(rooster crowing) (lion roaring) – Short spin, welcome to Good Mythical More. – Check your voicemail, we got a voicemail. – All right, let’s hear it. – Let’s check it. – [Leif] Hey Rhett and Link, this is Leif Nielson, me and my friend Rex, we were just wanting to know if there’s a possibility using your names in our new book that we’re working on called “The Sound Effects of Chipper River”, that’d be great if you could let me know, thank you, bye. – The sound of sex in chipper river? – (laughing) Yeah that’s what he said. – That’s a good joke, Leif. But yeah, you know what, if you wanna signed copy of our book we’ll sell it to you on our website, how’s that? Somebody’s writing a book about us, but they’re the names of, oh that’s just a mind buster. – A mind buster. – It’s a new year, it’s a new season, we’re gonna take some eggs and we’re gonna try to protect them. We got new mugs on the table that are double sided. – Here’s a green one. There’s a blue one that’s floating around somewhere too. But they don’t actually float. – That’s got a little vodka in it. – They sink. But the stuff in it, stuff can float in the stuff you put in it, if you wanna do that. We’re also doing vlogs on the Rhett and Link channel, got the Mythical Kitchen channel starting up. Make sure you subscribe and click those bells. We’re saying click the bells this season. – Trying that for once. – We did the like experiment last season and we got a lot of likes, – I’m gonna blow my nose. but we couldn’t tell that – Don’t pay any attention. – much else happened. So it’s not that we don’t want likes, because you never know what YouTube is gonna factor in when they introduce our videos to people and we want people to be exposed to our videos. – Right. – As exposed as possible. Our job is to encapsulate these eggs so that when they are paint shaken, they do not break. And we can use anything that we want in this box including rubber bands, which I’m gonna use solely. – You know what, I’m gonna just use packing peanuts. (laughing) – Really? I’m gonna just do a layer of packing peanuts around this thing. – How you feel about 2020 so far, Rhett? – Man, 2020 is the best year that I’ve ever lived through where it was the same number repeated. – Yep, we’ve never done that. – Oh we’ve never done that? This is the first? – We weren’t in 1919. – Oh you know what, I just came up with a really good idea. – I think that would have been the only time when that would have happened. Now I thought this would be easy to put rubber bands around an egg, – I’m gonna line up a bunch of these. – Maybe this is the type of thing that like it takes a lot longer than we actually have for a Good Mythical More. – I’m gonna create a strip of packing peanuts that will then wrap around the egg. – ’cause the amount of rubber bands you need to do what I’m doing… – You know what, keep going, Link. It’ll be all right, it’ll work. – I mean an egg is pretty strong in and of itself. It’s made to withstand the, the more I put on, the more they pop off, the ones I’ve already put on. It’s made to withstand the impact of like a plop coming out of a hen’s vagina. (crew member chuckling) You know? If that’s the case. – You’re right about that. – Plop right out, so they don’t break. – I didn’t get long enough. There we go. – I wonder if I just took a whole bunch of, okay I’m moving on to plan B here. I’m gonna create a nest, I’m just gonna create a nest of rubber bands. And then I’m gonna tape. Let’s get rid of these eggs. I don’t need this, do you need that? – I will. – So this right here, boy we’re getting crafty. And then I got some painter’s tape here. I’ll wait if you’re also doing this at home. Okay you’re caught up, okay. – What are you doing over there? – Why you looking over here at me? – You might have something good going, I’m just interested in what packing peanuts can do. – I need some more here. – Now I gotta create the bed. – I’m gonna do another one. – Packing peanuts like this. Like a four by four platform. – You know I went for the longest time not liking eggs. – What? – You know this about me. I grew up not liking eggs, except for when my nanny would make them. She’d have that that cast iron skillet and she’s scramble an egg and she’d spread it out over that skillet and it’d be like razor thin and it would be like this little thin fried egg. It looked like I was eating a map. Like a continent, an egg continent on a map. This is gonna work, I should be in sports medicine. You know, this is the type of thing- – It’s not too late. – You got an injury? Got a little injury? I mean, there’s no way, I’m not even being facetious. There’s no way this is gonna crack, I mean this is fool proof. I bet you $100. – There’s definitely a high probability that mine is going to crack. – Andrew you wanna bet me $100? You think this is gonna crack? There’s no way it’s gonna crack. Who’s gonna sign for Andrew? No offense. (laughing) – What, like he’s not old enough? (laughing) – No, he’s not good for $100. – We need your parent or guardian. – I don’t wanna take your, who else thinks this is gonna crack? Nobody. All right here, you wanna try mine first? – I’m not done with mine, so you gotta keep going. – Well no, we’ll do ’em one at a time. What? What? – You have your own bucket. – Okay, you know, I want you to have that bucket. – Put it right in front of my thing I’m doing. – Okay. – Okay. – Let’s see where’s my pryer. This’ll work. – I think the Pryor family might be offended by the use of the word pryer. – Oh really? – Yep. Richard Pryor was a big proponent of free speech, so maybe it’s okay. – All right. Is this ready to go, Lucas? – [Lucas] Yep. – Now how long do I have to do it before I take your $100? You want the clamp on there, just for safety. Well for efficacy. All right here I’m going, three, two – Here I’m going. – One. (paint shaker rattling) I think it’s gonna be okay. It’s not even moving. All right so, you owe me $100. But then, I think the bigger thing we’ve learned beside Andrew’s a sucker, (laughing) is… It’s not gonna break, I’m telling you. – You don’t think an egg’s gonna break? – The egg is- – oh hold on, you can’t do that, you can’t steal my thunder- – That’s right, you’re gonna go first, but I’m laying claim to the fact that this right here aint gonna break. It aint gonna break. It’s gonna shake but it’s not gonna break. Shake and not break. – Okay I’ve got my- – ‘Cause that right there. – One layer of packing peanuts all the way around. – Yeah that’s gonna work, man. Totally gonna work. I would almost be willing to bet that I could put three eggs in here and none of ’em would break. – Screw it in. – Ready? – Yeah. (paint shaker rattling) – It’s getting tossed, it’s getting tossed. – [Link] Yours is bouncing. When it hits the edge, it does do a dance. See when it gets right there in the middle- – It just stays in the center, it’s not even moving. (paint shaker rattling) – Okay. – Good work. – You don’t think it’s gonna crack an egg? – No it’s not gonna crack this egg. – I think it’s not gonna crack it initially, and then it’s gonna get slung around and it’s gonna break it. I think it’s gonna take eight seconds to break. – You willing to put your money where your mouth is? – I bet you 20 cents. (laughing) – I just got $100, I’ll bet you $100. – That it’s gonna take, I think it will eventually break. – I’ll bet you 100 of Andrew’s dollars. – No I’m not gonna bet any big money, I don’t believe in this that much. Eight seconds just like a bull rider. – Three, two, one. – One, two, three, four, five, it’s not gonna break. You know why? If it was a regular paint can, I think it would break. The sides of this are so, it just keeps hitting this thing. – Yeah this is, it’s like a magic trick. Let’s put three in there and see if they’ll break. – Oh that’ll break. That’ll break. You can just put two in there, it’ll break. But put three in there for good measure. You wanna put my martini in there with it? Missed opportunity. – What do you mean? – Just do it, I think this has got to break, right? Eggs gotta break. – This is what happens in a hen’s vagina. It’s not gonna break. – One egg a day, man. – Action. Oh one broke. That one’s broke. (paint shaker rattling) that one broke. That one broke, ow. – I don’t think the other one’s gonna break. – It broke, all three are broken. – Okay pause it. – What if you threw your rubber band egg against the wall? Oh that broke. (all laughing) – Oh man, we gotta clean that up. Man, we gotta clean that up.
