GMMore 2724: How Much Chocolate Is In This Bar?

Welcome to Good Mythical More. Um, I just gotta tell you, we’re gonna eat some chocolate. There we are. And we’re gonna, So much of it. Guess what percentage of cacao is in each of these. Each of these dark chocolates. And it’s gonna be a little bit tricky, because it’s not the same type of chocolate bar. It’s different brands, which will make it interesting. I think we’re gonna be good at this. Think so? But first, how good are we at the ABCDEFG game, where we have to go back and forth in the alphabet, saying, in this case, worst ways to start a best man speech. Okay? Uh, yeah. I have one of these. I did one of these. Actually, I’m not the best man. Oh, that would be, that would be horrible. Bobby, I’ve always been in love with her. Creases. They’re in, they’re in pants. What else are they in? Don’t forget. Lube. That’s pretty good. That’s actually good. But embarrassing. But you shouldn’t say that as the best man. ABCDE? Every time I hang out with this crowd, Somebody’s getting married. Uh. All right. Y’know, some are harder than others. Those were a little tougher. And some have more dark chocolate than others. We just hung out with football and lacrosse people, and boy, I think that I’m so much more competitive now. I love the fact that they were so competitive. I love having competitive people around. People who hate losing. I just relate so much. Jason and Kylie. Um, yeah, yeah, yeah. Very, very sports minded people. Uh, could you switch? Oh, is that, yes. Thank you. Thank you. You thank you for that. Thank you for that. Thank you. Oh, these are like, Thank you for that. You should coordinate my, coordinate my intimacy. Okay, let’s just start with one. Now, do we have the, we don’t have the packaging. We do have the packaging. But we can’t see it because it tells the answer. Alright. I love dark chocolate. I don’t love it because it’s like, it’s like the chocolate that you’re not supposed to eat. That is very, very bitter. 92 or 85. I’m gonna put that, put that right there. Alright, grab the next one. We’re grabbing C. We’re grabbing C. And C has a, it’s got, it’s got an etching on it. It looks like some sort of koi pond. It’s like a Japanese etching. You know what? My neighbor put koi in his um, Gutter? In his, he built a waterfall system at the end of my street, and then he put Koi in the, in the, in the, in the bottom pond. Have you been down to hang with them? I, I see them every morning. They okay? They’re little Koi, but I, I think they’ve already gotten bigger after two weeks. Oh, they get big fast. Hmm, this is good. This is definitely lower than that last. It still looks dark, but we’re putting it over here. They’re all dark looking. All right, let’s go with F. Oh, now this is a, this is a perforated one. I know this brand. I don’t remember, I think it’s called like, When do you eat dark chocolate? It’s called like XOXO Love or something like that, like this way, this perforation. Is this like for dessert when you’re trying to be a good boy? All right. Everybody in my family loves dark chocolate. As long as it doesn’t get too dark, it’s not, it isn’t bad. I think this is actually 72, and that’s 68. Or this might be 77. The advantage is that we can rank these relative. Here’s what I do. When I’m being a good boy, we have all these bars. At any given time in my house, we have six to seven dark chocolate bars. All different brands. I don’t, there’s always, it’s just like trying new things. It sounds like a lot, doesn’t it? It is. One, I get one square after dinner, three nights a week, one square. On the weekends, sometimes I go a little bit nuts. And I get a bar, and I take it, and I break off a piece. I get a jar of peanut butter. But do you get like. And I start eating the peanut butter with the dark chocolate. Is it healthy peanut butter? Mm hmm. No. It’s all hydrogenated, man. But you just legitimately like the chocolate, because you’ve forgotten that lighter chocolate exists. And it’s better for you, because cacao is a superfood. Well, when you like dark chocolate, you’re liking the chocolate. You’re not liking the milk. You know what I’m saying? You’re actually liking the thing that makes chocolate, chocolate. You just want more and more of it. And you wanna just keep stuffing it in your face. The fact that cacao is a superfood is kind of a nice thing that God did for us. You know? Uh huh. You know? We should be thankful. This one is angular. 77 maybe? I don’t know, this is gonna be tough. We’re gonna end up eating, Okay, here’s a Ghirardelli. Are you sure that this one’s darker than this one? These are, these three right here, there’s other things happening in there that make it a little bit more confusing. We’re gonna have to go side by side. Can you do a little, uh? I think we’ve got it right though. I think we got it right. Can you do a little twisty? All right, so this is Ghirardelli, did you say that? I think that’s 60, don’t you think? I think this is less. This is low, whatever it is. It’s low. I just love it! Mm hmm. I’m starting to like it. Hmm. Here’s a hack. If you want, You’re right. to start wearing bigger pants, get, you know, for fashion, get a pair of pants that’s way too big and wear those in public. And then go back to, like, some pants that aren’t as big after that, after you’ve worn those, and they’ll feel like you’re wearing normal pants. You’ve been doing that lately? I’ve done that. And then, um, you like to go past your comfort zone so then you can come back to something that feels comfortable but wasn’t comfortable for you before. You gotta overshoot so you can come back to a place that is progress when it comes to fashion. And dark chocolate. You eat the really dark stuff and then you go back to something like this and you’re like Oh! This isn’t that dark. This is milk chocolate but it’s not and it’s good for you. This isn’t that dark. Hmm. It might be 77. One of them is 100. This one might be 100. Can we try that one? The last one? Try? Might be 100. Oh, what is this? It says something on it. Chalk zero. I’m gonna tell you right now, these two need to be switched. B and F need to be switched. I feel like the Kelce’s have, like, really accelerated your competitiveness and there’s more Now I’m on board for it. Exactly like, there’s, there’s less talking, more More doing less talking more doing is the new GMM We need to get, we need to get to seein them, you know, there’s not, I don’t, we need to see that, We need to see the chocolates. There’ll be plenty to talk about when we see it. We’re about to lock it in Stevie, this is very high. I don’t know if it’s higher than the high one It’s also got another flavor in it. This is the 100. This is the 92. Yep, okay. And I switch these two. You wanna start low or you wanna start high? Do you wanna, you wanna verify these two? I gotta go through all these real quick, sorry. It’s like a Friday night. Yeah it is, good boy Friday night. Cause this, I mean it still works with the peanut butter. I think you could go with a more granular. gritty peanut butter and feel like a good boy. Come on now. You, you just, you took too big of a bite. Those are very similar. But keep them like they are. If you don’t know. What’s the highest that I’m willing to eat? All right. We’re going to switch those two. All right, here we go, Stevie. We are locked in. Okay. We’re going to start low. Uh, 60% is B. Ah, ah, I almost said, after I switched these. I thought maybe switch that one. Italia, Italiah 1878. Venchi is the low one. Is the, the low crap. Okay. 68%. Ghirardelli. Oh, wait, no, I I did it wrong. Sorry. Yeah. Wait, wait, wait. The Japanese, did you switch koi? The, I said 60 was B. Yes, he didn’t switch. Yeah, I, I put this. Oh, but you didn’t switch the things. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, because I, I want to say what my, Got it. Okay. How, how wrong we were. 68. C. Yeah, so we just missed these two. This one should have kept moving down. Moonstruck. Moonstruck, um, yeah, so it’s got a nut, it’s, it has koi on it. Oh, just like your pond. Just like my neighbor’s pond. Can you feed, uh, chocolate to koi? Probably not. Yeah, I do it every morning. Okay. I’m gonna, I’m gonna take this to him. 72. Ghirardelli. Is A, and it’s Ghirardelli. Yes, it says Ghirardelli. 72 percent cacao. Sometimes you gotta clap for yourself when no one else will. 77. F. Yes! Chocolove. Yeah, Chocolove, it has the XXO on it, right, yes. And it says, it starts to, it gives you a warning, it says extra strong. Extra strong, not extra dark. Extra strong, interesting, interesting, interesting. 85. G! Yes! Valrhona. Between these two, this is my range. This is too high. I want you to look at that, that’s why I’m putting it there. This is too high? No. 85. 85 is as high as I can go, and still have a great time. 92. Is E. You’ve done it. Choc Zero. Yeah, that’s weird. Look at this though. That is, and this one has a, it has a strange cakey taste to it. Why is it zero? Zero what? I think it’s zero sugar. Yeah. Yeah, it’s, there’s something else going on on that one. And of course, we got 100! 100 percent The Raka. Raka! Raka! Unroasted dark chocolate. It actually is one of the better 100s that I’ve had. There’s a couple of brands that’ll do 100 and it just feels like, that’s why I didn’t put it all the way to the top, it just, it’s almost inedible. It is, it’s so, it’s too much. It’s bitter. It’s so good for you. I mean, you can cook with it. You would not want to cook with this. If you cook with cacao powder, what do you put that in? If you’re like trying to make a healthier chili. Nicole? I was gonna say chili, mole, things like that. You can use it in brownie batter. It’s great in chili. Brownie batter. Brownie batter. Do you do that? Use cocoa powder? Cacao. Cacao, yeah. You recently had my wife’s chili, you know the secret ingredient is chocolate. But it wasn’t enough to notice. It was enough to make it a little bit sweet. You wouldn’t, you don’t want it to taste like chocolate, you want it to be a part of the depth of flavor. It was a great collaboration between our better halves. She made an amazing chili. Did your wife make the cornbread? Christy made the cornbread. Oh yeah, I would take a piece of the cornbread and I would put the chili over it. Oh yes, well yeah, as intended. And then I would put, then I would put Fritos. On the side, still Fritos, yeah. And then cheese and sour cream. Mmm. Is this a one, this is, is it a one night enjoyment of chili or do you do, I find with stews, you know, during the cold months with stews, I could do a multi night stew situation cause you, you got, you know, and I don’t think I could do that with anything else except for that one day recently where I had home state for every single meal of the day. Yeah. Sorry about that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Here’s what happened. We were getting together for a, um, a writer’s, we were like hatching, we were working on Wonderhole Season 2, and, um, we were over at the Creative House, and we like, we were like, let’s, let’s order some lunch, and, you know, we’ll have some fun eating the lunch. Yeah. And, um, somebody, somebody said home state, and Stevie said, well I had that for breakfast. And Homestate is a Tex Mex taco. Texas, Tex Mex style taco place that’s just individually wrapped, uh, Brisket tacos. In, in foil. Chicken tacos. So when they deliver it to you, it’s still good. You know? And um, their queso is to die for. And, I don’t know how you had I think. You had it for breakfast as a leftover from the night before? No, no. Just as a, cause they’re breakfast tacos. They’re breakfast tacos. They’re known for those. So then, even though Stevie said she had already had it that day, she was willing to do it again for lunch. Everybody else kind of ignored her because they got so excited about getting it. I know, I was being gracious. You were being very gracious. And then you know what? Karma’s a [bleep] because, uh, shout out to Jojo. Um, Um, Um, because, I think I know what, I think I just hurt my neck. Oh wow. Well you know it was worth it. Because that night, we got together, we left, we left the creative house and we went straight to your house for something. No, no, no, this was uh, to uh, Mike’s house. Oh it was to Mike’s house. For a Dodgers playoff game. Right. And, uh, they had homestate. They had homestate. And you know what? I was really proud of you. For not saying anything about it. What? He did say something! He said, Well, they’re gonna have to change that. I’m not doing it again. And then, you said, Yes! Oh, did I say something to him in the moment? You said, you were like, well guess what, we’re having homestate, and then Link said, well they’re just gonna have to change that cause I’m not having it again. And then I think you said, I don’t remember saying, anything, I was like, Well, what do you want? I was just like, you know what? Well, they were already putting, everyone on the text thread had put their order in. Group chat. Yeah, yeah, group chat? Group chat. Text thread is old? Yeah. But a group chat could just be Just do that dance again. Group chat! Could be just people talking. I want you to know this was on my phone. We did a group chatting. Anyway, we did it, and I ended up eating so much homestate that day. So, Stevie, you handed the homestate torch to us, and between the three of us, we had three meals of homestate. Well, I can do you one better. Because I did not eat both of my tacos because I was kind of over homestate, and then I, the next day, the next, day I ate the other one. For breakfast? It was lunch, it was like a brunchish thing. You can’t go wrong with Homestate. No. That’s a thing. But you do need to know, If you come to LA or I guess if you go to Austin. I want to be clear, you’re getting into Is it in Austin? There’s Tex Mex. People will criticize Homestate because it’s not like Like, in L.A., you can get great, like, real tacos. Like, tacos that you would get in Mexico, right? Like, street tacos, all kinds of tacos that you would actually get in Mexico. And then Tex Mex is its own thing. So you can’t compare the two. No, it’s a different thing. No need to. Right? No need to. People criticize Homestate, but it’s a different dish. It’s a different thing. Yeah, and they, you can buy Topo Chico’s there. You can get ranch water. Oh, they’re margaritas. You can get beer there. Yeah, come to LA. You want to go to sleep immediately? You just go get yourself one of those margaritas. But the queso is really the thing we should be talking about. Are we talking ourselves into Homestate lunch? It’s drinkable. Their queso is just drinkable, and you can order a loaded queso, which is off the menu, I believe. Oh, they have a Frito pie, too. Hold on, I’m talking about the loaded queso over here. Oh, they have a loaded queso, too. So they put, like, the um, is it, they put beef in the, Yeah, they have ground beef. Ground beef goes in the loaded queso. And that’s what, that’s what you wanna try too. Yeah. You guys, Kelce was really upset. Kylie, to leave without her wedding ring. Oh, crap. Well, she lost it. I mean, we have, we’re gonna pawn the crap out of it. That’s the first thing I did. But I gave Jason back his shirt cause I wanna be friends with him. I got three guitars for it. Yeah, she had other rings, but we made her take the big one off. I mean, I love the fact that it happened that way. That like, he, he bet, he went all in, so then like, he had to take his shirt off.
