Can we figure out which of these brands are the oldest? Welcome to Good Mythical More. You guys, so Chase, you gonna give us some brands. I'm gonna give you some brands knowledge and some questions about the brands. Chronology of brands. 1972, you got the chronology. 1985. What if I'm, what if one of us is right? Hmm. Well, I don't think, is that the question I ate too fast? Probably ate too much. Too fast. You, you guys ready? Sure. Which came first? The founding of Jim Beam or the first ever Oktoberfest. Well, feels like the first ever Oktoberfest is what's would think is the correct answer. I mean, Germany's a lot older than, um. What? Jim Beam is an American grant, right? It's an American institution. So Oktoberfest, Oktoberfest precedes the Americas. You would think so. I mean, this is, well, I mean, not existence German. I think October, you know mean Fest comes from like 1,136 and I think Jim Beam comes from 1699, no much later. So you're saying Octoberfest came first? Octoberfest is first. That is incorrect. Oktoberfest is a, is a recent addition to a German celebration. Oktoberfest is a more recent tradition than Jim Beam is a company. So you're not telling us the year. I'm not gonna give you any more. Oh, we, we get a piece of information. Octoberfest is later than we must do with that. What we will do with that. Okay. Alright. Okay. All right. I'm not gonna forget that. Which came first? Chicken. The founding of Colgate or the moon landing? Are you talking about the college? Are you talking about? We're talking about brands. So this is the, yeah, maybe. And what is Moon? Moon Landing College? I've never heard of that. Okay. I'm going, moon Landing was 60 19 69. Seven. 69. Yeah. Colgate's gotta be before that. Colgate's before that it's got, it's such a conglomerate. Colgate is, uh, probably 47. Colgate did come out before the moon landing. Yes, it did. Yeah. 4, 19 40, 47. Okay. All right. Which came first? We got a chronology here. The founding of John Deere or the death of the last surviving Civil War vet. Oh, I don't know if he said that at the end. We're gonna take all of these brands and we're gonna put them in an order. Yeah, yeah. Did we say that? This is the easiest one so far. John Deere was founded before the last Civil War vet died because the last Civil War vet probably died. Um, he was probably like 18 years old in 19 65, 18 65. And so then when he was a hundred, it was like 1940. Seven or something like that. I would, I don't know about the math. So, and John Deere, I mean, how could John Deere have not been before that John Deere tractor is probably in the thirties. What he said John Deere is before the death of the last Civil War vet. Yep. John Deere's before the death of last surviving Civil War veteran. Okay. Okay. Okay. Which came first The founding of Nintendo or the sinking of the Titanic? RMS Titanic. So, well, if Nintendo did something before they made the Nintendo, what did Nintendo do before they made a Nintendo? Did they have arcade games in the, but still you're talking seventies. The Titanic is earlier. The Titanic, it was, uh, has to be Was the twenties, the roaring twenties is when that that sank. Right? It wasn't the forties. See the twenties or forties? Maybe the thirties. Uh, but Nintendo, Nintendo's older than that. I mean younger. Yeah, that's what I meant. The opposite of what I said. Yeah. Yeah. So Titanic is older than Nintendo. Nintendo is older than the sinking of the RMS Titanic. See, I think Nintendo like it used to be like a blacksmith shop. It might be HMS. Yeah. We learned in a previous episode about what. Uh, Nin did their first company, uh, first products were, um, Nintendo used to make playing cards. That was their first product. So we learned that. Many moon. Well, we did, but it seems like you guys didn't really many moon landings ago. I mean, playing cards. Yeah. That's pretty wild. Okay. I'm not gonna forget that. All right, which came first? The founding of Yoplait or the birth of Elvis? The founding of Yoplait. So Elvis was, what a historic moment. Elvis, Elvis. Said the founding of every single time. In 1977. He was what, 45 years old? 40 years old. 35. Well, how old was Elvis when he died? 40, 1977, he died. Young forties, I would hope. So, if he was 40 in 1977. We'll do, we'll add on a little bit. So that means 1930. He was 42 when he died. So now he's born in 1935. Yoplait. When was Yoplait founded? Founded. You weren't thinking about yogurt in the thirties, right? No. Yogurts later. Yogurt. Yogurt didn't even exist until the fifties. Yogurt's younger than Elvis. I mean, not yogurt in general. Yoplait. Yoplait. Elvis came first. The birth of Elvis came first before the founding? Yes. Got it. Okay. Alright, we're locked in. All right, two more. Which came first, the founding of Pepperidge Farm or the invention of basketball. What was the guy, uh, who invented? Uh, they, James Na Smith Naysmith. There's always the pictures of him during March Madness with the ba, the, the actual basket. But there's video of it. There's video. Maybe there's just video in my mind, but I feel like there's video. Is it, is it a TikTok like vertical video of the movie? Winning of basketball is ai. Um, I know we've already had the 100th anniversary of basketball. Uh, so I think basketball was like 19. Oh. 13, 19. Oh 13 and what was the 1913. What was the other thing? The founding of Pepper Bridge Farm or the invention of basketball. Pepper Farm. Pepper Bridge Farm is a old school company. Uh, these are tough though because they sell dried meats. You think they've been around a long time. Which dried meat do they sell? Pepper Farm. They sell cookies, Pepper's, farm. Yeah, I thought they saw the, uh, the dried meat assortment that you got every year at Christmas. Huh? Remember the dried meat and cheese thing that like, you're, that's not peppers buddy. Who is that? I don't know, but it ain't, it ain't peppered. Who would you get a dried meat package from every year? Uh, a relative. It's not a Whitman sampler. If that's what you're getting at, that's chocolate. So you don't even know that a relative gave you, it was un it was lightly branded. It wasn't like the, the brand was the big thing. Hickory Farms. Hickory Farms, maybe Summer sausage from Hickory Farms. That's what I'm talking about. Let's not Pepperidge Pepper and Hickory Farms. Pepridge is, they're adjacent. I know. They share a fix. In a previous episode, you, when, when we were trying to figure out, uh, the vending machine game, you thought that Peppers Farm was not a major brand. So I think you're, you've been selling Pepperidge Farms short for your entire life. I thought it was, I've always thought it was Hickory Farms. Hickory has got nothing on Pepperidge. You know what I'm saying? Well, that shit, pepper is some line on big time. Pepper is big time. Hickory's barely getting by these days. Yeah. Well, I got some living to do. All right, so which came first? Pepper is older than basketball. Wow. Wrong. Basketball came first. Okay. All right. The Hickory Farms, the one that I was talking about way before. Okay. Which came first? The founding of Oscar Meyer or the ratification of the 19th Amendment, which is obviously a woman's right to vote. Yes. Good job. And that was glad he knew that and that was done. Yeah. Snaps back here from a, that was done way later than it would've been done if I was in charge. Okay. You got a lot more snaps for that. If I was around at the beginning with my little powdered wig on, I would've put you ladies in charge right from the beginning. I would've said, you know what? Let's just fix everything that we're about to F up, put 'em in charge. That's what I would've done. But I ain't got no time machine because John Deere hasn't been invented yet. Sorry, I was just trying to tie it back into the brands. John Deere invented a time machine. Ah, maybe in some timeline, but when was that? It was the 19 hundreds. It was after the Civil War, so it was after 1865. You've got the women's suffrage unit. Unit, uh, women's suffrage, uh, movement. I meant to say. I'm gonna say I think that's 19 0, 13. When did, when did women get the right to vote? 19. Oh, way too late. Way too. We're gonna say 19. Oh, 13. And what was the other option? The founding of Oscar Meyer. Now we're talking about the important part of this equation that seems like, uh, that's older. Well, the Wienermobile men. Men were, they were gonna make sure there was a wienermobile before women started voting. That's probably true. That's the seven Oscar Meyer's older than the woman's right to vote. That's correct. Oscar Meyer is older. That is sad. So now we need to test our ability to put these in an order chronologically. Oh my God, this is crazy. And can we, oh crap. You can use all that knowledge where I think you got. The problem is I don't have right out of the seven. So we said that Nintendo made cards. Made cards. And Hold on, let's do this. 'cause this, help me figure out the other thing that Nintendo was older then Nintendo was older than what you're not gonna remember. Are you okay Colgate? Uh, I can't remember 'cause I was just blown away with the cards parked. Well, okay, let's go. I was glad that I, what was the Titanic? We were con, there was something about the Titanic. The Titanic was John. Was John Deere the Titanic? No, Jim, Jim Beam. Let's know what let's, is older than Oktoberfest. Yes, I know that. So what side is old? Old? Your site. What and what else do we know? Um, that Pepperidge farm is not Hickory Farm and Pepper Farm. It was, and that it was younger than Elvis. No, Elvis was, who was Elvis? Oscar Meyer is older than a woman's right to vote, which was like, we're gonna say it was like early 19 hundreds. So this is late 18 hundreds. Late 18 hundreds. Yeah. And I think I, we, we said, we thought that Colgate, I'm just gonna, going with the, where the numbers settled in my brain, which I was saying Colgate was like. The 30. Do you remember what Colgate was against? Uh, peppers Farm is very old. Let's move the Colgate. John Deere is the John Deere and the moon. What was the moon landing? Moon landing? Was the moon landing John Deere or was the moon landing Yoplait? You asked about Colgate College. What? And I made a really funny joke. Can we phone a friend? Why am I expected to remember things at all ever? That's not one of my, we might allow to phone a friend. Uh, I wanna remember, I would just like you to tell me. I don't want you to tell me which one was older. I just wanna point at one of these and I want you to tell me the thing that you told us about Colgate, and you know why you're gonna do that. And you're picking only one. Just for now, chase, why am I gonna do that? Because. It's fun. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday dear Chase. Happy birthday to you. Chase you stinker. It's your birthday today. Do you remember? That was me blowing out the candles. Yeah, I do remember if you didn't know, Chase's birthday is on four 20 and so we got him a very special care package that we cannot bring out right now. Four and 20 blackbirds baked in a pie. Yes. Yes, queen, uh, thank you employers. That was very kind of you. So now, I mean, now you owe us. Now you've returned the favorite. What was the queen? I'll tell you that. Uh, we talked about Colgate and the moon landing and Colgate was older than the moon landing. Yep. Okay. So it's like 1940s, fifties Peppers farm. Nintendo was really, was shockingly old. What was that before? That was Octoberfest. No, that was Jim Bean. No, hold on. Let's think about this. 'cause we know this because the thing that I was thinking about, the, the thing that was, uh, on the other side of Nintendo, it was Nintendo or Dang it. Why do we remember the other things I'd see, I was in charge of remembering Nintendo. Well, we should had a system was a card. Uh, company. That's what I was in charge of. Okay. Chase. Uh, just because of the birthday thing, what is the thing that was compared to Nintendo? The sinking of the Titanic? Yes. Yeah. Which we said was the twenties. That's what you said. Yeah. Uh, so this may be as Nintendo may have actually been making playing cards in the 18 hundreds. Here's the thing, 18 hundreds. Well, here's the thing with a name like Japan, like futile Japan, like Japan before. Uh, world Wari had stayed very isolated and very much the same for a long time. So Nintendo, if it started before all that stuff. Mm-hmm. It could be like 1700, it could be like 16 hundreds. It could go way, way back would be wild. Nintendo may be first. No, that's crazy, man. Don't do that. Well, Jim Beam, do you think Jim Beam started somewhere besides America? I thought this was like 16 hundreds. Let's look at late 16. Look at the insignia here. The standard sense edited. They lead, they lead with the, with the years. Jim Beam's, not older. Alright, let's lock in. How many do we have? Right? One second. I'm, I'm just counting a high number here. Oh, good one. I think I'm counting one. You have one, correct? Which one? Can you tell us which one's correct? You have Yoplait, correct. Okay, so So switch these two for sure. Right. And then John Deere's younger than Yoplait. You mean Colgate or, I mean, yeah, then and then you gotta switch. Yeah. I think we gotta do this. And then I think, yeah, everything moves. We just, everything moves. So now we're all locked in. All right. Now you have two. Correct. Okay. Probably Jim Beam is the oldest now. Yeah. We're, uh, book ending some correct. Answering and everything else. So this, this is what, what? Pepperidge is real old. I've been, I, I knew, I've been knowing that. And then these two have to switch, but we already switched these. No, I think you're right. Well, by now, two Jim BM play. We haven't not improved on anything. Something's gotta move back. Is Colgate super old? I think John Deere Colgate is super old. And then what am I doing moving John Deere older? Yes, we're locked in. Congratulations. You have three. Oh my God. It's peppers, isn't it? Is it? No, it's Colgate and then it's Nintendo. You got Colgate, correct? Now? Yeah, we're building it. And then it's John Deere is, yep. Yeah. Yep. And then now we're locked in. And now we're locked in. Now we're locked in. You now have five. Four. Four. You have four, correct. Is John Deere right? No. You have Jim Beam, Colgate, Pepridge Farm, and Yo Plate. You're building from We're going into the middle. Yeah. I think John Deere gotta go back. And then Nintendo. Yes. This. Nope. But then that's gotta switch. Now we're locked in. Yes. Okay. Let's think about this. Jim Beam. Jim Colgate. Give us the years here. Chase. Okay, so Jim Beam, 1795. Okay. Colgate? 1806. Oh, wow. It's so old. That toothpaste. Mm-hmm. John Deere, 1837. Whoa. Oscar Meyer. 1883. Oh. Nintendo 1889. That's still wild. Crazy. Pepperidge Farm, 1937. And Yoplait. 1965. 1965. Yogurt comes about. And you know what, chase, it's your birthday, yo. Play it up. Or my play. All right, everyone come to my place and we'll, uh, hang out with the care package that is about crows for. It's and pies. Yeah, but Black, the way it works at your birthday party, your place is, everyone has to pick one of these and bring something from this brand. Okay. So somebody's bringing a tractor, not me. I'm bringing wieners. Oh, I was gonna bring wieners. I, I'll bring, um, uh, I'll bring the, uh, sausage. Sausage. Okay. All right.
