- We're tasting candy brand collabs.
- Let's talk about that.
(lively music)
- Good Mythical Morning.
- We're about to test some
crazy candy brand collabs,
but first, this portion of
today's episode is sponsored
by AG1, the daily health drink
that combines your multivitamin,
pre and probiotics, super foods,
and antioxidants into
one simple green scoop.
- Yes, we're going to be eating
a lot of candy this episode,
and I wish I could say I was
immune to the sugary goodness,
but I most definitely am not.
- I don't think I have
an addictive personality,
but I do think I have
an addiction to water.
I have sparkling water every night,
and then I have regular water
at my bedside at all times.
- That is definitely a problem
you need to talk to someone about.
(Link laughs)
- While it can't help you
with your overall willpower,
AG1 Pro has immune supporting
ingredients like vitamin C,
zinc, and more to help your
body handle seasonal stress.
- To further your immune defenses,
like for when you're
eating a lot of candy,
AG1 Pro supports digestive lining health
and gut barrier integrity.
- It comes with these individual packets
that you can take anywhere, anytime.
All you got to do is mix it
in with at least 10 ounces
of water, which-
- Oh, we know who likes that.
- I got it, buddy. You're good to go.
- AG1 Pro has creatine, that's
something I take every day,
and a comprehensive vitamin
and mineral blend to help you
stay strong and energized too.
- For a limited time through our link,
get a free immune support bundle.
That's omega-3 fish oil
and vitamin D3 plus K2 with
your first subscription
of AG1 Pro or AG1 Next Gen.
- And thanks again to
AG1 for sponsoring this
portion of today's episode.
Now, you can't throw a rock
these days without hitting a new
brand collab, and apparently the
candy brands are getting in on it.
- I'll believe it when I eat it.
It's time for Colabsolute Chaos.
(graphic whooshes)
- Earlier this year, we
tried Mountain Dew flavored
Trolli's, okay?
And now we have the opposite.
They're finding so many
ways to get together.
We've got Trolli flavored Mountain Dew
and specifically the
mango pineapple punch.
Now before we did say this
was a justified collab.
We said we liked it, those
Mountain Dew flavored Trolli's.
- Okay. This is a beautiful can.
I just love what you've done
to the Dew, Mountain Dew.
- What turns you on about it?
- I don't know, just
the color combination.
Yeah, that's nice.
- I mean, I can't remember
our convention for this.
Do we try the two things together
or we just try the thing first?
Why don't we try the thing first, right?
- It's up to us.
- I don't know.
I'm making this up as I go along,
but it feels like you try the thing
that they're selling and you're like-
- We can do whatever we want.
- Well, maybe I could do this at home.
- All right.
- Now we could drink out of the same can,
but especially now,
because this morning,
Rhett discovered something.
- After 49 years on this earth,
I got my first cold sore.
- Just call it what it is, Rhett.
- I now have herpes
and I guaran-damn-tee
you I got it from you.
(group laughs)
- I gave Rhett herpes.
- Sometime in this last 20 something
years of us, maybe 40
something years of us eating
after each other, I read
that it is not unusual
to have your first cold
sore in your 40s.
- Call it a fever blister.
- And you may have-
- Said cold sore.
- had it for 20 years
and it finally just popped up.
But you can't really see it
because my lips are covered,
you can't really see my lips.
But yeah, I got a cold sore. Thanks, bro.
- You're welcome, dude.
Now don't give it to Jesse now.
- Yeah, there's a few things
that we can't do for a while.
- Okay. You could have thought that.
All right.
So now we've got-
- Hold on,
well how do you feel about that?
- I love it. Thanks for asking.
- It's really sweet.
It's really sweet.
But I mean, you know you're getting into
that when you are getting Mountain Dew.
- This is just 170 calorie
chock full of sugar sweet treat.
It's not for daily consumption.
- Now last time we just poured
a bunch of Mountain Dew in
that bag, but since we're
testing the opposite,
maybe we do the opposite.
Here is a mango one.
These are spicy and there's no-
- Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- There's no spice-
- There's a reaction.
in the drink.
So that's the only change.
- There's a chemical reaction.
- They went non-spicy.
Oh yeah. It's just-
- Maybe just because I'm
putting more stuff into it.
- Just gesticulating.
- Oh, oh.
(Link slurps soda)
- Oh wow.
- Look at that.
- We're making science come
out of a Mountain Dew can.
- Well, first of all, it
doesn't taste anything like it
because the Mountain Dew
flavor is just overwhelming
when you' drinking
straight up Mountain Dew.
- If buying this prevents you
from doing this plus this,
you've net made a better decision.
- This is a little
troublesome, don't you think?
- Yeah, cumbersome.
In terms of the flavors, ooh,
there is a little bit of spice.
I'm glad they didn't send
the spice into the drink.
I think that's a good call.
- This is actually a better flavor.
I think the way that they are
married in this is better.
And as you already said,
the can is beautiful.
Did we say that?
- The can is beautiful.
It's a collector's item.
You really should collect it.
- All right. So we're
going to say this is a
(bright music)
justified collab.
This is a little exciting,
Snickers cookie dough?
- I love me some cookie dough.
These are both edible
before baking, even though you can still
bake them into cookies.
Why bake a cookie when
you can just eat it?
Less prep, tastes that much better.
- Hold on, don't start over there.
- Oh yeah.
So the Sickers cookie dough.
- Remember the system, son.
- [Link] What is in the cookie dough?
- Everything that's in
the Snickers, chocolate,
caramel and peanuts, I guess.
- I guess so too.
- So you're going cookie first.
- That is a good, good cookie.
- Almost has a peanut butter
flavor to it because of the peanuts.
- Yeah, there is a hint to that.
Man, I'm really excited
to go into the dough though.
Hmm.
I don't love a lot
of particulates in my
cookie dough usually.
- Particulates?
- I like a smooth cookie dough.
- I think I do like the particulates.
- Ooh, that's good though.
Having that just peanuts.
- That's really good.
- Peanuts in there.
- You knew this was going to be good,
but listen, maybe you can't go
to the store right now,
but what you do have
is a Snickers.
- You have herpes.
(group laughs)
(laughs) You have herpes.
- So do you, man.
- All these years of making fun
of me having herpes and now you got it
and you're like, "Well, you know 64%
of the adult population has it."
- Well, the funny thing is,
is the moment that I realized I had it,
I wanted to know how
many other people had it.
You've had it all this time and had
no idea that it was so common.
You could have said that
the first time we ever
made fun of you for having it.
You could be like, "Most people have it
and we would have stopped."
But you didn't know the facts, man.
You got to know the facts.
- No, no, no. I like being special.
I just ate the cookie
dough without the Snickers.
- Could you hand me half the Snickers?
- Oh yeah.
- Oh, there's nougat too.
We forgot about nougat
when we were listening,
listening.
- I think that's the whiteness.
Got this plus this.
- This feels wrong.
At least this is like a cookie.
- Wrong in a naughty, good way.
- If you're going into your cupboard,
grabbing Snickers and cookie
dough and just putting
them together eating like this.
- Yeah, you're in trouble.
- You can't do that on a regular basis.
- No, don't do that on a regular basis.
But since it's here and I'm here-
- But if you want to do it, it is good.
What if I took a snicker?
- It's just so decadent.
- And then I took Snickers dough.
- What is he going to do?
- And a Snickers cookie.
- What is he going to do?
You're crazy.
- So there's triple snickers.
- What? Dude.
I just think this is
a pristine experience.
- I might need to step out.
(group laughs)
I don't really believe
in the concept of sin,
but I believe I just did.
- We're doing it right now.
Sin. That's gluttony.
I'm having to stop myself.
- Oh my God.
- That is too good.
- Yeah. I got to get this out of my hand.
- There's no mystery here,
this is a justified collab.
(bright music)
- Go for it.
- Choopa Chups.
- Choopa Chups, Choopa Chups.
Not a big sucker guy, but
these things are cool looking.
- I can't say that I
have a lot of experience
with this particular brand of sucker.
- Did you know that the logo was created
by Salvador Dali?
- Yeah, I know about Salvador's.
I know I go so deep with Dali trivia.
- Salvado Dali did that, Choopa Chups.
It's a very good logo.
- How does an adult man get into a sucker?
- Have we said that this is an Ikea
Lingenberry meatball collaboration?
- (laughs) Oh yeah, we have not said that.
- Yeah, this is a
meatball flavored sucker.
- Which they don't sell.
It says it on here.
It's a free sample.
- I'm going to need a knife
to get into this thing.
- Free sample.
We went to an Ikea and
pocketed these back in June
when they were giving them out.
I've been to Ikea and eaten a meatball.
- Boy, these are tough to get into.
- Yeah, and they have that
the lingenberry sauce on them.
So that's kind of, I think maybe
that's why these felt
like they could be done
because you got meat,
but also the fruit taste.
- Yeah, and there it is.
- And you, oh, this is a joke.
(group laughs)
It's a joke. It's a joke thing.
- It's a marketing point.
- It's a little marketing thing.
- It's just a little, raise
your awareness of the brand.
(group laughs)
- But I mean, maybe it's a good idea.
- I don't hate it.
- Maybe somebody thought of this.
- But I don't like it.
But I don't really like suckers.
- Maybe somebody-
- Who are suckers for?
People trying to look sexy?
(group laughs)
- Children, I think, actually.
So that's interesting.
- I mean, why do adults need suckers?
- They don't.
- To look sexy.
- Do anybody-
- Don't look away.
- Anybody suck suckers? Sucker people?
- Come on. Fellow herpes haver.
- I'm not going to watch you.
Here's what I'm going to do.
This is my technique.
(group laughs)
So I do a little sucky suck,
and then I go over the top.
- [Link] Sucky suck.
- You have to bite,
you have to,
(group laughs)
try to pull the meat over the sucker.
(wrapper crinkles)
Mmm. Mmm.
- I'm trying to get my
meat around my sucker.
- Boy, the real meat thing is great.
The fake meat doesn't taste
as good as the real meat.
I can't seem to get to the meat
that's right under the sucker.
- It looks like I put a wig on a sucker.
I put a meat wig on a sucker.
Somebody put some eyes
and a mouth on that thing,
make it talk, you know?
Annoying orange or something.
(group laughs)
It's like a Beetle.
Is that like a Beetles haircut?
- I can see it.
I see it. I see what you're talking about.
- Paul McCartney.
Those are some good meatballs.
- Oh, really are.
- I mean, it's the only reason I go
to Ikea, because if you just
go there, you won't get lost.
Go to the cafeteria, then
leave. It's very cheap too.
- I don't know what to tell you
because I think that what
we're doing with the meat
and the lollipops,
that's the thing that you should be doing.
This was unnecessary.
We're not going to fall for
your little brand stunt.
- No, we're not.
- We're not going to put it on our show.
So we're going to say
back to the lab.
(buzzer buzzes)
We're doing our very first
ever live holiday special,
a very Mythical Holiday Special.
- It has so much goodness in it.
Original songs, music video, sketches,
special guests, and more.
- Yes, we dug very deep
into our creative pockets
to make a very, very special night
that we are incredibly
excited to share with you.
- November 20th, 10: PM
Eastern, 7:00 PM Pacific.
Get your tickets now at mythical.com/live.
- All right. We're still in very much,
you did not know you
needed this territory.
Ring Pop flavored liquid
IV, sugar-free version.
- Let's give this a little taste.
- Ring Pops are not
necessarily known for their
incredible flavor.
I mean, it's the form factor.
- It's cherry.
- It's cherry.
- Cherry. It's cherry.
It's cherry.
(Link smacks lips)
- Strong.
- It's very, very cherry.
- And very hydrating.
- Ooh, that's sour. I'm okay with it.
There's a nostalgia to the Ring Pop.
- I don't sip my electrolytes,
I just throw them back.
- I mean, adults don't,
we don't have ring pops,
but we have this stuff in our lives,
so we want to have the nostalgia
of still experiencing a Ring Pop.
I mean, why would an
adult need a Ring Pop?
To be sexy?
Nope, not going to happen.
See, I already learned my lesson.
- Could you hand me
some liquid IV, please?
- Certainly. Now that you got herpes,
the whole world has opened up for you.
- Are there conventions? Support groups?
Discord?
- No, there's-
- Or a subreddit? (laughs)
Is there a herpes subreddit? (laughs)
- You know what? I haven't done that.
- Well, you should. You know
I'm going to be on there.
- No, what you have is-
- I'm going to have so much karma.
- Just a constant vigilance
for any type of lip tingle
that could turn into just a disastrous
explosion on your mouth.
- Well, the funny thing is,
is I didn't even feel any lip
tingle because I wasn't
even attuned to it.
The first thing that I
noticed was a little sore,
and you were like, "Oh, it's not herpes.
It would be hurting and
you'd be feeling this."
And I was like-
- You'd have blisters.
And then you-
- And then the blisters came.
- Then you went home
and he got the blisters.
- The blisters came.
- You got to carry pills.
- When the blister showed up.
- You can take one every day.
- I call it my friend.
- But I just take one
when I feel the tingle.
But you have to get in
touch with the tingle,
but I'll just take the antiviral
medication if I need to.
It's a lifestyle.
There you go.
- You got to go thick.
- I don't really think that
what you're doing is the right way
because it's the Ring
Pop inside of the drink,
not the drink on the Ring Pop, but try it.
I'll try another way.
- Mm, mm, mm.
Whoa.
- Trying to...
- That's strong.
That might heal me.
(Ring Pop banging)
What you doing over there?
- This is indestructible.
I'm trying to shave it.
- A ring pop can only be licked.
- Do you have a hammer?
- Oh, that wasn't good.
I'll be honest with you.
What I just did is not good.
- Indestructible.
- It's absolutely awful.
- I'm going to lose a tooth.
I want to pulverize this.
Ah, there we go.
And then I want to put it down in there.
(Ring Pop smashes)
There we go.
All you needed was a spoon.
Thank you.
- Oh, look what it's doing.
- Oh, look at that.
Oh, that's pretty.
Look at that.
- Looks like a...
- Look at that.
- It looks like a
cocktail on the west side.
(group laughs)
Oh.
Okay. They got a hammer for you.
(group laughs)
How is that?
- I need to get it out of the bottom.
- Okay. Why don't you hit the bottom
of the glass with a hammer then?
Please, please, please,
please, please, please.
Please don't do that. I can say right now
that I don't like doing
the original thing,
so I'm going to pass on that.
So that doesn't work, but does this work?
- I'm fine with this.
There's no other way you're going
to get Ring Pops back
into your adult life.
- I think it's a little bit of an
abomination, can I just say that?
- An abomination?
- I think if you're in the hydration game,
you should just accept it for what it is.
It's not supposed to be fun.
It's supposed to be a
function that you need
to perform in order
to maintain optimal
health as you grow older.
- Tell that to the Mormon ladies.
- Say less.
- They stir all types of stuff.
(group laughs)
What?
- We've been trying to find
ways that you say less more.
- And I don't know how to,
I don't know what it means.
- We haven't really figured
out the right time to say it.
So I've just been saying
it at certain times.
Usually when I want them to say more.
- Right? That's how you use it, right?
It's facetious.
- Right. We have herpes.
- Yeah, yeah. Say less.
- I'm trying to say this
is a light justified.
- Okay. We're going to say
light justified collab.
(bright music)
Sour Patch Kids Oreo.
- No. Uh-uh. I don't like it.
Don't put candy in my cookies.
- Too late!
- Cookie and candy should be separate.
I know you might think cookies
as candy, but you know what I mean.
- You don't like putting M&M,
you don't like M&Ms in cookies.
- I don't.
- As an example. I love.
- Nope.
- I love them.
- Anti that.
- You know the best cookie?
That cookie that's just got a
Hershey's Kiss right in the middle.
- [Jennifer] I will note you just said yes
to the Snicker cookies.
- Yep. Yep.
- Thank you for pointing
that out, Jennifer.
- Yeah, I know it's a candy bar,
but it's not like a
fruity or a hard candy.
- [Jennifer] Okay, you're saying
like a gummy or hard candy.
- When I think of candy, I
don't think of candy bars.
- This is interesting.
- Candy bars aren't candy
in my definition.
- They're just bars?
- Yeah. This is not...
- These are-
- It's not bad.
- Let me just say, at first
it just tastes like one
of those blonde Oreos with
a little fruity flavor.
Then towards the back end,
it starts hitting you with the sour.
I've never had sour on the
back end as an aftertaste.
Sour is usually a fore-taste.
- You're opening all types of doors.
This is what herpes gives you, man.
- It makes me smarter?
- A new perspective. Yes.
- Okay. Well,
- Let's mix them up.
- [Rhett] How are we going to do this?
- Why?
- I mean-
I think my herpes is giving me an idea.
(group laughs)
- You going stacky stacky?
- No, I'm going to do something even
more sinister than that.
- Oh.
(group laughs)
Come on now. Come on.
Sometimes our level of
research takes time.
- Now, depending on the type
of person you are, you
might want to look away.
- Oh!
- Hey, it's just the herpes
making me smarter, man.
- (laughs) You grody.
- But hold on.
If I made this for you, (laughs)
if grandma made this
for you and just you brought
it up to you, you wouldn't know.
- I wouldn't know.
- You wouldn't know
the difference.
- You're like, "Where'd that come from?"
- Can I give myself double
herpes if I do this?
- You'd only be smarter.
(cookie crunches)
- That's juicy.
- I hate it.
- Listen, you think it's hard
to watch. It's hard to do.
- I'm just...
You're going to have to love this.
You're going to have to love it so hard.
- I think this is a feat of engineering,
and I think the fact that I'm
tasting sour on the back end.
- Sour on the back end.
- I like this.
And I feel like last time you made me do a
light justified collab,
so this time I'm going
to make you do a light
justified collab, but you have to say it.
- All right. So we're saying this is a
light justified collab.
(bright music)
- This one doesn't actually
exist in the real world.
It exists in this fake
world that we have created
because the Mythical
kitcheneers have made for us
Jolly Rancher Uncrustables,
two of the best things for children.
- And adults, come on.
- Mixed together.
- It's one of the few
candies that I'm actually...
Okay. I'll take a little green apple.
- But would you want it
in your Uncrustables?
- Maybe. I mean-
- I've got green.
- These are jellies, right?
- I've got red cherry,
- Cherry.
- Those are watermelon.
- Watermelon.
And I've got blue raspberry.
- [Jennifer] Correct.
- I'm going to go blue raspberry.
- This is beautiful.
Yeah.
Since the green apple is
my go-to Jolly Rancher,
I'm going to go for a green...
Did you actually infuse the Jolly Ranch?
- [Jennifer] Yeah. So we
made our own Jolly Jelly.
So what we did was we tasted...
We basically reverse engineered the flavor
of a Jolly Rancher.
So we noticed they're really,
really more sour than we anticipated.
Oh. So there's a lot of citric acid.
There's a lot of corn syrup,
sugar, things like that.
And then we just added
a little bit of pectin.
- Wow.
- And we made our jolly jelly.
- Man, this could sell.
- It's very accurate.
- I mean, I can't believe
how well this is working.
- Good gosh. It's so...
- It's so full.
- It's plump.
Taste that apple and
see if it's different.
- You ripped?
- I ripped.
But at this point, it doesn't matter.
- I kind of think that I
don't want to get your herpes.
- Is it the same herpes?
- I think you have a weaker
version of herpes than me.
- You got big herpes?
(group laughs)
- I got big herpes.
- I got little herpes.
Well, I don't want to get big herpes
on top of little herpes.
- One day you'll grow
up to get big herpes,
unless they have a new procedure
where they can cut it right out.
You know what that's called? Herpesiotomy.
- (laughs) Okay. All right.
I was hoping for more.
(group laughs)
Okay. That's really good.
Honestly, because you're
already in decadent-
- Decadacande.
- Like decadent territory when
you're eating an Uncrustable.
(wrapper crinkles)
- It's so candy-ish.
- And the jelly-fied nature
of it is what makes it...
I just wiped my hands and
now they're slippery and I can't...
I'm having trouble opening things today.
- Jolly Ranch doesn't care
too much about their actual
thing being nice.
- Did Salvador Dali do this logo?
- Nope.
- Got a missed opportunity.
Let me get, ow.
I guess I'm going to get
an F in this assignment.
- I'm just going to press.
I'm going to...
No, here's what I'm going to do.
- You absolutely nailed
the flavor of Jolly Ranch.
- [Jennifer] Right on.
- I'm going to create a little slit.
So I'm just making a
little hole. Look at this.
Look at that. Look at that. Oh, look at...
Oh, it slides right in, like a doctor.
Like a doctor.
- Like a doctor?
(group laughs)
- [Crew] Trauma.
- I'm sorry to all doctors everywhere.
And so I think what I'm
going to do is I'm just...
Then I forget that I put it in there.
- Be careful where you bite, man.
- So you take a bite and I...
Nothing.
That's just Uncrustable.
And then you bite on
this and you're like, oh.
- Oh, yeah.
There's a piece of hard candy in there.
- But then you...
- Which you don't want that.
You don't want that.
- And you leave it in there.
- [Link] I mean, I just think-
- It's like sucking on a...
It's like making out with
somebody who's got one
tooth and just sucking on the tooth.
(group groans)
- I mean, everything
we've said today is just
so delectable.
- Hold on.
- Are you eating?
I hope you weren't trying to eat.
- If there was a woman who
was incredibly attractive
and the only thing
that was off about her
was she had one tooth,
you'd suck on that tooth.
You'd suck on that tooth.
You'd get everything you
could from that tooth.
I would.
That's all I'm saying.
Maybe I'm just speaking for myself.
Sorry.
- Butter tooth.
- Butter tooth.
- I definitely think this is-
- No, it's very pristine.
- Okay. Can we-
- It's one tooth,
but it's very white.
- I though we were done. But go ahead.
- No, no.
- It's very clean.
- I'm just saying it's
one really good tooth.
- It's a clean stout tooth.
- I'm not sucking on a rotten ass tooth.
I'm not doing that.
- No, no, no.
- She's hot and she's got one really good
tooth right in the middle.
(group laughs)
On the bottom.
- Say less?
(group laughs)
- See, it works.
You understand.
- It's on the bottom?
- It's on the bottom. Right in the middle.
Justified collab.
(bright music)
- You want to suck on my tooth?
- Oh God. No, now, now that
I see it, I take it all back.
Forget I ever said it.
Thanks for being your Mythical best.
- You know what time it is.

and it's time to spin
the wheel of mythicality.
(both laugh)

- Well done, sir.
Okay. Wow.
That's incredible. Let's give
$1,000 to United We Dream

And you can join us in
giving at the link below.

alive- Yeah … you gotta conserve air.
Okay.
Well, l- let's divide it up.
I'll breathe my air, you breathe your air.
That makes complete sense.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on.
Are you… You're wafting?
No, no, no.
I'm, I'm just stretching my elbow.
No, you were wafting from my side.
How many times did you waft?
Three.
Okay.
Okay, we're even.
But your hand's bigger than my hand.
Okay.
Well, I'm gonna do a little
half waft with my left hand.
Now- I don't want your air.
It tastes funny.
What's the last thing you ate?
A solitary deviled egg.
I'm done
