Today, we get all the massages. Let’s talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. Over the years, we’ve done more than 40 gut checks. Where we have tried every version of certain snacks. Everything from Ben & Jerry’s, ice creams, to Spam. And it has been exhausting. We just have the hardest jobs ever. Besides nurses and teachers. and Stevie. Yeah. Regardless, we are in need of a little TLC. So today, the only snacks on display are these two. It’s time for Full Body Check Massage Edition. Welcome to the Relaxation Station Zone. Okay, boys. Today you’ll be receiving nine different types of massages focusing on the ones that are arguably the most common massages in the Los Angeles area. Your super difficult job is to receive each massage and give it your gut reaction score on a scale of 1 to 100. The winning massage will be declared the massage you need. Like, you know what I’m saying? You don’t have to explain it to me! You don’t have to explain jokes to me! With that, let’s welcome our first two massage therapists, Eric and Glynnis. Woo! Woo woo woo! This is what I do whenever my massage therapist shows up. Woo woo woo woo woo! Hey everybody, my massage therapist is there! Yeah, it makes him feel so comfortable. Okay, we are starting with the table massage category. Beginning with acupressure. Acupressure is a traditional Chinese medical practice slash massage that works like acupuncture by utilizing pressure points, but using fingertip pressure instead of needles. Acupressure. How does that relate to AccuWeather Womp womp. Link wanted to be a weatherman. She gave you a weh-weh. Yeah, you’ve been, how do you know that she didn’t give you a womp womp? Because I didn’t say anything. It might have been a delayed womp womp. So this is really gentle at this point. Yes, what we’re doing is clearing some energy while also releasing tension. Very light pressure. I mean, does different type of energy come out based on where you’re pushing? And where does it come out? Sometimes in the form of a fart. Really? Yeah. And do you laugh that off or do you just say, as expected? Sometimes. I, I laugh it off. Okay, good. I’m a laugher. As expected. So what are you feeling on me right now? Um, tension. Are you like thinking, Oh, he’s, he’s tense right now. I’m thinking what happened this weekend. Oh, well, I was actually on a little vacation. Oh, did I, did I took a long weekend? Did I not get enough out? Could use another week. Okay, that’s really good. No, he’s in the zone now. Now I am, yeah, yeah, this is. Okay, this is perfect that you’re in the zone because now we have to move on to our next massage but before we do What is your score from 1 to 100? I’m gonna give it a solid 76. I’m gonna give it a 61. Okay. It’s just, it’s, there’s not enough going on for me. Up next we have reflexology, which is similar to acupressure in that the massage therapists are utilizing pressure points, but it uses less pressure and is more targeted on your feet, hands, and ears. Oh. So this is the thing where I’ve seen maps of like the hands and the feet and Then it’s labeled with other parts of the body like you’re touching my hand, but it’s connected to something else. Oh It’s just like a carpool tunnel kind of thing would it help with that? Definitely now Rhett. Don’t you normally say no feet? Oh, I’m trying to be open There was a period of time when I was like, Well, there’s something about the way that Eric is working my foot that is not, like, it’s not, uh, eliciting a laughter, like a tickle response. What’s happening to my feet right now is amazing. Okay, we’re going to transition from reflexology, but before we do, let’s give it a score. I’m liking this one better, um, now I’m up to a 74. I’m going to a 72. Okay, we’re gonna move on to lymphatic drainage massage. It involves gently manipulating the body to move excess fluid from your tissue towards your lymph nodes so that your body can get rid of toxins. Now you’re pushing on my pooter. Inhale. And exhale. You can let it out. It’s all natural. What’s your pooter specific? What is a pooter? I’ve never heard of that. You think your diaphragm is your pooter? Oh yeah. I don’t know if you know how the body works, man. Oh, this is the pooter that he was talking about. This is the pooter. This is the pooter move. Push him on the gut. Oh, that’s okay. Okay. He’s ticklish. He’s ticklish. Alright. Okay boys, I need a rating for this massage. I’m gonna give this one a 68. It is relaxing, but I feel like I’m back down in 67 territory. Okay. Well, thank you, Eric and Glynis. We appreciate your time. for having us. Enjoy the rest of your sessions. Thank you. Okay, please welcome our next two massage therapists, Janetta and Ryan. Yay! So, is this because, uh, nobody wanted to touch us for more than four minutes at a time? Well, everybody has their own expertise, as you’ll see. So, for this, uh, portion Oh, yeah. Don’t be afraid. They’re a little scary, but They haven’t bitten anyone except for each other. Oh, nothing. That was good. You’re cool as a cucumber. Okay, so Rhett and Link, uh, flip on over onto your stomachs face down for these next massages. Okay. Oh, head in the hole? Oh, there’s a camera in here. There’s a camera, there’s a light. Hello, Mythical Beasts. You’re going all the way down. Why is my face like Oh, me? Is he on his knees? I’m gonna put my glasses on the ground. Oh man, okay, we are starting this off with Swedish massage, which is defined by elongated and fluid strokes at mild to medium pressure typically applied to the full body. It’s a traditionally relaxing massage that mutually benefits the muscular and circulatory systems due to the sustained and even application of calming pressure. Yes. Yes, please. That’s what I’m talking about right here. Now we’re getting to it. Now Stevie is on record complaining about how men in adjacent massage rooms like to give more feedback like groaning and vocal response moaning and hissing and Stevie you hear this? And, Steve, you have a feed that shows you my face right now. Yes, I do. Don’t, don’t talk to me directly, though. Steve! Stevie, we are addressing you in this moment. Oh yeah. See? This is, this is, this is a ticket right here. Yeah, I’m very into this. I mean, it would be nice to have some sort of ocean sounds or something. There you go. It’s always good to have music. It’s very calming. And it helps the masseuse, too. We get in a rhythm. And as we’re in this rhythm, I’ll ask you to pause and Give me that score. Eighty four. I’m going to ninety with this one. Oh! You know, it’s just, it’s super nice. Stevie. Oh yeah, Stevie. I’m giving it a nine. Oh my god. Nine and a half. Okay, up next is hot stone massage, which is a technique that incorporates tools into the massage. Heated stones are applied in one of two ways. They can be rested atop specific muscle groups to allow the heat to dissipate into the muscles and inspire relaxation. Or applied as an enhancement to the therapist’s moving strokes. It’s too high, okay? Okay. Oh, that is high! Not too high, but Oh, yeah. So what kind of rock are we talking about here? Is this igneous? I like the stones! Okay. Boy, these stones got it good. They get to rub up against humans all the time. I think this is like the best job a stone can have. I mean Okay, what are we thinking for Maybe a Roman column? The, uh, score here. I’m at 79 with this one. I’m, I’m moving down to 77. Okay, we’re moving on to deep tissue massage, which is a technique that uses long Swedish strokes for shorter targeted applications of deep pressure. The therapist will target specific muscles, especially groups with trigger points or knots. Recipients can expect an intense massage that will often require their participation in the form of deliberate breathing and mild to medium discomfort. You want me to participate by being uncomfortable? Okay. I can handle that. This is my jam. Hurt me. I deserve it. Ugh. Are you finding any knots? Good God. No, actually, you’re pretty good. See, if I don’t leave limping I don’t feel like I got my money’s worth. You found a little spot right there. So that feels amazing. I can feel it. It also hurts like hell. In a good way. Oh yeah. Alright, I’m going a little lower, okay? Yeah, go a little lower. How tight is my ass? Well It’s kind of loose. Got that loose booty. I don’t know how to take that. But I choose to take it as a compliment. Yeah, just take it as a compliment. I choose! You’re not too stressed or tight right there. Okay, I’m sorry to say it’s time to give this a score. This is, this is, this is my favorite so far. This is a highlight. Definitely. 94! I’m going to 98 for this because it’s like, I, the thing I love about it is you have to focus on your breathing and it’s almost, there’s a challenge. Component to it. Okay. Up next is sports massage to inspire muscle recovery after a taxing event. Uh, like a long weekend vacation, the therapist will use a number of active friction focused techniques to help facilitate the exchange of waste products out of the muscles for fresh blood and oxygen into the muscles. Recipients can expect a massage tailored to the predominant muscle groups for their sport, which for you guys. Um, would be Yeah, by looking at my legs, what sport do you think I play? Power walking. That’s a compliment. Well, I’m more of a dog walker. I’m into billiards. Billiards. Well, see, I thought you were, I would have thought you were a runner. I have run. I have run. It’s that real loose ass. I’ve got what you call a billiard’s ass. He’s been bending over that table a lot. You know what I’m saying? Okay, it is time to give Sports Massage a score. 85. I’m gonna give it an 8 0. Just straight up, because um, I don’t want to be lured back into the world of sport. And that concludes the table massages category for the last two massages, we’re going to move from the table down to the floor. So Ryan and Janetta will be back, but for this next massage, let’s welcome Julie and Ashley. Hello, Julie and Ashley. We have assumed a floor position, Rhett. Are you, um, I’m so comfortable. This is how I sleep. What is Adam A You got a, a bow like, like a Donatello or something? It’s, it’s a bamboo stick to help me balance. Okay. Good balance. Uhoh. Alright. Okay. We’re gonna be starting with gen. We’re the right uh, barefoot massage. It’s a GN barefoot massage. Yeah. It is a neuromuscular barefoot mat work massage, an aggressive technique, but does not ever utilize the therapist’s full body weight. Okay. Okay. Oh. Vegean Bearfist. Yes, I love it. My feet might be a little chilly. Oh my goodness. Oh! Oh my goodness. She’s stepping on my leg. Wowzers. Woohoo! She’s, she’s stepping on my inner thigh, Rhett. Yeah, I just got the inner thigh treatment and it was intense. I like it cause it does hurt. I used to fish in my uncle’s pond with a bamboo pole. We would catch brim with corn. Would you believe that? Oh yeah, that’s it right there. That detail of your story really got me. Oh, that outer thigh is tight, tight, tight, tight. Yes, yes, yes. Yes! Yes! Oh my god. Oh yeah. I’m just gonna roll over a little bit. This is incredible. Oh god. How have I never experienced this before? I’m sorry, is that okay for you? That feels good. Okay, do we think we’re ready to give a score? Oh my god! What did I give Deep Tissue, 98? . Yeah. So yeah. Not a lot of R Room for going up. Oh man. I think this is a, this is a tie. I think I’m giving this a 98 for me. This, no, it’s the D in link. Huh? 95. I love it. Okay. Thank you Julie and Ashley, we’re gonna go ahead and bring back Jeanetta and Ryan. Oh God. Your final massage is T massage. Thai massage incorporates deep body stretches and medium pressure holds applied for longer intervals on specific muscle groups. A therapist will actively manipulate the recipient’s body in partnered poses to create a deep and relaxing effect. So. It is this usually done on the floor and then that’s so that you can get more pressure You get the you get more resistance on the floor than a table. You can get a little bit more strength It’s a little bit easier to hold the poses and then with these sort of Thai and Eastern massages We’ll also be doing some partnered stretching. So Banana, Zamazoo, Gow, Gow, Skibby, Scat, Ski, there we, yeah I do, okay, alright, you teach me, you’ll teach me. What was that, what was that? That’s what I call the massage scat session. Oh, alright. What’s that squeaking happening over there? Is his thigh squeakyyyyy? I mean, is this one of the biggest triangles you’ve ever seen made out of a leg? Uh, yes. It’s pretty big. Yikes! When somebody this big comes in, are you like, oh no. Sometimes I have to prep my mind. Cause I’m little, so, I’m like, oof. Place this right over your knee like this. Okay. And we’re gonna do one of the first permanent stretches. Oh, now this is called the figure four. Oh my goodness. I’ve seen this, I’ve seen this done by McValentine. Oh gosh. Oh, I mean. Carney’s getting excited on this one. Oh, oh yeah, look at that. Oh, wow. I mean that is crazy. Right on the foot. So you’re trying to make me submit. Relax more like you did. Okay. Alright. Oh my god. What do we, what do we think about Thai Massage? Uh, I gotta go back to Thailand. Yes. I mean, he took, he was in Thailand big time. My hands are a little bit sweaty. This, that, let me look at your Thailand. My Thailand right here was really heavy. so much to Meta and Ryan. Really appreciate it. Woo! Oh, yeah, thank y’all. Okay, wow. Hold on. What are, what are the scores? Um, I, uh, I like that one a lot. It’s kind of like a dance, you know? You’re both contributing. And you kind of feel like on the brink of injury the whole time. Yeah, yeah. But in like a tantalizing way. There’s a sense of danger. Uh, I really like it. I’m gonna give it a solid 91. I’m, well, okay. I’m gonna give it an 89. Okay, I think the main takeaway from all of this is that your collective favorite was a massage that you’d never even heard before. We’re so open to new things. Yeah, so Fijian comes out on top. Oh, it did? Yeah. Uh, just a point ahead of Deep Tissue and y’all were pretty much aligned the whole time in what you enjoyed. Fijian foot massage, it’s the future. It’s the new thing. It’s not foot massage. You gotta make sure you’re not just, you’ll be disappointed if you go to a foot massage place. Look for the pole. Thank you therapists, you guys are amazing. And thank you. We will tip, because, don’t Thank you for commenting and sharing this video. You know what time it is. Hello, Rhett and Link. My name is Rami Fahim, and I’m from Ruedistedt, Switzerland.
