GMMore 2400: Meet Our New Crew Members

Welcome to “Good Mythical More.” We just had our 2,400th episode of “Good Mythical Morning.” Can you believe it? And now we’re gonna celebrate it by introducing you to 24 members of the Mythical crew that you may not know. Because 2,400 has 24 in it. At the beginning. Yeah, yeah, and so there’s 24 people that we can introduce you to, so it’s like 24 and 24. It’s related. ‘Cause humans like to make those kinds of connections. Right. Our brains like to make connections. We’re meaning making- That don’t matter. We like to make connections that don’t matter. But these employees matter. But this matters, these people matters, the show matters, 2,400 maters, but I’m just saying- You matter. The 2,400 and the 24, putting that together, that doesn’t matter. That’s just for entertainment. Right, right. Thematic purposes. Would you like a random disturbing fact? Please. A dead counselor still attends University College London’s meetings. How does that happen? Hmm? A dead counselor? Hmm? So, like a, okay. Ooh. Yeah, give us the backstory on this. I can. Importing, that’s not it. Okay. It’s modeled- We’re getting there. 2,400 episodes in, things, sometimes things get a little, there’s a few bumps in the road. Right, listen, man, we’re constantly making things complex, you know what I’m saying. We gotta keep people guessing. It’s fun to hold this. You get to hold this all the time? Here’s what I think happens. I think there’s a dead counselor, who in his will said that he wanted to be in all the meetings and they were like, okay, well, if we cremate you- Oh, you think it’s dust. You don’t think he’s stuffed. I think he’s ashes and I think that he’s- Mummified. An urn in this room. So close. 18th century philosopher, scholar and one of the founders of UCL, Jeremy Bentham died in 1832, but that didn’t stop him continuing to attend meetings. His skeleton can now be found in the halls of UCL, dressed up in his clothes and stuffed with straw and has been attendance at UCL council meetings on at least one recorded occasion in 2013. I remember this, Jeremy Bentham. We talked about this guy. Then it notes he’s recorded as present, but not voting. Oh. Back in the day, I think we had a convo. Let’s bring in some Mythical crew members to celebrate 2,400 episodes. These are our first three. We’ll let you guys introduce yourselves and what you do here because, not that we don’t know, come on up, don’t be shy. Okay. Not that we don’t know or anything, it’s just that it’s better to hear it in your own words. Okay. Tally. In whatever order you prefer. I prefer Tally. Yeah, Tally. My name’s Tally and I’m the associate sound mixer here at Mythical. Yep, lapel placer. I place my own lapel. Lapel? That’s what I call a lav. Okay. That’s his subtle way of saying he wants it on his lapel. This thing right here. He wants it on his lapel. This thing, I don’t know why I call it, I usually call it a lav. Okay. Some people call it a lav. I’m just gonna just, I’m gonna step in real quick before we hear from Chris and I’m gonna just say a little something that is potentially happening right here. Okay, we all love Link, he’s a wonderful guy and he’s really entertaining and one of the reasons he’s entertaining is he steps into things that he does not realize he’s stepping into. And this is very reminiscent of his rehearsal dinner, where he began to say personal things about how he knows a person at a table and then eventually it got to people that he did not know and has never met. So, if he continues down this path of having an interaction about what he thinks about this person and what they do, we’re gonna run pretty quickly into people that he may not have had any interactions with. This is a large company. We have a hybrid schedule where some people are in, some people are out. And I’m just kind of setting the stage for that because what I’m not gonna do is I’m not gonna do that. Because I enjoy being entertained by him in the same way that you do. Thank you. I do reserve the right to possess any of these 24 crew members. Okay. With my past self. Okay. At any point. Chris, are you cool with that? Yeah, sure, I’m fine. Tell them. I’m Chris Kramer, I’m the operations assistant. What’s your favorite thing about working here? The operations. I’m Navia, the editorial intern. Thank you for setting the stage. I am the intern, it’s nice to meet you. My favorite thing is the bidets, I really love them. Thank you for that. Oh. You know what? The means a lot. And listen- She said nice to meet you, she just met us. At Sporked, at Sporked. At Sporked. At Sporked, yes. Over there at Sporked. Yes. And this is, I mean, listen, the internship program here at Mythical. Let’s stop, you guys can file out, that was great. Thank you. I mean, we have 24. Keep going. Forget it, I guess. No, keep going. What? Let’s bring in three more. We’ve got five- They’re all entertaining. We’ve got five, just on the Mythical side, right, we’ve got five interns that are coming in for our internship program and we had over 2,300 applications. I mean, it ain’t easy to pick the five, so, I mean, Navia rose to the top. Navia’s not here anymore. That’s Dylan. Let’s start over here with Dylan. I’m Dylan. I am an editor and camera operator for Rhett & Link content. Got anything to say? Great, you do a great job. You do great work. Thank you. Yep. Filming us for the Rhett & Link channel. You know, it’s always an adventure. Yeah. Did you know what you were signing up for? I did, I think. Okay, you’re getting what you came for? I am, I think. Okay. Direct access to us. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely, which is nice. It’s a high-profile position. Okay. I didn’t say that. I’m just joking. I mean, you follow us around with a camera and you edit out all the stuff that no one should ever see. Correct. Right. Yeah. That’s a powerful position. You see us at our worst. Perhaps. Yeah. And my dog, my dog, as well. Oh, your dog. Your dog helps you? Yeah, he helps me sometimes. Okay. Has his own keyboard? That’s weird. Yeah, he just watches me edit and it’s fun. What are he dog hot keys for Adobe Premier? I love how there’s no eye contact. That’s one of my rules, I don’t look at the employees. It’s usually the opposite. You can look at me all you want, I won’t look at you. See, see, you can do it. Yeah, right. Do what? Make it weird. I can, I can, yeah, I still got it. Give me some of that. Karlie. Hi, I’m Karlie, I’m the office manager here at Mythical. Okay, and you’re not, you’re not related to anybody else who works here. I am related to somebody here. I’m related to Kalyn. She’s a writer, you may have seen her. She speaks a lot of languages. But enough about her, back to you. Yeah, I keep the headquarters cute. I keep it running, make sure everyone’s fed. I get to talk to everybody, it’s really great. Yep. Yep. There’s little candies that are in a bowl at the front. Yeah. Right in front of her. It’s hard not to get one. It’s hard not to get one. And you keep track of who takes them? No, I do know who visits a few times a day, though. Oh, a few times a day. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Who gets- I refill it a couple times a day. Okay, who gets the most candies? Let’s call somebody out. Is it him? No, actually, I’m actually, right now I’m in a good place. You’re a good boy right now. I’ve been such a good boy for like a couple of months. I haven’t even touched that bowl. I don’t even look at it when I go by. I look at it. I don’t look at Karlie either, ’cause she’s an employee. What do I care most about? Half and half. That’s right. Because- We always have it. Because what’s not half and half? Fat free half and half. That’s right. That’s fat free half and half. Right, there’s literally not half of what you need. Right. ‘Cause half of it is fat. For real. So, fat free half and half is just fat free half. Let’s hear it, Jake. Yeah, I’m Jake and I’m the assistant editor here at Mythical. Okay. Yeah, I help kind of get things prepped for Dylan when he takes things for the edit, so I also see the things that most people don’t see and help make that look good, so, yeah, yeah. Pretty fun, pretty fun. I also started as an intern, too, now doing full-time, so some good stuff. Right. Oh, wow, wow. It happens. It happens, it happens. You, too, could have a future here. Yes. We don’t need any more applications actually. We got, we got a lot. All right, let’s keep it moving. Thank you, everybody. Let’s keep it moving. This is, this is- Welcome. This is quite a celebration. Come on up in front of the line. I’m loving every part of this. In front of the line. Well, I think we may have to pick up the pace a little bit. Sounds good. Okay. Go first? Okay, I’m Nicole, I’m a production, oh, Nicole Badios, I was told to say my first and last name ’cause there’s another Nicole. I’m a production coordinator and I also do talent stuff. Talent stuff. Yes, when there’s talent, I do it. You ever been nervous to work with a particular talent? When Post Malone was here, I was kind of nervous. Oh, really? Yeah, he’s intimidating. He’s very famous, yeah. Who’s the most talented person that you’ve worked with? I don’t pick favorites. Okay, good. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. I’m Abby, I’m an editor for Mythical Society, so, yeah. I also see things. You do all type of things. You see things? Well- Nothing bad. Abby actually went through- Abby sees things. The never before seen, like talk about, I mean- On the Mythical Society, basically our home videos and then realized there’s some stuff, there was like some nudity. Nudity. Did you see that? No, I did not. Okay, good. I think you took that out. I didn’t. I was too lazy. No, but I don’t think that tape isn’t being like, what’s on that tape doesn’t have anything that we’re gonna like show to the Society. Nope. Nudity or not. And the nudity is just me and Greg, Greg getting naked and running out the apartment and running back. It’s not sex stuff. You and Greg showering together. Right, yeah, yeah, yeah. It was college, we did things like that and filmed them. I’m glad you didn’t see that. Yeah, no. Don’t look for it. Okay, I won’t. Don’t look for it. Okay. I’m Laura, an executive coordinator here. And I schedule a lot of stuff. Laura coordinates the executives. I’m one of those people, yes, mostly Stevie’s. Yeah, what’s it like to work for Stevie? It’s amazing. I’m not lying. That’s right, Laura. Yeah. No, it’s great, she’s a very, very busy woman. She’s a busy woman. She does so much. She’s a busy woman. When she gets upset, can you tell by looking through the glass and you know not to go in? No . That’s why we put the glass there. The glass, it’s a glass door, so you can see if she’s upset about something. Like banging the- I don’t think- Desk with her hand. That never happens, no. Yeah, well. No, we’re good, we’re all good. What about when she just like grabs her hair and she just starts yanking at it. Oh, yeah, of course, that happens so much. Yeah, right. You know to back away. Only when I’m possessed by the past you, Link, do I do that. Yeah. All right, let’s bring in three more. Thank you. This is a cavalcade of Mythicality. Introduce yourselves. Should I go first, all right. Hi, I’m Isabelle and I am a graphic designer here at Mythical. And you take our photos for the merch. Yes, I do all the merch orders, as well. And I come up with merch ideas sometimes like this T-shirt. You came up with Good Mothical Morning? Yes, I did, I came up with Good Mothical Morning. Look at this. This is merch, y’all. And look, I mean, look at that. We’ve got the subtle “Good Mythical Morning” logo- I love that. In the wings. That was your idea? Yes, it was my idea. Wow, good idea. Thank you, thank you. All right, Kara, don’t hold back. I’m Kara and in case you weren’t aware, I’m your personal assistant. Yes. Oh, that make sense. That’s Kara. Yeah. Personal assistant. Yeah. Wow, like, yeah, she’s at the house sometimes and- Yeah. I run your lives outside of work. You- That’s right. You probably see more than the editors at this point. Yeah, I see a lot. Do you look through the glass and if Rhett’s going like this, you know not to come in. No, that’s when I take out my phone and record it just for posterity. And puts it on her personal website. Yep. Good to know. Good to know. Takes a note for her memoir. Yep. I’m gonna write a tell all about you guys someday. No, no, no, that was part, that’s in the contract to not do that. Did you see, okay, this makes me think of, you know David Koechner, he was in “Buddy System” and was also in “Anchorman,” more famously “Buddy System,” and- He was half clown, half military soldier. That’s how he talks about his credits. His former assistant has a TikTok and I don’t know if she’s telling multiple stories about him, but like she’s like telling stories about being his assistant. And that’s not cool. And they’re not like, they’re not necessarily- Is it, Kara? They’re not damning, it was just like a funny, kind of a funny story and then someone was like was he cool and she was like, yeah, he was cool, but his wife is a bitch. And I was like- I saw that exact TikTok and I saw that exact comment. Yeah, Stevie, we got the same feed. And I was like, well, not exactly, but I was like this is not cool, Kara. I can honestly say I will never post anything about either of you being bitches. Yeah, right. I appreciate that. Or their wives. Exactly. Yes. Chappie. Hi, I’m Chappie, I’m a graphic designer and photographer for production, not merch. Yeah, different stuff, yeah. Chappie has also seen a lot of us, mostly- Yeah, I take the thumbnail photos and the I make the thumbnails, as well. Are you as annoyed by us as we are by us? I kind of like, I feel like developed a blindness, like I don’t really see, it’s just all pieces to put together, you know. Right. You don’t see those faces as people anymore. No. It’s just elements to be photoshopped. And sometimes I’m zooming in so much, it’s just, you know, pixels. Yeah, I hate my face now, thanks to you. Actually, when you talked about that on “Ear Biscuits,” my brother listened to it and he texted me, hey, you should listen to the “Ear Biscuits”, they said they hate the thumbnails. I hate that we have to do thumbnails like that for y’all to click. And then I listened and that’s what, the clarity if got. You do a great job of making bad thumbnails. Thank you, no. They’re great thumbnails. Not all the comments are gonna be like you don’t have to do that for a thumbnail. We would click anyway, we would click anyway. But we do. You know what, we really like the non-food episodes. Yeah, yeah. We’ll click anyway. Listen, guys, 2,400 episodes, we tried it all. We know. Thank y’all. Thank you. All right, here’s another group of people who may or may not want to be here right now. I brought this for you ’cause it just fell off my pants. Oh, you brought a button. Yeah, my pants literally just broke. Everything okay? Step on up, guys, step on up, let’s get cozy. Katrina- What’s up? Where? Right here. I’m not gonna- Like way up there. Yeah, like- The button for her pants. Yeah, like my underwear. Like now my shirt is covering it. Is that bad? Tell us more. Well, there’s nothing more to tell. I mean about- Oh, about me- More but something different. Okay, I’m Katrina and I am the short form producer slash a lot of things. Do you want it? TikTokking it up. I’d like to hold it. Okay. TikTokking. YouTube shorts. YouTube short, Twittering, tweeting. It’s a nice button. It’s from H&M, it’s really not that, yeah, okay, you don’t want it, okay. Who’s next, who wants to go next? I’m Liv, I’m the sports designer. Liv. Yeah. Sporked designer. Yes. Yeah. There’s lots of fun little visuals. Lots of food on fire. A lot of food on fire. Lots of food spinning. Squiggly lines. Squiggles, dots, food on fire. Getting into triangles. You’re getting into triangles? Yeah. Getting into triangles. Right, points, they say points. Triangles make people hungry. Perfect. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, Maya. Hi, I’m Maya. I’m the eCommerce coordinator. I run the mythical.com. Mythical.com, ever heard of it? Merch. You ever heard us mention it? You can get this at that website. The shirt that I’m wearing. So, you’re programming everything in there. Yes. Does it ever make that noise? No, thankfully, thankfully. I don’t know why that’s the noise that came out. It’s a smooth launch. All right. Yeah. Sometimes I walk through to surprise you. You walk through the website? No, through their office. Oh, yeah. Just farting it up. All right. Yeah. Any questions for us? Any complaints? Mm. No. Katrina will get you now. All right, let’s keep it rolling. Bye. Thank you. Good work, guys. This is reducing to something weird. There’s so many people. I feel like I’m contributing just as much as you. Oh, you are. 24 is lot. I love this so much. I’m having so much fun. I think this could be like a genre of video. Yeah. Like just meeting three people that you don’t know at a time. Video parade. You don’t know. Hello, I’m Jamie, I produce “Ear Biscuits,” and it’s super awesome. Isn’t it, though? It is. I honestly feel like it’s a glimpse into a world that other people don’t see and it’s fun. Yeah, you have to sit there and listen to everything we’re saying. I know, I have a lot of thoughts and I try to keep my last little stifled, but a little loud, so you can still kind of hear it in the background. Okay, okay. Oh, so you’ve been dialing in your laugh, huh? I’ve been noticing, it’s pretty good lately. Good, I’ve been working on it for a long time. Some might say my whole life. And if you leave a voicemail, she’s gonna throw that in at the end of the episode. That’s right. If your voicemail has made it, it has made it through the gauntlet of Jamie. Yes, I have high voicemail standards. Sam, you got your own gauntlet. Yeah, I’m Sam. I’m the Crater growth lead for the Mythical Crater Accelerator program. That’s when we invest in other creators and then Sam works with them on a weekly, if not daily basis. Yeah, with them and their teams every day. Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, following in our footsteps, you know. Building brands across the internet. Only because of Sam. That’s it, that’s me. Yeah, that’s right. And of course, I’m Selaine, Hello, yes, I’m a GMM producer. You’ll sit back there. What’s your most proud GMM moment? Oh, gosh. You know, the one that you talked to your family about, your nieces. Well, I actually, some younger cousins who do watch the show and so I do send some of my favorite episodes sometimes. So, I did the “Try Not to Get Caught,” episode, the second one. That one was very fun, sent it out to all of them. They liked it, it was fun. That was a good one. Does it make you cooler in their eyes? 100%, yeah. I definitely, I think I have coolest cousin cred, for sure. All right. So, you’re going to the family reunions again. Oh, yeah, again, yeah, there was a period of time that I stopped. All right, try not to get caught. Thank you. Let’s keep going. What number are we on, KG? Good gracious. I have the marked. This is the seventh set of three. All right. You know what, come on up, guys, come on up, come on up, come on up, that’s good. That’s good, that’s good. Paloma, kick it off. I’m Paloma, a production assistant. Paloma stands over here- Paloma- And scrapes things off our desk when we make a mess. Paloma means dove or pigeon. Yep, I told you not to tell anybody that, but, yeah. And the way I know that and this is the first conversation that we ever had was- And it’s the only conversation you ever had. You just keep having it. I have one conversation per employee. The same one over and over. Yeah, right, I call it the dove conversation. And it was especially special with Paloma because her name means dove. Shepherd, my son, went through a pigeon phase. A lot of teens because of the pandemic went through a pigeon phase. Right. Don’t define it. Yeah, so he invented a world called Paloma and it was full of pigeons exclusively and it was like a pigeon economy and it was a project at school. He goes to one of those schools where they call the teachers by a first name and you can do this for a grade. You know, like make a fake pigeon world and like pass. Yeah. California. And, so anyway, I told Paloma all about it and she seemed pretty impressed. I still wanna see the project. Yeah, well, we burned it. Oh. Sounds pretty coo. Oh, you get it, coo. Coo. This is Caleb everybody. I’m Caleb, I’m the gobbler. I gobble things. Whoo! What does that mean, Caleb? What do you mean by that? There’s so much to gobble here. Yeah, right. Yeah. Like you’re talking about at the front desk. Yeah. Yeah, you’re the gobbler. Oh, you, oh. I gobble. Okay. Yeah. Like a turkey sometimes. Sometimes when you guys have leftover food, I gobble it up. Yeah, yeah, yeah, right. Like, you know how McDonald’s has the Hamburgler, I’m the Gobbler. Yeah, right, he’s a resident gobbler. Yeah. Yeah. I am gonna call you that from now on. And is that all that you’re gonna say that you do? Well, yeah, I mean, that is all I do, right? No, you draw things. What do you pay me for? Can you show everybody your shoes, Caleb? What is that on there? They’re Crocs. Is it a Croc with a fanny pack on it. It’s a utility Crocs. Yeah, they’re utility Crocs. I’ll have to take off my Croc just for this. So, Caleb, as you can see- Utility Crocs. I would say- What do you keep in there? The fashion icon at Mythical Entertainment. I don’t have anything, it’s just- He designs a lot of the fashion. He designs a lot of the things that you end up wearing that you buy from mythical.com. But you didn’t design this one. I did design this one. Oh. I also gobbled it, but that’s beside the point, but get the Good Mothical Morning shirt. Yeah, it’s a team effort. At mythical.com. Terence, help us out, he’s gobbling. Hi, my name’s Terence. I’m the director of production and post production. You don’t gobble anything? Not as much as I’d like. Like a mid-tier gobble. Yeah, right, yeah. Terence was, I think, one of the only people who participated in spirit week here at Mythical. Yeah, let’s talk about that for a second. We had a spirit week and no one, you think this is a fun place to work, no one participated. And hold on. The significance of this is the fact that we had our senior staff meeting, which is about as serious as we get around here and we’re all in the board room and Terence is dressed as Guy Fieri the whole time with a wig and glasses. And no one else- And I really appreciated it and I appreciated the fact that you did not, that you stayed fully committed, that you did not take your wig or your sunglasses off when you gave your full report for your department. Well, the worst part of that is during the break, I talked with some people in the beginning and I took the sunglasses off and some of them went oh, you’re Terrence, so they just kind of thought there was this person in the meeting and that I wasn’t there, yeah, so. Oh, that’s, yeah. It wasn’t me, was it? No. Thank you all. All right. And finally. We have three more. Our final three. Ooh, I’m exhausted. 22, 23 and 24. Introduce yourselves, come on up here. Emily, do it. Hi, I’m Emily and I’m the motion graphics designer, so whatever titles the writers give me, I animate. GMM title movement. So, if you see a title and it moves. That’s cause of Emily Z. If you see a title and it doesn’t move, that’s somebody else. They all move. They all move. They all move. But if they ever don’t move, it’s not Emily. It wasn’t me. Okay, all right, all right. What’s your favorite movement? Like dance wise or? I’m talking about professionally here. I’m staying with motion- You like a zoom and a pop, you like a side swipe. A whittle and a shimmy. You know, I really like a bounce movement, maybe. Yeah, yeah, so unpredictable. Good bounce movement. All right, Amo. Amo, post-production manager and co-commissioner of the Good Mythical football, Fantasy Football League. Oh. We have that? First time winner. Oh, hold on- First annual, I won the first annual. You won and then made yourself the commissioner? I started it, I mean, it was a one-person team league, so, you know. So, you were playing with yourself. Well, yeah, in some ways, yeah. So, how has the league grown at this point? We had, the first year I think we had six, eight teams and then this past season we had another eight to 10. So, it just kind of fluctuates, so depending on whose interested in the fall and ready to play some Fantasy Football. How much of a distraction from your actual job is this? Oh, all of it. I’m on Twitter, I’m on Reddit, I’m on everything. I gotta study, that’s how you become a champion in the league, the Good Mythical. He is fully distracted. Fantasy Football League. To answer your question. Let ’em have it, Chris. I’m Chris, I’m the sound supervisor here at Mythical. Right, so if you hear something, on this show that you do not like, it’s Link’s fault, it’s Link’s chewing, it’s not Chris, it’s not. You’ve worked hard to try to figure that out. I mean, listen- There’s a lot of noises. We’ve called a whole team in and Chris is in charge of it, but Chris has, he’s gone so deep into researching how to make his mouth be silent. And, I mean- The chewing. We’ve, not to make him completely shut up. Just while chewing and, listen, we’ve done all we can. You can’t shut me up, man. That’s it, man. I’ll speak through Stevie again. You don’t want that do you? We all know that. There you have it. 24 employees for 2,400 episodes. Wow. Every 100 episodes we add an employee. Or is it every thousand. It’s faster than that.
