GMMore 2823: We Taste New Chip Flavors

Welcome to Good Mythical More. We are going to sample some newfangled chips that are on the market and featured on Sporked to see which ones we would munch or maybe just crunch or resort to just punch. Oh yeah. And we will dupe the punching. Yeah. But first let’s do a freeze frame. See, I gave him something to work with to, didn’t say something about me. Now, Pringle’s not, uh, the best chip according to one Link Neal. Mm-hmm. It is. It is the offings of chips smooshed together into a particular shape that is very reliable, and I applaud them for that. But you say offings, so you think– That’s how I, That’s what I believe. You, you see, you think they’re making another chip? And then they’re sweeping the floor and making Pringles. No, they’re buying straight up, fresh potatoes. Rejects. And they’re making them into some sort of paste and they’re making it into, they’re reconstituting it. It’s a processed food. Yeah, I don’t, I don’t, I don’t love it. Spicy loaded nachos. Do you like mashed potatoes? They’re supposed to be bursting with flavor, but you see that side ain’t much flavor. This side half flavored. I like mashed potatoes. Yeah. These are just hard mashed potatoes. Um. Is there a jalapeno flavor in that? Yep. Yeah. I hate this. That’s the part that I like. Jalapeno flavoring is a friend of the show. We both like jalapeno flavoring. I don’t, I don’t like jalapenos. I do not. Something about the fact that I can taste still like a– The, the Pringle part? Unadulterated Pringle. I don’t love, I’m wanting to punch this one, but I might just wanna punch Pringles. Loaded potato skins. That’s all brand. These are showing bacon, chives, sour cream. Those are better because of the sour cream and the bacon flavor’s not bad on these. It’s almost just like a barbecue flavor. Yeah, it’s weird. What do you just brush your teeth? You think it’s weird? I mean, let me have another one. I thought you’d like that. It’s very oniony, which I like. It’s very– It’s better than this one. The bacon. Yes, it is better than that one. It’s a very fakey, bakey. I think I just know that that’s what I’m going into when I go in and bite a Pringle, I know that I’m biting something that’s made from the offings. You know what I’m saying? Like, it’s like when I go to– Your, your standards are lowered. Like when I watch wrestling. Mm-hmm. I know they, they’re making it up as they go along. It’s a suspension of dis disbelief, you know? I’m like, but I can enjoy this for what it’s. You know what I mean? Well, that’s a good point. I did used to love wrestling when I was in fourth grade. Pringles are like wrestling. Sorry, Carney, wrestling’s big now again. I saw somebody make a video and he was like, my friends getting excited about the third season of their favorite show while I. I am getting excited about the 25th season of my favorite show and it was raw Monday Night Raw, I guess, or whatever, and he was just like, then he just showed the intro to the, I was like. It’s just a thing. Yeah. No judgment. You watch it every week Carnie? No, I don’t watch every week. I wait for the WrestleMania wasn’t too long ago and I checked in for that. The big things I check out every week’s a a bit much for me. That’s a young man’s game. Yeah. No. Seven layer dip. These are the worst. It tastes like there’s lettuce in it. Well, ’cause also, you’re not supposed to have seven layer dip with a potato chip. This is horrible. I will say, I will say that we need– It’s like, it’s taco seasoning. I feel like I should punch it. I hate it so much. You, you can punch the rest of ’em. You punch ’em all if you want to. Yeah. I wanna punch all of them. But can you hold it up like a boxing, uh, bag? Well first let’s put Munch and Crunch in their place. This is the best one. So we’re putting, we’re putting, we will, we’re gonna munch on these puppies. We think that these are the best. Does that mean they’re good? No. They’re the best of what we’re working with. Spicy loaded. It is getting weird on the second taste. It really is. I’m telling you. I might, it might be about to switch these. I don’t think they’re good. I, I, I actually think that the seven layer dip at least has a pleasant taste. Really? This at least has spice in it. I feel like I’m switching these. So you wanna punch this? I actually wanna punch the one with bacon because it should be better than it is. So we’re munching on this one. Even it tastes like lettuce. Nobody’s happy here. Let’s just punch both of these. All right, so if you get a punch, I get a punch. You want me to do like this? You want me to do one, one big punch. I think one big punch. It’s not gonna hurt my hand, is it? No, it’s, it’s a Pringle. Are you gonna hold onto it or let it fly? I think I’m, I’m, I’m gonna hold onto it loosely and see what happens. Come across like this. It disappeared. It disappeared. Was there a clock wipe there? I mean, that’s pretty impressive. So you gotta do a left hand punch. Yep. Left hand punch. There you go. Came right, came right through it. It was funny. That was good. That was good. That is fun. Punching Pringles. Punching Pringles is fun. That’s, that’s the future. Let’s get some around here. Alright, so we have simply ruffles, hot and spicy. Our snacks are made with flavors from the brands you love and ingredients you can feel good about. No artificial colors or flavors. Cooked with sunflower oil. Sliced fried and seasoned, so they’re still fried. You shouldn’t feel good about it. Potato chips are the worst thing you can eat. They’re trying to make you feel better about these, even though they’re still fried. They’re potato chips. Hot and spicy. Not any better for you. A lot better than a Pringle. Hmm. There’s actually a sweetness. The packaging does make me feel like I’m making a, a healthier choice. Mm-hmm. Branding. Branding. But I don’t. Or the, a nice little spice there at the end. That might be a jalapeno. Those are good. Is that Serrano? Those are legitimately good. Now, these corn tortillas, chili pepper, it’s just yellow corn with sea salt. My hand’s hurting a little bit. Really? Yeah. From punching the. Where exactly? I caught it flush. The puncher part. The puncher part. You’ll be all right. Did you try that, um, Greek yogurt as dip, uh, chip dip thing that I told you about the last time we chip? No, I’ve thought about it, but. I, it’s, it’s, I, I mean. You know what my application of that? Instead of sour cream, right? Yeah. I’ve been making my, um, crema with yogurt now. I put it on a burrito on Saturday that I made for myself. It’s not that far off. No, it’s great. And you feel good about eating it, just like eating these ruffles and like with something like the ruffles, you don’t have to put anything in the Greek yogurt before dipping. ’cause all the, you know, all the flavors on the chip situation. You’re right. But what I did on Saturday– There’s a flavor in the dip. Then why you dip? Well, it depends on the chip that you’re dipping. I tried, if you, if the chip has too much flavor, you can’t give the dip. More flavor. So yeah. I took eggs, beans that were already like in a, in like a, they came in a bag and they were already in some like chili type cheese juicy thing. I put those together with some cheese, put it into a tortilla. But before I closed the tortilla, I took some skier yogurt skier. Skyr. Skyr. Skyr. Skuuur. And I mixed in some salsa and I put that it’s like a sauce. Yeah, it sounds nice. It was very good. These. Yeah, these are boring as I get out. They’re boring. I’m, I’m getting ready to punch those. I think we’re just gonna punch those because it’s just, it’s just a tortilla. Just a tortilla without any artificial coloring or flavoring. That last one doesn’t taste the way that cool ranch are supposed to taste. No. And that’s an offense to me. Can I have another one? Because Cool Ranch are so good. Peanut, they get better. It is just a Doritos cooler. It’s fine. It’s really fine, but I think a month I’m coming get Don’t get one of those. You say what? I’m coming to get one. I’m, I just think it’s pretty bold to, you know, have a Doritos Cool Ranch flavor if you can’t deliver on it. So I’d like to come get one. I’m up right now. Yeah. It’s not that it’s bad, it’s just that it’s, I think that it’s a little bit bad. I don’t know what it is. I mean, how do you mess that up? I think eating the spicy thing beforehand. Tell us what you think, Stevie. No, I think you’re not, I think you’re not giving it credit. I think it might be a mismatch of too many chips before entry into the mouth. Okay. I don’t think it’s bad. I’m not letting go. That was awesome. That was awesome. I didn’t know that was gonna happen. I don’t care that it did. Yeah. Sorry. I don’t care that it did. Oh, look at these Asian style chips. Calbee brand. Hold on. Is it Asian? Style chips or is it Asian style chips? I think it’s Asian style. But what’s, what’s a style chip? Nothing that’s an Asian style. I’m just making sure. Umami salt. These are the best chips we’ve had so far. ’cause they’re actual chips. I’m so attracted to this lineup of chips. Mm-hmm. You, you, you like the design? Yeah. Well, I gotta call, hold on, I’m gonna come back up. Yep, yep. You should. No, come on out. Dang. Dang. These are good. They’re now, they’re style chips. Stevie. Now they’re not, I don’t do this often umami enough. I don’t do this often. We eat a lot of things. They’re very. Often. Yeah. Why is this a thing? I don’t, I think I’m just really hungry right now. You really want some salt. They just taste like salted chips now. These spicy barbecue. Korean stuff. Oh, yes. That, that’s what I was most attracted to. Mm-hmm. When it is and it’s good. That delivers. Hmm. That’s like the mailman. These are too strong. I hate to say it. What is it? Spicy hot pot. Pot. Chinese style. They have a nice lemongrass after finish though. Hmm. After finish? After finish. I, I got it first. I got lemongrass first. Okay. Thank you. I’m sorry, I, I’m I, yeah, I’m feeling– These are not. Not my decision though. These are not bad at all. Spicy hot pots. I think the biggest development here, all of these are good. And that Stevie just told us that she was attracted to chips. What does that make her? I stand by it. A chipsbian. A chipsbian. I think that. Laysbian. There it is. So funny. Not fun. Laysbian being That should be a Super Bowl commercial next year. Laysbians. You heard about the laysbians? This is the best one. They’re taking over. Nothing sells chips like lesbian humor. Yeah. Yep. Munch. Little munch. Little time for a little munch. Punch. Alright. And then I’m putting these second because they’re still really good. They’re better than you. They got, they got better as I, as I. They’re better than you want to admit. Hold it tight a second. Yeah, I did what you said. Now I do want some more of these though. ’cause these are good. We don’t have other Right. We have all, yeah. Hmm? We have all, oh, that’s, yeah.
