MK 1163: Making the Perfect Seafood Pasta For Last Meals ‪@KrogerCo‬ #ad

We all got to eat and we’re all gonna die. But I’m not dead yet. And lucky us because I’m partnering with Kroger to show you how to make an incredible seafood pasta inspired by a dish on Last Meals. What I love most about Last Meals is that you can truly see what’s been important in someone’s life. This pasta is inspired by a guest who grew up dreaming about eating fancy seafood, but their family could never afford it. And eating this was the triumphant moment they knew they’d made it in life. So, here’s how you can make it at home. First up, get a big pot of water boiling and add a hefty amount of salt. Then, you’re going to add about a half a pound of your favorite pasta to the water. Rezing some wonderful fuselone. Kroger has these super awesome muscles in white wine sauce. So I’m just going to follow the directions on the box. Add them to a pan till they open up. Oh, those are looking gorgeous. Next up, we’re going to cook our shrimp and scallops. And I’m just going to season them with a little bit of salt. To get a proper sear on the scallops, you want to make sure they’re dried off on paper towels and your pan is super super hot. You got to hear a really heavy sizzle when you add them to your pan. Now you’re going to remove them individually onto a separate plate. You’re going to repeat the same process with your shrimp. Now’s the fun part. We’re going to make a sauce for this pasta. We’re going to start by sautéing some shallots and garlic and a whole lot of butter. Now you’re going to add a couple of red chili flakes and delaze with cooking wine. Once that cooking wine is reduced by about half, we’re going to add our stock. Once the stock is reduced a little bit, make sure you taste it and season with salt and pepper. Now we’re going to add our pasta and give it a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Then add all your seafood back to the pan for just about 30 seconds to let everything really get to know each other. Now, at the very last minute, we’re going to grab a lemon and add some fresh zest. Put your pasta in your favorite bowl. Listen, most people would say don’t put cheese on fish, but you got to live a little, man. Barely itali. And then put some chives on there for a beautiful little touch of color. Some of that sauce. A scallop on there. Yum. The shallots and the garlic are doing so much beautiful heavy lifting in there, but then you get that lightness of the lemon. The key though was the perfect cook on the scallops. This is wonderful. Fellow grocery heads, what’s the one dish that would be on your last meal? No need to wait. Go to your local Kroger family store and eat it
