epic road trips of of any length or any harrowing experiences happen there uh you can you can share you got one what was your role in said tour you are a merge guy do I know this band what’s the name of the band odd project he’s like what I mean where you have fan first or a friend first or just an employee and how far how long of a tour how far did you go I can’t hear you walked over to the they complain about where the mic is yeah here you go talking right here about a month it was experimental hip-hop and what kind of marches you saw t-shirts CDs wristbands which man yeah Khushi anything crazy happening some stuff you can’t talk about on good mythical more okay I remember we um I remember one time we left Greensboro going back home to Raleigh and that should have been like a an hour long road trip but an hour later we realized we were going west the wrong direction so he had to turn around that was pretty epic yeah an epic u-turn we used to take trips we used to drive to West Virginia that was one of the things we would do during the winter snowboarding board is that when we pretty good trip is that when we saw the the guy the little person in a wheelchair singing karaoke and the door of a bar across the street from a gas station where we stopped to get gas he was outside he was in the doorway so in order to go in you had to walk right past him he was singing karaoke and there were people gathered around him it was the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen it’s like you tell people about it later and they don’t believe I mean a little person in a wheelchair singing karaoke I want to go back to that place it’s why still there singing I remember we we were getting gasses that we walked over like we have to check this out and we go over there and there’s people listening this guy sing karaoke he was absolutely amazing and you think that other people are going to get up but no oh boy this is like a show this guys put on a show just him multiple songs mostly Skynyrd and we go up and we just start listening and it’s a simple man you know kind of man and he said uh chassé chassé verse what he said should i censor it and i can’t remember what he said maybe he should be censored later no I mean it was now I’ll just I’ll since hurt my own mind and change it but he basically said disking we walk telling her like shaking her head and like the guy could tell we were kind of literate we’re into it we were into it and kind of checking out in the guy leans over he’s like pretty cool Lanie especially for a guy in a wheelchair yeah it’s like what why you got to say that yeah it’s like he’s pretty cool man especially for a guy in a wheelchair like I’m a stranger we don’t say that about people in a wheelchair well that guy did he did it was like that makes him even more awesome he’s singing it what what about being in a wheelchair makes you not be able to sing karaoke or if you’re a little person nut but I’ve done total package it I mean I guess I’m talking about it so maybe he’s right um it was it was pretty a young sense of virgins not really any different so I’m sorry to build that up that happen on a road trip friend think of something else that happened we would stop you drove across country the solo cross-country road trip and you guys speed what they can hear you Spencer I’m just talking about a solo 3-day New Jersey to LA road trip so when you make the move to Los Angeles the City of Angels he’s got a tither driver fly so I drove in 1992 Toyota Celica convertible uh you took a convertible across well is yeah wrecked on yeah exactly I drove cross-country you know you’re fitting right into the profile well you know I rag top Celica I mean that’s what they used to call me right were you listening to Bon Jovi the whole time Springsteen yeah okay right um anyway just it was like you know moving out to LA and did it in three days straight a little over three days and it’s just you know like 12 14 hours a lot of introspection oh yeah yeah I got pretty good like brewed Hayes crazy on like the third day your days it’s tough yeah you shouldn’t because we drove got a pull over we drove eight hours a day and eight to ten hours a day and did it in shifts and it took us five full days of driving well we stopped a lot in mythical beast it rest stops almost at rest homes that’s next lesson text next when we move back medical elderly the rest home tour um it will be of the age I you know I remember you talked about getting introspective I remember there was one video in that roadtrip series where that we like got serious and there was like an introspection about like what does this mean that we’re like moving out west we’re like trying this and I don’t know what’s going to happen remember there was like because there’s like a road that goes along the ocean in Australia and it goes past like with nothing the 12 apostles like rock formations that are those huge stone formations that are out in the water where the everything is eroded away and there’s you know there’s amazing off-roading like amazing surfing I want to go like on a month-long crazy road trip kind of like I mean you probably have seen the long way around or the long way down both of those mm whoo and McGregor documentary they’re really good to just I want to do something like that but they were away from home for how long at least six months eight months that sound has to coordinate that with the fam we should do something like that and then you know maybe we’ll get eaten by a shark or keep by kangaroo without be the end
