MK 508: We Made Beer Pie And You Should Too

Let’s make a Natty Light pie. Today, we’re gonna make my grandma’s favorite pie. She passed this recipe down. It’s been going for generations in my family. We’re gonna get a can of Natty Light in there. My grandma, she called it Fratty Light. Now we’re gonna take eight gelatin sheets and just dissolve that right in. My favorite story about my grandma is the one time that she was baking cookies, and then she passed out and then her oven caught on fire. And then when the fireman came, he said, “Maybe you shouldn’t drink so much.” And then she poked him in the belly and she said, “Maybe you shouldn’t eat so many cookies.” Now we’re just gonna pour that into a nice pre-baked pie crust. We’re gonna let this set up in the fridge. Now we gotta make a meringue. Just gonna add some sugar and a little bit of cream of tartar. Whip it up. Now you just wanna get a little spritz of Natty Light foam right on top. Lily! Beer pie! Wow. I’ve only had PBR pie. Is this Natty Light? Yeah, we’re not as artisanal. Try it. Yeah. Like party. Mm. Wait. Am I crazy or is this not bad? I like it. This was supposed to be a joke, but, like, this is not bad. My nana, that was fake. Just, all the stories, it was fake.
