TT2M 24: Confessions of An Awkward 20-Year-Old

I actually wanted to ask you some questions. Oh, no. That you ask people on your show. Okay. So will you rate me from one to ten? You know, I get it now, why that’s so interesting to ask, ’cause I’ve been asked that. Welcome to “Trevor Talks Too Much,” the show where I bring on a guest and I talk to them, have a little chit-chat conversation, and see if, by the end of 45 minutes to an hour, I can become friends with them. I’m your host, Trevor Evarts, master baker, mythical soft boy, and holder in of way too much pee-pee. I really have to tinkle right now. Really bad. But today I spoke with JHB Team, or James Bennett, social video editor at 100 Thieves, and he also hosts his own show over there called “TBH with JHB,” which is super funny. It was a great time. We played GeoGuessr, we talked about his phenomenal movie reviews on Letterbox, seriously, they’re so funny. And then all sorts of other stuff, like about how we’re both the youngest and how, you know, we both kind of operate as the young guys at the companies we work at, which is fun. I’m curious, though, ’cause I just had him on my show, I wonder if he’ll ask me to be on his. Part of me feels like he won’t, ’cause he has, like, bigger people on there. Like, he’s had a lot of people from 100 Thieves, and then also he’s had, like, Ninja Gunna, and he has, like, big creators, and so I feel like he might not ask me to come on his show. And I might be a little bit sad. But maybe I just need to get a little bit more famous and then he will. Maybe, and then also I wonder how much, like, Nate Shot and the other people have control over that as well, but if we start to get more people from 100 Thieves on the show, then maybe they’ll be like… Jack, come on the show, you might listen to this, who knows? Maybe James is gonna listen to this, and then he’ll hear me saying this, and he’ll feel bad, and, like, he has to invite me on. Ooh, good, good, guilt-trip him. Guilt-trip him indirectly through the show. That could be a good strategy. I think it might be. Well, now I’m embarrassed ’cause I forgot that this is a show that people listen to and I’m not just talking to you. ‘Cause right now it feels like I’m just talking to you, but then I realize also there are gonna be people listening to this, so now I feel awkward about even saying that. Ah, don’t feel awkward, people know. I feel like you’ve said more awkward things. What? Like what? Like about how I have to pee? No, I mean, I don’t know, you’ve said a lot of things, I can’t pull one up out of the air right now, but… Well, give me an example. Well, no, I don’t have one. Jamie… I’ll edit in one later. You’re killing me! When have I ever been awkward? I’m never awkward. I feel like a lot-ish. You did ask Suburban Timone. That was normal. Yeah. Everything that I’ve done has been within context normal. It’s when you take things out of context that people get hurt, Jamie. That’s true. Anyway. I’ll let you get into the show. Oh, okay, Jamie says it’s time, everyone. Let’s get into the show. Hello, everybody. Welcome to “Trevor Talks Too Much.” I have with me today a very special guest, JHB Team. Hi, how’s it going? Or James, as he’s known on his government name, his Christian name, James Bennett. Correct. And we’ve actually met once before. Only once? I thought we met more. I mean… I think it was only once. Yeah, it was the 100 Thieves party. Yeah, it was at a 100 Thieves party a little while back. I was, you know, had a few drinks, and I saw James. But you actually also know before, you know my girlfriend. Yes. Yeah. Before we started dating, you guys had been friends, so… Mm-hmm. We were, like, there was kind of like one degree of separation between us. So I’d say we were like Twitter mutuals. I don’t know if we’re, like, friends-friends. I mean, I’m on your show, so now… Yeah, well, that’s the point of the show. The point of the show is kind of like to see if I can make friends. Well, I’ll be your friend. You’ll be my friend? Wow, that’s easy! Let’s wrap it up! That’s a cut! Thanks, everyone, for listening to “Trevor Talks Too Much.” We got new episodes coming out every Tuesday, video versions coming out the following… No, I’m kidding. Well, that’s great news, so this is gonna go great then. I think that we have kind of shared some similar experiences. Okay. ‘Cause you started out, well, you started out as an editor for The Mob. Yes. And then you were hired as an intern at 100 Thieves. Yes. Yes. And a lot of people made a lot of jokes about that. That is correct, unfortunately. Yeah, yeah. So here’s the thing. I feel you. Because even though I didn’t start as an intern here, I think in, like, one of the first videos or something that I was ever in, Josh, my boss, said I have intern energy. Mm-hmm. And so then people just assumed I was an intern. And did you take that lightly or no? Yeah, I took it lightly. But then it’s like, it got to the point where it was like, there was people that were doing it light-heartedly and funny, like, “Oh, haha, he’s the intern.” And then there’s the people that earnestly think I’m an intern still to this day. Yeah. And they’re like, “Oh, like, they gave the intern a show?” or like, “Oh, my god, why is the intern doing this?” And it’s like- Or they just take the joke too far. It’s been two and a half years. That sounds very much similar to me, I’ll be honest, yeah. And like, we have new employees that join 100 Thieves, like, almost, let’s say, every week, and some of them even ask me, like, if I’m still an intern, even if it’s been after two years. Yeah, it’s tough. It’s tough out here. I think actually on a recent episode, I called ’cause I had Sigils on. Okay. And I think I called myself the JHB of Mythical. I appreciate that, thank you. Yeah. I think we’re kindred spirits here. You have your own show. Yes. TBH with JHB. Yes. It’s a great show. Actually, it is really entertaining. Thank you. Everyone should go watch it. I actually watched like a few episodes, like literally 45 minutes ago. Oh God. Coming in. Which episode? Oh God, I hadn’t seen the Gunna one. So I watched that. Oh no. Which was… Yeah. It was a treat. Oh, man. ‘Cause. I think the people that go on your show are kind of in on it, you know? Yeah. And this is someone that’s outside of the gaming industry. And so it’s just this random rapper that comes on and doesn’t really get the joke. Justin, when they told me that like yeah, “We wanna star Gunna on the show.” I was like, “What is-” Yeah. Okay. No, it was the most interesting news I’ve ever heard. Yeah. It was funny. No, I love your show. I think it’s great. Thank you. I love the editing on it. Whoever does that. Shout out, Autumn. Yeah. Shout out, Autumn. Autumn, you’re great. Autumn, you are awesome. Yeah. No. All the editing on those videos is great, but so what was it like going from being kind of like- Did you ever have those moments when people would like make jokes about you being the intern, or like, did you ever have those moments where you just tired of it? I mean, I’m the butt of every joke. So I mean, yeah. I can understand it. Yeah. I think I’m just, I was never used to being on camera. So I guess I wasn’t used to being in the environment of, you know, being known as an intern and then, you know, when you’re an intern, you get all those jokes. Yeah. Especially like in the position I was in on content, but I don’t know, I mean it’s fun. Yeah. It’s also terrifying at some points ’cause I never know what to expect. But no, I enjoy it a lot. Yeah. Well that’s good. I definitely get like being the butt of every joke. I don’t think I am. Well, no, I’d say so. I’m the butt of quite a few jokes at least on GMM. Yeah. They used you as like the resident, like, “Oh, okay, Gen Z person.” Yeah. Do you ever get that? ‘Cause I know that 100 Thieves is probably like a younger company generally. Like maybe. Yeah. So we just added a, we have a new guy who just joined our 100 T rouser, his name is Vinny Hacker. Yeah. He was born a month after me, but we’re both like the youngest ’cause we’re 2002 children. Oh my God. 2002? Yeah. See, I’m 1999 and I… I think I’m still the youngest full-time employee. I know we just hired a few more interns. We just had a few more interns come in and I think a few of them may be younger than me, but as far as full-time employees, I mean, I’ve been the youngest pretty much since I started working here. And so I’m definitely the like, “Oh, there’s a Gen Z thing, Trevor, what’s your opinion?” And I’m like… I don’t know. It’s definitely a big discussion of our company, because Nate shot the guy who owns it, he was born in ’92 and all the other co-owners are like born in the early nineties. And then there’s me 2002 to where they’re all just like, “How is that even possible?” Yeah. It’s definitely interesting because most of the creators there are like in their twenties and then… Yeah. My birthday’s tomorrow and I turn 20, so at least I get to fit in from there. Huge. Happy birthday tomorrow. Yeah. Thank you. 20. No longer a teenager. Yeah. That’s kind of sad for me. Because my whole character, like, I guess I could say character, even though it’s just me. My whole thing online, I’m known as like that, the kid. Yeah. And yeah, tomorrow I turn 20. No. That’s okay. You’re still- I mean I literally started here when I was 20. Right? Yeah. I started here when I was 20, ’cause I remember I couldn’t drink and it was always a big joke. Like literally like two months after I started working here, we had like a company holiday party ’cause I started, well maybe like a month after I started working here, and it was at like a bar in Hollywood. Yeah. And I was like, “Am I gonna be able to get into the party? Like the holiday party?” And they were like, “You’re not 21?” I was like, “No I’m 20.” And they were like, “You should be fine.” Oh, no. I did end up going. Oh, there you go. It was great. Like the 100 T party that you went to, I’ve had many people come up to me and are like, “You can’t drink that.” And it’s like a bottle of water. Stuff like that. I’m just like, okay. Oh. Whatever. Oh, it’s tough. Hey, one more year. One more year and you can start. Almost there. Almost there. So close. Even though it’s like so far. You asked some funny questions on your show. I actually wanted to ask you some questions. Oh, no. That you ask people on your show. Okay. So will you rate me from one to 10? You know, I get it now why that’s so interesting to ask, because I’ve been asked. 10. 10? Because that’s what I that’s they give me. That’s huge. So why not trade off the- Gunna gave you boring on a scale from one to 10. Honestly, I deserved that. That was the best part. Oh, man. Poor guy. He went there to do the festival and then they put him on my show so I can get it. Yeah. Hey, what are you gonna do? You had Minx on your show? Like I think like a month before we had her on, how does it make you feel that after she got done here recording, she said this is her favorite show that she’s done? Okay dude. It’s okay. We love Minx, nothing wrong with that. We do love Minx she’s so funny. Oh, yeah, the best. But that doesn’t matter. You’ve done a lot of cool stuff. I feel like since your journey started at 100 Thieves, like you spoke at the eSports awards. Oh, yeah. That was fun. Yeah. I didn’t watch them ’cause I’m a loser. But how is that speaking in front of like all those people at the eSports awards? I think, ’cause I’ve always been nervous in like my high school classes. To like even just presenting the simple project that literally has the text on the presentation. Yeah. I don’t know. It was terrifying. I had my friend Hudson with me who helped me out a tremendous amount. Yeah. Love Hudson. Hudson’s great. He’s great. One of the nicest guys. Yeah. Just the pressure overall, ’cause I was asked two weeks before ’cause I knew I was going. Yeah. They asked me, “Hey, can you speak? And I was like, “I’ve never spoken on a stage before.” Yeah. So I did it and I like, it was one of the greatest moments of my life probably, because the moment I read the name out and I just heard my name through the microphone throughout the entire arena, it felt like surreal. That’s awesome. It was great. That’s awesome. All of my friends on Twitter were just cheering me on it. It was awesome. Yeah. That’s sweet. I remember being on Twitter that night and just huge FOMO. Aw. I was just like, “Ah, man, that would be cool to go to, but I’m not cool enough yet.” Amen. Yet. One day. What you gotta do is you gotta interact with the eSports awards on Twitter. Be like, “Yes, I love this stuff.” And then they’ll be like, “This Trevor guy’s pretty cool.” Yeah. Yeah. You would say that you’re an awkward person? I, yes. I would say so. Yeah. So like, ’cause I would imagine that that’s not like completely a facade, but do you ever feel like you play it up at all? Like… I mean definitely on TBH there are times where I try and slide in the, you know, like the, “Yeah, you know, this isn’t me,” but in reality it’s me. Yeah. So time to time, if I try and make a joke, like completely just dumb and awkward then yeah. But I try my best to fit in. Yeah. No that makes sense. I feel like it’s kind of like what I’ve learned when- ‘Cause I mean actors and actresses, like they play characters. Yeah. But I feel like ever since, ’cause this is my first like production job, or doing anything in like digital content. And I feel like every time I’m on camera, it’s like, I’m not playing a character, but I’m definitely, I still kind of am. Like, I’m playing myself, but I’m playing myself in like a more exaggerated way. ‘Cause I don’t know, maybe I am that stupid in real life. That’s exactly how I feel. Yeah. Yeah. You just kind of exaggerate everything about you, whether that’s awkwardness, whether that’s energy, whether that’s being a weird kid. I don’t know. Yeah. Like there’s many times on my show where I didn’t understand the joke. Yeah. And I mean that’s made it in the cut. So there’s that part where it’s actually real and then the part where I’m like, “Yeah, yeah. Joke, guys,” but in reality I didn’t know. Yeah. That’s like me every time Rhett and Link say anything to me when I’m on GMM. Is like Rhett and Link make any reference from like their lives and they’re old. So they’re like, “Oh, you haven’t seen this movie, or you haven’t heard this song by some cowboy from the seventies?” And I’m like, “No guys, what do you want from me? I don’t know who that is. Like stop making jokes in my expense, please.” That’s what it’s like being the youngest one in my company. I get it. Literally. They have a character and I love- It’s fun. I love playing the character, but it was really funny when they asked me, they have me play his character on GMM called Ever. Okay. Who is just a Gen Z kid. And when they asked me, I was like, “So do you want me to just like be myself? Or like, do you want me to like, be like a stereotypical Gen Z-er?” And so then I ended up just being this character. It’s like, “Yo, what’s up guys? I’m Ever, and I love TikTok,” and stuff like that. And it’s funny. It’s fun to do. And it’s fun to like, I hit Rhett and Link with a Deez Nuts joke one time as that character, which is probably like the highlight of my career. But it’s just like, I was like, I don’t know. And then they’re like, “Yeah. So like you wanna dress and like Gen Z wardrobe.” I was like, “Do you want me to just like wear my clothes then? Or what do you mean?” Oh God. I don’t even know what that means. Because a lot of Gen Z people are also like taking back from the very early 2000s. They’re like, “This is new.” And I’m like, “No.” Could that be like, you know, supreme? Or like, I’m trying to think of what Gen Z would wanna wear. That’s what I’m saying is like, there’s like a ton of different like fashion. Like there’s so many different fashion trends inside of Gen Z. Like some people are like, you know, they have alt fashion, they have like cottage core, stuff like that. So it’s like, there’s so many different like fashion trends among Gen Z people. But it’s just funny. I love our writers. They’re hilarious. But sometimes when they ask me stuff like that, like, “So, yeah. We just want you to dress like a Gen Z person.” I was like, I don’t- I mean, I’m just gonna wear my clothes. I’m just gonna wear ’em. I mean, did they enjoy the character Ever? Yeah, they do. He’s been on a few times. Oh there you go. Perfect. Yeah. And you’re killing it. Yeah. Well, you know, they roasted me in the 2000 episode of GMM. Thank you. Yeah. That’s huge. Thank you. It was really big for me. It was funny because I felt kind of bad. I was like one of the only like crew members that got like a by name shout out. Like they shouted out like the whole crew, but then like literally the intro to the video, they like specified me by name. And I was like, “Why am I the only person that like had their name in the 2000 episode?” I feel like there’s people that are more deserving of that. No, I understand. I know what that’s like. Yeah. Do you stream a lot these days? I don’t as much as I used to and I wish I did. But I’m just like… So I’m mainly a social editor and social producer for 100 Thieves. Yeah. And I kind of put a lot of my focus into that over my own brand, which probably isn’t the best choice. No. Yeah. But I’ve just mainly been doing that. And whenever I just wanna chill back, I usually just… I’m not streaming as much. Yeah. I mean, I get that. I feel the same way. It’s like, it’s hard having a full time job. And then like going and feeling like, “Oh, now that I got home,” ’cause like, no matter how much you do it for fun, streaming still feels like work when you do it. Yeah. Like it’s not easy to do. It’s not easy. Like for me, at least, it’s not easy to just like completely chill and like not take it seriously. Like I wanna be entertaining all the time and like whatever. And it feels like there is a little bit of pressure ’cause people are watching. And so I used to stream a little bit, but I’m kind of in the same boat where it’s like, I get home and I just wanna chill and play with my friends or play RuneScape and watch a movie or something. RuneScape, 23 minutes, Jamie, jot it down. I mention RuneScape at least once every podcast. Oh, there you go. Yeah. There might have been one or two episodes where the words were not uttered. Yeah. Oh my God. It’s ’cause I’ve been getting back into RuneScape recently. So I’ve been talking about it a lot. So you’re saying in the Minx podcast, you said RuneScape? Probably. I think so. Yeah. Yeah. ‘Cause I can hear her saying going, “RuneScape?” Oh, yeah, I was confused. How do you get Minx and RuneScape in the same room? Yeah. Well, you know, I’m pretty capable of anything. There you go. Yeah. The way that episode started was about furry porn. Yeah. Thanks for bringing that back up, Jamie. You’re welcome. Now we gotta talk about it in this show. Yay. So James, what’s your favorite furry porn? God, I hit my head again. I’m like… Oh, I’m kidding. I’m kidding. You still haven’t had Pokimane on. I have not. Yeah. How’s that coming? I don’t know. She’s a busy woman. You know? I don’t wanna interfere with her schedule. She turned me down. Oh, see. To come on the show. Which is like, it’s like we had like a talent booker reach out, because that’s how guests get booked on this show is we have like our talent booker reach out. And then there’s like a document with like, you know, keeps updated with like guests that we have and that we’re reaching out to. And I remember going down and scrolling in Pokimane, and it was just like, next to it was like, “This is a pass for her.” And I was like, “Dang.” Aw. Yeah. I’ve had talent bookers reach out to the other people and then I’ll hear back. And if it’s like a no, I’ll be like, “Okay.” I know. I stopped looking at the sheet. I honestly like I, ’cause I probably should look at the sheet, but I stopped looking at it ’cause I would go through and I’d see all the people that said no and it made me feel bad. Yeah. Yeah. Because for one, I’ve always been like a big fan of these creators and seeing their, no, it kind of makes me feel like I disrupted them in a way, or like- Yeah. Yeah. I just feel bad for getting their attention literally. No. Yes. As sad as that sounds. I know. This is so relatable. Why are we the same person? Even like people that I’ve had on the show, like I had Myth on. Yeah. And it was a lot of fun and he was great and he was super nice and like, you know, he followed me back on Twitter or whatever. And then like I DMed him one time, and as soon as I hit sat on the DM, I was like, “Oh, why did I do that? I’m a failure. He probably hates me.” I’ve done that so many times. Oh, God. It’s hard. Man. It happens. I mean like what other choice do we have, man? It’s hard out here for a couple of young dudes trying to host shows and have cool people on. It’s insane. Oh, man. Dude, we should go to Topgolf. I want to go to Topgolf. Like where’s the nearest one? It’s in El Segundo. That’s where it is. Yeah. I literally went to Topgolf like a week ago. I’ve only been once and that was in Texas, but I had a lot of fun and the food there is great. It is. It’s good food. Good fun. Let’s go to Topgolf. Okay. ‘Cause I wanna go, I’ve been actually in like a golfing age recently. So same for me, except not golf. Actually I don’t know why I said same for me. Same for me, but something completely different. I meant to say sport-wise, I’ve played tennis for the first time on Saturday with friends. Yeah? And then we started… 100 T started the tennis club and one of my friends is like the runner of it. But like I was, I don’t, one of the founding members I guess. Yeah. Wait, I love tennis. Yeah. So. Can I join that? Oh. I need people to play sports with. I genuinely, I love playing sports, but I don’t know. I don’t have anyone to play tennis with. I’m hoping that since I turned 20, I can actually start exercising more, because I don’t do anything besides sit in a gaming chair all day. Yeah. And that is not good. Most gaming chairs are like terrible for your back. There’s so many memes on Twitter where I’m just like this in a lot of videos and it’s… That happens to me too. I found that I do it, though, like I think part of me, I tend to like lean down when I talk. Yeah. Because I’m pretty tall and I don’t like towering above people, and I don’t like feeling like people have to look up when they talk to me. So a lot of times if I’m like just hanging out, or if I’m like at a party you’re hanging out with people, I’ll always spread my legs out and then just kind of hunch down a little bit. Yeah. To like make myself shorter, because I don’t like want to tower over people. But then I notice sometimes like in videos, I’ll just be like, I’ll be leaned over a little bit or something. And then I’m like, “Oh, why am I doing that?” Yeah. That’s the thing with TBH. We sit in bar stools that are like not, they don’t have any back support or anything. Yeah. So I’m just kinda like hunched down, and then ’cause I’m always a nervous person on camera. Yeah. You know, you can imagine- So you close off your posture. Yeah. You know, like I keep to myself like I’m in a comfortable position, like I’m in my own world. Yeah. And I just look very like, my posture is bad. It’s horrible. Yeah. It’s tough out here for gamers. Check your posture. Okay? It’s important. And, yeah, my gaming chair, I always just sit with like my feet up in the air, on my desk and I’m like laid back, and that is not good for my back. I’ve like sacrificed being perhaps maybe a little bit better at Valorant for my posture. ‘Cause I’ll see videos of people where they’re straight up like leaned so far over in their chair, looking at their monitor where their monitor’s like right here in their face. And they’re just like leaned over playing and I’m like, I can’t sit like that. Like I’d rather be sitting up straight in my chair and be like leaned back and have my monitor further away. Just because if I sit like this, I just know it’s gonna be bad. I’ve seen so many Valorant like pro players do it like that or just play like that. And I have no idea how they do it. I don’t get it. I can’t sit like that. And they’re good at every game. Not only Valorant, with the screen that big. Yeah. It’s just right in the- I feel like when I sit that close, like I’ve tried it. I put my monitor that close to my face just to see, I don’t feel like it helps. It doesn’t, it doesn’t. I don’t know how it helps. I don’t get how that helps, ’cause I feel like I can see one thing, but I don’t know. What are you gonna do? Jamie wrote this question, but I’m gonna ask it. What are your family’s thoughts on your career? It’s very interesting. I don’t know. They watch every 100 Thieves video now, which is cool. That’s cool. But it definitely was interesting. Like, you know, like imagine your son is so awkward that they make a whole series out of it. It’s that type of thing. I didn’t even think about it like that. They love it, though. They love it. But I think the thing that I think about is they send it to either friends on Facebook, or like other family members. Like it could be my cousin’s like all that stuff. Yeah. And I just think like, “Wow, okay. Now they see me nervous,” which I don’t like to give off that impression, but I mean, since it kind of fits that whole like vibe, why not? Yeah. I think they love it, though. When 100 T first- ‘Cause I was editing for the Mob Guys and my parents were like, “Oh cool. He’s video editing for these guys.” Yeah. That’s cool. But then when 100 Thieves reached out to me, that’s when it like hit like the realization to them of like, “Our company reached out to our son?” Yeah. I assume that you grew up in Southern California then. Yeah. I’ve lived here my entire life. Okay. Do you ever wish that you lived somewhere else? Or do you wanna live somewhere else at some point? I definitely think about it a lot. Especially LA traffic is one thing that just makes me think about moving somewhere else. Yeah. It’s hard, though. Because like I guarantee if I lived somewhere else, I don’t think 100 T would’ve reached out to me. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So that’s one thing I always, always think about. But I don’t know. I’m a big Google Maps person, I’ll spend most of my time when I’m alone just zooming in on random places in the world. “I’m a big Google Maps person.” I don’t know what else to say. Do you play that game? What’s it? GeoGuessr? GeoGuessr. Yeah. I’m not good on it. Can we play a round of GeoGuessr, Jamie? Yeah. Go for it. Let’s do it. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. She’s gonna get it up on the screen here in a sec. That’s bad. ‘Cause I’m bad at I’m bad at- No, no, no. We gotta do it. So while she does that, do you wanna play a game? A little game I like to call rapid fire favorites? Yeah. Okay. So I’m gonna give you a category and you’re gonna have to tell me your favorite thing as fast as you can. And I’m gonna judge you. Okay. Based on what your answer is. All right. Number one. Yogurt flavor. Plain. Plain? Plain? I’m bad at flavors. Plain yogurt is your fav- Okay. That was weird. Number two- Vanilla pudding. Vanilla pudding yogurt? Is that even a real product? Like, I couldn’t think of anything else for yogurt. So I just said vanilla pudding. Vanilla pudding? Butter scotch pudding. It’s not yogurt. Butter scotch pudding yogurt. Is that even a real- That’s not a thing, but I did- I don’t know specific yogurts. Yogurtland’s good. I say that. Yogurtland is good, but that’s again, that’s not a flavor. Pick a flavor from Yogurtland. What is a flavor? Chocolate? Sure. Chocolate yogurt. I’m not good at naming the flavors. That’s why 100 T puts me in like “guess the chip flavor” videos. I don’t know how to describe anything. Because I’m the most plain person ever. If you take me outta a fancy restaurant, I’ll get like a burger or chicken tenders. Chicken tendies. I respect that. Okay. Number two. Type of furniture. Leather. Okay. Yeah. That’s good. I was expecting like I was, I genuinely thought you were gonna say like, “Chair,” and I was gonna be like, “Okay.” Leather, leather furniture. Okay. Okay. I like that. Number three. Sound effect. Brah. Brus, brah. Brah sound effect number two is my favorite sound effect. Yes. I have a friend who has like a sound board that like he has linked up to his computer and anytime he joins like a Discord call, he just plays the like Among Us like… Oh, no. Every time. And I’m like, “Dude, come on, man.” Come on. He’s like- Okay, is this our GeoGuessr? Okay. So we’ve got some motorcycles, some little moped-looking things. Can we see to the right a little bit? Can we get a little bit more? A little bit. I’m gonna need some more. I’m gonna need some more. Is there anything on the street signs? Yeah. Yeah. Can you, can you push us down the street? This is definitely 2009 street view. 2009? I don’t know. I just said that. Wait, wait, go back. Look at that sign. Can you zoom in on that? The red one? Yeah, yeah. Yeah. I don’t know. Scroll wheel. No, go back. Scroll wheel. Why does it feel like we’re getting farther when you go forward? It says, “Stop.” Wait a minute. That’s… What language is that? Not stop, stop is English. I get that. Do you want me to go somewhere else? I think it’s Taiwan. Taiwan? You wanna go with Taiwan? I think that’s Taiwanese. I think this is Taiwan. ‘Cause they also ride a lot of scooters there. My dad was there and that was one thing that he said when he visited there was that they’re all- Oh, they got cars. They do have cars. James, they have cars. Like the movie. “Like the movie,” what movie? Cars? Oh my God. Ca-chow. That’s Taiwan. This is gonna be right. I guarantee. Hold on. Jamie, help me out here. I’m trying. We’re Taiwan though. It’s right there, it’s right there. It doesn’t matter where it is. Taiwan, right there in the screen. The little island to the right, to the right. There. Guess. North or south? Let’s go. Let’s freaking go. Nice. Let’s freaking go. Okay. I’m good at that GeoGuessr. All right. One more round? Yeah. Oh, okay. Oh, James into it. What is this? What the heck? This is the worst start. This is one of those car panoramas. Bun… We’re citizens- Bun troggalys infrastructure? What do you think bun troggalys is? I don’t know. Yeah. Scroll wheel. This is one of those- I’m trying, it won’t let me go out anymore. This is is out as it goes. Can you move it? This is a weird one. This is one of those ones that like Google hired, like people that live in that country. Oh. That’s why the panorama’s like not the best. Okay. Okay. Hold on. Let’s just sign here. For sale. For sale. Okay. Christ. It looks like this is in… It looks like the UK. You think this is UK? Wait, wait, wait, wait, go back to the car. Go back to the view of the car. What side of the street is he driving on? Okay. A man has glasses that’s in the car. Wait, can we see him? Wait. Yes. Can you zoom in on the guy’s face? For those of you- He’s on the left. Yeah, he’s on the left. Okay. We got it. He’s on the right. But it’s a right side driver. So I think it might be UK or Ireland. It could be UK. Ooh. Ireland’s a good one. It could be UK or Ireland. I don’t know. It seems… Could be Ireland. It could not be. Who knows? Let’s go Ireland. Let’s do it. Please be Ireland. Come on. Wait what? It was a small island. It was the Isle of Man? The Isle of Man. How are we supposed to know that? We also got a lot of points for that. I mean we’re very close on both these. Yeah. I was gonna say this is quite impressive. We’re kinda goated. We’re kind of goated. Dude do you wanna join a competitive GeoGuessr league? As a team? Yes. Yeah? Okay. Can you start the Mythical Google Maps club? Dude, we used to do this actually sometimes on like our lunch breaks when we’d be like shooting stuff. Yeah. We would go into the board room and someone would like cast GeoGuessr up onto the screen. And while we ate our lunch, we’d all, it would be like eight of us in the room trying to figure out where we were and we’d just play GeoGuessr. But it’s pretty fun. Have you guys been playing like games, like Hurdle or Wordle? Yeah, I was gonna say, have you played Whirled? It’s like the- Oh, too many variants. It’s the geography one. I think I played that one a couple times. That one, it’s really tough. They always do these obscure islands that no one’s ever heard of. I’m like how? Yeah. Like the Isle of Man. Isle of Man. I played Framed, which is a movie one. Oh, I love Framed. Yeah. I like to consider myself a film guy. Even though you could talk to me about a film and I won’t know what to say, unfortunately. What’s like your favorite movie. Do you wanna see my Letterbox? Do you know that is? Yes. I wanna see your Letterbox. It’s got the worst… Ah, God. It’s JHB team. JHB team’s top 100 favorite movies. Oh, God. Patron, you have 1,300 followers on Letterbox. That’s huge. I don’t know how. I make the worst reviews in movies. These aren’t bad movies. The Graduate, Taxi Driver, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, American Psycho. See the Letterbox can name it. I can’t because I’ll just think of a lot of movies. Recent reviews. Oh, no. Wait popular reviews. Well, what are my popular reviews? Isn’t it Kanye’s documentary? Yeah. “Jeen-yuhs:A Kanye trilogy. This Kanye guy has potential.” 18th of February, 2022. “This Kanye guy has potential.” My most popular review by the way. Yeah. Literally your most pop- I wanna look at more of your popular. They’re so bad. Wait a minute. Why am I get- Stop. Wait, this movie Among Us from 2017, you gave it half a star and then you did like a dot drawing. What are those called? I think it’s a dot drawing. Yeah. You did like a dot drawing of- Is that Germa? Germa doing the sus face. Jamie, can you Google Germa suss? And just put the image up on the screen. Germa sus. Germa sus. I love Germa. Oh, I can’t wait to- There it is, there it is. I love Germa so much. That’s absolutely terrifying. I’ve never seen that. I met Germa at the Streamer Awards and he is one of the nicest guys. He seems like one of the nicest guys. He’s so funny. Have you seen his video where he’s like the PC doctor? Maybe I… He has this… Jamie, how much time do we have? Can we just watch it? No. Okay. Dang it. Sorry. Bo Burnham Inside, four and a half stars. “When the song Unpaid Intern came on, all my friends looked at me and laughed.” See? It’s painful. Superbad, 2007, four and a half stars. Superbad, I actually enjoyed it quite a lot. Laughing, crying, emoji. That was bad. That was horrible. That was like a Sanchovies’ tweet. God damn, I love Sanchovies. Sanchovies is the one of the funniest people ever. Is he still banned on Twitch? I know you he got banned. No, he got unbanned. Let’s go. Yeah, he got unbanned. I love Sanchovies. His Twitter, do you follow his like private Twitter account? I don’t. I don’t. Oh my God. It’s so funny. It’s like what’s his- I think his at is like triangleterry75, or no, I think now it’s musichater75. It’s one of those just like, “why not” type name? He just has a private account and he like never tweets on his main anymore, but he literally, all he does on his private account is just over and over again just tweet, “I think I’m addicted to trolling.” And just like stuff like that. And then he’ll… I wanna pull it up. He’s so funny. He’s actually a child. I love it. He’s so, he’s literally a child. He’s great. I want him on the show so bad, but he lives in Canada and I don’t know if he’d be down. Oh, God. Which one is this? Okay. This is The Breakfast Club, 1985, 4 stars. “I’m more of a dinner person, tbh. Like yeah, breakfast is good, but if I wanna drink soda, isn’t it better to drink it later in the day? Well, tbh soda probably wasn’t the healthiest choice or example on my statement, but you can literally do more during that time instead of it all being with breakfast early in the morning.” Why did I go full out on that one? Pulp fiction, 1994, 4 and a half stars. “Very underrated, more people need to hear about this film.” Oh my God. So I saw your talk of doing that. And I asked Trevor, I was like, “Is he just that young? Or was that a joke?” Yeah. I was like, “There’s no shot that’s not a joke.” Like it’s all a bit everything’s bit. I’ve never actually heard someone read these out before, but I’m crying laughing. And they’re my own dumb jokes that like, I would cry to myself like laughing while in my room at night. This is so stupid. Well, but this is like the kind of that I wanna tweet. And this is what my drafts is full of is just stupid tweets like this. If I tweet, I know they’re gonna flop, because nobody thinks it’s funny but me. I feel you gotta let it rip anyways. I gotta let it rip? Okay. I’ll pull up my drafts and I’ll read some off right now. Okay. And then I’ll let you pick one to tweet. Yes. Okay. Okay. You can be my Twitter advisor. All right. Oh, God. “Hi. Welcome to Walmart home of the penis.” Which I think is hilarious. I mean, you made both of us laugh. I think that’s funny. “What is,” and then in quotations, “sex?” That’s a good one. Yeah. “I’m the Jack Harlow of baking.” What does that mean? Like I’m the Jack Harlow of baking, like baking pastries ’cause I went to culinary school for pastries and baking. And then it’s… Excuse me, ’cause of my old is showing. But like I know who Jack Harlow is, but like is it just because he’s like super famous right now? No, that’s actually ripped from Sanchovies too. Oh. Yeah. I have a question. So every time you reply to a girl on Twitter. Yeah. Are you joking or is there some amount of you that hopes that… Depends. What kind of joke? I don’t know, I don’t know. It just seems like you’ve crafted this character of like, you’re just like get rejected by every girl on Twitter that you reply to. No, that’s fair. That’s fair. I mean… And I don’t know if it is a joke, but like, or if you’re being earnest, ’cause sometimes you know, like your tweets pop up, your reply, and you’ll just be like, “So pretty.” And I can’t tell if it’s a joke of you being like, “I’m joking to be a reply guy right now.” Or you’re genuinely trying to compliment a friend. I like being a reply guy, but at the same time I like to try and fit in with the creators and be like, “Yeah.” Yeah. So it’s a mix of both. I can’t really tell, I can’t really say. That makes sense. It happens. Do you feel that pressure though? Like, do you feel like that pressure of when you’re on Twitter or doing whatever that like, if you don’t tweet something funny then people won’t care about you? Yeah. But I’ve also slowed down the way I used. Like I’ve slowed down my usage of Twitter recently. Yeah. And it’s actually been much more healthier for me. Yes, same. I don’t tweet as much as I used to. Yeah. Which is kind of a good thing. And I used to have a thing called tweet deck up, where it just shows live Twitter on my monitor. Yeah. Yeah. I don’t know why, but I’ve had that up for like six or seven years. Yeah. But I don’t know, lately I’ve kind of just chilled down on it. Just focused on work, all that stuff. But… Yeah. It’s… Yeah. I’ve definitely had the stress of, “Oh, I don’t have a tweet today. I guess it’s chalked.” Yeah. Stuff like that rather than just like the old days when I could just kind of tweet whenever, even at 3:00 AM and not even think about it. Yeah. No, that makes sense. I mean, I feel the same way. I used to like be worried. I was like, “Oh, if I don’t tweet something funny, like nobody’s gonna care about me.” Or I would like every time I tweeted, I would just go onto Twitter and I’d constantly be like, refreshing checking. Like, you know, people were liking it or whatever. Yeah. I’ve definitely tried to slow it down too ’cause it’s just unhealthy and like, it’s hard to find that balance though. And like part of your career is having a presence on social media. That’s the problem. It’s the stress of like, “Oh, I have to come up with an idea or else like everything is chopped.” Yeah. Yeah. But there’s also like- I’m happy with my position because since I’m working beyond the scenes with 100 T, I don’t need to worry too much about like me as a creator. Yeah. But since I definitely have that presence, I need, I should. Yeah. But at the same time, it’s not healthy for me at all. No. Yeah. I get that 100%. You wanna wrap it up with one more game? Yes. Let’s do it. All right. This is a game called “What’s In My Pocket”. Okay. So I’m gonna give you a few clues. You’re gonna guess what the item is that’s in my pocket and if you guess it right, then you get to keep it. That’s not what was in my pocket. Okay. So, okay. Fun fact. There’s a golf ball under your seat. That’s not the item. ‘Cause here’s the thing, this was gonna be the item. But then Jamie was like, “Oh, I have this golf ball.” And it’s a freaking Pro V1. That’s a good golf ball. And I was like, “No, I’m keeping that for myself.” So I’m sorry, but you don’t get the golf ball. It’s a different thing. I had more. Well, I want those too. Pro V1s are really nice and they’re very expensive. Anyway. Yeah my boyfriend’s probably gonna be like, “You gave away what?” That was great comedic timing for me to just accidentally drop this golf ball that I’ve been squeezing in my hand this entire time. The loud noise. Yeah. Well ’cause, I don’t, I get very fidgety. Yeah. And so normally I get fidgety with like the microphone, or like my coffee mug, but then with this I was like, “Oh, I can just squeeze this golf ball in my hand.” All right. But here’s the actual clues for the actual item that’s in my pocket. Okay. It is a popular child’s toy. Jamie wrote these clues, by the way, so if they’re bad, blame her. At the last second. Okay. Resembles a person. Resembles a person? Resembles a person. And there’s usually a large group of them. Is it one of those? I could just be totally guessing. Is it one of those like parachute army guys? That was one. Let’s go to the jury. I mean it… Kind of. Kind of. Does it have a parachute? No. So is it an army guy? Yeah. Yeah. Wow. Wait… That was good. In my pocket. And you get to keep it. Yeah. Enjoy that. You can throw it out. How did I do that? I don’t know. I know. That’s so weird. We had a bonus clue that was Toy Story if you didn’t get it, and I didn’t think you were gonna get it first guess, but then you just, you just went for it. What did we just say the clues were? You said it was a popular child’s toy and there’s multiple? Yeah. Resembles a person. There’s usually like a lot of them and it resembles a person ’cause normally, you know, you’d see ’em and they’d be all like stacked up. Yeah. I was trying to think of like maybe a superhero, like a Spiderman doll or something, but then you said it resembles a lot of them and it’s like- Yeah. There’s usually a lot of them. There are a lot of soldiers. Do you have any other questions that you wanna ask me? What is like one iconic video game that you wish you could bring back? Oh. Like, let’s say the servers aren’t up anymore. Oh, the servers aren’t up anymore. That’s tough. A game that I wish I could bring back ’cause the servers aren’t online anymore. Either the servers aren’t online or it’s just like no one plays it. Or just no one plays it. Okay. There’s actually a game that I remember playing when I was a little kid. There’s two, and they were games that were on the original Xbox. And I remember I would play them a lot. They were multiplayer games and I would play them with my family. So my brother and I, and my mom and dad, we would all play them together. And there’re two of like, I remember having the most fun ever when I was a kid playing them and I’ve tried to like, I don’t care. I probably put 10, 20 viruses on my computer trying to find an emulator to play these games. But I just could never find one. Gauntlet, Dark Legacy. Okay. Was one of my favorites. And then there was a game called Dungeons and Dragons Heroes. There was a game for the Xbox. And I just remember having the most fun playing that with my family, is like a multiplayer RPG, like Dungeons and Dragons game. But I’ve never been able to play that since. And I’ve like wanted to play it. Yeah. Since like forever. So those are definitely two games that I wish I could have the chance to like play again. That’s the same case for me, with me and my brother. ‘Cause we always played a game called Warhawk. Yeah. When we grew up and now the servers aren’t online anymore, unfortunately. But that was like our game. Like that was kind of one of the games that got me into, I don’t know, just gaming overall. Yeah. And just the old PlayStation 2 days with like Ratchet and Clank going commando. Oh, yeah. That’s good times. Yeah. My parents, they were… My dad more so, but my mom played some with us too, but they like were gamers. My dad was always a gamer ever since like, you know, the original Baldur’s Gate. Like he used to play that with his friends. And so growing up, it was like, there was always games around. And then, you know, they got us into, me and my brother, into RuneScape when we were young, and they would just like give us free gold and help us with all the quests and stuff. And so gaming has always been something that like, even though once my parents got a little bit older, my dad didn’t play as much anymore, but it’s always been something that we’ve like done as a family. So… Aw. And all my best friends in Idaho, like all my best friends from high school, I’m still like friends with them to this day, like really close with them just because every night we play video games together. Right. Like multiple nights a week we’re online on Discord talking to each other playing video games and it’s like we’re in the same room, you know? That’s awesome. Like, so I’d say, I mean, video games are like really important to me. I know it’s like a lot of people, a lot of older people, whatever people are like, “Oh, it’s just like a waste of time,” or there’s a classic like boomer like thing. And I’m like, “I don’t consider it.” When I play RuneScape by myself in my room, That’s a waste of time. I’ll give you that. That’s a waste of time 100%. But if anybody ever tries to tell me that me playing video games, like with my closest friends and hanging out is like a waste of time, I’d be like, “You’re stupid.” It’s just like, “Whatever, man.” It’s like hanging- It would’ve been the same thing if we’d went outside, or gone to a movie, or gone and like gotten food somewhere. Like it’s the same exact thing to us, if not better, like it’s me spending quality time with people that I love. We just have you playing a video game. Yeah. You’re entertaining yourself. Yeah. So I mean, what’s wrong with that? Yeah. Everyone’s there have a good time. And even like, I mean all the stuff like with like Twitch and YouTube streaming, I mean the amount of like money that’s been raised for like charities and stuff over the course of, since Twitch got really big, like it’s crazy. Right. I mean, there’s been some of the most like… Some of the biggest like charity events ever that have happened because of Twitch, because of gaming, because of streaming, and stuff like that. So if you hate video games, I hate you. Aww. I’m kidding. So are we friends now? I would say so, yes. Put her there, pal. Let’s go. Put her there. That was a terrible handshake. I really didn’t- We didn’t connect the web there. Yeah, you’re right. That was like a finger shake, but we’ll figure it out. It’s an awkward angle. I went over the mic. There. That’s a firm shake. That’s a firm shake. All right. You’re gonna see my pit stains. Well, that’s huge for me. What would you like to plug? Tell people where we can find you. Well, check out the 100 Thieves channel for TBH with JHB. It’s the series where I interview creators very awkwardly. You guys will either hate it or love it. We’ll see. You’ll love it. Thank you. And then you can follow me on Twitter, jhbteam, Instagram jhbteam, and two Ms, because if someone else took my original name and then put my YouTube channel in their bio. Cringe. youtube.com/jhbteam, stuff like that. You could find me. JHB Team, wherever you get your content. JHB Team. He’s there. Thank you. Doing some cool stuff. Go check him out. Thank you for coming on the show. Thank you for having me. Of course. Everybody, that was JHB Team, James Bennett. What a good kid. What a good kid. Please go check out a show, TBH or JHB. They’re like 10 minute episodes. And they’re really, really funny. If you thought he was awkward here, then you’re gonna watch a show and be like, “Wow, I didn’t know it was possible to be more awkward than that,” but he is, but it’s really funny. He does a great job, everyone over there, James and Autumn, the editing is amazing. Very funny show. Would highly recommend. And yeah, go check out his socials and whatnot. Jamie, how do you think that went? It was so good. He is so nice. And so sweet. He is. And like you guys, I feel like connected over so much of being like the youngest people. Yeah. It was interesting because I’ve definitely thought about it before, but I haven’t ever really had a long conversation with James before and after talking to him, I realized how similar it feels like, we both were, we were like young, we’d never had like a job in this industry before or anything like that. And we both just kind of got dropped into it. And then now we’re the young guys and there’s kind of those jokes that get made about us. But I mean, it was really cool to talk to him about that kind of stuff. It was a lot of fun. Yeah, no, I think it was great. I love that you go his movie rev- Those are great. He’s really funny. I don’t think he gives himself enough credit. He does not. ‘Cause he was talking about how he’s like, “Oh man, like those people are so funny,” but he’s really funny. Like those movie reviews are hilarious. Oh yeah. I could like, literally- That could’ve been the whole show. We could’ve just gone through all of his film reviews. I would’ve been down, honestly. And his tweets, his Twitter’s hilarious, his show hilarious. Like he’s a really funny person and he’s very nice. And I don’t think he gives himself enough credit, ’cause I think he’s really talented. And I think that he seems like just, he’s like a shy, awkward kind of guy, which I think he knows he is. Yeah. But I don’t think he realizes how funny and talented he is. So hopefully he’s listening to this and realizes. Yeah, I hope so. James, you’re great. Everyone, I have something very important to tell you. We are doing GME 2.0.
