conversations between us right well we talk a lot actually that we hope more than I’d like to engenders conversation amongst you people not only in the comments but in real life we’re going to call this a mythical connection because this letter that we received in the mail speaks of two mythical connections that happen in a young man’s life link so a mythical connection and we’re just inventing this term today this is when you have a connection with another person that is based on something that happen on this show and it’s it’s a super mythical connection if that person you did not know beforehand and now you know them that happened we’re gonna tell a story about that in it but is it also something that can just happen in your mind yes the second type of mythical connection is a mind mythical connection I just made that up it could be a mental myth a mental mythical connection that’s when you experience something in real life that relates to something that happened on this show and you now see it in a new light and experienced it in a more entertaining way a fulfilling way but it doesn’t involve another person though it’s a mind mythical connection if it’s just in your mind and you have to touch your forehead or our unibrow or whatever the case may be you don’t have to do that you know people touch their faces a lot during the day and it’s one of the reasons that they get sick I have made a personal commitment to stop touching my face right now I will not touch my face the rest of this episode so are you transferring that to other people like oh now you feel like touching other people’s faces because that’s that’s a level of intimacy that is not appropriate when I feel tempted to touch my face I’m just going to give the thumbs up you’re going to give yourself a thumbs up in order to alleviate your desire to touch your own you have to have something to channel it into it’s pretty self affirming so yeah I don’t I don’t think there’s any harm in it hey you’re gonna lose friends but I don’t care I’m having a good time this morning I hope you are this letter it came in the mail it was written on paper that still happens this letter came from Steve Stacy Steve I think he’s a student at Appalachian State University because he says he goes to school in Boone that’s where Appalachian State University is but he is from Fuquay Varina our hometown in North Carolina mm-hmm-hmm now he tell he tells us a couple of things he thanks us for making good mythical morning your walk were you’re welcome Steve but he says I saw a girl the other day a cute one by the way who had a rhettandlink pin on her bag mmm he was also wearing some semi cool boots so while standing in line at the register I tapped her on the shoulder and said in my Rhett imitation voice I like you boots emphasis on the T she laughed mythical connection now they’re friends now he in case you didn’t see this episode an earlier episode of good mythical morning I suggested in links gold invites for single guys to just go up and talk to somebody and I use the example of talking to not talking to Miss Perfect right it was just a Jill Wagner pretty girl that we never talked to and hopefully this this guy Jill Wagner has still not responded to any of the tweets that were made to her site her being on the episode but Steve took my advice and if you see a girl that you don’t know that you want to talk to seize the moment and talk to her and even when a step further and he used your stupid advice and said I like your boots he uses on the teehee that’s why it makes such a great mythical connection he took our combined advice applied it in real life and now he’s got a friend and I don’t know if you thanks a rim actually ya know they’re engaged you didn’t read the back oh yeah they’re getting married and we’re engaged May 17th all right that’s not parts not true congratulations already made you feel uncomfortable Steve and friend uh probably ruined your life today but that’s okay cuz you made everyone else’s life better but he saw the rhett and Link pin and then he knew if he said I like your boots which he did have on boots that she would most likely he took a little risk maybe she didn’t see that episode I like Steve maybe she I don’t even know him and I like him already you you he has another story – it’s easy to like people who like you yeah so you’re not really saying much um he says while walking to class today I walk past the new building under construction this guy’s full of stories yeah agent long letter and heard a man shout hardhat numbers it something else mumble mumble mumble is way it’s written here and this happened like three or four times I thought of rest construction story and chuckled to myself so what could have just been walking by a construction site and hearing it a good old boy say her hat which I mean that’s kind of funny but it’s not that satisfying right it’s just kind of like okay so what right but when somebody’s calling me maybe it’s Steve I didn’t give him my number though that we haven’t gotten there yet your wife calling well honey you’re gonna have to wait what could have just been hard hat became a mythical magical mental mythical connect she touched his forehead and it and he was entertained in that moment yes here II accessed a discussion that we had and that he participated in as a viewer and it ended enriched I’d like to think it enriched his life Steve thanks for sending us a letter thanks for helping us begin this new mission for more people to have mythical connections both personal medical connection and mental mythical but look okay I had and I heard a caught wind I received a phone call actually of another sort of mythical connection that was amazing because it took two different things that we talked about Pro and combined them into a third thing which is even more amazing even though I was only hearing about it over the telephone oh well Christy gives me a call that’s your wife and she says you will not believe what’s happening right now did you break in guessing no I was just like okay just tell me yeah I’m not one of those guys who just guesses when I actually want to know there could be anything you know she said I’m I’m at the park where the pole dancer was Oh now for those of you seen that episode she was at a park in a and a woman shows up and starts doing a pole dancing routine on the kids playground equipment whereupon Christy corral’s all the children and they they leave with their their you know the eyes being covered but so she decided to go back you know and this I don’t think it was the same park but then we also had a conversation about in that same episode about how a bunny was brought brought to another park and it just created all kinds of havoc you remember this the the bunny woman gets belligerent yeah and is upset that even though her bunnies on the playground equipment that the kids can’t touch it yeah bunny woman no I I mean I made the comment at the end of that episode now if the pole-dancing woman came back and incorporated a bunny into her routine or bigger thing that call me because I want to I want to show up for that I want to see that in action okay that’s just what I said so Christy calls me so the first thing I’m thinking is oh the pole dancing woman is back where the bunny and now she has a bunny but I didn’t guess that right because you were talking to Christy right and I just wanted her to just tell me yeah I didn’t want to dig a hole for myself right but she says I’m back at the park with the pole dancer and you’ll never guess what is here and I did say a pole dancer and she said no I said a bunny she said no and then she said your favorite animal this here if you watched best animal ever episode you know that my favorite animal best animal ever according to me miniature horse a miniature horse was that the part was it pole dancing no it was well it was kind of corralling around poles and things like that there was a woman handler there with it and the kids got their pictures taken with it there was some footage taken some blurry footage kind of big footage s footage I’m a mythical uh man is your horse spotting how amazing is that you talk about a mythical connection you go back to the park and it’s just my favorite animal is now at the crazy park I almost got my car and drove over there was a bunny riding on the back of them no bunny no pole dancer maybe in a couple weeks ago that would have been amazing we’ll be able to give another update but this woman was a lot nicer than the bunny woman she let the kids take the photos and she I I think it turned out to be a marketing ploy because she rents out her miniature horse yeah for kids birthday party take the horse to the park the kids get excited can I write it your first ones free son but if you if your birthday is in the next 365 days which I’m guessing it is you can pay to have this little miniature horse come to your party the first ones free kid it it’s actually a pretty good idea once you get hooked will charge you out the nose to ride on my miniature horse maybe that’s what the bunny woman was you did not speak like this no she was a woman who spoke she we were in more of a normal friendly tone listen this episode uh as you as you bring the wheel up behind you there link I want you to comment piece
