What’s the best flavor of Oreo? Let’s talk about that. Good Mythical Morning. We’re about to try every Oreo flavor, but first, this portion of today’s episode is sponsored by Oura, creator of Oura Ring, the revolutionary smart ring. And this is how we hold our hands when we show off our rings. Yes, we do. Which are on our fingers. Mm-hmm. Where rings go. Now you know your boy, your boy being me, loves a late night snack. And I have a tendency to just be like, I’m gonna treat myself before I go to bed. And sometimes I’ll be like, I’m just gonna have a pickle because a pickle doesn’t have any calories, and it’ll make me feel a little bit full. But sometimes one pickle turns into five pickles and five pickles turns into a sleeve of cookies, a sleeve of cookies turns into, I need some protein, maybe I’ll just eat some lunch meat. And then lunch meat turns into, I need cheese to balance this lunch meat, and then I’m standing there eating a block of cheddar like it’s an apple. I mean, I do that, but it’s just in the realm of cereal. What am I gonna do with all this milk that’s left in the bottom of my bowl? Drink it. No, I’m gonna put more cereal in it. Oh, yes. What am I gonna do with this cereal that’s left in the bottom of my bowl milkless? Eat it. I’m No, I’m gonna pour milk on it. Oh, it never stops, it’s a cereal cycle. Cereal milk cycle. Okay. But here’s the thing. I’m not doing this nearly as much because of the feedback that I’m getting from my ring. Yes, it’s cutting down on late night snacks. We’ve noticed it not only affects our diet, but also our sleep quality, and our overall health. As investors in Oura, we found out how much your health is affected by a combination of multiple areas of your life, like diet, stress, activity, and sleep. And thanks again to Oura for sponsoring this portion of today’s episode. Mm-hmm. And welcome to the final episode of season 28. What a season it has been. Yes, it has. But listen, it ain’t over. Well, this is, I mean, the show’s not over. No. Because we’re cooking up even more exciting stuff for season 29, which begins on January 5th. And in the meantime, we are gonna be back here next week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for some brand new marathons and more. But now let’s eat some Oreos. It’s time for Gut Check, Oreo Edition. Okay, boys, today you’ll be tasting all 22 different kinds of Oreo cookies that have been available in stores in the US in the past year to decide which is the best of the best. Yes. In case you need a palate cleanser, we got some milk on standby. He needs it. Um, your first category is “stuf” with one F. These are Oreos with the classic white stuff in the center starting with classic. Oh, but to say. You guys are calling it white stuff. I was confused, like, this is a regular Oreo. It’s cream. Yeah. This tastes familiar. It’s a great ratio. Is it the golden ratio? No, I don’t, I I need more cream. Agreed. I’m gonna give it. 75. I’m gonna give it a 70. Golden. Look at that. Mm-hmm. It is just golden. How different does it taste? Has a slight lemon flavor to it. The subtlest lemon, there’s no lemon. I’m gonna tell you there’s no lemon. ‘Cause if there was, I’d taste it. ’cause I don’t like it. There’s no lemon. Not even a subtle. 70. I’m gonna give it a 68. Double Stuf. Okay. Now we’re talking. Here we go. That’s, that’s so much better. Mm, oh. It’s so much better, that’s a golden ratio. Yeah, I love the cream. 88. 86. Golden double stuf. Oh, I could have predicted. You still getting lemon, dude? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Ever so slightly. No. Am I wrong? Am I right? It’s a sweet vanilla. I’m, I, I, I’m 100% confident. Um, I just don’t 80 care enough. 75. Um, I mean, from everything that I’m seeing, it’s just like a vanilla. There’s no lemon. You don’t even need to look. Okay. Mega Stuf. Okay, I want. So is this double, double or is it triple? Yeah. Is it quadruple, or triple, thank you. Mm. Is that too much? Is that the bronze ratio? It’s uh, triple cream. Triple cream is, is across the line. Just it is just across the line. It’s just over the line. 74. 74. That concludes the “Stuf” category. Our next category is chocolate. We’re doing good. Yeah, we’re doing good at this. Starting with chocolate flavor cream. Ooh. So it’s a little redundant. So it’s just an Oreo with chocolate cream. Mm-hmm. I don’t know why we’re so suspicious. Yeah, you’re asking so many questions this gut check. Yeah, I know. I thought I tasted lemon and now I didn’t. You didn’t. Now you don’t taste vanilla or cream. It needs the cream. 52. It needs the cream. Mm-hmm. Well, it is cream. It needs the vanilla cream or whatever it needs white cream. 62. It needs the white stuff. Dark chocolate flavor cream. Hmm. Is it different? Yeah. I think the chocolate. It’s a little more bitter. I like it better. Yeah. I like it better too, because it, it at least is a new thing. 65. 61. Java chip flavored cream. We’re very close in our, um, our scoring. Java chip. Little adjustment required for that. My first impression is a negative one. It smells like coffee, but it tastes like refuse. Does it have pieces of, does it have pieces of coffee in it? No, the chip is the. I just don’t. The cho like a chocolate chip, it’s like coffee, chocolate chip cream, I think. I, I would like to love, but I don’t. Uh, I like it. 39. We’re gonna diverge a little bit here, but I think you have to. I, there was an adjustment period to that. Uh, 63. Chocolate covered pretzel. What. Really? So is the cookie distinctly different? Pretzel? Yeah. Oh, wow. Yes. The cookie has a buttery flavor to it. And that’s chocolate inside? Yes, and I don’t like it. I do like this one. I don’t like it. 79. I’m still on a 37. Loaded. With what? Cream. Well, there’s more Oreo cookie crumbs in the cream. Oh, it’s dirty cream. It’s a dirty triple stuff. That’s a missed marketing opportunity, you could have called it dirty cream. Have you had our dirty cream? That helps bring the ratio back into more of a double stuffed kind of place. It’s like cookies and cream cream inside the cookie. Yeah, but it’s a lot of cream. So it’s like cookies and cream cookies with cream. It’s cookies and cream. Cookies and cream. 83. Cookies and cream cream on cookies. That’s what it is. It’s cookies and cream cream on cookies. Yep. And you like it? 81. Reese’s Peanut Butter Flavor. Oh look. Peanut butter boys. I’m gonna have to do a palate cleanse before this to fully appreciate it. I’ve been palate cleansing the whole time. Mm. It’s got that pungent Reese’s aroma. I haven’t had these before. Hold on. Just in case you’re wondering. Oh, that’s pretty good. That’s really good. That, hmm? Crap. Okay. I’m gonna say something controversial here. Do you wanna give your score first or second? I really like it. I’m gonna give it 85. I think it takes an Oreo and makes it not an Oreo. It makes it peanut butter, which as a peanut butter boy, this is hard to say, but that’s not what an Oreo is. There are so many places that I can get chocolate and peanut butter together, that’s better than that. So you didn’t like it? It’s you not like it in principle or in practice? I, I’m gonna give it above a 50 because I would eat an entire box of them, probably because that’s just who I am. Okay. But I’m saying that compared to what an Oreo can be with the cream specifically, that’s not peanut butter flavored, the cookie and the cream going together, it’s, it’s a flavor combination that can’t be beat. Please just give it a number. 51. Okay. 51. It’s not good. It’s not good. Gut, it’s gut check, man. This isn’t, this is not impromptu speech check. Uh, well, I, I had to, I knew from the beginning, I just had to explain myself. Fudge covered. Look at that. It looks like a Girl Scout cookie. That’s decadent. This is a weekend Oreo. Feels pretty unnecessary to me. This is a, I’m out on the lake Oreo, you know what I’m saying? It’s good. 63. 60. Okay. White fudge covered. Ooh. White fudge covered was my nickname in high school. I was constantly covered in white fudge. What? Yeah. What are the, what are the implications of that? What? I’m sorry. I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Why you fudge? Yeah. Couldn’t help myself. Yeah. It wasn’t a reference to me personally. It was just a reference to my situation. 49. I like these better than the other ones. 67. That concludes the chocolate category. Our next and final category is miscellaneous, starting with mint flavor cream. You know, I don’t wanna like it. It’s not that it tastes bad, but that combination doesn’t have a place in my life. Mint is for after everything. No mint chocolate is, mint chocolate is just behind peanut butter and chocolate. In terms of chocolate flavor combinations, it doesn’t need to exist. Mint, mint is to move on from what you’ve eaten. And from some people’s palates, maybe. 29. I actually think that the chocolate of an Oreo. Just a number would be fine. As much of a compliment as you can make to mint just behind Andes mints. And I’m talking about mints from the Andes, right? You know what I’m talking about. So I’m gonna give this one an 88. Blueberry pie. What is this? So we got blueberry cream and we got pie. I mean, that is a, that is a deep royal blue cream. It’s very reminiscent of something. Something else that’s blueberry flavored. Like a Pop-Tart maybe. Yeah. What is it? Yeah. Is that what it tastes like? It’s totally, it’s a totally different realm. It’s just the form of an Oreo. What are the tongues looking like? Nothing. It didn’t happen. It’s stain free. I think it’s pretty good. I think it’s pretty good. Really strong, but it feels like a betrayal. Taste a betrayal. Yep. Yep, we’ve been jilted. 61. You were betrayed and you still went above 50. I ta It tasted good. 48. It just, you know, it can’t be. Apple pie a la mode. Oh, look at that. So it’s supposed to taste like there’s ice cream on it. They’ve done a real good job with the flavor here. That’s a, if you, if you think you like apple flavored cookies. I then I think you would. Then this is for you. That’s a, that’s a, that’s a 76. Not for me, but outta respect for what you’ve accomplished, I’m gonna give it a 61. You know, the icebox cake where you layer the Oreos and then the cream, and then the Oreos, and then you let it sit and it like soaks through a little bit? No, never had it. Well, I do think that you have both had it. ’cause I think I’ve give, I’ve, I’ve brought it to you, but with that apple pie. When I was sick. Would be, uh, we’ll talk about it later. Lemon flavor cream. So this is lemon flavor cream. No. Okay. This is triggering. See, I feel like this is a perfect palate cleanser. This is the type of cookie that my babysitter had growing up. Oh, that’s why you hate lemon cookies. She kicked me out into the yard so she could watch her soapbox. Throw cookies, throw cookies at you. She’d throw, come get a cookie. I’m still hungry. Sometimes she’d throw another cookie out the window. She’d put it on the windowsill. Young and the Restless isn’t over. Stay out there. Lemon cookies. Zero. Wow. A zero. Okay. Um, lemons don’t belong in cookies. 58. Toffee Crunch flavor cream. What? I’m getting tired of Oreo. I’ve never eaten as many Oreos in one sitting. I have. I never will again. Not this many different ones though. I hate this one. 17. I usually get through a sleeve. This is not great. Bad, bad, bad, bad. 38, ah. Peanut butter flavor cream. What? Hold on a second. But not Reese’s. Not Reese’s. Just peanut butter. Why? It’s, it’s different than the other one. It’s more peanutty. Yeah. It’s not Reese’s Cream. Less sugary. That’s interesting. You know what the peanut butter tastes like? The peanut butter on the inside of that Girl Scout cookie that has the peanut butter divot in it. They’re getting the same peanut butter, like it has the same flavor profile. Yeah. Which is good and better than Reese’s. I definitely like it just as much, I wish I knew what I scored. I think I scored an 80. 85. 85? 86. But I still feel like it’s a departure from what an Oreo should be. So I’ll give it a 77. Birthday cake flavor cream. Of course, but I’d expected it to be white. It’s just the cream. Mm-hmm. Not needed. You don’t need this in your house. Mm-hmm. It’s pretty accurate. It, it’s, it’s a pretty good birthday cake icing. Um, 33. 72. Ugh. Selena Gomez. I can’t keep going. This, hold on. This tastes like Selena. It is, uh, horchata inspired. Oh. Selena Gomez. Little cinnamon, which. She’s with, um. Steve Martin, and Martin Short, and Martin Short on that show. Right. That’s, that’s exactly what I was thinking. Oh, you mean in a relationship. Benny Blanco. That’s right. Um, they’re cute together. I, I’m not a huge cinnamon guy. It’s one of the things that doesn’t make things better for me. Um, I’m not bending over backwards. 59. 49. Post Malone. Okay, this is from our friend. Alright. We gotta love, we gotta love this. I will say I saw him standing in, uh, the grocery store one day, and I was like, is that, no, it’s just a, it’s just a placard. Um, he wasn’t in Ralph’s, but he was there next to his Oreos on display right before the Super Bowl. Mm-hmm. And I, and I purchased them for everyone, and I quite liked them. So I’m letting you know that I’m not just liking these because we, we, we are in a relationship with him. Well, I mean, we saw him after this and he, he was like, you. He, we were like talking about something else, we were hanging out and he was like, you eat my Oreo? He asked us if we tried. Well, he asked you that, that was after I told him that I ate his Oreo. Oh, you told him you ate his Oreo. And then he leaned over and asked me if I had tried it. Right. And the first thing I saw said when I saw him was, I ate your Oreo. Oh. His Oreo, by the way, is a chocolate top, a golden base, salted caramel and shortbread labor cream. It’s good. I will say it’s, it is quite a departure from a regular Oreo. Yeah, it’s. You gotta be in the right mood. I mean, it tastes good, but I mean, they’re throwing a lot at it. They, he came up with this flavor, he invented the flavor, okay? Mm-hmm. So if you’re, when you judge this, you are judging him and his opinions. Okay. Just you understand that. I’m just not a salted caramel guy. Oh God. I’m just not a salted caramel guy, I don’t know. It’s like, if you can’t be honest with your friends, who can you be honest to, you know, and I think this is what I told him, I’m not a salted caramel guy, but, you know, I’ll still give it 69, you know? Is that like a good compromise? Uh, I think it’s, it’s, it’s very good. But again, I, I like, I don’t like the departure from the regular cream as much, so I, I’m gonna give it a solid 74. That concludes the miscellaneous category you’ve now tasted every type of Oreo cookie available and your scores will be tabulated. You know, they’ve ranked all the Oreo flavors over at Sporked.com and their number one was not our number one. So if you wanna see that list, head to Sporked.com. Oh. Okay, we’re about to give you your top four Oreos to try again and crown your favorite as the Oreo with the best Scoreo, but first, your collective least favorite was Toffee Crunch Flavor Cream. Good. Rhett’s favorite was Mint Flavor Cream, and Link’s was double stuf. And your top four collectively, in no particular order, are peanut butter flavor cream, double stuf, loaded and golden double stuf. Bless you. Ugh. Okay. Oh, what, what was that middle part? What was that middle sneeze. Guys, I’m sneezing so much, I just don’t think I can eat anymore of these. Okay. So, uh, I guess we need to take them from their, just take them from themselves. I’m glad that the non Reese Oreo beat out the Reese. It’s better, but I don’t. They don’t need to be paying Reese’s for something like that. I don’t even think I need to taste it, because I already know that I don’t like it as much as, to me. Double stuf was awesome, but then. To me, it’s coming down to these two. Loaded, see, there’s more, and this is. But hold on, which one’s third? Let’s let, let’s get that outta the way. I think that the, Hmm, I don’t know. Maybe a good third is the peanut butter because. Yeah. Why get double golden double stuff when you can get regular. Golden is is not as good. You thought it had lemon in it. No, I thought that uh, the one without the double stuf had lemon in it. No, I did think it had lemon in it. I think it might have lemon in it. Let me prove, lemme prove myself wrong. I know everything, I mean that I need to know. Which is not everything. Lemon flavoring. You know what? It’s not there. Here. I think the peanut butter’s gotta be third. Yes, sir. Okay. Put that there. Put that there, we’re gonna put that there. And then, we’re gonna take this and I know what the answer is to this and we’re gonna, you wanna bite the back of these? Nope. I am not gonna take it personally. Double stuf or loaded. There’s more cream on the loaded and there’s more cookie in the cream. So this is a perfect Oreo. Boy, they’re really close. Yep. Alright. Alright. Your time is up so we’re gonna put, I’ll put this number two. That’s what I was saying. Yes. Double stuf, you didn’t make it to the top. That means that the Oreo with the best Scoreo. Oh God, we don’t even need that Rhett. Oh God. Is loaded. What? All right. That’s a wrap on season 28, but come back Monday for our top five unhinged moments of 2025.
