I get the hiccups when I eat something spicy and it’s incredibly embarrassing and you don’t want water. Yeah, I want water. Oh, you zumas? Mm-hmm. Well, we’re gonna get your glass does, but what I’m telling you is hot habanero, you typically, that’s not just hot. It’s hot. That’s very flavorful. They’re good, but it’s like a nice chip too, right? It’s a very good chip. It’s too hot. It’s too hot to be, and. For most people. I don’t know why, and I just so really, really enjoy deeply. I don’t know why I did that to, we can’t, we we, yeah. We can’t start with a spicy one squint. You can’t do that. You can’t do that to, to your guys. I’m so sorry. We got like a whole variety pack of this route 11. And I thought these looked like the most fun, but I don’t think that I, I don’t think that I read the fine print. They’re really good free for all of you. There’s, I’ve touched every single one. Okay. So we, we’ll leave it out here and just come back to it. Also representing the Mid-Atlantic region, we had, um, we had hers. And middle Swarth her. What is hers? Hers is like a hers. Hers hairs hers. We got hers, we got Pennsylvania, Tim’s. Okay, so next is, yeah, we’re gonna do the chu next, which is representing the Northeast. Now this, look at that bag y’all. This is from Massachusetts. If you couldn’t have told by the name WA who said, and all, there’s no, no Foldy very ruffle like. Very ruffle, like strong flavor. It’s like a good chip, but like Mm. It’s not gonna knock your socks off, I guess. Well, it’s, is that good? It’s very potatoey. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. I, I do like ’em a lot. They’re a little soft. Mm-hmm. And. Mild. I’m surprised they don’t have more seasoning on the muffin, what you said, what you said, what you said. But I really like the packaging. I love the packaging as well. It’s, it’s very throwback. If you’re from Massachusetts and this is your favorite chip brand, tell me in the comment, but it’s not better than this packaging. This has a, it’s a lady on it. A sexy lady on it. Yeah. Trying too high. Yeah, that’s, you think this is trying too hard? Yeah. Too many things happen. Chu looks like it hasn’t gotten new packaging in like a really long time. Yeah. I mean, if it ain’t broke, you know. Yeah. What you said. Okay. Next we’re gonna do self, I agree with. What you say. So this is a special one for you fellas. Look, it’s from the Carolinas, from the southeast. It’s called Carolina Kettle. So this is gonna be a probably a South Carolina style. Like a mustard based, I would think. Yeah. Yeah. And that’s the situation here. Lot of FIEs. Oh, fogies galore. Yeah. Well that’s a kettle kettle cook. That looks like a good kettle chip, doesn’t it? Hmm. That’s not the pork run. Yeah. Hmm. I wanted to love these immediately, but I feel like you have the taste of oil right up front, which just happened in the kettle. Yeah, there’s oil in the kettle, but I’m not getting a lot of barbecue. I’m not getting, mm-hmm. I’m not getting much flavor. Mm-hmm. But the interesting thing is, down East Carolina is where I don’t, I don’t know if they’re doing that on purpose, but that is where Christie is from. Oh, really? Well, I mean, it’s a, it’s a goodness grows. North Carolina. Yes. Yeah, this is Eastern North Carolina. But why does it taste like vinegar then? Salty, spicy vinegar. There are many barbecue sauces, but none can beat the age old recipes that have been handed down in eastern North Carolina. Chris Cheese from Kinston, okay, which, um, is a hot bed of, uh, down east barbecue. You can order. Got Goldsboro. You got, you can order it from, um, what’s the one in Kenson? That’s so good. You can get that on gold GoldBelly or something on GoldBelly. You can just get it straight to your house. The sweetness comes out, the more that you eat ’em. But this was such an opportunity. The North Carolina style barbecue sauce. Mm-hmm. The down east style with the red pepper and the vinegar. It was such an opportunity to make a great chip and they just didn’t bring the vinegar. I know. I really didn’t bring the vinegar. Well, also we’ve had like Carolina style. Chips recent, like barbecue style chips recently that are really good. Like Trader Joe’s make some, I think, and these, and that’s probably the mustard style, like yeah, that’s South Carolina. South Carolina. Oh, oh. But very, very good. I just thought this was gonna be a South Carolina style chip and I was gonna be happy. I like that style. But now I’m disappointed. Now it’s ruined my whole day, I think. I think Christie’s dad would be disappointed as well. Oh man. You know what? Put those back in there. I think his default mode is disappointment though. Okay. How about we? Maybe that’s just in me. Oh, I hope he’s only disappointed. He’s been very sweet to me. That’s nice. He thinks just when he is around you, my father-in-law’s never been disappointed in you. No, not that he said to me. I think that this looks very like homegrown and I like that about it. So, window, that was a choice to window your bag. You, you gotta really think about that. So besides this, we have Ste and Julios representing the Southwest in Texas. But this was the only potato chip I think. I think the other ones were, see, I don’t have to pour these out because, ’cause it’s window, it’s a windowed back. See? Mm mm-hmm. They are not holding back on the season. Oh man. They are not. Look at that. I love a covered chip. Whoa. Whoa. That’s, it. Tastes like paprika ingredients. It really does. A whole spice cabinet of ingredients. Ugh. Too much. What? Ugh. It’s really chili powder to the dome, isn’t it? Woo. That is a, that is such a weird choice. It’s not, it doesn’t taste good. It’s like pretty shocking. It’s like, it’s like you had to make chips. Like somebody was just like, make chips, and you were like, I’ll find what I’ve got in. You know what I mean? Yes. Here’s a foldy. It smells like chili powder and that’s what, yeah. I love the bag and it’s got a rooster on it. The cock trees is happening, but you, there needs to be something else going on should be blowing besides the chili powder. I’m really, yeah. Wow. Those are so doesn work. I think we’re learning as a reason that things remain regional. Yeah. Wow. Okay. Midwest. We’ve got old Dutch sour cream and onion. These are from Minnesota. Okay. Old bag. So I, I like that bag. I’m, I’m gonna pour these out for you. This is a thin, crispy guy. This is a nice chip. Look at that. That looks like a nice chip. Whoops. Sorry. That’s okay. A little bit on the knee. Little bit in the lap. I think it’s always unique for, um, a sour cream and onion chip to go with a blue motif versus a green motif that’s like against the grain kind of stuff that we like to see. These are weaker than the Machu They are. Mm-hmm. Whatchu say? Oh, Dutch. Oh, Dutch. Whatchu said? Mm, mm-hmm. Well, quality lives here though is the, uh, the way of life at Old Dutch, new to taste high quality. The more you eat, the better they get the, I was gonna say, I think it, like, it starts to come to life a little bit. These are the most, like, middle of the road so far in terms of like, I think these would be a crowd pleaser more than anything else that we’ve tried so far. My favorite by a long shot are the super hot ones in terms of just actual taste and like mm-hmm. I just, I, I have to wait to go back to those. They’re just too hot. They’re too hot. Well, but they’re my favorite. Listen, we’re moving on to the mountain region. With Denver Chip company. Look at these guys. They have like what I think of this bag. No windows, no color whatsoever. I think this might be a pretty small company and I appreciate that. Well, maybe they’re just really focusing on the chips. Yeah. Oh, bit big, big tier. See, whoa. Look at how big, look at the size of that Tater. That looks like a potato chip you get in a restaurant, I think. Yep. Especially when, look at that. Okay. That’s like a burnt one. Mm-hmm. Okay. Mm. There’s something special about these chips, y’all. Mm. That’s a potato chip. Mm-hmm. Like just a potato. Mm-hmm. It tastes like a five guys fry. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I love it. They also call it a chippery. Did you know that a potato chip company call itself a chippery? No. Well, they can like if just want a potato chip, this is it. Mm-hmm. Salt and potatoes. I think it’s impressive. Very good How potato way it tastes compared to all of the rest of them, I think. I love it. Can you get, oh, that is good. A flavored version. Wow. From this? They’re like a little bit seasoned, but like barely, like there’s some like garlic and onion, but it’s like this is one of the better potato chips that I’ve ever had. Just as a, I agree. Like what I would call a plain potato chip. That’s good. But I don’t know about having a pug on the front ’cause they can’t breathe. I know. Because they couldn’t taste right. If they can’t, they’re so cute though. They have a sweetened spicy flavor. Oh, that sounds nice, doesn’t it? Sweet and spicy. Our pug, Zeus would certainly think so if we let him have any, they don’t give him to Zeus. Every step of the process is done by hand. Whoa. Selection, slicing, seasoning, and packaging. You’ve really done something with these. I love ’em. And I like, and now I’m really, the package is really growing on me. ’cause it, what it tells me is that you’re focused on the chips. You’re focused on the chips. They’re got no time for pantones. I bet it keeps some fresher, it’s potatoes, not pantones. Yeah. Yeah, it does. Yeah, it does. Okay, so next we’re gonna move to West Coast. That’s where we are. That’s right. The cool coast. So these are rusty chili lime potato chips from rusty chips here in Cali W We have a wind, we have windowed back, we have a, we have a windowed back with a windowed stripe in the back. It’s not completely windowed. They’re promising. They look very promising. Are they gonna taste like a spice cap? Whoa. Oh, is that a sweet potato? I mean, they’re so aggressive. These are gonna be loud as hell. You can just tell by looking at ’em. Oh yeah. A tooth break from, that’s a cruncher. Whoa. Chili lime was soft. I wish should it had more. I need a beer with this something. Mm. Be really, you might need a, I need a csa. Mm-hmm. Go to the dentist after this. They’re very crunchy. I, I, I just, the chili lime. We got some beers, please. Mm-hmm. But these are a close second to me. These are just so hot. These are just for, these are just for me too hot to spend some alone time. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Now we have the northwest region and these are Tim’s jalapeno chips. Everybody knows Tim, right? Mmm. I feel like he’s like a guy that’s at sandwich shops and stuff. Right. Okay. Tim’s Cascade snacks. Mm-hmm. He’s at, he’s at sandwich shops. Yeah, I’ve seen these. Do you guys, have you ever been to all about the bread? No. Tell me more. It’s a sandwich shop that’s on Melrose and it’s really good. Oh, smell that jalapeno flavor. I think that, whoa, they got it right. They got it right? Mm mm mm mm mm. Mm-hmm. Jalapeno flavoring is typically reliable. Mm-hmm Mm. And these are good. I think these are better than Miss Vicky’s. Yeah, I agree. Nowhere on the front. Does it say kettle style? It says cascade style, but yeah, I would call it a kettle chip. It says extra thick and crunchy. What’s Cascade style? I think they might have made it up. It might be where they’re from. The Cascades. Yeah. I think they’re also, Tim’s might have been bought by Utz, to be honest with everyone. So just so you know, now I’m coming back in for this Denver, ’cause I, this was a special thing. I’m really, I’m really listening to Tim now. Yeah. You like Tim Tim’s cascade style potato chips. When I see those, I’m gonna try some other flavors. When you come back into Denver and the Denver, yeah. Get a load of the texture of those compared to everything that we’ve had. Mm-hmm. Is, isn’t it just remarkable that they made the perfect potato chip? Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. I feel very impressed with those. They’re so good. I’m sorry guys. It’s too potatoey. No it’s not. They’re too perfect. No, it is so wonderful. They’re too perfect of a potato. This is a wonderful chip. Do you like five guys fries? You said they taste like five guys fries. They’re not my favorite fry. Okay. ’cause they’re too, too perfect of a fry. Totally, totally. I get it. That makes adds up. Makes sense. So this is an accomplishment. I can’t stop eating them.
