Today, I’m making lunch for my eight year old, Jonah. Starting with a grilled cheese that I’m cutting into the shape of his favorite cartoon character. It’s like a, it’s like a robot frog or something. I think it might be a Pokemon. I’m not really sure. The court appointed counselor said it’s important to remind Jonah of better times. And he loved it when we went to Hooters in Fort Lauderdale last summer, so I’m adding some celery sticks. And then about two ounces of leftover chili from the Wendy’s. God, he used to love his mom’s chili, but you know, we haven’t heard from Sandra in about six weeks, so. Nutrition’s really important, so I’m adding a scoop of frozen veggies. Jonah’s been getting bullied at school and his karate instructor, well, it looks like he’s still in Bermuda with Sandra, so I’m giving him some protein powder and raw eggs to bulk up “Rocky IV” style. And as always, I add a note to everyone of his lunches, just to remind him how much I love him. This one’s actually addressed to Sandra, though. Just in case she shows up to his school. Sandra, really it’s been long enough, come home.
