[Music] look at us we’re at skate park aren’t we cool that’s the point of the video right I’m trendy and cool and hip the thing about this video is it’s like slightly inappropriate but it’s still okay cuz there’s no like real references and see oh no never mind forgot about this part can we ask you how you felt about the kids react episodes to you both of them honestly I think are funny did you have any thoughts about us before we ended up being able to meet um I was just concerned of the what you would have thought of me but then we worked together on my music and um I realized that hey it’s good we’re all friends what did you think though after Friday had come out and then became one of the biggest things that ever happened in online video history I I couldn’t believe it to tell you the truth I saw it when it had like 200,000 views and I it was like on tosh.0’s blog I thought it was a marketing scheme I was skeptical of that guy that wrapped in it he was just trying to create a pop star not to create a pop star that you’re going to an an unintentional hit which is what the internet is all about in a lot of ways that is insane that this song that everyone apparently hates is so big I was just so confused like I thought people only listen to songs that they liked why do you think she decided after all this time to follow up Friday because it’s like the Olympics every two years I think she she just started to become comfortable like with the whole concept of that it was stupid you know now she actually is embracing the fact that the video was stupid I’ve been following her like I know she’s been doing the whole YouTube thing she’s doing covers she’s kind of she’s kind of like a part of the YouTube Community Now Dave was probably like hey got this idea it’ll get a load of views she’s like oh my God you’re such a genius your hair is so choppy and cute let’s do it what do you think she was trying to make a statement with Saturday totally I mean you know she was making fun of the the whole video is almost making fun of it right I think she’s just trying to have fun maybe you know poke some fun at herself she’s all grown up now but still the same person screw all of you I really don’t care what you think I just want to make a song I hope the statement is I’m going to make a song for every day of the week so I am slowly but surely going to sing her songs every morning can you talk about how you feel Friday and Rebecca Black has changed the internet in terms of other people and videos being created similar to Friday oh my God the amount of people who thought they would get famous like Rebecca Black after she did Friday is crazy right after that people started doing it I remember that hot problems video you can make it purposely bad now or purposely shocking somehow and like you are now a celebrity and then what you do with your celebrity after that is up you know the world’s at your fingertips everybody’s so thirsty for followers they’re willing to pay anybody or sing anything or slap their moms you know it’s crazy this was something that was just like a genuine oops what did I just create situation and for that to turn into something that’s like let’s try to recreate that magic I’m just like stop it it’s insulting to her to to say oh all of that that you went through all of that lifechanging that you had to go through at such a young age and had to stand back up and be stronger than ever yeah let’s do that again to some other poor little girl so when Friday happened and there was all of that hate while at the same time you were being brought on to television and becoming starting to become a celebrity to some degree can you talk about what the experience was like um it was really weird and I think I didn’t really understand what was going on at the time because it was so young one of my first interviews was on Good Morning America and they asked like in the middle of the interview out of nowhere um so do you like Justin Bieber and I’m like oh my God yes I love Justin and they said will you look into the camera and ask him to do a duet and so me 13-year-old goes okay and so I did and I still get crap for that why didn’t the duet ever happen I don’t know I don’t know you can ask Justin get Justin on the show look into the camera Justin I’m still [Applause] here
