Which crew member has the best evil laugh? Welcome to Good Mythical More. Let's explore the evil laughs of our crew members by listening to them, see if we can guess who it is, and then ranking them. I don't think we have any evil people here. I mean, I, I, I think that they're all putting on. So crazy of an assertion. Well, let's hear the first one. Chase. It's long, Chase. I mean- Definitely Chase, right? It's Chase. It's Chase. It just sounded like his voice. Let's hear it again now that we can see him. It's coming from the bread basket. But it doesn't sound evil. How could he? You know what I'm saying? It just doesn't sound evil. It, it doesn't feel like he's got the, an evil bone in his body. So that's why we're putting it over here- That is so rude … 'cause it feels kind of … I mean, what's the most evil thing you've ever done? Um, kill, I killed, uh, seven, uh, bugs the other day. Wow. Sound, sounds like you just formulated a lie. Seven bugs. I lie, I li- I lie a lot. I do. Oh, you, you lied about killing bugs? I lied. Seven bugs? Seven bugs. Really, though? No, usually I trap them and release them. Oh, really? You know what? Some people do that, and I gotta respect it. No, no, no, no. Is that better? No. Okay. It's not … I bet, I bet you somebody's will be better, worse. Let's hear the next one. What happened at the end, Carney? Isn't that Carney? I think it's Carney. I think it's me, too. I don't remember, but I think it's me. Carnitas. Uh, it fell apart there at the end. Yeah. You, you became a little unhinged, which I think is a nice touch. You know what I'm saying? It- Did you, did you run out of breath, energy, or just belief? I think breath. I think I w- I was, I expelled too much breath too early. I would say play it again, but it's not- And then you decided to not do it again it's too long You just went with it. I think the fact that it wasn't consistent kind of puts it below Chase. Oh, yeah. You know? Okay. I just feel like Chase fully committed and di- and just, and from beginning to end, it was as evil as he could be. Are these the latest pictures from our Mythical picture day? No, those are over a year old. Over a year old, okay. Yeah, I don't like mine. Oh, you don't? Why, 'cause you wore a T-shirt? I wore a cardigan over my T-shirt. Oh, I know. Now I see it. It's hard to … Oh, it's hard to, it's hard to … I was looking in the monitor, where there's low contrast. Okay, yeah, you … Okay. You both have a T-shirt with a- In a cardigan and a collarless… It, was that the look that everybody did that last year? Let's hear the next one. That's my, that's Mikayla all day long. Mmm. That's Mikayla all day long. That, that's good, though. And I'll tell you what, we just put a hidden microphone in her office and that's what we got. That's just what, that's the noise you make when you're just working at your laptop. Yeah. Just working. When she's putting together an email. On a regular day to day. It's just like this y- you're cooking up something sinister. Always. Always. Yes, it was. Did you like it? Yes. This email will send fright through the community of workers. It was definitely a laugh that an evil character would do to themselves. Right. Not an intimidation laugh like, "I'm gonna do this in front of you." Yeah. It's more like, "I just thought of something." I'll do it in front of people, too. I don't really care. Oh, you will? Yeah. I have to strike fear- Oh, even that one … in the heart. That one's evil. That was evil to you, too? That was just your normal laugh. I think you just think I'm evil. It's in the evil category. I mean, I feel like my laugh has evolved ever since people started, you know, both on the internet but in my regular life when people would be like, "You have a few laughs." You have the when you're like really, you really find something funny. Right. I think I've stopped doing that because so many people are like, "What's wrong with you?" Yeah, it's, it's percussive and scary. And then I have my courtesy laugh that I will do for for a guest. Uh, you know, that I'm trying to support. Uh-huh. I'm trying to be one, uh, you know, show some support. And, uh, and then I have my like, "I thought that was funny, but I'm conscious of the fact that I'm laughing," which I think is like Yeah. And then I think sometimes yours goes Oh, the wind down laugh. That's Jessie. Jessie's a wind down. Oh, really? When Jessie was on Ear Biscuits, people were like, "Oh, she's a wind down laugher." And we were like, "What is a…" You also have a non-audible laugh that you do. No, like you kinda like close your lips and like . Like if somebody says something sort of out of pocket, maybe inappropriate, you'll laugh to yourself like, "I know I'm not supposed to laugh at this." You're kinda doing it. Yeah, like that. Is that it? Mm-hmm. You gotta have multiple laughs. I don't, I actually don't know what my laugh… Am I, do I have a la- do I have a laugh? Uh, well- It's very like bro-y to me … it's, it can be tough to get- It can be tough to get a laugh out of you. That's Will Smith. That's how Will Smith laughs. Yeah. It can be tough- Is that how I laugh? … to get a laugh out of you. As your long-term comedy partner, it can be tough to get a laugh out of you. Like that? Yeah. That's fake. But, but that's where it, it's in here. It's not down here. Mwah. Now, if you wanna do, if you wanna do a evil, it's Mwa-ha-ha-ha. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha. I think- Like that mwa-ha? Yeah. Let's sh- l- let's see what else we got. Did anybody do a mwa-ha-ha? Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. Mwa-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha. Well, that's Davin, first of all. And it's number one. I thought it was Zach. It's number one. It's number one so far. I thought it was Zach Miller. This is like that game where your employees get behind you- It's just not deep enough … you know, from last year, and just talk. We're just going by laugh. We're pretty good so far. I don't think it's better than Mikay- Mikayla's is true to life. Davin is, it's, it's like a cartoon character. Well, maybe it was the serendipity of saying mwa-ha-ha- Right … that he did a mwa-ha-ha. In, switch those two. There was s- there was so much truth in Mikayla's laugh that w- it disturbed me. But that, what you just did, Davin. That's your real laugh. Do that again. Ha ha ha. Yes. Well, I mean, I- Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That was a fake laugh. Yeah, but that's what you do. You know, my genuine laugh. It's h- it's a high laugh. It, yeah. I like it because it sort of pierces through. You know? Like, people have begun to- Yeah … recognize individual laughs amongst the crew. Mm-hmm. And it's just like d- p- people have different … Like, you want a spectrum of laughter. Yeah. You want the mwa-ha-ha-ha and the he he he he he. Ah ca ca ca ca ca ca ca ca ca ca ca. But you don't- Who was that? But you don't want a That's Popeye. But you don't want a distracting laugh. I can't remember where I w- where I was recently, and I don't think it was a m- it was some kind of performance, but it wasn't a movie. And then I started realizing that, oh, no, I'm g- that woman's laugh is going to be a part of my night. She was, like, four seats back. Ha ha. Kind of like- It was like- … bird call? Uh, it was … Yes, this is … Oh, you, you know what it was? I think it was a movie. It was a movie that everybody was laughing at, but it was like, yeah, it's not that funny. It's not, not every single thing that is happening is funny. And now I'm, like- Hm … hearing a joke and beginning to anticipate, "Well, what's she gonna think about this one?" You know? That was unfortunate. Next. Y- you wanna rein it in a little bit. Mm-hmm. Wow. That was pretty good and I can't- That's pretty good … immediately place it. Can you? No. Maybe that's Zach Miller? Um, do it again It's James. Sound man James. That's the sound man laugh. Yeah. That's the sound man who reads a lot of fantasy novels. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like he- I mean, that's definitely better than Davin … he understands the world. That's definitely better than Davin. That's, I… There's a t- … That's a … I mean, I don't know. I mean, it- it's more classic it's- it's a voiceover. It's more classic. It's a character laugh. Like, I might put that in a cartoon. Yeah. You know? I think, I think we might do that. Huh. How many total do we have? One more. All right, let's hear it. You know what that sounds like? It sounds like the orb from- Independence Day Two … uh, Independence Day Two. If it was, like, turned evil. So Jenna, we know this is you. Uh- That was good. This is great. I mean- That was good … th- this is the laugh of an evil woman in charge, you know? It's like- Yes … she's, she's cooking up- Oh my gosh, thank you a nasty plan, definitely better than Davin's story. Let's hear it again. Let's hear it again. But see, that's her real laugh. She just did it. See, Jenna's got that laugh- My real laugh … that rises above. I like it. Uh- I think this is the order. Okay. Um, but only one of them is, was, um, not put on at all. Which we should all be disturbed by. I wanna share something with you in the time we have left. The time we have. Um- Let's get, let's get these out of here. Um- Hold on. Is it gonna be serious? When you're laugh- No, it's just, when, it, it, what makes me think about it is, like, this laughing, like, when you do, like, a full When you, like, really get your face into a laugh- Yeah … it, it helps get it out there. But I discovered over my vacation the level of TMJ that I have- Mm … is greater than I thought it was. Oh. I, um- How'd you discover that? pain. Now, there was a time in my life where I woke up, it maybe only happened twice. I think I did an episode of either Good Mythical Morning or Good Morning Chia, Link, about this. There was like a TMJ story I told- Oh, sure … where, like, my jaw locked up, which is super scary, and then you feel like … The scary part is you don't know how to get it to, to move again. Somebody else has gotta grab it. And it, and it feels like if … No. It feels like it's, it's … Your jaw is just gonna break up in here. Like, um- One side? Uh, I can't remember what it was at the time, but what happened over vacation was … Well, not this va- in previous vacations when I- Why do it happens on vacation? When I'm really … It, it's kind of a strange phenomenon that, yeah, when I'm on vacation and I'm relaxing, Christy's like, "You're doing it again." Oh. I was like, "What?" She's like, "You're poking your face in weird ways." Oh, you've been doing face poking. Yeah. And it started on vacation where I guessed it, I was just, like, massaging myself and, like, sometimes I'll have a headache, like a tension headache, and I'll be pushing in here and I'm, and I'll find these spots where it's like, oh my gosh, there's so much pain. Yeah. And- And you don't do anything gently … and I'll … Yep. And but, but what I've learned from massage is that if you just embrace the pain and you push on it, it goes away. I wasn't exactly right about that, and I'll reveal why in a little bit, but this is how I discovered in this last time I was at home doing my vacation p- face poking. Yeah. And I know- Relatable … that I have a, that I have a jaw … I, I, I have jaw muscle issues because I chew so damn much. Yeah. And always have. So I'm pushing in here, and then, uh, my thumb happens to go underneath the back of my jaw and I'm just kinda, like, working around. Are you f- getting good f- like, response from this? Or, like, is it feeling good? No, no, what's happened is I … It feels good to push- Are you curious? … on places that are painful. And when I put my … And this kinda hurts and it feels tight, so I push on it. And, uh, I push on the places where it hurts, like up here where I'm … Like, all around my ear and, like, under where my glasses go, and then sometimes down my neck and in the back of my neck. You know I go to massages a lot, so, like, I feel like I can do better than them. But I r- my thumbs went underneath my, the back of my jaw, and I touched this spot right here. Oh, dear. And it was so painful. It just felt like just shoving your finger into a, the rotten spot on an apple. It just, like … I imagine that would hurt the apple. If you were an apple? Yeah. If you were an apple. Okay And then I remembered that v- I've seen these videos floating around on TikTok. The most notable one, country music singer LeAnn Rimes has this overhead shot and she's laying down, and then s- somebody else has got their finger in her mouth and they're pushing on the back of her mouth. Chiropractor. And she's, uh… It's not chiropractic. She, they're pushing on it and she's in a lot of pain, and she's trying to breathe through it, and then when they're done, the camera stays on her and she just starts, like, crying. Like, have you g- have you seen this video? Yes. She's just like, like, not just, like, a little bit of crying, just like, like- A release full, full body crying, and it's like this emotional release where she looks so sad and distraught, but then also happy. And I'm like, "I got to shove my finger down my throat." But this isn't something you'd do to yourself. It seems obvious to me. But I, so I'd started doing that. I was on vacation and I'm just, like, pushing inside my mouth and, like, finding places. Is, is anyone around when you're doing this? And Christy, and she's like, "You're doing it again. Stop it." I'm like, "I can't-" Well, I- does she leave the room? I can't help it, 'cause it feels, it hurts so good. It's like that John Cougar Mellencamp song. I think it's just John Mellencamp now. So these spots here, I found that, like, you know what? If I take my finger- Oh, God … and I put it- This is hard … inside- This is hard … like, I was like, the, when I go to the dentist, they, they push under my tongue on the inside of this to make sure there's not, like, cancer. My dentist does this. And I'm like, I can push on the outside where this thing is, and it's a m- it's a, it's a muscle knot. Or- Um, I'll also say, just- Please … that point in your jaw is also a pressure point that people use in a lot of, um, open-handed, uh, defense techniques. It is a pain pressure point. So I don't- Yes … I would be c- careful. I was careful. A little- Sounds like it … 'cause that is a… I would just take, and I said, "I'm gonna do like LeAnn Rimes and I'm just gonna breathe and I'm gonna relax and I'm gonna push on this spot from the inside and outside and kinda pinch it." And you do have to be careful because you don't wanna, you don't wanna push anywhere where there's a pulse. These are things I've learned after the fact. You don't- Whoa, whoa, hold on. Why? Because you don't wanna damage your arteries or send, um, accumulation, you don't wanna give yourself a stroke Uh, you know what? I wasn't planning on doing videos You also don't want to push on your lymph nodes and things like that, like your lymph node right here. But up in here- Well, it's too late … I could tell that it was, it felt like a guitar string. Boing. And I put, and it's to- It's a tendon … I'm totally… No, it's not. What it is is it's a tight muscle fiber and also the fascia, which I've learned about all this stuff. I signed up, I got relief and then I'm like, "I'm gonna go to somebody who's gonna shove their finger down my throat. I want this." Is this why the other day- I want, I want the lymph- … while you were on TikTok I was looking over your shoulder and virtually every video or every other video was somebody pressing on their face? Or some part of their body, yes. Just pressing on themselves. My entire social media feed now- Or letting other people press on them … is pushing on certain parts of your body called trigger points. The thing that I learned is, like, all this pain that I've had here when I've been, like, pushing on my head, all of that is doing nothing because it's referred pain from in here. Yeah. This right here, the fascia, which muscle is a form of fascia, but you've got, like, the Saran wrap that surrounds your muscle and, like, holds it all together, it can get really tight. And if, if you hold tension in places forever, like I have in my jaw, I think your body starts to build webbing to hold it in place so that you don't have to expend as much energy. Ki- that's, those are my words. You think that or you read that? I, I'm kind of inferring a little bit. But the, but y- to release the fascia and the muscles, you have to, like, push on it for a l- for, like, minutes at a time at the right pressure, and then it, it'll slowly break up and release. And then all of this tension that I have in my freaking jaw has now, like, removed all the pain that I have in my forehead. It is- So this is working? It's working. I mean, in two days I got rid of these spots entirely just by, like, shoving my finger back there and, like, messing with it. I was so afraid to touch stuff. Like, my collarbones, like, I've always been really freaked out to, like, touch my collarbones and stuff. Invite them to the party. But why do you need to touch your collarbone? And now, because all, everything attaches down here, and goes up here, and attaches here. And, like, this thing right here, I, I signed up for this myofascial therapy, and this guy laid me down on a table, and he grabbed it right here. And he- Hold on. You went to the somebody for this? Y- Trevor. His name's Trevor. Well, that's good. He, that's good. I, I want that info. And- I, I've, I'm dealing with TMJ, too, and I- You, you see that thing right here? I, I need that. He grabbed this thing and just pinched it- I feel like you should leave it- … for three minutes … leave it to Trevor … and then what he would do is- Let's just leave it to Trevor and then he would go down here in the middle of it, and he would pinch it. And then what he would do is after three minutes, he would start to twist it. Whoa. And I'm laying there just breathing through the pain and just thinking about LeAnn Rimes. I am LeAnn Rimes. I am getting loose like LeAnn. Did you cry? They said you gotta, you gotta be ready for an emotional release in the moment or later. I never experienced that. So you're, like, storing memories in there or something? What, like, help me understand what, what… like, what happens. In a way, yes, because, like, the rea- Every time nana told you to chew 30 times, it's, like, stored in there and it's gonna come out? Uh, y- you know, hab- stress habits, like grinding your teeth at night, it's because you're stressed out about something. And if you're like, if you're walking around all day stressed out, like, I don't grind my teeth, but I hold my jaw in this state of tension constantly that is just a form of stress. But you could probably benefit- And my shoulders from one of those mouth guards, though, that keeps you from clenching your teeth. Because I don't grind my teeth, but I clench my teeth. My dentist was like, "Oh, you need this mouth guard." And I was like I don't think so. A- and he was like, "Well, you are … I can see that you are cl- you're clenching your teeth- Yeah at night." I honestly- And I, and I started doing that, and I think it's improved some things. It's … And it also kinda holds your teeth in place. It's like a little bit of like a little weak Invisalign. So they, so they don't fall out of a night? No. It's just like, you're n- your teeth continue to move as you get older, and so it's a way to kinda, like, keep your top teeth in place. Maybe that would help, too. But now I'm, like, pushing every- Ask Trevor about that … anywhere you … I bought this- Is this Trevor Trevor? No. Oh. Different Trevor. So I bought a book of myofascia, uh, release and trigger points, and they're all over your body. Jenna, like you're saying, if you push here, it'll release the pain that's up here. Yeah, yeah. If you push here, it'll, like, release the pain, uh, in your right butt cheek. Not really, but it's that type of- I started doing some of those … it's magic. But first, for mine, I just went to the us- UCLA Dentistry and, um, Oral Health, and they gave me a shot 'cause, like, they- Wow … I had, um, my, on my left jaw, w- the muscle on the left side is, um, like, spazzed out or whatever. I don't remember- Mm-hmm … the actual term they said. Yeah. But it was totally clenched, so they, they gave me- It's triggered … a shot to release that, and I did get weepy 'cause, like, I immediately felt the tension from the left side of my body- Yeah … go away. Really? And I got a little weepy and I was like, "I'm sorry I'm crying. That … I just … I forgot what, what not pain felt like." Yeah, you get used to it. Yeah. But the thing is, y- you need to learn to do it to yourself because you have a feedback loop of feeling that you can tell when you're getting the exact right spot. And once … I read the book, and it tells you where to find the, the magic spot. What are you doing? Tell me the book. What's the book name? I was just playing with my fingers. I need- You're that bored? Yeah. Y- he doesn't believe in this. Yeah. No, no, no. He … It's fine. You don't have to believe in it. No, no, that's not it. I don't wanna help you. I believe in it. I'm gonna help Jenna. This is one of, like, 100 p- problems that I don't have, so I'm not interested. I have lots of other physical problems. If you touch … So I can tell when I'm touching the right spots and- What's the book name? Uh, Myofascial Workbook or something like that. That sounds fun. Yeah. Christy was like, "You bought a medical book?" Yeah, this is very- "And you're reading it?" … un-Link-like. I'm like, "Yeah, 'cause I've been touching my face a lot and putting my finger down my throat. Remember? I'm on vacation." Amen. Yeah. There's a lot that goes into each and every episode of Good Mythical Morning. Mm-hmm. We have an incredible crew that puts a lot of hard work into each episode, and you can see their process. We also work hard, but- Yeah. You can see the behind the Mythicality process over on the Mythical Society. Yeah. I mean, I think maybe they work harder and I find out when I watch them too. That's right
