t it? Too much of a peanut butter cup. Peanut butter ice cream, check. Sweet and salty pretzel swirls, soggy, check. It’s great… It’s great, man. There’s not a lot wrong with it. The cups are so big. And they’re not actually cups. Did we get them mixed up? I feel like we’re eating the ones with cups in it, and that’s the one that’s on this one. Yep. That’s what we’ve done. We just ate the Ben and Jerry. We just ate Jerry’s. Yeah, we definitely. You thought we were eating Ben. See, you know what? You can’t get one past us. Can’t get one past us. So there we so. Well, let’s keep eating this stuff. I ate a lot of it already. I was like, I was checking off the things that weren’t in it. I was like, there’s cups and there’s no cups in this one. There’s cups in that one. Yeah. So let me run that again. Peanut butter ice cream? Check. Big peanut butter cups? Check. I was like, where did the pretzel go? It’s over here. The fudge brownie makes it taste really good, but it takes away from the peanut butterness of it. It doesn’t even taste like peanut butter after you’ve eaten this. No. Okay. We’re sending Peanut Butter Cup onward. Got to. Thank you, Mouse-rie. And that means, going to ice cream hell. A great ice cream, that’s not peanut buttery enough. Nope. Okay. Now the finals. Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter against peen and Jerry’s. I said peen peen and Jerry’s because I was thinking peanut butter. Okay. Yeah, I’m sure you were. Please let me defend myself. Ben and Jerry’s Peanut Butter Cup. Okay. Every time I dip into this, I get a ribbon. I got to tell you, I did not get a ribbon in that bite, and I experienced no peanut butter. You know why? Your bites are too small. I hate to say it. It can happen, though. It can happen. Try again. You left peanut butter on the side. That’s a whole ribbon right there just waiting for you. I have it. Oh, you got it? But it wasn’t a lot. Well, I’ll get it because it’s right here. It’s possible for it to happen. It’s amazing. It’s simplistic. It need not have anything else. You don’t have to throw a bunch of Jerry and Ben at it. The peanut butter over here, however, is inescapable. Every bite is peanut butter ice cream. Yeah, but it’s not peanut butter. And if you get a chunk, you’re going to get peanut butter in the center of the thing. Now, I like this better. Don’t get me wrong. I do, too. But I really like this, too. And if you love peanut butter. There’s so many ribbons in this, man. If you love peanut butter, then you got to just go with, you’re guaranteed there’s a risk here. If you want peanut butter in every bite. I wasn’t trying to not get peanut butter in the bite. It just happened. And was my bite too small? No, it was average. No, it was a quarter of your spoon, man. I’ll take another little. This is a small bite, but, there was no ribbon in it. I’m standing by Häagen-Dazs. It’s the best chocolate and peanut butter. The peanut butter is real peanut butter. And it’s unadulterated peanut butter. Ice cream sandwich? Ice cream. Peanut butter ice cream. Well, it looks like we’re having a tiebreaker. I didn’t want to. I didn’t want to do it either. I didn’t want to do it. Listen, it’s. I thought we would agree. You’ve been saying all along this whole tournament, it’s not about what you like the most. It’s about what has the most peanut butter, forward. If I want peanut butter, I want actual peanut butter. I don’t want it cloaked in chocolate. It’s overpowered by the chocolate chunks. And peanut butter ice cream is great. I don’t disagree with you. This isn’t easy for me. This is hard for me. This is hard for me, but. You’re going to regret this. I love this so much, and the ribbon that I got before, it was the size almost of a chicken nugget. I’m still tasting it. Well, that’s why, you took all the peanut butter. How are we going to decide this? Well, unfortunately, the tiebreaker today involves you eating more ice cream. Somebody’s got to do it. So, what will happen is… at the same time, you’re going to take a bite of this ice cream after my three, two, one. And then whoever yells out the flavor first. Okay. Wins. Okay, these are both worthy contenders for the final, okay? Three, two, one. Butter pecan. Caramel. Werther’s Original. Salted caramel. It’s kind of a fancy name. Dulce de leche Yep. Fancy! You know, you hit my fancy button. All right. Whatever. I responded. I don’t hate it, but it seems that Ben and Jerry’s buttercup has got to go in the hole. Yes. They’re piling up. I actually saw that one hit the bottom. Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream is officially our PB Ice Cream Queen. Congratulations. It is a wonderful ice cream. It’s so cold that it won’t. It’s a little bit more chocolate than peanut butter, but you’ll love it. But when you get the peanut butter, it’s so good. Look at that. See, Link? It’s like a scream queen. Yep. That’s great, and of course, now it moves on because we have to crown the ultimate peanut butter champion. We have reached the pinnacle of peanut butterness. It is the culmination of three days worth of tasting. Now we’re going to pit the candy winner, which is Ben and Jerry’s Cookie Dough Mixed Peanut Butter against the snack winner, Nutter Butters and the recently crowned Häagen-Dazs Chocolate Peanut Butter ice cream winner. And I just had so much of that that I feel like I can’t necessarily have any more of it at this moment. But we can have a little bit of this. This is, you know, Cinderella of the tournament. So mushy, so peanut buttery. A little bit of chocolate, you know? There’s some chocolate chips in there to break it up. It leaves you with a peanut butter taste though, no matter what you get. This is shaped like a peanut. A cookie that’s always a treat for me. It’s dippable, it’s consistently peanut buttery. And it is the most peanut butter, peanut themed of anything that we’ve tasted. And of course, what we’ve already tasted a lot of today. The ribbons are to die for. Oh, they’re so good. But there’s a lot of chocolate, too. Yeah. You have made your point, Link. There’s a lot of chocolate. I pushed very hard for that. I did win fair and square, but I got to say that now that we’re considering these three together, I feel like the chocolate forwardness of this kind of moves it down to last place. Okay, well, I’m proud of you, you know? That’s nice growth on your part. All right. So now we’re down to these two man. Scrap. Scrap. I’m really tempted to go with the cookie dough because it’s such an experience. But it’s kind of a topping, is it not? Well, it’s untopping. It’s so good that it didn’t need to be topped. It just was. If I had to choose to eat either of these things, I would choose this. But if I had to choose peanut butter, to eat. Peanut butter flavored things to eat, I would choose Nutter Butter. I agree. Okay, there we have it. Can you believe it? It wasn’t easy, and it was by a slim margin.
