GMMore 2826: Testing Weird Workout Equipment

Welcome to Good Mythical More. Oh, careful. Don’t hurt yourself. Yep. Yep. We’re gonna, well, not yet. We’re gonna do that later. We’re gonna hurt ourselves today. Thanks for joining us in Good Mythical More because we are trying weird exercise equipment as sold and seen on the internet. But first we’re gonna tell a 10 word story. This is gonna be a quick one, lizard. Love. To. Travel. With. Snail. Caravans. Caravans because. They’re, they’re. Capable. Lizards love to travel with snail caravans because they’re capable. That’s more of a fact than a story. Every fact is a story. If you follow it for long enough. Um, this thing is scary. I’ve seen these. I don’t know what the, I’ve never tried one. I don’t know what the weight on this one is, but I see there’s these, there’s things that pop up in my, my feed, and it’ll be like giving like 10 of these to some big guy and seeing if he can keep going up. You just got one, you look like you’re gonna hurt your underarm. It’s hurting my underarm, but it’s getting my biceps. Okay, what’s the, and then, oh, I guess it’s lighter than having to have a dumbbell that you lift in that way. I think that that particular one, I mean, I think it’s the only thing that you can do where you can do something like this. Like what other, what other thing? Squeezing something together. What is that working? Well, it’s working now in my chest a little bit. Yep. If you do some math, it’ll work your brain. Your forearms. Four times eight. 32! And then try to do your, do your, your, your tricep. What, what Chase said was they had a picture of somebody doing this and it said, work your bicep, and then it said, work your tricep. And it was the exact same picture. Yep. Because Yeah. But then maybe behind the head. That wouldn’t be your tricep. How would you get your tricep to work that? And then this way, that’s what you did this, right? I don’t, this isn’t really doing anything different. But they’re all doing something. Ow. You know what I’m saying? Oh, and then what about– If it’s hard, it’s doing something. What about the, um, ThighMaster? ThighMaster. I feel like this is gonna, gonna fly out and hurt me. You want me, want me to sit down and do it? Yeah. Legs up. There you go. Oh, oh. There you go. That’s hard. That’s hard to do. This is for if you’re getting ready to go out and catch a big fish. You know what I’m saying? You seen those videos with those guys on the boat? They catch ’em with their knees. Well, they just got like a big rod right here. Like, oh shoot. Oh God, I’m gonna go on the water. Not anymore with this thing. I have not seen these. Hold on. You don’t see. You don’t see big fish? Oh, shoot. I would go in the water. I’ve never seen. You’ve never seen like a, a swordfish jump into somebody’s boat before? Uhuh. You’ve been watching the wrong TikTok. Oh man, you need to see a big old fish come in there and get on and man, oh, oh God. Oh Lord. Oh lord. I’ve got a big fish on the line. See, so what, and that’s, that’s working your crotch. So you can stay in, because a lot of times you’ll get pulled into the water. Yeah. And also when you, when when you’re dehooking, when the, when the fish comes in, you put in between your legs and take the hook out. It’s a lot of leg strength in fishing. How would you do your tricep? Because to do your tricep, you have to extend, I think it might be a two man thing to do a tricep. Well, that’s what we have. So how do I, how do I, how would I make. Oh, I know what you would do. No, it’s hard. It’s already straight. It seems like a really bad puppet when you do it that way. Like, like you can’t work your tricep with this. It’s untricepable. It’s impossible. But you could do this while watching tv. You’re sitting there and going. Looking over at your wife every once in a while. Yeah. Looking back at Pedro Pascal. Looking back at your wife. Looking back at your wife. I don’t wanna do that anymore ’cause it hurts too bad. Um, but since you’re up, Rhett, stay up. Let me give you this one. This one’s the figure trimmer. Oh, I, it’s, it’s a wiki-wiki device here where you put your feet on this and then you work your core. You just step on it. Whoa. And now do a little twisty action. Look over at your wife. Look back at Pedro Pascal. Now go further. Look at your wife. Like, do your hand arms further. There you go. I think you want to keep your, keep your eyes straight. Pedro Pascal. And then go further. Yeah. Further all at once. Oh, he’s going all the way around. Let me try it. It’s fun. I don’t think it’s doing anything. It’s fun though. You don’t think this is fun? I mean, you don’t think it’s doing anything. I said it’s fun, but I don’t know what it’s doing. There’s no resistance. There’s no resistance. I mean, it’s, well, good is probably an overstatement. It’s better than sitting. It’s better than sitting, but I don’t think it’s gonna trim your figure. Uh, what’s this one though? This is a water bottle shaped like a weight. So as you go throughout the workout, everything gets easier. But you get heavier. You ever think about the amount of water you drink as weight, water, weight? Yeah. It’s called water weight. Okay. Not a lot going on here. It’s not very heavy. That’s heavy. I, I’d be afraid to take that to the gym. It is nice. Put your, um, put your thing inside of it. You shake it up. Oh, look at how the top shakes, but the bottom doesn’t. Oh, there’s some sort of fluid dynamic. Yeah. Look at that. You want some nutter butter protein in there? No. Yeah, let’s get some nutter butter in there and see what happens. I’m gonna put– I wonder if it’s only gonna stay up here. I’m gonna put approximately. 25 grams of protein. That is a, that is a lot of powder. See if you can get it fully. That is a big scoop. Fully distribute. It’s, well, it’s not as tall as a lot of scoops. I think it’s the same size as most. Oh, nope. It’s getting down there. Alright. This really goes to show you how it, how it, how it works. It, there’s, take that to the, this is more flavorful. This is less flavorful. What you got in your bottle? What is that in your bottle? That works pretty good. It’s got floaties. Is that, what is that in your bottle? Nutter butter, bro. Ugh. I don’t know why you like it. Not good. Eugha! Check out this. This is for. Oh, grip strength. For the hands. Very important. I know what this one is. That’s how they figure out how long you’ve gotta live, how strong your grip is. Yeah. Your grip gets weak. You, then you die. If you ever go into, um, the hospital. How’d this [bleep] ring get in here? You, you smush on it. You smush on it, and this is helping with your finger strength. Yep. And being able to put on rings of any type and that helps you grab the hook out of the fish’s mouth. Oh yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah, I don’t, I’m not really one for working on grip. I haven’t had the need to like have a real, be real grippy. I’ve seen these before though. Each thing. I’m not one to work on the grip. I haven’t had the need to be real grippy, is a blanket statement I’ve never heard before. Right? Yep. Yeah. I mean it’s, this is the first grip. I haven’t had the need to be real grip. This is if you get while you’re taking the hook out of the fish’s mouth. If your hand gets stuck in the fish’s mouth and he is, so grasp hold of me like a fish. Yeah. And then I gotta get out. Oh, or an alligator mouth. Yeah. Or an alligator sometimes. Yeah. Yeah. If you train enough, you can get out an alligator. How many of those can you do, like burn out on it? I don’t think I’ve got it on right first of all. ’cause I, there’s put it on. Right. And let’s, let’s count down. We’re gonna do a little burnout. What makes the most, oh, this makes the most sense for the thumb to be the one that is not close to the rest of ’em. Okay. Alright. See, you gotta go big and you gotta go strong. I mean, I don’t know if I’m ever gonna stop, but it’s not, it is like, I don’t know if there’s a number. I could do it forever, but it’s not easy. Uh, yeah, try that. It makes your hand feel weird. I mean, do you want me to try that or do you want me to try this? No, you’re gonna laugh at me. About that thing. I’ve got something just like that at my house. Oh. That neck thing. Oh, oh, oh. Well then show me how to use it. Well, I have– I could do that forever, but it is hard. I have a thing called the Iron Neck. Iron Neck? Which is a hat that you put on. Then it has a bungee cord that attaches to like a weight set, like on a cable machine. I’m sorry, what? So you could go like this. I do it because I’ve got cervical issues. This one seems less safe than the one that I have. Look like. Who’s the guy who, who’s the, who’s the guy who comes to see Ebenezer Scrooge? Who’s the first guy? Marley. Yeah. You’re a little like Marley. Oh. Oh. And then what do you do? You just walk around with this. Who goes there? Who goes there in the night? I am coming to get you. I’m coming as fast as I can. I think you’re supposed. Okay. Spread ’em. Spread ’em. Oh God. Okay. All right. Now reel a big one in. This man’s ready to fish. I mean, sign this man up for a deep sea charter. Sign him up for a charter. Oh God. Here, here. This is hard. This is hard. Get your grip. And put on this [bleep] ring. Okay. Ah! We don’t know what’s gonna happen on this fishing trip. I’m definitely burning. I’m definitely burning. So. Here, put it up. Put the ring on me. Put the ring on me. Which ring? The red one. Oh. Where do you want it? Oh, where do you want it? I want it on my three fingers. Alright, here we go. Okay. Uh. So. I don’t love that. Yeah, I don’t love that. That’s one of my least favorite. I’ll show you the one that I got. I have a lot of workouts that aren’t my favorite and that’s one of my least that I’ve done. This thing. So it’s, you can go from any angle. So you strap your head to the, to a pole? Yeah. Well, I’ve got the, like, you know, the cable machine and so you, so I do it because I’ve got neck issues. And you know what, the neck issues went away like the last time I woke up. You know, sometimes you’ll wake up with a crick in your neck. Yeah, man. I haven’t done that in like four years. Not one time since I’ve been doing that thing. But when’s the last time you were doing that thing? Once a week. I do it once a week. You strap it to some in front of you and you– You strap it and it’s just like, it’s like elastic. You put the thing on your head and then you just go, you just say, Nope. You just look around. Nope. I practice saying no to my wife. Boo. Uh, and then you turn like this and you go. You shouldn’t deny her. And then you go like this. You wouldn’t, you would not be anywhere you are if it weren’t for her. And then you go like this. And me. And then you’re done. And then you’re done. This is an interesting one. The wrist ball, if you have like a wrist problem, like carpal tunnel, you take this thing, it’s got this gyroscopic. Let’s see, so I’m supposed to take this and. You wind it up. I wind it up and I can, I can tell that it’s getting more difficult to wind up. Oh yeah. Is that good for your wrist? And then once you wind it up, you hold it in your hand and as this unspins inside, I think you have to, I don’t, I haven’t tried it. So it’s a gyroscope. Oh, oh wow. That feels weird. So it creates natural resistance. And if you go fast enough, it lights up. Is it lighting up? Yes, a little bit. Trust me. Is this like for teachers to erase the board faster? You should see my teacher erase. I mean, my wrist is working out. I’m working out my wrist. Oh, now let me stop it and so you can do it. Okay, I’m gonna roll. I’m gonna, I’m gonna wind this baby up for you. It’s kind of cool feeling. It’s unanticipatable. Well, I don’t get to do that part? You don’t need to do that part, but that’s part of it. Hold it in place. That’s part of it. And just. Roll it as far as you can, and then hold it up here and, oh, yeah, see oh, oh see. Oh, it’s harder than it looks, but easier than it is. I would be able to open any door, like your door gets up, any of those doors that you gotta open like that. It’s not, it’s not like this. Your door gets stuck wrong way. Now I do have wrist pain, so maybe this will help me. If I’ve done it this one time and never again, just to be clear, maybe what I already did will help me for the rest of my life. I think you’re just supposed to, it is supposed to be easy. That’s like. Are you feeling, are you feeling something? Are you feeling it? What are you feeling? Tell me what you’re feeling. It’s a little pop every time. Oh, you’ve got a hitch. And then I’m gonna go with this. Um, I mean, once we build up our grips, what are we gonna do with it? Fish. Mm-hmm. We’re gonna fish. I mean, think about how strong of a grip you gotta have. You gotta have strong thighs. You gotta have a strong core. You gotta have strong grip. Two hands. Take the bait out. We put the bait on. Take the fish out. Yeah. Yeah. Think of all the things that we’re gonna do on this fishing trip. I’m not really going fishing though. Really?
