Rhett & Link Take A Lie Detector Test | Fuse

[crime show electro music] Hi, my name is Lisa and I’m a certified polygraph examiner. For the past 8 years, I’ve administered over 2,000 exams. Today, we’re going to be finding out whether or not Rhett and Link can not only tell each other the truth, but me as well. -What is this? -Hi. Nice to meet you. Oh, goodness. Or is it? Oh goodness, look at the power that I have, Lisa. Ooooh, Lisa. [suspenseful piano] I’m going to be hooked to a lie detector machine and Link is going to be asking me questions. Good thing is I’ve been lying to him my entire life. It’s gone unnoticed thus far so I don’t think today will be any different. I also have incredible control over my biometrics, uh, ice water in my veins. My blood does not boil, it flows smoothly. I hear that there’s an expert involved, but I’ve been known to be able to fly under that radar of said experts. I don’t think today is gonna be anything new for me. Does my hair look good today? No. This line means that he’s not telling the truth. (laughing) You’re not into my hair today. Do you think I am more obnoxious than funny? Yes. Am I? No, he was telling the truth. (Rhett laughs) This is risky. Stop laughing. Oh. Have you ever stolen anything from me? No. Really? Yes. He’s telling the truth. To both? Yup. Have my kids ever pissed you off? Yes. I don’t like children in general. (whispers) Gotcha. I’m not even that fond of my own. He’s absolutely telling the truth on that. Oh my goodness. It’s okay. This is what they call damning. Have you ever complained to your wife about me? Yes. What? Is that a truth or a lie? No, he’s telling the truth. Have you ever complained to your wife about me? Have you ever lied to your assistant? No. He’s lying, isn’t he? You’re not telling the truth on that one. What!? You’re not tell- see? Face forward! Face forward. Don’t look at us. We can see into your soul right now. Which assistant? How many assistants do you have? Your exam is now over. Awkward. Your turn. To what? (exhales) [suspenseful piano] I just wanna take this opportunity to say that I’m not a liar. If it- if the machine says I’m a liar, don’t believe it. Don’t think any less of me. What you think of me really matters, and uh, I don’t want you to think of me as a liar… even though I may be lying. Link, do you like the shirt I’m wearing today? Turn your head forward. You should already know what he’s wearing. It’s very notable. Uh… yeah. He does. Hmm! It’s cool, isn’t it? It’s got cactus- cacti on it. It’s got cactus. It’s one of my favorites. Do you think my beard is stupid? Yes. You’re not telling the truth on that one. Ha, ha, ha. That’s right, you love this beard. Well, it’s not stupid, okay? But you like the way it looks with my shirt, right? Yes. He’s telling the truth on that also. Yeah. Are you in this friendship only because it’s been going on for over 30 years and there is no way out now? Yes. He’s not telling the truth. He really does wanna be your friend. Oh, and he likes my shirt too. -And your beard. -And my beard. He likes all of you. (chuckles) Well, he didn’t ask me that. Have you ever wanted to sit on my side of the table when shooting our show? Yes. He’s telling the truth. Oh, we can switch. I don’t care, man. Just haven’t had the guts to ask. I’m okay with switching. It doesn’t matter to me. It’s totally arbitrary. I didn’t wanna hurt your feelings. Would I kick your ass in a fight? No. You’re not telling the truth. (Rhett chuckles) This is not good for me. Why are we turning all the questions into building up his ego? Why are we letting him choose the questions? Hey! “Do you like my shirt?” “Do you think I can beat you up?” “You wanna sit on my side of the desk?” That’s the nature of the questions, man. The same kind of questions you asked me. I tried to get out information. You’re just trying to get compliments. Am I your favorite roommate that you’ve ever had? See? See? That’s all you care about, making yourself feel good. Am I your favorite roommate that you’ve ever had? No. You’re not telling the truth. He is your favorite roommate. (laughing) My wife is my favorite roommate… but she’s not a roommate. She’s my wife. She’s not your roommate, she’s your wife. -Yes. Yes. -Apparently not. Have you ever lied to your assistant? Yes. He’s telling the truth. He has absolutely lied before. (Rhett chuckles) Glad she’s not in the room. That would make this really awkward. Yeah. Get this off of me! Ah! I feel like I need to shower.
