MK 348: Asking New Yorkers If A Hot Dog Is A Sandwich

Is a hot dog a sandwich? It doesn’t look like a sandwich, you see, there’s no bread on top it’s on the sides. It’s not a sandwich. Is a hot dog a sandwich? I would say so, yeah. Why do you think that way? Well, because, you see, there’s bread, anything that covers up a bread is a sandwich. The depth of the slice is what determines the sandwich. You talking about two and a half inches, my girlfriend says that’s enough. More than plenty, absolutely, so does mine. Yes. Yeah, I agree. This hot dog eating contest is just a sandwich eating contest? Oh it’s not just a sandwich, it’s the sandwich. I say yes. Are you gonna follow the woman? I always follow her. Smart man. No, ’cause it’s not real meat. Have you ever heard of a veggie sandwich, sir? Absolutely yes, it is a sandwich. It’s so simple. Is hot dog sandwich, Greg? I’m gonna go with no. And fight. No. Why do you feel that way? Hot dog is a hot dog in a hot dog roll. I’d say yes, because it has the meat with the bread and you can add whatever you want in it. Is a burger a sandwich? Yes. I wouldn’t consider that a sandwich. You know what I consider a hot dog? A nutrition. Coney Island, maybe hot dog’s nutrition. That’s the new name of the podcast.
