we don’t have anything against plants but we think they may have something against us let’s talk about that good morning Chia Lincoln it is Wednesday January 19 2001 and one we want to thank all of you who are coming over to this series from our main channel because we have a video on our main channel today thank you bringing you over to this series this is good morning she Lincoln those of you have been faithful viewers for the past two weeks or so thank you welcome back I lift my glass to you people and I take a sip of coffee good morning GI Lincoln is a talk show of sorts where link and I don’t have guests we just talk to one another and we’re going to talk about things as long as our Chia Lincoln is growing maybe longer who knows people are asking for this thing to go longer and your comments are valuable every weekday we’ll be making these videos for you at least until this guy does something crazy now you know what we’re going to check in as we always do with Chia Lincoln at the end of the episode but I just want to go ahead and say at the top of the episode that I’m not very happy with chi Lincoln’s performance to date in it you know it just makes me question you know us as horticulturalist you know have we have we have we I was going to say missed our calling but that would be the opposite I was never called to be a horticulturalist is is that being confirmed here I just thought that I had a green thumb of sorts based on past experiences when I was a child I was actually a child at one time I know it’s difficult to believe but she looked exactly like you do that was just a very small version of myself you’re not year I had a beard and I came out with two very large black eyebrows out of the wound with black eyebrows yeah we have the thumbnail on yesterday’s episode that had the creepy looking al I was like dang if that doesn’t look like a Rhett yeah but I didn’t say that as a motto 40-percent al when I was a child I was like I want to plant something I want to change the world actually I didn’t had nothing to do with the world it was just I want to plant something I want to see something grow mm-hm and there was a spot on the side of my parents house down a Buies Creek North Carolina were that no one great is this second okay so we’ve known each other for a year at this book yeah and I’m like I want to plant something and there’s this spot where there used to be a bush and in my parents side yard and now there’s not a bush there I’m gonna go and find a bush so I go out in the woods and I see this little bush okay bushes don’t grow in the woods usually people that’s usually trees but it was this pretty little bush so I just grabbed this thing pretty little but yeah pretty little bush and I grab this thing and I take it and I dig out a hole in the side yard and I plant that sucker in there I covered up I water it I leave it you didn’t cultivate it you know I left it for 25 years so we go back to Reds house like you know what I got at his parents I grew up at the house I mean I saw the progress of this thing yeah but I go back and I me not seeing the progress but knowing what you did remember from grade school you came to school one day in the lunchroom he I I planted a bush like it was the best thing ever I’m like whatever changing the window so you know I visit his house I mean I know I never look over there until one day I notice there’s like a cedar tree growing right beside the house like out like this like is you know it grows too directly up it doesn’t yeah and if you go to my parents house even a house this Leaney you if you go to my parents house today you’ll see there’s a nice little house why did they plant that 40-foot tall cedar tree right next to it as if it were a bush the apex of my parents roof is right here on the side of the house and then like seven or eight feet above that is the top of the cedar tree that I planted when I was in second grade and it’s like I think it’s ruining the foundation I bet it in I think they need to get the thing removed but they feel like they would hurt my feelings if they cut it down because it’s like retz bush mmm maybe they don’t even know that it’s there no they know maybe they haven’t looked on that side of their house you know when you really grow accustomed to something you don’t look at it anymore just like parents your house is kind of being uprooted by a 40-foot tall cedar tree maybe you should do something about that but this is but so much success with me yeah that is that is some support for us to be able to do this Qi Lincoln thing I mean I also planted I built my own little two-foot by two-foot garden in the side yard and planted a watermelon in there in like fourth grade and it grew one watermelon this big like a mini watermelon I took in a house and slice it up and ate it all myself I don’t think so you’re trying to say that you grew a mini watermelon I think what you did is you failed it growing in actual water no no no it was intentional I think good at this that calls into question that but you know I never planted anything my wife plants a garden and I’ll eat some stuff out of it but you know I might dig a hole or two for but I you know I’ve never claimed to be a horticulturalist or that it was my calling in life but we we did cut down a tree once what grade do you think this was six or eight sixth grade sixth grade retina and our other friend Ben Ben Greenwood he he was like the the wilderness man he was like Bear Grylls of Buies Creek North Carolina he had all these great ideas we go over to his house and he’d be like let’s Dam up this Creek today or let’s buy kayaks in and go down the river at flood stage or in sixth grade living on the edge we go over to his house one day and he says I’ve got this X let’s chop down a tree yeah and so the three right idea the three of us are like yeah this is great we just go out into the woods we I mean I’m not proud of this but I will say that I did plant a tree people so I had the right to cut one down my my tree contribution to the earth right now is net zero okay yeah and I guess mine is negative one if the tree actually came down so we’ll reveal that now the tree did well but how big was this tree I I would say six hundred feet tall no realistic I got a rut lie realistically I would a bigger ant yeah I would say that it was that big around it was like an oak tree three sixth grade boys with one ax hand in this axe off to one another it took us all all day all day it was like we never didn’t take any water out there was just like gotta cut down this tree Wow was it fun no no breakfast no lunch no water no no don’t it look like it’s fun it was I mean I’m having a blast I remember that’s how we talked in sixth grade you we would we would wedge this thing I remember thinking it was never gonna fall down we were gonna have to quit but like Ben was not a quitter so think about this was dangerous we didn’t know which way it was gonna fall and if they had a fallen there’s three of us it could have easily killed all of us oh yeah and I remember I remember we kept all of a sudden was like hold on you know we’ve been chopping away for like literally six hours like you stop do you hear that just hear a little creak her it sounded like it was groaning or we had you know out of a tree this big we’ve probably hacked half way into it maybe 65% of the way aah and then run and we don’t know no we didn’t run this is what we did we looked at each other and we said it’s coming down everybody get one last chop it don’t you remember that like we each took a big chop and then it still wasn’t coming down but it was groaning raw and you will go from grudge yeah you remember what we did then we each dropkick the tree how do you remember all this I distinctly remember it like one one one notch with the axe each and then we drop kicked it and then it came down and it was glorious it reverberated throughout the woods when a tree falls in the woods and three sixth graders are there they hear it it’s it was like the rite of passage into manhood – getting an HD television watch the previous episode people okay so what’s the conclusion here I you know I think what we’re getting at is that we don’t have a tremendously great track record when it comes to cultivating things but you know a piece of pottery that grows like here I think what I’ve done is is we don’t have enough sunlight in here and then last night link left the heater on and put Lincoln right in front of it and he completely dried out the left side of his his whole head the vent was blown right on it it was like we’re not giving up first of all we’re going to do everything we can to bring him to full T&S and you know we’re committed to this join us
