appreciate the fact that you do that hey you’re welcome um yeah so I’ve got some shark facts because are you think there’s shark doubt at this point no you can’t be you’re a shark month maybe they’ve done yeah they’ve done Shark Week for since the 80s right 1987 it’s crazy now I know that because the promo while you’re watching shark weeks is shelf nishanth or sometimes it’s 1987 I don’t remember that something is I have never experienced Shark Week because you’ve never had cable I know it’s sad well it’s a commentary on Adsense it’s a commentary on Adsense if I were making more money I could justify getting cable I just can’t do it myself I can’t justify it well I was watching it and cuz you justified it yeah that’s not why I don’t have cable because of Shark Week I have cable because you won’t tell you I have cable hey Rhett why do you have cable I have cable because you have to have cable to get yes and you have to have ESPN to get ESPN 3 360 or watch 360 watch ESPN which is the app which let lets you watch college sports which lets you watch NC State sports just the only way I can actually see NC State plate is on Basques which is a slow death yeah okay just torture alright speaking of torture so what is the one benefit of that year is Shark Week yeah and so uh interestingly enough I knew some of the facts that you that I didn’t want to give the right answers because you know I don’t want to I don’t want to you know show you up on the shows know you know I wanted to give funny answers not real answers I knew some of those because they’ve talked about a few of these sharks on Shark Week they talked about thirty could here’s like a shark analogy they’re like I want to swallow your nails I didn’t want to take a take a bite out of your side but I they did a show where they went through the 10 deadliest sharks like sharks that you should be afraid of in order of like how likely it is that you might get bitten by one I’m gonna lethal way yes and they got down to well like for instance for instance it is very very very common to get bitten by a shark off of the coast of Florida but no one ever dies because they’re getting bit by black tip sharks that just think that your feet or your hands are a fish and they bite it and you bleed and you come in twigs happens to like 30 people a year this one beach in Florida so you should be afraid of that shark you should be afraid of that shark but it’s not going to kill you so they gave it like number nine but you should be afraid of it so it’s on the list but it was like the the ones you should really be afraid of other ones that if you get attacked by a shark I you’re saying great white is not number one even though that’s the scariest shark it’s a cup is which one should you actually be the most scared of it was a great white number one no so what they’re taking into account is like okay for instance one of the deadliest sharks I think is the Mako like maybe some the Mako is really fast and it will just it bites you like crazy and it’s just super aggressive but they never come close to shore so you really don’t have to worry about him but like of like eleven people who have been attacked by these things like six of them have died they think I think is the Mako I could be wrong but they were like but we’re not we’re going to put him at number five because you’re never going to run into a mako shark if you’re just out on the beach like everybody else is and we’re going to put this black tip at number ten because people are going to get bit all the time but they’re going to just have a story to tell so they were like now everyone thinks that the great white should be number one and so they put the great white with another shark as the last two and they spent like the last 10 15 minutes of the episode explaining why this other shark is actually more dangerous does anybody have any guesses and that’s good mythical more we’ll see you tomorrow we have a hammerhead we have a tiger um we have a Greenland shark sand shark we have a sand shark that exists it does but it’s definitely not dangerous the bull shark shark uh bull sharks have low taboos the strongest bite of any shark stronger than the great light per square inch and they are very aggressive and I just saw a news report from over the weekend one was in Link pochet Pontchartrain the lake pleasure train because they can be in fresh water really or saltwater and it bit a seven-year-old kids that in Texas where is that budget ray budget Pontchartrain that Louisiana’s Lake Pontchartrain deafening heard of it is a huge in Florida it’s a huge crater lake I think really shallow Wow but they also find them lying Anna you were right they actually find them up way up the mouths of rivers because they like brackish water and then you can catch bull sharks just like out of a river how big do they get um I think twelve feet maybe bull shark is correct is the chart you should be scared of because they’re the ones that are most often when presented with the opportunity to bite they will and then the lethality of the bite is really high here’s the thing in closing you know that the people at Discovery Channel have sat in boardrooms and they said all right guys what’s what’s the next Shark Week you know they like having all these brainstorming sessions when they’re trying to figure like Randy comes in he’s like guys monkey week it’s gonna happen people are gonna love it you got cute monkeys you got ferocious monkeys you’ve got big monkeys you got small monkeys monkey week right right it’s like you’re fired yeah yeah monkey Ben Ben what I mean what what’s the thing that they’ve almost on they owe the replacement know that week no because Shark Week has is such a behemoth they you know you want to spin off they want to have like it you can’t be done that’s an interesting thing to Canada isn’t it’s an interesting thing that Shark Week is such a long as such longevity name one other animal that can kill you that the average person probably comes in close contact with any given year monkey deer deer snake week you don’t come in contact with an alligator but but all of us you can have a Gator day all of us have probably been within 50 yards of a of a shark that could have done serious damage to us in the past twelve months have you been to the beach I think I think Eddie’s right snake week would be the closest thing snake but but snakes have theirs they wig people out so much me included that you can’t market that but something about sharks there’s this there’s not a cute fire there’s no cute factor to sharks so what is the other thing that makes a snake week not work but a shark we work I think it’s just a water yeah people who don’t even like like if you if snakes were all in the water it could work but as water tell you what it is it’s the least of association with the destination and that’s why jaws was so yeah yeah because it people are like this is what we do this is our vacation but people aren’t like their vacation you’re around snakes all any time you go into the wilderness right but it’s nice it’s not the same and they’re small they’re not there they’re not like 20 feet and can swallow you whole I mean I guess they guess actually they they are sometimes like an anaconda but you’re not in a bathing suit right and you’re not like you know I don’t think when you get bitten by a snake you’re usually in the act of doing something you’re like oh yeah yep I was always camping I was trimming the verge so when you’re like I was surfing or I was I was in the middle of this amazing thing the peak of my vacation and then I got my foot bitten off snorkelling yeah I mean it doesn’t make sense when you think about it because you’re in their environment the surfer
