GMMore 1842: Let’s Play: Reiko’s Fragments

(rooster crowing) (lion roaring) – Welcome to “Good Mythical Morning” We’re going to play a terrifying VR game called “Reiko’s Fragments.” I always get scared by these things, man, shoot. – But first, we’re going to give a $30 mythical store gift card to Tim Quisenberry. What a name. – [VOICE] Well, I’ve heard it before, Tim? – [VOICE] Yeah, Tim Quisenberry. – [VOICE] Quisenberry, now that’s a good name. – [VOICE] Because he posted a picture of himself with #merchicality spot, sporting. – Yeah, spotting that sporting that Mythical merch. – Congratulations. – You sport it and you get more of it. – Mr. Quisenberry, you’ve got mail (laughs). – Okay so, Rhett, you’re going to go first, and we’re going to switch, we’re going to switch up. In “Reiko’s Fragments,” which neither one of us have ever played so just bear with us, I’m told that you can, you can go to the website reikovr.com, put in the code, which I’ve done, and then you can add traps to the and, like, jump scares and stuff. Ooh, (whispers) one of them says headless. One of them says thunder. One of them says scream. – Okay, and I can– Okay, so right now I can see begin in front of me, and I can see all the people who have joined the room and might have put some traps for me. Are we ready to begin? – So, we got other Mythical crew members who are also doing what I’m doing which is adding boobalooalooby traps. – Okay, I’m going to begin. – Okay, it’d be nice to know why it…begin, yeah. – (clears throat) – Probably gonna. – (sighs). – I can– – Just behind the GMM desk, don’t, don’t fall for it, okay. – Now, your objective is what? To learn how to use your controllers. Is that a lettuce? A head of lettuce on the table? – Yeah, and I can grab it. Oh, you gotta explore the house, and find the real Reiko. Well, I don’t know what the fake Reiko looks like. Oh, look at that over there. What are these? Oh gosh, what is this? (yells) – Hey little woman. (screaming) You scared me and I’m not, aw. – That’s Chris’s fake doll. – Sound man Chris. – Well, that’s not very good hiding place. You just put it right there. – That literally scared me. Oh, do you see that flicker, Rhett? That scare you? – Well, I know that little girl over there is another fake thing (grunts). – (mimics grunt) How do you know another fake? – I’m gonna eat an apple. I’m scared. Oh oh oh, did you hear that door slam? That wasn’t me. (yells) – I did that. I whooshed you. – This is fine. Can I play the piano? – Can you play the piano? – Yeah. – You need to be looking for the doll, man. You’re knocking like it’s a door (laughs). Hey, hey wake up. You need to look for the doll. – All right, what’s another room here? Let’s see. Oh, I’m going to hit the doorframe. I’m too tall. Yep, I’m too tall. – Get shorter. Shrink down. – Oh guys, this is freaking looking at it freaking… Oh God. – All right, so, you’re in the hallway, right? – (screams) Why? Why? I’m coming in here. I know you’re nothing. You’re nothing. You’re all virtual. I know you’re not real (screams) – Oh my gosh! – (laughs) Stevie’s fake doll. – Stevie made a fake doll, go for the other doll. – [Stevie] I totally meant to do that. – These little girls are so scary (groans). (creepy child laughing) – Oh, that was my fake doll. – Good one, Link. – I was copying Stevie, I guess. – Stevie – Here’s a rabbit. I’m going to hold my rabbit. What is a real doll? How did the door close? – Go upstairs. Oh gosh. – (screams) – I did that. I slammed the door. – All right, you can do that? – Yeah, I did. I slammed it. You want it to flicker in here? – Gonna open it with a rabbit (pants). – (screams) Tried to scare you, didn’t work. Is that it? Is that a deer back there? Nope, it’s a coat rack. Go upstairs. – (yells) (grunts) (woman screaming) (grunts) – Don’t walk forward if you’re going to do that. Dude, you got eaten by, I think you found Reiko. – I think I died. Listen, I defended myself. I punched the crap out of that woman. (off-screen laughing) Okay, Link, it’s your turn. – You’re at the top of the leaderboard. Do you want to use my phone to add some havoc? – Sure. – Dang man, like. – I punched that lady. – Shoot, man, you got scared. – How does she kill me as many times as I punched her? Here you go. – Oh wow, what? – I also realized that I made punching sounds when I punch. If I ever get into a real fight, I think I’m gonna be like (grunts). Because that’s the closest I’ve gotten to a real physical fight in years. My heart’s racing. – I freaking hate this. Can you give me the things? – I’m checking my heart rate. – Rhett? Oh my gosh. – Put, hold these like a person before you… – Let me, I’ve played a Wii before. I know how to do this. – There, that’s right. All right. – Look at that, I’m at the top. I haven’t even played yet. – So, before Link plays this, well, I, like, spit all of my beard from punching. – Do I have these? Yeah. – You know what you should be doing besides playing VR and scaring your friends? – What? You should be looking out for yourself and your fellow human by wearing a mask. And, you know what? At mythical.com, we’ve got neon mythical masks that you can wear. They’re effective, they’ve got like a carbon filter in there and they’re stylish and they feel good on your face. – All right, we got John Wayne Chasey in here, that’s not gonna… Chris, Zach, join Rhett so you can… – How do I, what do I do? – Go to this. Use my code. All right, I’m going in. – Hold on, no, no, no, don’t go in yet. – Oh, can you not join anymore? – I don’t know. – There’s enough people. Oh my gosh. I was dropped in from the ceiling. Oh my God. Oh, my hands. My hands are backwards! Aw, crap! What the crap? – Oh yeah. How did you, you had that right, and then you turn it backwards. Now when I handed them to you– – You had them upside down like this. – When I handed them to you, they were right. You should switch them, it’s going to get confusing. Because you want the– – Oh gosh. – You want the grab part to be on the inside. – I don’t like switching when I’m oh. I’m in the freaking room, and I’m, I don’t even have hands. (yells) Okay. – What’s your goal? What are you trying to do? – I gotta find the, find my hands, okay. (metal screeching) There’s no, I don’t know what my goal is. – [Stevie] He’s trying to find the real doll. – He’s trying to find the real doll as well? – Oh, really? – Is it like Lars and the Real Doll? Is that the kind of relationship it is? (metal screeching) – Gimme that shirt. Am I shirtless? I’m actually invisible. – You have no, you don’t even have gloves on. Spin the globe, and we’ll go wherever you land. (loud screeching) (yells and laughs) – See, that’s not that stuff’s not going to scare me. (ominous ambient music) Oh my gosh. – Beautiful home. I love what they’d done with it. – I’m going to go upstairs ’cause you never went up there. Look at that creepy picture. – Yeah, she’s probably upstairs. What’s happening? – I’m losing my balance. Look at that family. (cracking) I’m coming for you, little girl. – Where all the little girls? There were so many when I was playing. – Y’all haven’t put any boogalooby traps out for me. Yeah, ’cause you started– – Oh, there she is. There she is. – Just go up to her. – (screams) – (laughs) – Okay, that’s Reiko’s fake doll. – Yeah, yeah. (off-screen laughing) – Talk to the hand, chick. – Go find me another one. – Gosh, it doesn’t matter how much I don’t want to be scared. – This one might be the real one. (metal clanging) – You see, that one didn’t scare me. That second fake doll. – Well yeah, ’cause it got dark. (screeching and glass shattering) – Yeah, how did it get dark? (metal scratching) – Throw items to distract. – Meiko follows sound. Throw items to distract. Well, I can’t grab any of that. – Grab with the other hand. Grab with the right hand. Throw it. Make some sound Meiko can hear you (laughs). – It didn’t make sound. I threw it at myself. (off-screening laughing) I’d like to throw it down there. – Well, then she’ll go– – Where did it go? – You picked the thing that doesn’t make a lotta noise. Pick something that makes more noise. Yeah, grab the chandelier. – Oh yeah, that works. I turned it off. (low, guttural clicking) Oh, I hear “The Grudge” sound. You hear that? – Go in there, to the left. – (screams) – Punch it, punch it! Punch that thing. Punch, punch it! – (grunts) (metallic clattering) Oh, I did. I punched her. She’s gone. Oh, she’s back. – No, she’s back. Don’t punch her, she’s going to kill you if you punch her. – (yells) – But she’s pretty slow, I think you can get by her. Go up there, and just sprint past that door. – (yells) Oh, that was you. – Go, go over here. – Oh my gosh. – Sprint past her. Go in the, go, go, go, go. Go left, go left. Get in, no, no, go left. Go, what are you doing? – Left, what? – Go into the room that she was in, but she wasn’t in it. – (screams) – (laughs) – (grunts at an increasingly high pitch) What’re you doing, girl? – Yeah, she got you. Yeah, we’re not– – Nothing about this as fun. Nothing! – No, no watching is fun. – (sighs) (cheerful pop music) My loins are are tight. – (laughs) – I hate this, man. – [VOICE] Protect yourself and others around you with our mythical neon face masks.
